Hector Guerrero pinned Essa Rios with the Butterfly Suplex in 0:06:55.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Hector Guerrero retained the Cruiserweight Title.)

Los Guerreros appeared on the Kings Court on todays show, but to kick things
off, the little matter of a routine title defense for the cruiserweight
champion, Hector Guerrero. Actually it's only his second, and Essa Rios put up
a good show, but some A-grade cheating from Hector (hitting Rios with some
brass knucks) got the win.

As for the Kings Court, Los Guerreros had some choice words for Rey Mysterio
who has scored some victories lately at Los Guerreros expense, including last
night at Survivor Series where Rey pinned Eddie, making Eddie the first man
eliminated in one of the sensations of the night. Atfer badmouthing the high
flying Rey with their usual pointlessly cutting remarks, King Kanyon informed
them he had just been told who Hector would be facing at Fall Brawl. Los
Guerreros looked worried at it being Rey, but Kanyon told them it wasn't Rey,
as he would now be getting a show at the intercontinental title and "The Rock"
Brad Armstrong. Now THAT pissed off the brothers who felt that one of them
deserved the shot more. Just to rub salt in the wound, the other man who
survived last night, former cruiserweight champion Low Ki, will be the man to
face Hector at Fall Brawl. The new might be bleak, but let's see how Hector
and the rest of the clan handle this.

Alex Wright and Ulf Herman defeated
The Young Lions (Christian York and Joey Matthews) when Herman pinned Matthews
with the Power Bomb in 0:03:03.
Rating: ***

Alex Wright and Ulf Herman have made themselves a lethal little combination.
The smarts, drive, hatefulness and slightly warped mind of Alex Wright combined
with the sheer ferocity of his bodyguard Ulf Herman makes an exciting force
to go up against not. Matt Hardy, in his unbiased wisdom, saw this and threw
The Young Lions up against them, now deciding to take it out on his former
running buddies. No mysteries to be solved here - the Lions were crushed by
the absolute dominance of Ulf Herman. That giant is just a scary prospect to
go up against.

Lance Storm made Curt Hennig submit to the Maple Leaf in 0:16:13.
Rating: **** 1/4

The Syndicate may be rolling towards a rematch at La Resistance for the
intercontinental tag team titles or maybe even another shot at Psychoanalysis,
but there are other teams in the mix. Pretty Perfect are one, barred from any
shots at the world tag titles as long as Psychoanalysis are champs, but they
can quite easily work on building plenty of wins to put them in contention
when the titles do change hands. So today representatives of both teams
squared off - former Intercontinental champion Lance Storm and the man who
claims to have a victory over Jerry Lynn, Curt Hennig. What we got was a
terrific wrestling match, both men giving their all, with Storm finally coming
out on top with Hennig struggling desperately to hang on in the Maple Leaf
but finally having to tap. On the back of this, who can deny The Syndicate,
and who can even deny Pretty Perfect?

Psychoanalysis (Brian Pillman and Sean O'Haire) defeated
The Miracle Violence Connection (Steve Williams and Terry Gordy) when O'Haire
pinned S. Williams with the Seanton Bomb in 0:09:27.
Rating: ****
(Psychoanalysis retained the Tag Team Titles.)

Following a good performance last night by the Miracle Violence Connection,
they were nominated for their first shot at Psychoanalysis in their tag team
title match tonight. Psychoanalysis have made great tag team champions, but
their own seperate issues right now could ultimately prove distracting in the
long run. Yes, it could have been so tonight. Earlier in the evening, Chris
Jericho came down to say that if Brian Pillman has a problem with him, he
should come out and say it. Perhaps Pillman will have something to say about
that in due course. Kurt Angle too came down for a slightly less civil
expression of words, calling Sean O'Haire a nasty commie bastard and Johnny
Foreigner lover. O'Haire will almost certainly have something to say about
that in due course.

Still, despite the disappointment of how their Survivor Series match ended
last night, Psychoanalysis got on with the job, didn't let these outside
conflicts do any damage and scored an excellent victory. Not that the Miracles
were below par, they were their ever solid selves, but Psychoanalysis were on
top form tonight. Now to settle a few other issues...

Devon Storm pinned Dean Malenko with the Thunderclap Brainbuster in 0:06:32.
Rating: ****

It wasn't the breakout nights that Devon Storm and Dean Malenko had hoped for
last night, but each man was on the winning team at least. With the chance to
square off today, these two former Intercontinental champions remained even
throughout until Devon finally shone through to score the win. The comeback
begineth here perhaps?

