PNW: The Beginning (July 9, 2005)
Everett Events Center, Everett, WA

Welcome to the Everett Events Center in Everett, WA for the first ever Pacific Northwest Wrestling event! Tonight we'll see the first ever PNW Northwest Champion crowned in a 6-man battle royal! Also, a Four Corners Tag Team Elimination match to decide the first ever PNW Tag Team Champions! We'll also see the semi-finals to determine what two competitors will battle over the PNW Puget Sound Title!

First tonight, we're going to see a triangle match between Christopher Nowinski, M.I. Smooth, and Elix Skipper!

Triangle Match:
M.I. Smooth defeated Christopher Nowinski and Elix Skipper when Smooth defeated
C. Nowinski by countout in 0:06:51.
Rating: 3/4*

Smooth pretty much dominated this match with his power. He toyed with Skipper and Nowinski until he got tired of it, and then took Nowinski outside the ring, delivered mean powerslam on the concrete outside the ring, and then just left him there to be counted out.

Up next, we have a Four Corners elimination match for the PNW Tag Team Titles! The Dudley Boyz, Destruktion, The Mamalukes, and newcomers The Full Blooded Italians will square off in an elimination rumble to determine which team will get to be the tag team champions!

Four Corners Match for the vacant PNW Tag Team Titles:
The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Reno) defeated
Destruktion (Wrath and Crush), The Mamalukes (Big Vito and Johnny The Bull) and
The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley):
x Vito beat Wrath via the Frog Splash in 0:14:21
x D-Von beat Johnny The Bull via the Inverted DDT in 0:20:55
x Reno beat Bubba via the Roll The Dice in 0:28:24
Rating: ** 3/4
(The Full Blooded Italians won the PNW Tag Team Titles.)

After the match, Little Guido picks up the microphone.

LG: Pacific Northwest Wrestling...prepare for domination by the two truest paisans you have ever seen. Myself, and my man Reno, have taken the tag team titles, against the odds. We beat up on those two "mamalukes." Eh, Reno...I say we finish off those two bastards once and for all next month...what do you think, pahtnah?

R: I think you have the right idea, Guido. Mamalukes...you give us true Italians a bad name, and we've already had enough of it. You're a disgrace, and we're going to wipe you bastards out for good.

(Reno drops the mic and The FBI walk out of the ring holding their newly won title belts.)

Next up is the first of two Triangle elimination matches. The winner of each of these matches will move on to next month's show to compete for the PNW Puget Sound Title.

AJ Styles is the first one down to the ring. Before anyone else can come down, he takes the microphone.

AS: So this is Washington, huh? I think I like it. What I like most about it is the fact that whoever runs this joint realizes true talent, and they're giving me a chance at a title that I will certainly take and run with. So this match is the first step to AJ Styles' dominance of PNW? Alright. I've got Konnan...a legitmate contender...someone I would be willing to fight any day. But what is this Mike Sanders BS? This guy calls himself "Above Average?" Way to put yourself on a pedestal, Mikey. You may be "Above Average," my man...but tonight you're going to fall to someone who is simply Phenomenal.

[Winner Moves On To Puget Sound Title Match]: Triangle Match:
Mike Sanders defeated AJ Styles and Konnan:
x Styles beat Konnan via a Hotshot in 0:18:51
x Sanders beat Styles via a flying cross body press in 0:20:05
Rating: ** 1/4

After winning, Sanders hopped up and started yelling at the crowd. He walked away from the ring, but did not go into the back. Instead, he pulled up a folding chair, and sat next to the ring entrance. Apparently, he wants to watch the next match and scope out his competition. The winner of our next match will go on to face Mike Sanders for the PNW Puget Sound Title at next month's event.

[Winner Moves On To Puget Sound Title Match]: Triangle Match:
Bob Holly defeated Chris Kanyon and Billy Kidman:
x Kanyon beat Kidman via a vertical facebuster in 0:16:15
x Holly beat Kanyon via the Alabama Slam in 0:18:25
Rating: ** 1/4

The crowd was really hot behind Billy Kidman during this one from the very beginning. With every back and forth move between him and Kanyon, the crowd got hotter and hotter. After Kanyon beat Kidman with the vertical facebuster, the crowd fell flat. Bob Holly jumped into the fray and hit Kanyon with a barrage of offense that ended with him hitting his Alabama Slam finisher and pinning an already exhausted Kanyon for the win. Next month, it's going to be Bob Holly vs. Mike Sanders for the PNW Puget Sound Title!

As Bob Holly disappered into the back after his match, the arena went dark and filled with fog. When the lights came back on 30 seconds later, Christopher Daniels was standing in the middle of the ring holding a microphone.

CD: Pacific Northwest Wrestling....meet your messiah. It is I, the Fallen Angel. The one that you will soon call master. For now, though, it appears as though I've been overlooked. I was completely left off of this show. How can one leave the MESSIAH off of it's show? It simply will not do. So for now, I am laying down an open invitation to anyone back there that think they can take on the single greatest force in this place. Any takers?

