AFTERNOON SHOW

Match 1 - Christopher Daniels vs the Messiah

Both men knew they had to reserve their strength. A loss wouldn't mean much,
as both were already guaranteed a spot in tonight's main event, the huge
four courner falls-count-anywhere Heavyweight Title match. Still, the Messiah
wanted to prove a point, that point being that he should have been in the
singles title match a long time ago, heavily emphasizing that point as he
takes down Daniels with a huge DVD from the top rope. Daniels fought back,
desperate to regain his title, which he lost in his first title defense.
After countering a kick with a dragon screw, Daniels took Messiah down with
a Blue Thunder Bomb to end the match.

Christopher Daniels pinned The Messiah after a Blue Thunder Bomb in 0:06:46.
Rating: *** 1/4

Messiah didn't appreciate being beaten in 6 minutes, so he attacked Daniels
as he was celebrating. He laid punch after punch on Daniels, but was stopped
when Elix Skipper came barging into the ring, defending his ally. Soon,
Homicide entered as well, laying out Skipper with the Cop Killah. As Messiah
and Homicide were pondering on what to do with Daniels, Low Ki comes charging
from the back with a chair, sending both men flying. He then turns to the
Fallen Angel and hits him square in the head with the steel chair. He has
an intense look in his eyes as the crowd boo him heavily.

Match 2 - The Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero) vs The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark)

According to inside rumors, IWA had to cash out an exorbitant amount of
money to get the Hardyz here, just to try and get the straps off of Gen
Next. These two teams have had their shots, but haven't been able to do
the job. The winner here would definetely get a top contender shot next
time it was up for grabs. This was a hard-hitting bout, with no punches
held, no slams too easy on their opponents back. It was all about survival
in the tag-team division.
The Pitbulls tried to keep Jay in the ring, making use of quick tags to
soften him up. Jay survived it, even kicking out of the Avalance Brain Buster
and getting himself out of a tendon hold. He made the hot tag, and then
Mark cleaned house, working together with Jay to set up the Briscoe Bomb
to win this long and good match.

The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) defeated
The Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero) when M. Briscoe pinned
R. Romero after the Briscoe Bomb in 0:19:12.
Rating: *** 1/2

Match 3 - Balls Mahoney vs Pat Kenney in a Hardcore match

You should think that a guy the size of Mahoney didn't need chairs or knuckles
to defeat Kenney, but Balls obviously took no chances. Either way, this was
a hardcore match, so everything was legal. Kenney did throw a few punches
back at the big man, but fell down as a house of card after being put through
the Nutcracker Suite.

Balls Mahoney pinned Pat Kenney with the Nutcracker Suite in 0:10:24.
Rating: *** 1/4

Match 4 - The 2006 Daredevil Trophy Ladder Match

The camera zoomed in on the 2006 Daredevil Trophy that hung over the ring.
Well, it was only a sheet of paper, but whoever retrieved that first would
win the trophy that was outside of the ring, a rather big and shiny cup.
AJ was, of course, the favorite, but he probably didn't want to underestimate
the experienced Park and the two crazy youngsters that were also in the match.

Styles was immediately attacked by the Angry Insect Evildoer, who laid blow
after blow on the IWA poster-boy. They eventually ended up on the outside
of the ring, where Styles nailed him with the Styles Clash. Meanwhile, Clark
tried his armbar submission maneuvers on L.A. Park, quickly realizing that
this man knows every counterhold in the book. This match saw all the crazy
spots you would expect, including Styles pushing Clark down from the ladder
with a flying clothesline, and UltraMantis taking down L.A. PArk with a
rana from nearly the top. The chairman also brought in a chair (well, doh),
choking the breath out of Clark, then busting Styles open with a spot-on
chairshot. Jerelle Clark then clotheslined Park out of the ring, where the
two started brawling. Styles gained the momentum in the ring with a Discus
lariat on UltraMantis, and started to climb the ladder. Almost on the top,
he turned to the crowd and then jumped down on Mantis with a flying legdrop.
He then climbed up and retrieved the sheet giving him the 2006 Daredevil
Trophy.

