Match #1
The Basham Brothers (w/ Shaniqua) vs. Rob Conway/Shark Boy
Our night started off with a strange tag team contest as the Basham Brothers with the returned Shanqiua took on the makeshift team of Rob Conway and Shark Boy. Conway's regular partner, Nick Dinsmore, was originally scheduled for this match, but he was not in the building at match time, so Shark Boy was sent down to the ring in his place. Nothing against the talents of Conway and Shark Boy, but they were not prepared to team in this match. The Bashams are former two-time World Tag Team champions, and with Shaniqua back at the helm, Doug and Danny had few problems with their opponents and picked up the win.

The Basham Brothers (Doug Basham and Danny Basham) defeated Rob Conway and Shark Boy when Doug Basham made Shark Boy submit to the torture rack in 0:07:08.
Rating: ****
(Nick Dinsmore no-showed.)

Match #2
The Hurricane vs. "Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero
Our next match would prove to be a good one as The Hurricane and Eddie Guerrero locked horns. It was announced this past Monday that Eddie Guerrero will have a chance to capture gold as he will wrestle Eric Angle and champion Monty Brown in a triple threat match for the North American Title at Best of the Best, and with Guerrero's recent unstable nature, it was easy to tell that for the first half of this match, he was looking well past The Hurricane. Now GCW's resident superhero may not have the most impressive win/loss record around, but he never fails to compete and can give anyone a run for their money. With a couple more breaks in his favor, the Man In Green could have pulled this one out, but one high risk too many cost him and a Frog Splash from Latino Heat was all she wrote.

Eddie Guerrero pinned The Hurricane with the Frog Splash in 0:10:23.
Rating: *** 3/4

Match #3
MAIN EVENT
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Billy Kidman
Our main event featured a fast-paced contest between Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman. On paper this looked to be a highly competitive match between two of the best cruiserweights in the world, but Mysterio's state of mind going into his December 19 showdown with Television champion Christopher Daniels gave us a domination instead. Mysterio will generally play to the crowd and wow them with his high-flying offense, but tonight, he gave us angry, focused, and full steam ahead. Jumping Kidman before the bell rang, Mysterio didn't give his opponent much time to breathe, let alone mount a consistent offense. Kidman tried what he could, but Mysterio was completely in the zone, finishing this one off in dominating and impressive fashion with the West Coast Pop.

Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned Billy Kidman with the West Coast Pop in 0:06:22.
Rating: *** 1/2

Christohper Daniels had better spend as much quality time with the Television Title as possible, because if Mysterio wrestles like this at Best of the Best, I don't think anything can stop him from becoming a two-time Television champion.

Silly Dinsmore, I guess he got all Eugene and wandered off. No matter, the Bashams quickly wiped the smile of Shark Boys face. At least they're not getting completely lost in the shuffle right now, and they're bound to have a part in the Abyss angle that's just started.

Nice build for Rey, hopefully Daniels will get a little chance to show off his stuff before the PPV. Actually, seeing as I reckon he's retaining anyway, he might not need to.
