cerberosPosted on 05/31/05 at 07:04:41

Firestorm comes on the air with footage of Blitzkrieg winning the TV Title and Mankind returning and seemingly challenging Blitzkrieg.  We also see Eric Bischoff making the number one contenders fatal four way.

At the announce table we have Scott Hudson, Mike Tenay and the GWF Heavyweight Champion Owen Hart.

Tenay:  Welcome to another edition of Firestorm.  We are joined this week by the GWF Heavyweight Champion Owen Hart.

Hart:  Thanks Mike.  Tonight was a night I couldn't miss, I find out who I will defend my title against if my first defense.

Hudson:  Not only that guys but we have the first TV Title defense, a revenge triple threat and a battle of two of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history.

Tenay:  Right now though lets go to the ring where Michael Shane is taking on Viscera.

This was a sloppy match and the fans didn't like it.  Most of the match was Viscera throwing the smaller Shane around.  Visc went for the Embalmer Double Choke Slam but Shane countered with a eye rake and a superkick.  Shane then hit his Picture Perfect Elbow for the win thankfully.

Michael Shane pinned Viscera with the Picture Perfect Elbow in 0:05:03.
Rating: -1/4*

Shane was celebrating when Big Van Vader came out.  Visc rolled to the floor while Shane turned right into a clothesline from Vader.  Vader then gave Shane a powerbomb.

Vader:  Who's the man!  Hennig, Kazarian I am not going to wait to hurt you two.  We are having our match right now.

We go to break with the Rocky Mountain Monster waiting for his opponents.

BREAK

We come back from break and we find Kazarian and Vader exchanging rights while Hennig just watches.  Hennig waited and then hit both men with a double clothesline.  Hennig gave Kazarian the Hennig Plex but Vader broke it up with a splash on Hennig.  Vader picked Hennig up and hung him in between the middle and top rope.  Mickey Jay tried to free him while Vader rolled to the floor and grabbed a chair.  He nailed Kazarian in the head busting him wide open.  Vader tried for the pin but by the time Mickey Jay turned around Kazarian kicked out.  Vader grabbed Hennig who nailed him with a low blow.  Hennig went for the Hennig Plex on Kazarian who countered with a brain buster.  Vader got up and tossed Kazarian to the floor and gave Hennig an over the shoulder powerslam.  He followed that up with the Vader Bomb for the pinfall.  Kazarian ran in with flying crossbody but Vader caught him with a laugh.  Vader then hit a running powerslam.  Vader went for the Vader Bomb but Kazarian moved.  Kazarian then started to "Hulk Up".  Vader got up and attacked Kazarian but it had no effect.  Kazarian hit a series of rights and hit a big boot but Vader didn't go down, instead he rebounded with a vicious lariat.  Vader hit the Vader Bomb but pulled Kazarian up at two.  Vader went to the top and went for his moonsault but Kazarian moved.  Kazarian then hit an "Atomic" legdrop for the huge upset win.

3-Man Battle Royal:
Big Van Vader won a 3-man Battle Royal:
x Vader defeated Curt Hennig after the Vader Bomb in 0:05:51
x Kazarian defeated Vader after a legdrop in 0:09:17
Rating: ****

BREAK

We come back and we see Vader destroying the catering area screaming for Kazarian!  Back in the ring we see Blitzkrieg coming out with his new TV Title around his waist.

Blitz:  All hail the newest and GREATEST GWF Champion today!  Now I have been told that tonight I have to fight some over the hill wrestler named Seonne---oh wait that is the Barbarian.  Well you come down to this ring and bring that washed up manager with you.  Because when I am down you will both be kissing my feet.

Well the "washed up old man" had a little more then Blitzkrieg thought.  Bobby Heenan didn't interfere but was very helpful to the Barbarian.  At one point the Barbarian had what should have been a sure win with his flying headbutt but somehow Blitzkrieg managed to kick out.  There was shock in the Barbarian's eyes as he looked to Heenan.  Heenan told him to go back up which he did but that was the mistake that Blitz was looking for.  Blitz dropkicked the Barbarian's knee and crotched him.  Blitz then hit a top rope frankensteiner followed by the Stardust Press for the win.