Four Corners Ladder Match:
AJ Styles defeated L.A. Park, Jerelle Clark and UltraMantis Black in 0:15:03.
Rating: ** 3/4
[AJ Styles won the IWA:NE 2006 Daredevil Trophy]

The crowd demanded a speech of AJ, so he slowly picked up the microphone.

AJ: "I just wanted to say thanks to all my fans who've supported me over the years. You may have heard that I now am a father, and a very proud one as well. That doesn't mean I will quit the sport I love. I still need to put food on my family's table, and this is what I do best, this is what.. " AJ is interrupted by the sound of Samoa Joe's music over the loudspeakers, and the former IWA Heavyweight Champion walks down to the ring.

Samoa: I am so happy for you AJ, I really am.. but you see.. nobody cares if you got a son, or a daughter, or even if your wife gave birth to triplets. All they care about is watching someone get beat up in the ring. Last week, Bison Smith and I fought a brilliant match, a match of the year candidate. I even broke my finger! (shows AJ and the crowd his bandaged fingers). I put my health on the line for this business. You say you do the same? I mean, how bad can it hurt when one skinny little kid lands on top of another. If you step into the squared circle with a monster like myself, you are bound to get hurt. And who's going to put food on you family's table then?"

AJ: "If you wanted to challenge me to a match, you just had to say so. I mean, who cares about your ranting anyway?"

Samoa: "Unfortunately, the biased President DeMei has denied me a match, saying it's against insurance policy. So our battle, the beauty vs the beast, so to speak, will have to wait. That does not mean I'm not able to fight you, though."

Samoa drops his microphone and charges AJ with a big lariat. Samoa stomps away on AJ before putting him in the guillotine choke. The crowd boo heavily as AJ finally slips intop unconsciousness.

Match 5 - Low Ki vs Rockin' Rebel

Low Ki has been very intense lately, and even though no official confirmation
has been made, Triple X is as good as dead. At least in his eyes. Tonight
was about endurance, and Ki knew he had to take out Rockin' Rebel as quickly
as possible. That was easier said than done, as ROckin Rebel had nothing
to lose, and everyting to gain. Rebel is a big and powerful wrestler, and
soaked up Ki's kick better than anyone in a long time. Still, Ki is the
champion, and as time went by, Rebel was on the receiving end of most of
the punishment. That was until the Fallen Angel entered the picture.
Sneaking through the crowd, he made his way ringside, retrieving the ring
bell and smacking it on Ki's head when the ref was distracted. Rockin' Rebel
took advantage of the situation, taking Ki down with the Rebelizer to win
this non-title match. He didn't celebrate much though, as he knew that this
win meant zilch if he couldn't repeate it later tonight.

Rockin' Rebel pinned Low Ki with the Rebelizer in 0:10:54.
Rating: ** 1/4

EVENING SHOW

The evening show started with an announcement about the BCP taking out Jose Maximo during the 1-hour intermission, leading to B-Boy taking his place in the forthcoming tag-team match. We then go to a locker room, where Christopher Daniels is standing by.

"The war has begun, the first blows has been struck. There is no reconciliation between the ONE and his now mortal enemy, Low Ki. When HIS adversary overstepped his boundaries, HE was furious. Now, HE has realized that this is just another obstacle in HIS path to perfection, and to redemption. Nothing will stand in HIS way tonight. HE will reclaim what is rightfully HIS. HE will defeat three other, worthy opponents on HIS return to glory."

Suddenly, Elix Skipper comes into the locker room.

Elix: "Hey man, who're you talking to?"

Daniels points out the camera standing on the sink.
Daniels: "What, do you think I'm crazy. I'm taping this for the DVD."

Elix: "Anyway, I went to DeMei and got myself a 2/3 falls match with Homicide tonight. I'm thinking of extracting some revenge for myself. I just want to know if you'll be there in case something happens."

Christopher: "You fear the Messiah will stick his nose into his partner's business?"

Elix: "No, I fear Low Ki might get involved somehow. He is not returning my calls, and the stunt he pulled earlier tonight.. man.. I just think he might be upset cause he thinks I'm on your side."

Christopher: "And are you?"

Elix: "I'm on nobodys side, and on both sides, if you know what I mean. What I do know is, Triple X is.. or was.. a trio. It is not all about you or Ki, you know."

