Welcome to the ASWA!  Commission Ventura says that tonight
holds something very special for the ASWA fans, but hasn't
given us any clues as to what exactly that something special
is.  I guess we'll just have to wait for his announcement.
What we can tell you though is the card as it stands.  Tonight
we'll see Todd Sexton take on Gronda, who last month really
appeared to kick things up a notch.  He has requested a
singles match tonight as opposed to a tag team match so he
must have some pain in store for Todd Sexton.  We'll also see
a 4-corners match featuring Brian Adams & Roadkill vs. bWo
members Shark Boy and the Blue Meanie vs. Palumbo & Stamboli
and the Caribbean Cartel who are hoping for better luck than
they had last month in their impromptu debut match.  We'll see
Sting and Buck Quartermain defend their titles against Seth
Skyfire & Tony Mamaluke in a special 6-man tag match where
Sting & Quartermain will be joined by fellow Scorpions member
the Big Show and Skyfire & Mamaluke will be joined by Sting's
opponent from last month Vampiro who wants another shot at
Sting and Mick Foley will team up with Jon Dahmer to take on
Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney in a special hardcore main event!

Bret Hart's music hits and out comes the champions with the
belt on his shoulder.  He seems especially smug.

Bret Hart: At first I was angry after arriving to the arena.
You see once I got here, I had no more than walked into the
building before Jesse Ventura came up to me and told me that
I had to defend my title tonight.  That's not something I
was happy about.  I didn't come here tonight prepared to
defend my title.  But then Ventura said that he was busy
with his little surprise that I could choose my own opponent.
So I decided to give someone the opportunity of a life time.
That's why tonight you're gonna see Bret Hart put his Heavyweight
title on the line against... *chuckle* "Dancing" Stevie Richards.
*The crowd boos since he picked an 'easy' opponent*  I just hope
he puts up more of a fight than he did last month.  Tonight
is going to be like having a night off.

Hart smiles and leaves the ring as everyone boos him.

The Cartel couldn't beat the Demonauts in their impromptu
debut last month, but they did manage to take out two
resident teams and the make shift team of Roadkill and
Brian Adams.  Maybe after last month's display they under
estimated the talent of the Cartel in this match.

Jesse Ventura comes out in his suit, but stops on the entrance
ramp to address the crowd.

Jesse Ventura: I promised that the ASWA would have a special
surprise tonight and by god the ASWA is gonna have a special
surprise tonight. *pop*  This surprise involves seven ASWA
superstars INCLUDING the ASWA Heavyweight champion Bret Hart!
*pop*  Tonight someone will become the number one contender
for the ASWA Heavyweight title in a trial by fire!  We'll
start out with two wrestlers in the ring, after one wrestler
wins, another wrestler will come down.  The winner of that
match will face another wrestler, and so on for a total of
four matches.  Then after a small break the final match in
the trial by fire gauntlet will crown the number one contender
for the ASWA Heavyweight title currently around the waist of
Bret Hart. *pop*  So let's get on with it.  Bring down the
first two wrestlers!

Vader couldn't get the pinfall last month in the triangle
match for the Great American title with Grenier and then
champion Jeff Farmer, but this just goes to show that it
was because of the interference of Ron Killings and not
due to Vader's inability.

Vader has again proved that last month cannot be blamed
on him losing a step, because it seems that he hasn't.  He
has now defeated both men that he technically lost to in
the Great American title triangle match last month and
one right after another to boot.  Vader has probably
almost forgotten about Killings costing him the GA title
for now since he seems to be on the right track toward the
#1 contendership for the Heavyweight title.

Rating: * 1/4

Warlord took Vader to the limit, he was just a monster
and treated Vader to a variety of power that most wrestlers
aren't big enough to try on Vader.  It took literally
everything that Vader had, every one of his signature moves,
finally finished off with the 3rd choke slam of the match
by Vader before he got the three, though just barely.  Vader
is now the #1 contender for the ASWA Heavyweight title that
is currently held by Bret Hart.  Sting can't be too happy
about this as he still has unfinished business with Hart
even though he and Quartermain have the tag team titles
around their waists.  Sting's business with Hart however
will most likely stand with or without the ASWA Heavyweight
title on the line.

Rating: *** 1/2

That was definitely the bloodiest brawl that the ASWA has
ever seen and is likely to see for a while, but that's
what you get when you put four of the hardest of hardcore
wrestlers in the ring together.  Foley really showed that
he can still keep up in the hardcore game, though he wasn't
nearly the same as his Cactus Jack days, though a
comparitively toned down version of Foley still pleased the
crowd.

ASWA feedback from your wrestling buddy, Nubbykins!

Bret Hart is so sneaky.

Gronda is a beast, and may be the funniest looking human in history.

Any match that ends with Carlito a winner is all right by me.

Trial By Fire Gauntlet = cool

Vader beats Grenier, and I applaud loudly.

Vader beats nWo Sting, and I applaud loudly.

Vader beats Hector Garza, and I applaud loudly.

Vader beats Mick Foley, and I weep a little, but still applaud.

The Scorpions and Bret Hart all retain, as I figured they would.

Vader beats Warlord, and I applaud loudly.

Boy, Vader was certainly a beast tonight.  Bret Hart is in trouble, methinks.

And boo to a hardcore main event.  This isn't an ECW PPV! ;)

Feedback will become more detailed when I better familiarize myself with your product, but so far, everything looks good.
