It wasn't long ago that Chris Leben left Cincinnati Pro to persue his dream of being an Ultimate Fighter. While in Cincinnati Pro, Ken Shamrock gave him hell eventually leading to a one-on-one match which Ken Shamrock won. Unable to live this down, Leben wanted revenge against Shamrock. However, due to weight class, the two will never meet in the octagon. As a result, Leben asked to return for one more night to get his revenge against Shamrock. At first Shamrock declined saying "I've already beaten him, why should I have to do it again?" But Alexander Otsuka must have gotten in his ear and convinced him to come back for a tag team match. This was the only way Shamrock would do it, so Leben agreed, choosing Chris Hero as his tag team partner. This was a hell of a way to kick off the show tonight! Both teams worked exceptionally well together for never teaming up in the past. It was a give-and-take fight the whole way through. In the end, after working on Hero's arm throughout the entire match, Otsuka was able to submit Hero with a Fujiwara armbar to get the win. After the match, Shamrock & Otsuka celebrated together along with Becky Bayless. Could there be some sort of an alliance between Shamrock & The Elite? We're not sure... all we know is that Shamrock is only scheduled for one night in Cincinnati Pro and he is not planning on returning. Chris Leben looked very upset as he walked to the back while Hero followed him clutching his arm.

The action wasn't over. El Dandy came down to ringside spouting off incomprehensible Spanish in all directions. Apparently, he wanted the Top Contendor's Match to be held now. Alexander Otsuka isn't one to back down from a fight and after several attempts by Becky Bayless to get Otsuka to wait until later in the night to have the match, the Top Contendor's Match was about to get under way. Ken Shamrock left ringside and headed for the back...

[Becky Bayless interfered against El Dandy.]

This was a very exciting, action-packed match. Otsuka had to get this win for The Elite in order to secure that no matter what, the Tri-State Heavyweight Championship would stay with The Elite. If El Dandy won, he would remain the Top Contendor and could possibly take that title away from Matt Stryker in a future match. Otsuka was at a disadvantage in this one because he had just wrestled for over 20 minutes and El Dandy was fresh. The match would not have gone as long as it did if Becky Bayless had not been at ringside. She saved Otsuka from getting pinned in the Dandina Cradle not once, but TWICE! Otsuka came close to winning on a few occassions, but couldn't put Dandy away. Frustrated, he threw the referee out of the ring! A stand-by referee came to the ring and the match continued until the original referee came to and DQ'd Otsuka! El Dandy remains the Top Contendor to the Tri-State Heavyweight Championship!

Rating: *** 1/4

Last month these three men were involved in a Four Corners Elimination Match along with Marty Jannetty. Unfortunatly, the time limit expired and Jannetty was the only person who had been eliminated from the match. This match was signed to determine a true winner. When the match reached the 20 minute mark, it was feared that no one was going to pin anyone in the next 10 minutes and that the time limit would indeed expire on them again. However, Jacobs was able to nail his Contra Code on Bull Pain after waring him down for a couple of minutes and Pain was eliminted. Not more than two minutes later, John Kronus suffered the same fate. The Contra Code sealed the deal for Jimmy Jacobs tonight and he walks away with a big win.

(The Insane Clown Posse come out to a round of boos except for the usual group of juggalos with their faces painted and their "hatchetman" signs. The Patriot comes out next to a good ovation with his partner right by his side. Unfamiliar to a lot of people in the arena is AKITOSHI SAITO of the NOAH promotion in Japan. He's built like a bull and his presence is quite menacing. The ICP know who he is and they're flipping out in the ring. This is going to be one of the toughest matches the ICP have ever had.)

Rating: *** 1/2

This match never went in the favor of the ICP. The Patriot & Saito dominated these two clowns worse than anything we have witnessed before. The match should have never went past 5 minutes, but the ICP, regardless of how much people dislike them, are a couple of tough customers and they didn't want to give up too easily. The juggalos in the crowd looked ready to rush the ring during the match, but they were smart enough to realize that they would be way outnumbered if anything broke out. In the end, Violent J was hoping for a breather on the outside of the ring, but The Patriot went after him and threw him back in the ring. After a brutal spinebuster slam for a near fall The Patroit hit the Uncle Slam for the win.