Christopher: "Relax my friend. Defeat Homicide tonight, and you will get your chance."

Match 6 - Joel Maximo and B-Boy vs Border City Patrol (Kevin Steen & Teddy Hart)

Joel was keen on exacting some revenge for his brother, not bothering to
discuss with B-Boy who should start, attacking Hart and Steen on his own.
The lack of cooperation could easily become this teams downfall, but Joel
was more interested in laying a beating than winning the match.
The real culprit was of course the new thug, Lex Lovett, and Joel went
after him as quickly as he came out to aid his friends. Elsa Bangz tried
to stop Joel, but Joel quickly grabbed her and forced a kiss from her (boy
will Mary Kate be jealous!). Back in the ring, Steen is almost victim of
B-Boy's Cross Special Brain Buster, but an alert D'Amore puts his foot on
the rope.

At the outside, Lovett, Bangz and Steen are busy beating up on Joel, when
Jose suddenly comes running in from the back wearing street clothes. He
joins the brawl, evening up the odds. The ref is distracted by this, and
D'Amore passes Hart a set of brass knuckles. Hart fumbles with them, and
B-Boy snatches them away, knocking the lights out of Hart and scoring the
pin! After the match, the SATs and B-Boy celebrate in the ring.

Joel Maximo and B-Boy defeated Border City Patrol (Kevin Steen and Teddy Hart)
when Joel pinned Teddy Hart after hitting him with brass knuckles in 0:12:52.
Rating: *** 3/4
[Lex Lovett interfered against Joel Maximo.]
[Scott D'Amore interfered against B-Boy.]
(Jose Maximo no-showed.)

Match 7 - Mikey Batts vs Petey Williams

Mikey Batts is back from his injury, and Petey was his first stepping stone
in getting to the top. It could seem as if Batts had worked out during his
month off, as he was able to prevent Williams' top rope rana, instead sending
him down with a power bomb. Lex Lovett made his way down to ringside (as
always), but was quickly intercepted by Doug Williams, who wanted to even
things out. The next five minutes was a brilliant display of near falls
and interference, as both D'Amore, Lovett and Williams tried to put their
nose where it didn't belong. Lovett pulled the ref out when Williams was
down after the Batts Beater, and Williams distracted the same ref when
Batts had gone through the horror that is the Canadian Destroyer. In the
end, even the lenient referee Ronald Stomp had enough, and ordered everyone
out of there. Williams nailed Batts with a simple dropkick, but used the ropes
as leverage to make the pin. The top contender is looking sharp for his
title match in three weeks.

Petey Williams pinned Mikey Batts after a dropkick in 0:09:44.
Rating: *** 3/4
[Doug Williams interfered against Petey Williams.]
[Lex Lovett and Scott D'Amore interfered against Mikey Batts.]

Backstage, BCP is celebrating yet another win for Petey Williams. Scott D'Amore is more red than ever, as the champagne is flowing.

D'Amore: "Soon, very soon.. IWA will have its first, Canadian champion. Nothing will stop Petey now!"

They suddenly turn silent, as Low Ki enters the room. Lex Lovett gets in Ki's face, but just as he is about to say something, Ki grabs his hand and turns it around, forcing Lovett down to his knees.

Ki: "You may celebrate tonight, Canadians. But rest assured, after I have defeated my three opponents tonight, I will have three weeks until our meeting. And I will spend them training, meditating, and watching videos of your matches. I know you are a talented man, Petey Williams (Lovett tries to get up at this point, but Ki squeezes even harder), but you have not faced me yet. You have not felt the power of the Ki Krusher. And if you think I will fall to the Canadian Destroyer, you are wrong, as I won't be near enough for you to hit me with it. So, enjoy your party." (He now releases Lovett's hand and walks out)

Lovett: "I think he broke my fingers.. all of them."

Match 8 - Generation Next (Jack Evans & Jason Cross vs The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt) for the IWA:NE Tag Team Titles with managers banned ringside, and where the title WILL change hands on a DQ or a countout

The crowd had loved the night so far, but went crazy when the Hardy Boyz
came out through the crowd, DDP style. Without Francine present, and with
a title change through DQ or countout, the crowd finally saw the belts change
hands. A fan had a sign saying 'Edge is a loser', and Matt took the time
to hold it up and shake the fan's hand.