Steve Corino pinned Masato Tanaka with the Old School Expulsion in 0:10:26.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Steve Corino retained the Television Title.)

Steve Corino turned out to be one of the MVPs of Survivor Series last night,
and his teammates knew it. Corino and Angle of course had faced a five-on-two
deficit and their opponents looked almost certain to complete the first ever
clean sweep in Survivor Series seven year history, before Corino and Angle
had together comeback. Fellow teammates Billy Kidman and Dean Malenko were
understandably extremely grateful to be receiving the winners share of the
purse money and the two put on a small do backstage to thank and congratulate
them - Angle for starting the comeback by eliminating three men, and Corino for
finishing the job when all looked doomed again to be the sole survivor. Both
Angle and Corino were equally grateful for this - Angle saying all his partners
last night showed themselves to be true Americans, and Corino for having the
best tag team partners he could wish for, citing Kidman in particular. Makes
you want to be sick.

Corino had work to do though, defending his title against one of the two men
he eliminated from Survivor Series last night, Masato Tanaka. Tanaka had
impressed with his staying power last night, also scoring the fantastic visual
of a big huracanrana off the top rope on Dean Malenko. Tanaka looked good
again here and saw the chance for the same move. Corino punched his way out
and began to clamber back into the ring. Tanaka looked to do the same when
BAMN, Old School Expulsion out of nowhere, and off the second rope at that. If
nobody ever kicks out of that, Tanaka certainly wasn't going to after taking
it that bad, and Corino defends again. Now one question remains - why didn't
Brad Armstrong take part in the celebrations backstage with the rest of his
team?

Gene Snitsky & Heidenreich (Gene Snitsky and Heidenreich) defeated
Los Villanos (Villano IV and Villano V) when Snitsky pinned Villano IV with the
Baby Boomer in 0:04:13.
Rating: **

So Matt Hardy has himself his bodyguards at last. The escaped mental patients
Gene Snitsky and Jon Heidenreich might be out of their minds, and extremely
irritating with their constantly hoarse, hammy way of talking and belief they
have super powers but nobody is going to be in a hurry to mess with our
beloved commissioner (cough cough) with those two flanking him. And boy are
they flanking, Hardy doesn't want them out of his sight, so nervous is he that
somebody is going to try and do a number on him, so he accompanied them to
ringside for their tag team match tonight against Los Villanos.

Obvious why this match was set up really - Hardy wants to showcase Snitsky and
Heidenreich to the rest of the DWF and make sure they all know they're not to
be messed with, and who better to lay down and die for them than Los Villanos?
Perhaps it wasn't QUITE as clear cut as Matt would have liked mind you. With
both Villanos staggered and out on their feet, Heidenreich lowered his shades
and tried to do his laser bolt thing. Hardy rolled his eyes, shooed the ref
aside and nailed the Villano that Heidenreich was aiming at. Snitsky went for
his non-existant fire breathing move on the other Villano who got punched by
Hardy as well. Apparently, neither Snitsky or Heidenreich noticed a thing,
convinced their special powers had floored both Villanos. A quick power move
by Snitsky later (now THAT might do more to ward people away from attacking
Hardy) and the two bodyguards had their win. Idiots, but oh well... nice suit
Matt.

Hunter Hearst-Helmsley meanwhile voiced his displeasure backstage to Matt at
not picking his choice for bodyguard (and for once, you can't blame Matt for
a decision), and promised to offer up even better options later on to showcase
just how classy he is. And apparently he was off to Hooters to pick up his
escort for the evening.

Number-One-Contenders-Match:
Dynamite Kid pinned Raven with the Swandive Headbutt in 0:15:35.
Rating: ****

The main event of the evening saw the two top contenders to the world title
duke it out for the chance to face Don Muraco in the main event at Fall Brawl.
Raven, the man chasing another crack at the world title for so long as well as
being a constant thorn in Muracos side, and Dynamite Kid who was so impressive
in victory last night at Survivor Series. The match wasn't just an ordinary
match as stipulations were added that this match would be no disqualification,
thus upping the intensity further. While Dynamite and Raven get along better
than they did at the start of the year, they didn't hold back at all, taking
it to each other with all guns blazing. Around the ringside area they spilled
and brawled it out, using anything they could get their hands on. Sadly for
them, it was an appearance from the four men they helped deny last night in
the main event of Survivor Series who turned the tide.