Dean Malenko came to the ring looking to make up for his disappointing match last month. However, Awesome struck early and struck hard. After diving out of the ring onto Malenko he proceeded to legdrop Malenko through our announcer's table!! The crowd was on their feet from the beginning! Malenko started firing back with much more emotion than we've ever seen in the past. He had a look in his eyes that could strike fear into the hearts of many wrestlers in this business! Malenko grapevined the legs, then converted into a chinlock deathlock submission putting Awesome unconscious immediatly! Malenko was sending a message to Tazz with that hold and we know Tazz was watching from the back!

Rating: * 1/2

This was a wild one and it was hard to follow all of the action. Vicious & Delicious came into this thing looking to get some frustration off their chests after losing the Tag Team Championship last month. Mark Henry looked as dominant as ever in this match as he was able to manhandle every competitor on the opposing side with the exception of Volk Han who gave Henry a little bit of trouble with his submission tactics. In the end, Nowinski looked to be on his way to securing the win for his team, but his cockiness got the better of him as The Harvard Graduate allowed Thrasher a little too much time to gather himself and Thrasher nailed a surprise spinebuster slam for the win!

(A cut to the locker room now where The Elite are prepping for their upcoming matches.)

Becky Bayless: Stryker, are you ready?

Matt Stryker: You know it...

Becky Bayless: Your match is up next. The stupid Cincinnati Pro booking still hasn't told us who you're opponent is, so you have to be expecting anyone! Luckily, the title isn't on the line...

Matt Stryker: What do you mean "luckily the title isn't on the line?" It wouldn't matter because they can put ANYONE in front of me and I will bring them down!

A-Train: Yeah!! YEAH!!! We RULE!!

Matt Stryker: I'm the Cincinnati Pro Tri-State Heavyweight Champion!! Only one other man can call himself that and I've already duplicated what he was able to do with this Championship!!

A-Train: YEAH!!! WE'LL BEAT ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!

Matt Stryker: Calm down, big man.

A-Train: Sorry...

Josh Abercrombie: I know you guys will do well, tonight.

Matt Stryker: Hey... where are you going? Are you leaving?

Josh Abercrombie: Well, seeing as how I'm not booked on the show tonight, I figured I would get a head start on the partying! I'll see you guys at the club after the show...

(Just as Josh walks out the door with his back turned, he bumps into none other than VADER! Josh slowly turns around to face the monster. Vader makes Abercrombie look like a midget...)

Vader: Not booked tonight, huh?

Josh Abercrombie: *GULP*

A-Train: YEAH!!

Josh Abercrombie: Shutup, Train...

Vader: Headed to the club early are ya?

A-Train: YEAH!!

Josh Abercrombie: Shutup, Train! I can answer for myself!!

Vader: I've got an idea... you and me... one-on-one... tonight... what do you say to that, Abercrombie?

A-Train: YEAH!!!!!!!

Vader: Good... see you in the ring...

Josh Abercrombie: Wait... NO!! NO!! Ahhh.. damnit!! Why didn't you shutup like I said, Train!

A-Train: I DON'T KNOW!!

Josh Abercrombie: STOP YELLING!!!

A-Train: .....

Josh Abercrombie: Just great... Train... you got me into this mess... you're gonna help me get out of it...

(Back to the ring and Matt Stryker's music comes on as he walks through the curtain. The CP Tri-State Heavyweight Championship is around his waist and Becky Bayless is leading the way to the ring. As he steps in the ring, an unfamiliar theme blares over the speakers. Coming down the aisle... is JOHNNY SMITH! Johnny Smith of All Japan Pro Wrestling fame is in the building tonight and he will be the one taking on Matt Stryker! Wow!)