Blitzkrieg pinned The Barbarian with the Stardust Press in 0:06:35.

(Blitzkrieg retained the GWF TV Title.)

After the match Blitz celebrated in the ring when suddenly the lights went out.  We then see a lone spotlight hit Mankind sitting in the bleachers.  He just points at Blitz who grabs his belt and runs to the back.

BREAK

We come back and we see footage of Devon Storm saving Eric Bischoff only to be fired later on.  We then go to the back where Scott Hudson is with Eric Bischoff.

Hudson:  Mr. Bischoff, I was wondering if you could explain why you fired Devon Storm, a man who saved your butt moments earlier.

Bischoff:  Scott, let me ask you something, if you were working for a law firm as a clerk and you showed up and defended someone wouldn't you be fired?

Hudson:  Well yes, but that is a little different.

Bischoff:  No it isn't Scott.  I hired Devon to interview wrestlers and to do play by play when needed.  Instead he found himself in the ring several times in physical altercations with contracted athletes.  I can't and won't allow this.  The same goes for you or anyone.  If you don't do your job or are doing a different job I will fire you too.

We go to the ring where the Dudley Boys are facing off with Demolition.  They are nose to nose and exchange words but then shake hands.  This match was a good match while it lasted.  It was short due to the Triangle of Terror coming to the ring.  Smash ran into he ropes but Sabu hooked the ropes and Smash sailed to the floor.  Ax ran over and attacked him but was hit in the back with a chair from Hassan.  Bubba and D-Von ran over and tried to help but Hassan was ready and took D-Von's head off with the chair.  Bubba and Ax just couldn't fight off three men and they too were beat down.

The Dudley Boys (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) and Demolition (Ax and Smash) battled to a draw in 0:04:56.
Rating: ** 1/4
[Sabu interfered against Smash.]

Hassan:  Enough of this.  Owen Hart, watch as I defeated that old fossil, the never was Arn Anderson and whoever else that bigot Eric Bischoff has for me.  Owen look at this ring because you will be looking into the future!

BREAK

We come back and we see that Arn Anderson is in the ring with the Barbarian, Meng, whose arm is still in a sling, and Bobby Heenan.  Suddenly the legendary music of Jake Roberts begins and The Snake comes out.  Hassan is shocked while Arn starts talking about the bag with the Heenan Family.  The final man in this man ran out and hit a springboard crossbody on all men.  He was wearing a hooded jacket.  He took it off and there stood AJ Styles who got a great ovation from crowd.  There was a lot of tags in this match between Roberts, Styles and Anderson.  Hassan did the old "alligator arm" several times and even jumped off the apron a few times to avoid being involved in the match.  Finally Hassan was tagged in and Jake worked him over.  Jake shoved him into the corner and beat the hell out of him.  The official Billy Silverman tried to pull Jake off but Jake shoved him away.  Again Silverman tried but got shoved.  This happened a third time and Jake got himself disqualified.  Jake took this out on the official by giving him the DDT and putting the snake on him.  Out came official Nick Patrick as we went to our final break.

BREAK

We come back and it is AJ Styles working with Muhammad Hassan to work over Anderson.  Sabu suddenly jumps up on the apron while Daivari comes into the ring.  Hassan hooks Anderson and Daivari attempts to hit him with a chair but Styles tackles Arn out of Hassans arms and the chair nails Hassan knocking him out cold.  Styles puts Arn on Hassan and there is the next elimination.  It was down to Anderson and Styles.  They went at it while Patrick rolls Hassan to the floor where the Heenan Family and the Triangle of Terror breaks into a brawl.  In the ring Styles goes for his springboard Asai reverse DDT but Arn side steps it and nails a lariat that folds Styles in half.  Arn then hooks both legs for a shot at Owen Hart next week.

x M. Hassan beat J. Roberts via disqualification in 0:12:58
x Anderson beat M. Hassan via pinfall in 0:18:21
x Anderson beat Styles via a lariat in 0:21:45

I would totally mark out for a Dudleys-Demolition match for some reason.
