NAWA Glory 12/4/03

MattHarmsPosted on 07/06/05 at 15:00:32

Welcome to another edition of NAWA Glory. We are TAPED 11/28/03(but airing on 12/4/03) from Dayton Ohio. Tonight we will see a number one contender for the NAWA Cruiserweight Title be declared when Petey Williams, Jack Evans, AJ Styles, and Michael Shane face off in a four corners match. Also in six man tag team action, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, and NAWA Television Champion Ron Waterman team up to face the NAWA Tag Team Champions Sanders and Stasiak and Miles Stylish. Raven is in the house, as is Christopher Daniels and the number one contender for the NAWA World Title Jerry Lynn, along with Jeff Jarrett.

"Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple plays and out comes Shane Douglas. Douglas looks pretty ragged, like he hasn't shaved in a week, wearing a torn t-shirt, and ripped of jeans. Shane Douglas enters the ring and gets on the microphone.

Douglas: Cut the fucking music. As you can see, as of late I have been down on my fucking luck. My paycheck got cut due to me not being a top star anymore and what little money I did make, well I spent it paying off doctor bills, and that still wasn't enought. I had to sell my house, my car, my ring gear, and pretty much all my clothing. It's all this fucking companies fault for not giving me time off to heal my injuries. Let's just say that I am pretty banged up and I have pretty much lost it all due to injuries recently. The only thing I have left in the world is my fucking job and that is the only thing I have left to lose. Other than that, I have nothing.

The crowd boos Douglas.

Douglas: Yes, laugh you little jackals. I got mine from all the evil stuff I did in the near two year history of this rat trap of a company but it is time I return to greatness. My downward spiral began when I lost to Harry Harris in the final round of the Gold Rush tournament earlier this year. Yes Harris, you since became NAWA World Champion, a belt that should be mine so Harris I am going to challenge you for the belt tonight because my downward spiral ends tonight. So Harris, get out here and bring my championship belt with you.

Douglas pauses as "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins plays and out comes Harry Harris. Harry Harris has a big bandage on his head from the beating that he suffered at Last Chance at Redemption but he is here.

Harris: Once again, Shane Douglas. How many times do I have to beat you, before you will take the hint? I beat you in at Gold Rush. I beat you with the NAWA World Title on the line at Rage in the Cage. Which might I add stipulated that if I won that match, then you would never get a shot at the NAWA World Title again. So sorry, Shane Douglas, your time has passed as a viable contender for the NAWA World Title. Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars.

Douglas looks pissed.

Douglas: What the fuck, how dare you treat me with such fucking disrespect? I have carried this company on my fucking back for nearly two years, if I hadn't, this company would have sank a long fucking time ago.

Harris: Well perhaps if you hadn't lost to Twizted Youth a couple of weeks ago, maybe I would give you just a little respect but then again, I don't think I should because I am the NAWA World Champion and I have beaten you, so I have nothing left to prove against you, Douglas.

Douglas: All right, Harris. You don't have anything to prove but I bet you would give anything not to see me in this company again. So how about tonight, I put my career on the line against your title.

Harris: If I beat you again, Douglas, I don't have to see your face or here your foul mouth another day past today. Sounds like a good idea to me. You got your title shot tonight. Enjoy you last night in the New Age Wrestling Alliance Douglas, because tonight, I don't plan on losing to you.

Harris leaves as we got a match tonight for our main event. Shane Douglas faces off against the NAWA World Champion Harry Harris. Career vs Belt. Is this a mistake for Harry Harris, as he is less than one hundred percent do to the beating that he suffered back at Last Chance at Redemption? The Franchise is willing to put the only thing he has left, his contract to the NAWA, on the line for a shot at the Championship of the World. That is your main event, tonight.

"The French Horn of Doom" plays and out comes Lord Napoleon of the French Revolution. Lord Napoleon enters the ring to boos from the crowd. Napoleon will face off against the Gambler who last fought against two weeks ago on this program. The Gambler creamed Napoleon in that match in ten seconds flat and tonight Nappy attempts to get some revenge, but I would doubt it.