Rating: ***

From the opening bell we knew this was going to be a hard fought, fast paced match. After the feeling out process in the beginning of the match concluded, Stryker took the advantage by putting a beating on Smith outside of the ring. Smith would come back though and get some revenge as the match spilled to the floor again. This time, it was Smith putting the beating on Stryker on the outside. Bayless was tempted to get involved, but Smith was too quick for her and caught her sneaking up behind him before she could make a move. The crowd was behind Smith, but by the end of the bout, Smith was exhausted. One thing Stryker has over a lot of guys is his stamina and when he saw Smith breathing a bit heavy, that's when Stryker struck hard! Smith fought the pinfalls for as long has he could, but the Stryker Driver was the nail in the coffin and Stryker leaves victorious. Though not the winner, Johnny Smith still recieved a round of applause from the fans.

Rating: **** 1/4

Rick Martel has been forced into singles competition after the retirement of his partner, Tito Santana, last month. His first challenge was against none other than Tazz who has been on a mean streak since entering Cincinnati Pro. Tazz tried bullying Martel at first, but Martel has been down that road so many times in the past... Martel is a great in this sport and when people once thought he was down, he fought right back up. We've seen him make a return to pro wrestling in WCW in the late 90's and be successful... what makes Tazz think he can't do it again? Martel showed him and everyone else that he can hang with anyone in singles competition. Tazz was on the verge of submitting to the Quebec Crab... he lasted nearly a minute in the hold before breaking out of it. The time limit was close to expiring and as both looked for an opening, Tazz was able to catch Martel off guard with a T-Bone suplex and follow it up with the Tazzmission!! Martel fought it, but he had to give it up.

(The match is over, but Tazz won't let go of the submission! Martel tapped out and now he's on the verge of passing out!! The referee can't pull Tazz off of Martel. DEAN MALENKO comes charging out of the locker room with many wrestlers behind him. Tazz sees it, let's go of Martel, and slides out of the ring as Malenko slides in. Malenko wants to get his hands on Tazz, but he is being held back. Tazz walks back towards the locker room with his hands raised high and the fans booing him. Martel is helped to the back...)

[Handicapped-Match]
Devon Storm and Pablo Marquez defeated A-Train when D. Storm pinned A-Train after a legdrop in 0:10:03.
Rating: ** 3/4

Handicapped matches almost always seem like a bad move and nearly always favors the team with more wrestlers. However, The Elite figured A-Train could handle himself... especially against a couple of guys who have not seen much success in Cincinnati Pro. The Elite were so confident that none of them attempted to interfere nor did Becky Bayless even accompany A-Train to the ring. In the match, A-Train handled Pablo with ease, tossing him from corner to corner and just taking his time. He should have just put Pablo away when he could because everytime Devon Storm was in the ring, he gave A-Train some trouble. In the closing moments, A-Train was once again dominating Pablo and taking his time when Pablo was able to reach over and make a tag. Storm came in and using various leg activity was able to defeat A-Train! Storm celebrated the win for only a couple of seconds before A-Train was back on his feet and putting a beating on Storm. The referee was pushed down trying to stop A-Train and Pablo felt the wratch of the Derailer while trying to keep A-Train back.

The winners are Damian 666 and El Dandy. Time of match: 0:09:51

Damian 666 and El Dandy defeated Hardcore Holly and Marty Jannetty when Damian 666 pinned H. Holly after a cross-body block in 0:09:51.
Rating: ***

When El Dandy made his way to the ring, he was met with a great ovation which is odd because just a few months ago, the fans couldn't stand him! Damian 666 was also getting cheered... which tells us the fans respect his work from Mexico or he's cheered by assocation. Hardcore Holly & Marty Jannetty were cheered, but not like Dandy & Damian. When the match began, Damian was really getting under Holly's skin by being 'hardcore' and beating Jannetty with a chair and a road sign. Dandy & Jannetty's fued has been well documented in Cincinnati Pro and these two went at it full force in this one. In the end, Damian and Holly were beating on each other outside of the ring. Holly decides to bring a table in the ring, only to be laid out on it for Damian. Damian went for the senton through it, but Holly escaped. Just when things were going in Holly's favor, Damian counters a back suplex into a lateral press for the win! The fans erupted! El Dandy and Damian left the ring celebrating. Marty Jannetty was disappointed as he should be... he hasn't been able to get a win over El Dandy at all!! Hardcore Holly had his hands on his hips, just looking out in the crowd in what seemingly looked like disbelief. He had an aggrivated look on his face.

