HARD KNOX WRESTLING
DATE: JULY 29, 2006
LOCATION: FRONTIER FIELDHOUSE - CHICAGO RIDGE, IL

This event was scheduled to go down a week earlier on July 22nd but due to a scheduling issue, it had to be postponed and held on July 29th.

On that night, we were in Chicago Ridge, IL at the Frontier Fieldhouse with a stacked card that will surely surprise many fans.

The night started off with Mr. Hoffman, who is a member of the HKW offices in the middle of the ring.

Mr. Hoffman: I am out here tonight to talk about an incident that occurred last sunday at the LIW event in New Haven, CT. Please roll the footage.

As Batista celebrates, Orton rolls out of the ring, grabs the HKW HEAD OF THE CLASS Title Belt, scores with one more low blow, and nearly takes Batista's head off with the title belt!
Mr Hoffman: As you can see, Randy Orton SOMEHOW got possession of the HKW Head of the Class title and chose to use it as a weapon on another promotion's show.

This sort of behavior is not appreciated by the HKW championship committee and will not go unpunished. I would like Randy Orton to come out at this time to face the music.

[Randy Orton came out from the backstage area with microphone in hand and stood at the top of the entranceway]

Randy Orton: Alright then, ya got me out here. Now get to the point and let me know what my `sentence' will be.

Mr Hoffman: Randy Orton - on behalf of HKW and it's championship committee, you are hereby TERMINATED after tonight.

Randy Orton: FINE - I don't need to work this stupid indy circuit anyways. And besides, LIW pays TWICE as much as you ever did.

[Randy starts to head towards the back when Mr Hoffman has one more comment for him]

Mr Hoffman: And don't bother showing up to the ring tonight for the 4 way dance because you are no longer booked for it.

[Randy is furious and climbs over the guardrail and storms out of the building through the nearest set of doors]

Mr Hoffman: Now that the formalities are over, let's enjoy the show.

[Mr Hoffman exited the ring and headed towards the back]

With Mr Hoffman out of the ring, we were able to have our opening contest.

The HKW Heavy Hitters champions, Van Wild & Scott Starring came down first and then the team of Jimmy Jacobs & BJ Whitmer.

Then Generation Next answered the invitation and came down to the ring as well.

We were all set to have a 3 way tag team match when over the PA system we heard dogs barking and then someone screamed "IT IS NOT A FUCKING GAME" followed by a gunshot and the crowd exploded as out came LOW KI, HOMICIDE and with them was DAN MAFF & MONSTA MACK.

OMG - The Rotts are in HKW!!!

We saw Jimmy Jacobs score the first fall over Jack Evans of Gen Next - a bit of revenge for Gen Next's antics at our last event 3 weeks back.

3 minutes later, Van Wild got the fall on Jacobs and we were down to the tag champs and the vicious Hit Squad with The Rottweilers on the outside.

11 minutes later, Maff put Van Wild down with the Burning Hammer and Da Hit Squad was the victors - surely a tag title shot is in line as a result of this victory.

Once everyone cleared the ring, we were graced with the presence of Prince Nana.

Prince Nana, from Ring of Honor came down to the ring and began to berate the crowd. He then cut to the chase and announced that he was in Hard Knox Wrestling and he has brought with him THE supreme tag team in the business today.

He said he would not unveil them at this moment but rather later in the evening when they face a worthy tag team, if such a thing exists in HKW.

Nana exited the ring and headed towards the back

For several weeks CM Punk has had to contend with Austin Aries getting involved in his business here in Hard Knox Wrestling.

This match was no different as Aries was able to cost Punk another victory by tossing Palumbo a trash can lid that ended up upside the head of Punk.

After the match, Punk and Aries got into a brawl before it was broken up by HKW officials. Punk was heard screaming at Aries "You and Me...in the ring...ANYTIME, ANYPLACE"

Chris Benoit is quite the killer in HKW as he was able to make the big man, Jack Ripper tap out to his Crippler Crossface in a match that went the distance TWICE
and was allowed more time by the referee.

We were told there was something going on in the back and an HKW official came down to the ring with a note.

It seems that Mohammed Yone & D'Lo Brown were laid out in the back after a super powerbomb through a table and The Triple Threat were seen running away from the scene.

Officials are looking over Yone & Brown and we hope it's not a serious matter.

Next up - What was originally 4 men competing for a shot at the Head of the Class title later in the evening turned into a 3 way dance as Randy Orton was revealed to be one of the participants but was then pulled from the match after his actions at the LIW event on July 23rd.

Xavier & Zach Gowen were the first 2 men down to the ring for the match.

Then we heard "THE CHAMP IS HERE" over the PA system and we knew the 3rd participant was SAMOA JOE.

First man to score a pinfall became #1 Contender.

WOW!!! Juventud Guerrera has just secured the shortest title reign in HKW with a loss to Samoa Joe 3 weeks after reclaiming the title from Randy Orton.

This is surely the start of a new era in Hard Knox Wrestling if Joe's reign here is anything like his reign during the time he spent as Ring of Honor's WORLD champion.

Next up - Prince Nana came down to the ring again and addressed the crowd.

He told them that they should all get on their feet and pay homage to him...and to THE EMBASSY!

Trumpets played over the PA system as down the aisle walked JIMMY RAVE and FAST EDDIE VEGAS, The EMBASSY.

Nana then got on the microphone again to address whatever tag team in the back thought they were WORTHY enough to be in the same ring as his men.

Ha ha, Silly Orton.

Aw, I was rootin' for Shelley.

The battle of the Abyss beaters.  Yay for Benoit.

Yay for Samoa Joe too.  I don't like Gowen, so yay that he lost. :)

*gasp* Intermission!

*gets some pop and a popcorn*

Hey, Joe won!  Whoo-hoo!  Competition seems stiff in Hard Knox, I wonder if Joe can turn this into a repeat of his ROH title reign.