"Highway to Hell" by AC/DC plays and here comes the Gambler. The Gambler pinned Shane Douglas ten days ago at Last Chance at Redemption and has been on a roll as of late. Last week, he was beaten down by the Hart Foundation, the Next Generation but saved by AJ Styles, so something is up there, perhaps a tag team match could be in the works in the near future. The bell rings and this match is underway.

Lord Napoleon vs the Gambler

Napoleon charges the Gambler but Gambler ducks and a clothesline knocks Lord Napoleon down. Another three clotheslines and the Gambler picks up Napoleon before slamming him down. The Gambler goes to the top rope and Roulette Spin knocking down Napoleon. The Gambler covers and scores the pin, once again squashing Lord Napoleon.

Jack Evans has been knocked out cold with that vicious shot. The Gambler rushes off before Petey Williams can attack him.

Dan Marion is standing by backstage with Norman Smiley. Norman Smiley is on crutches after last week.

Marion: I am standing backstage with the man who plays by the rules and has nothing to show for it, Norman Smiley. Norman, how does it feel to once again lose to Jerry Lynn.

Smiley: I gave it my all and my all wasn't enough. Lynn was the better man on that night. There will be other days and last week just wasn't my time.

Marion: You don't say? That sounds like the mating call of the loser Norman. I mean let's face it. Half of your last reign as NAWA International Champion was Jeff Jarrett retaining the belt for you.

Smiley: I will ignore your smart ass comments Mr. Marion, as you are entitled your opinions, even through I think they are slightly misguided. As for Jeff Jarrett, he used me to get what he wanted. He wanted the NAWA World Title Belt and he did not get it so I feel a bit happy about that. StarClash, Jeff Jarrett, that is when your end is upon you. My leg shall be healed up by then and I will put an end to your evil.

Marion: Yeah, you do that Norman. I personally look forward you to see you lose to Jeff Jarrett and blow yet another Pay Per View Match. Speaking of blowing things, coming up next, Twizted Youth will be action against the Sandman. This is NAWA Glory and we are taped a week ago, so you probally already know who won since you read the spoilers, you little cheating punk. See you after these commercials.

Backstage:

Dan Marion is standing by backstage with the NAWA International Champion and the number one contender for the NAWA World Title at StarClash, Jerry Lynn.

Marion: I am standing backstage with one of the most eccentric wrestlers in the history of this grand sport of ours, Jerry Lynn. Jerry...

Lynn: Hold it up right there. You insulted me by calling me eccentric, Danno. I prefer the term slightly insane or mentally unhinged, thank you very much. Anyway continue.

Marion: My mistake, Mr. Lynn. I must say through, your beating of Harry Harris at the last pay per view and then your totally distruction of Norman last week, was two of the most entertaining things in recent memory. Now my question to you is, why do you think you have not been given an NAWA World Title Shot until now.

Lynn: Very good question and let me state my reasons. It seems to me that Jerry Lynn as NAWA World Champion would be a public relations corporate nightmare. I am not a nice person at all. I don't follow the company line and I like to hurt people. I have earned a title shot several times over but the rug has always been pulled out from underneath me. Now I have forced this company to give me a title shot and on the second biggest Pay Per View of the year at that. I promise to walk out of StarClash 03 as the brand new NAWA World Champion. I mean, it's No Holds Barred, that means there is no rules to handicap me, so would YOU bet against me.

Marion: I don't think I would. Ladies and Gentlemen, this has been a word with the next NAWA World Champion Jerry Lynn. Coming up next, Raven will be in action against the Juice. Switch the station and we'll send the lawyers after you.

[commercial]

"Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica plays and the crowd boos as the Juice makes his way to the ring. The Juice enters the ring and goes for the microphone.

Juice: Finally, The Juice has come back to Dayton.

The crowd cheers for that cheap pop.