[A-Train interfered against Vader.]

The size difference in this match was unbelievable! Vader towered over Abercrombie and outweighed him by more than 200 lbs! But what Abercrombie lacked in size, he made up with A-Train. A-Train made his presence known from the very beginning by cracking Vader in the back with a chair in the opening moments of the match. While it didn't hurt Vader, it still distracted him. But despite the best efforts by Abercrombie, he just could not keep the big man down or even get a near fall on him. Abercrombie was using his speed, but he was barely hurting Vader. In the end, A-Train threw a garbage can to Abercrombie who used it full force against Vader's head to score the win. Abercrombie quickly dashed out of the ring and retreated to the back with A-Train & Becky Bayless before Vader was able to get to his feet. Vader looked PISSED!

This match was signed to show our appreciation to the fans. This was a gift to them. Two of the best that Japan has to offer set to square off one-on-one tonight. Hayabusa & Shinzaki held NOTHING back. This match strongly resembled the old FMW style as these two were hitting each other with high impact moves from the beginning and also doing quite a bit of brawling. Hayabusa was busted open in a skirmish on the floor that eventually led to him missing a moonsault and crashing through a table! In the closing moments, Shinzaki went for a flying headbutt off the ring apron to the floor, but missed and cracked his head on the concrete. Hayabusa made his way to the top rope while an nearly unconscious Shinzaki rolled back into the ring unaware that he was setting himself up for the Firebird Splash and BOOM! Hayabusa hit it and this one was over! The fans left tonight happy with the event and we hope they all return for our next big show scheduled for Friday night, March 10!

Match of the Night: Tazz vs. Rick Martel

Cincinnati Pro Hotline
Updated March 3, 2006

Our next show is scheduled for next Friday, March 10, at the Western Hills Sports Mall in Cincinnati, Ohio and it's already stacking up to be a HUGE event!

It has finally been signed... Tazz and Dean Malenko will finally meet in a sanctioned match, one-on-one! This one has been brewing for months and both men have been wanting to get at each other so bad that it is has become an impossibility to hold them back. The roof will come down when these two collide!

The top contendor, El Dandy, has proven that he is deserving of the title shot and he gets it next Friday. Matt Stryker has held the CP Tri-State Heavyweight Championship for nearly 4 months, representing The Elite very well, but with the momentum El Dandy has got, this will be Stryker's toughest challenge to date.

Chris Leben announced awhile back that he is leaving the wrestling ring to return to the octagon, but Chris Hero has talked Leben into coming back for at least another show. How? With a chance to become the Tag Team Champions. It will be a Four Corners Tag Team Match to determine the Top Contendor's for the Tag Team Championship. The teams given this opportunity: Chris Leben & Chris Hero, the Insane Clown Posse, the Headbangers, and Vicious & Delicious. You can bet The Elite will be watching this one closely.

Speaking of The Elite, last month they had problems with the man they call Vader! Next week, it will be six-man tag team action! The Elite, comprised of Alexander Otsuka, Josh Abercrombie, & A-Train along with Becky Bayless will take on Vader, Mike Awesome, and the partner they hand picked, Rick Martel!

Also, there will be a four-man single elimination tournament held. Two of the names in the tournament, The Patriot and Hayabusa, will face two wrestlers who remain a mystery. The winners will then face each other to determine the next Top Contendor for the CP Tri-State Heavyweight Championship.

Hardcore Holly & Al Snow have been mouthing off to the committee. They think they have become an afterthought in Cincinnati Pro and they want a main event match. So they've got one. Originally, Mark Henry & Christopher Nowinski were the first choice as opponents, but after speaking with Mark Henry, he said he would much rather have a different partner for this main event match. No word on who it is, but we'll find out. Mark Henry & his mystery partner against Hardcore Holly & Al Snow!

These matches and many more next Friday!