Raven was getting on top of things, fully in control of the match and perhaps
his destiny when his old pal Don Muraco, reigning worlds heavyweight champion,
sauntered out. Evenflow in the middle of the ring to Dynamite, but no chance
for the cover - Muraco was right on top of an exhausted Raven and had no
problem in dominating him quickly, pummeling him down to the mat, Jeff Hardy
meanwhile providing the cheerleading and cheapshots. Muraco must have banked
on an easy nights work, but hadn't banked on Dynamite Kid coming to. Muraco
Tombstoned Raven onto one steel chair, then turned around to receive a massive
chairshot from Dynamite to the head. One shot to Muraco, not only knocking him
down (Dynamite joins an elite club in that regard) but knocking him out,
unconscious, something nobody has EVER done.

Dynamite didn't have time to bask in any glory as Alex Wright and Ulf Herman
would now make their appearance and attack. Two-on-one, an equally exhausted
Dynamite Kid stood as little chance as Raven. Wright hit the Schadenfreude,
Herman hit an almighty powerbomb and Dynamite was done. By now, Muraco was up
with Jeff Hardy shaking the life back into him. Obviously he was groggy, but
at least now seeing sense. Muraco had a quick conference with Wright and said
something which surprised the German. Wright passed this on to Herman who even
raised an eyebrow in surprise, breaking that usual cold demeanour of his. Ulf
then dragged the lifeless body of Dynamite Kid and draped it over Raven. The
referee who had been unable to intervene in all of the preceeding activities
with the no DQ rule in effect questioned this, but of course had to count the
pin. 1-2-3, Dynamite Kid wins the match and will take on Don Muraco at Fall
Brawl.

Intriguing as this is, Don Muraco has faced and beaten every big name the DWF
has had to offer except Dynamite Kid, making this a first time meeting, one
has to wonder exactly why Muraco wanted Dynamite to be crowned the winner of
this one. Furthermore, how will Raven feel about all this? Muraco ended the
show as he walked away, shaken but confident, with Jeff Hardy, Alex Wright and
Ulf Herman all in tow. How does he perceive all of this now?

Card rating: *** 1/2

Match observations:

Larry Zbyszko should be comended for his performance last night, coming through
as sole survivor in his match. We saw him backstage today in the company of
several beautiful women (someone memo Hunter Hearst-Helmsley on where to find
actual classy women, Zbyszko apparently knows). The women were certainly
enjoying Larrys company, feeding him grapes, rubbing his chest and ignoring
Coach (despite his best efforts). As Zbyszko leant back with the words "it's
good to be Larry", "Unecessarily Evil" John Cena sauntered in to get a slice
on the action, immediately telling lies such as how Zbyszko and Coach are more
than just manager and protege, how Zbyszko has small feet and has seen such
proof in the showers (despite Larrys pleas that they've never had to share a
locker room, never mind showers) and finally that he heard from Larrys ex that
he's not just fast in the ring "if you know what I mean". Larry was kicking up
a fuss about how none of it was true - and of course it wasn't, it's just Cena
being his usual evil self - but the ladies ditched Larry anyway for Cena. Now
that is just plain evil and unfair on Larry, but then who really cares? Coach
asked Larry where else he was supposedly fast. Thankfully for us all, Larry
didn't answer.

I was very surprised to see that Hector Guerrero was the Guerrero to dethrone Low-Ki.  Nor surprised to see him squash Essa Rios, however.

Mysterio getting an IC Title shot?  I like it... Mysterio rules, and Low-Ki gets his Crusierweight Title rematch... I'm hoping for two title changes, but we shall see.

Ulf is indeed a beast, and those Young Lions suffer more of Hardy's wrath.

Lance Storm beats Hennig clean in a great match.  The Syndicate is positioning themselves nicely to get another title shot.  I predict they'll be the team to take the belts from Psychoanalysis when Pillman and O'Haire finally implode.

O'Haire and Pillman retain, but their individual issues are going to cost them sooner than later.

Corino retains to no one's surprise... he's been perfect for the TV Title.

SNITSKY AND HEIDENREICH!  The Baby Boomer!  LOL.  That's fucking great. *steals that*

The main event was a bit of a clusterfuck, but a cool spot with Dynamite Kid knocking Muraco's ass out.  Muraco will retain, but I think Dynamite will last a bit longer than 5 minutes.

Iiiiiinteresting predictions, particularly on the fronts of the titles... watch this space.