STAND BACK! THERE'S A HURRICANE COMING!

Out runs "Hurricane" Shane Helms! He doesn't waste anytime, not even letting Daniels get his robe off before attacking him. The bell rings, and this match is on!

Christopher Daniels pinned Shane Helms with the Last Rites in 0:09:11.
Rating: ***

Despite the weak start, Christopher Daniels recovered quickly, and took over control of the match. Shane Helms had a few flurries of offense, including a beautiful moonsault that almost led to a 3 count, but Daniels took it in the end, hitting his Last Rites finisher and taking the victory.

Up next....BATTLE ROYALE FOR THE PNW NORTHWEST TITLE! THE 6 GREATEST SUPERSTARS IN PACIFIC NORTHWEST WRESTLING, ALL IN ONE RING! AND IT STARTS RIGHT NOW!

6-Man Battle Royal for the vacant PNW Northwest Title:
Shane Douglas won a 6-man Battle Royal:
x R. Steiner defeated Snow after a Steinerline in 0:05:59
x Candido defeated W. Regal after a waistlock suplex in 0:16:42
x Rhyno defeated Candido after the Gore in 0:16:49
x R. Steiner defeated Rhyno after a Steinerline in 0:18:25
x Douglas defeated R. Steiner after the Pittsburgh Plunge in 0:24:39
Rating: ***
(Shane Douglas won the PNW Northwest Title.)

The crowd was hot as can be for Rick Steiner. People must be excited to see him getting his shot at glory. On the flip side, everybody absolutely hated Shane Douglas. He was getting the most heat of anybody on this show tonight. Chris Candido put together some really solid combinations, proving that he's not a joke, he's here to be taken seriously. Unfortunately for Candido, he suffered a nasty cut on his forehead that obscured his vision. That didn't stop him from taking care of "Lord" William Regal with a waistlock suplex, but it did keep him from seeing the charging Rhyno right after securing that pinfall. Rhyno nailed an unsuspecting Candido with the Gore, and finished him off as well. Rick Steiner showed why he's a legend with his patented Steinerline to eliminate Rhyno, and that left us with Steiner and Shane Douglas in the hottest 6 minutes of action we had here tonight! It was really anybody's game, and the crowd was so hot for it that they actually started throwing garbage at Shane Douglas outside the ring after he threw Rick Steiner into the steel steps! When the action tumbled back into the ring, a missed Steinerline led to a boot in the gut and a Pittsburgh Plunge, and that's all she wrote for Rick Steiner, as Shane Douglas secured the pinfall and became the first ever PNW Northwest Champion!

Hate to see Nowinski lose.  I'm big on Nowinski.  I'm kinda mild on M.I. Smooth.  I'm looking forward to seeing if you can make him entertaining to me. :)

It's kinda funny to see the FBI and the Mamalukes, though I imagine that you could probably get some great "mob family" angles out of it if you wanted.

Definitely didn't see the Mike Sanders win coming.  I pegged Styles to win it for sure.

I was torn on who I wanted to win the next one.  I think Holly was probably who I was leaning towards most though.  I'm not real big on Kidman and between Holly and Kanyon, Holly just seemed more like a title contender right off the bat to me.  I'm gonna pick him to win the title next month.

Hurray impromptu match!  I like Daniels going over the Hurricane.  For some reason it just wouldn't have felt right to have Daniels put all that big talk up and then get wizzed on.

Boo Shane Douglas! :)  I hope Steiner gets a re-match.

Good first card.  I look forward to more.

On the flip side, I like Douglas so I'm happy to see him pick up the duke there.

Yes, Daniels would have looked like a complete spazz if he'd lost there. Instead he comes over as a big threat, at least in these early stages. Pity he wasn't in the title picture tonight, but all good things...

So, the ultimate question - booked or unbooked?

Interesting first card. I would've rather had Skipper win the first match, but I guess Smooth works too.

Sanders vs. Holly is a shocker. Styles seemed the most main event ready of your roster on first glance. Hopefully, Sanders can keep going against Holly though.

Daniels and Hurricane. Quality. Daniels did need to win, but hopefully the Hurricane won't just be a jobber for you.

Douglas seems best suited to win the belt out of the six.

Looking forward to seeing what's coming.

Hey, I was just booing cause he's the heel :P  I'm liking Shane Douglas as the champ too.

I'm curious as to what the answer is too. :)

Drumroll please.....

UNBOOKED!

If the need arises, I will book certain things. For instance, I certainly would have booked Christopher Daniels winning if need be, because he would've looked like a damn idiot losing after saying all those things. But I didn't book any of the other matches. The battle royale turned out exactly as I wanted it to...I wanted either Steiner or Douglas to win, so that was nice.