Jason and Jack looked a little nervous when they came out. Jack tried to
do a rap, but Jason took away the mic and pointed towards the ring, telling
Jack to focus on the match, not his lyrics. This was the match of missed moves,
as Cross, Evans and Jeff all missed moonsaults or splashes from the top,
Jeff even tumbling into the guardrail when he timed his plancha badly. It
seems as if Jeff's feuds with Abyss and Raven has taught him to brawl, as
he was as comfortable with doing that as he was performing his crazy antics.
Cross had taken quite a beating by now, and absolutely needed the tag he got
from Evans. Jack Evans wanted to prove himself a bigger lunatic than Jeff,
executing an insante senton on Matt, where he literally twisted only an inch
or so from hitting Matt's stomach, head first. As the match ticked closer
to the 20 minute mark, Matt went high risk himself. Before being able to
do anything, Jack bounced into the ropes, causing Matt to fall on his crotch.
Jack climbed up and took Matt down with a reverse top rope Frankensteiner,
pulling his tights as the ref made the count! Generation Next is STILL the
IWA Tag Team Champions.

Match with Managers Banned From Ringside where the title can change hands via DQ or countout:
Generation Next (Jack Evans and Jason Cross) defeated
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) when J. Evans pinned M. Hardy after
a reverse top rope Frankensteiner in 0:19:38.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Generation Next retained the IWA Tag Team Titles.)

Match 9 - Elix SKipper vs Homicide in a 2/3 falls match

This should be a classic, as Homicide and Skipper clashed together in a 2/3
falls match.

Skipper got the first fall when Low Ki came from the back, smashing a chair
to Homicide's back. SKipper than took Homicide down with the OVerdrive, not
really realizing what had happened. When he found out, he cursed out Low Ki,
allowing Homicide to get in a few free shots at Skipper, which Prime Time
never recovered from, making it square. Daniels came out from the back to
remove Low Ki, ending in a vicious fight between them, only an hour or so
before their four corner match. Wrestlers from the back (Batts, Clark, Park,
Kenney, the SAT and Briscoes) came out and separated them, unfortunately
drawing some attention away from the match, which Homicide eventually won.

This was probably the last nail in Triple X's coffin..

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Homicide beat Elix Skipper 2 falls to 1:
x Prime Time beat Homicide via the Overdrive in 0:05:16
x Homicide beat Prime Time via the Cop Killa in 0:09:54
x Homicide beat Prime Time via the Cop Killa in 0:16:42
Rating: *** 1/4

Match 10 - Team NOAH (Scorpio, Yone, Misawa, KENTA and Suzuki) vs Team IWA (Walters, D. Williams, McGuinness, Roode and London) in a 10-man I Quit match

It was IWA vs NOAH, as 4 Japanese, 2 Brits, 1 Canadian and 3 Americans crashed
together in this huge match.
Mitsuhara Misawa led his crew out here, saying (through Scorpio's) translation,
that he intended to win this one, for the honor of his great promotion.

He then proposed that it should be an I Quit match, which Doug Williams (the
de-facto leader of the team) accepted without problems.
After two minutes, Roode powerbombed Yone through a table, sending a clear
message to NOAH. A few minutes later, Doug Williams survived Yone's torture
rack for almost a minute before Yone let him go! After 10 minutes, Paul
London made his first tag, dropsaulting Yone. After 16 minutes, KENTA
takes out Roode with the Busaiku Knee Kick, which looked excruciatingly
painful. John Walters entered and performed his Vertebreaker on KENTA, breaking
a chinlock.

After 26 minutes, this huge match was over, when KENTA made Walters tap out
to the figure-four. The 10-men congratulated each other on a good match.
Misawa must be real happy, he didn't even have to compete!