Juice: Rah, Rah, Rah, let's cheer the Juice because he said his hometown because we have little amounts of self esteem. Shut your mouths jabroni. Tonight, Raven is the latest victim to go to the beatdown hotel. He will know his role tonight, as the Juice layeth the beat down on his rooted poo candy ass. Raven better be prepared to go one on one with the excellent one or he will get put down with the beat down, if you smell what the Juice is cooking.

"Come Out and Play" by the Offspring plays and Raven makes his way to the ring. Raven has his usual brooding expression on his face as he steps into the ring. Raven will face off against Christopher Daniels in three weeks time at StarClash in a Last Man Standing Match. The bell rings and this match is underway.

Raven is trying to break the fingers of the Juice. Raven drags Juvi to the outside and forces the Juice's hand into a fist before driving it into the ringpost. Raven grabs a chair and jabs the edge of it down upon the wrist of the Juice. Raven grabs the hand and rams it into the guardrail. Raven grips the hand and into the ring bell. The Juice falls down, clutching his hand. Raven goes for the microphone.

Raven: Did you see that Daniels? That is only a fraction of what you are going to get come StarClash. You have awakened the demon inside of me, Christopher Daniels and the demon will ravage you. Come Starclash, I will be the Last Man Standing. So it is written, so it shall come to pass. Welcome to the Terrordome. Quoth the Raven...

Raven's microphone is cut off in the middle of the catchphrase and the arena goes pitch black. Evil chanting is all that is heard in the abyss of the darkness of the arena. Nothing can be seen, even the commentary has been cut off. The blue lights come back on and the ring is surrounded by druids. Raven is looking confused at the proceedings and Christopher Daniels is standing in the ramp with a noose in his hand. Daniels is muttering under his breath and as Raven tries to get to the ring, pryo on the ringpost explodes, preventing Raven from trying to leave the ring. The Druids circle the ring and Daniels waves his hand and they walk off one by one, leaving a very confused Raven in their wake. The pryo goes off one time, setting the top rope on one side of the ring on fire.

Raven looks up at the NAWA vision and words are appearing one by one, in blood red writing. Once they are finished, they say: "The darkness will consume you, Raven. Beware of the Dead Pool. We are returning to claim your soul after you turned to the side of good. See you soon in Hell." After about a minute with that message, the lights come back on, the message vanishes, and we see a mannequin dressed like Raven hanging from a noose from one of the balconies. Raven walks off, with his usual sullen expression but it appears that Christopher Daniels is playing mindgames with Raven leading up to StarClash. Daniels may be playing with fire attempting to out psyche Raven, so he could very well get burned.

I had to find a replacement and I think this man will do nicely.

"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and out comes Miles Stylish. Miles Stylish will face off against Ron Waterman at StarClash 03 for the NAWA Television Championship and not only that, the match will be inside the confines of a fifteen foot high steel cage, to prevent Stylish from running from Waterman and any outside interference. Stylish gets on the microphone.

Stylish: Ron Waterman, the so called undefeated superstar in this company. He hasn't defeated anyone of note so far and once he gets in the ring with a true superstar such as myself, he will be exposed as the fraud he is. Last time I proved it, back at Truth or Consequences. Waterman is beatable, if the referee had done his job correctly and not stalled for the count, I would have defeated Waterman on that night in the center of the ring. StarClash is when it happens Ron Waterman, that Television Championship is coming to me along with the pleasure of me being the one to snap your winning streak. You may be tough, those shoulders may not have ever been pinned to the canvas but you are not the greatest wrestler in the world today. You are not the wrestling god himself. You are not Miles Stylish and after StarClash, you will be a run of the mill wrestler as I take away both your championship and your undefeated streak. Tonight in this six man tag team match, I will give you a little preview of what's to come.

Stylish drops the microphone as "I'm Too Sexy" plays and out comes the NAWA World Tag Team Champions Mike Sanders and Shawn Stasiak along with Vince Russo.