I-Quit Match:
Too Cold Scorpio, Mitsuharu Misawa, Mohammed Yone, KENTA and Kotaro Suzuki
defeated Pure Power (Doug Williams, John Walters and Nigel McGuinness), Bobby R
oode and Paul London when KENTA made J. Walters submit to a figure-four leglock
in 0:26:20.
Rating: ***

Match 11 - Rockin' Rebel vs Christopher Daniels vs Low Ki vs the Messiah in a 4-corner Elimination Match for the IWA:NE Heavyweight Title

The match to top of a brilliant and long evening of great wrestling. Before
the match, we are told that President DeMei has made this match an elimination
match! So a quick and lucky pinfall wouldn't help anyone.. unless they did
it three times.

Low Ki and Daniels had eyes only for each other (how romantic), charging
each other as soon as Low Ki entered the ring as the fourth and last man.
the Messiah soon helped him gang up on Daniels, smashing a road sign over
his head as Daniels was getting the crap kicked out of him on the outside.
Rockin Rebel was happy staying in the ring letting the others do the dirty
work. Messiah held Daniels by the guardrails, allowing Ki to do a Koppo Kick.
the Fallen Angel kicked out, but was seriously outnumbered here.
Even though these are two technical, martially inclined wrestlers, there
was a lot of brawling going on. Low Ki flung Daniels over a row of chairs,
and then smashing his head numerous times on the seat. He even got a few
fans to hold him as he performed yet another koppo kick, then covering him
to get the pin and the first elimination.

Meanwhile, in the ring, Rebel attacked the Messiah with a chair, almost eliminating
him following a bulldog. the Messiah never leaves home without a pair of
brass knuckles though, busting Rebel open and Godsmacking him to the canvas
to make the second elimination. It would now be the Messiah vs Low Ki.

the Messiah charged Ki with the knuckles, but Ki low-blowed him, and busting
him open with his own knuckles. One Ki Krusher later, and Low Ki had survived
the night with the championship belt intact.

Four Corners Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Low Ki defeated The Messiah, Rockin' Rebel and Christopher Daniels:
x Ki beat C. Daniels via a koppo kick in 0:10:36
x Messiah beat Rebel via the Godsmack in 0:15:25
x Ki beat Messiah via the Ki Krusher in 0:18:41
Rating: *** 3/4
(Low Ki retained the IWA Heavyweight Title.)

IWA:NE Newsreport - 04.09.06

We are one week removed from April's Fools Parade, which was the longest and biggest card so far in IWA 1+ years of history. The show had a number of golden matches, such as the brilliant  four way eliminaination match where Low Ki defended his title, the second title shot for the Hardy Boyz, and of course, the 10-Man I Quite Interpromotional match between Team Noah and Team IWA.

In only 2 weeks, IWA:NE will return to New Jersey, this time West Paterson for Round Robin II. Last year's winner Eddie Guerrero is not around anymore, but so is AJ Styles, who was prevented from completing the tournament last year due to Randy Orton. This time it will be AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe vs the Messiah! Don't miss it.

Homicide and Elix SKipper impressed President DeMei with their 2/3 falls match last week, so much in fact, that he has given them another match. This time only for one fall, but it is for the top contendership!

Petey Williams faces his biggest challenge of his career so far when he is taking on Low Ki for the IWA:NE title. Can the Border City Patrol sway the odds in favor of Williams? Or will the intense Low Ki prevail again?

Also scheduled: Border City Patrol, Hardy Boyz, Allison Danger, LuFisto, the Havana Pitbulls, Mikey Batts, the Briscoe Brothers and many more!

As has been speculated in the Internet messageboards as of late, Jose Maximo is currently out of favor with the the IWA management. We have asked Jose to make his side of the story.

Last week, on April's Fools Parade, I got lost on my way to the arena. I didn't realize that I was that late before I arrived, and Jerelle Clark told me that they had B-Boy replace me because I was beaten up backstage. When the BCP was beating up my brother on the outside, I thought it was a good idea to run out and help him. Unfortunately, management did not know of my plan, and that is why I won't be wrestling in IWA for a couple of shows. I just wanted to say that I am sorry for my unprofessional behavior, it won't happen again.

DeMei is understandably frustrated about this, as Jose coming out in street clothes without any signs of injuries after the beatdown baffled the fans. The only thing keeping Jose in IWA is his brother, which will be teaming up with B-Boy for a couple of weeks now.
