IWA:NE - The Stilletto Heel from Hell - 03.12.06
rey619 | Posted on 04/22/05 at 09:21:51 Hello everyone, you are watching the DVD of IWA:NE's March 12th show, here from Kommaus, Pennsylvania. Before we go to the red hot action from the ring, Triple X leader Low Ki would like to say a few words. Low Ki is standing close to the camera, breathing heavily and somewhat angrily. "Tonight, the true nature of Christopher Daniels has been revealed. Not only will he not be present, he chooses instead to defend a minor title in a rotten, upstart promotion down south. To top it all, because of this, I won't get my chance to win the gold tonight. Instead, I have to win another top contenders match, involving four guys. Now I am starting to realize what Homicide meant by claiming this was a corrupt promotion. It really doesn't matter, because I will defeat you Mark Briscoe. I will defeat you Messiah. And whoever is the fourth opponent, I will beat you as well. And in two weeks from now, I will be harvesting my Heavyweight Title. Low Ki out!" Match 1 - Pat Kenney vs L.A. Park Pat Kenney hasn't had the best of luck in IWA:NE, and few thought he could win a match with the Chairman. LA Park is a brilliant luchadore, giving Kenney a hard time catching his breath. As befits his nickname, Park also swung the chair a couple of times at Kenney, smacking the Empire Saint in his Irish skull. Kenny slowly and methodically got back into the match, focusing his attack on LA Park's head. The Mexican was dropped head first with a flapjack, then a facebuster. Kenney then started a wild brawling routine, never letting Park get back into the match. Park managed a small comeback, even treating the crowd to the strut, before Kenney executed the Inverted DDT for his first victory in IWA. Pat Kenney pinned L.A. Park with the Inverted DDT in 0:10:45. Rating: *** 3/4 Match 2 - Jerelle Clark vs UltraMantis Black UltraMantis Black is one of the hottest high-flyers in the lower indies, taking his step up to IWA was a natural progression for this Angry Insect Evildoer. You wouldn't believe these two were high-fliers, as the opening minutes saw punches and clotheslines. Clark turned on the crowd with a spectacular springboard DDT to set the high-flying in motion. Lots of nice technical wrestling in this one as well, as both wrestlers traded moves without any one getting the upper hand. Clark's experience edge came into play later in the match, and Jerelle nailed UltraMantis with the 630 Senton for the win. Clark then headed to the back for some rest before his 4 corner tag with Elix Skipper. Jerelle Clark pinned UltraMantis Black with the 630 Senton in 0:14:43. Rating: *** The camera catches two wrestlers yelling at each other backstage. It's Petey and Doug Williams having a go at each other, Coach D'Amore egging Petey on. Petey: "You stupid Englishman, don't you realize that with your help, I could have become the Heavyweight Champion?" Doug: "Listen to me you overrated piece of shit. Without me, the Border City Patrol is a joke, you have no powerhouses. All you got is three little jumping jacks." Petey: "Oh yeah? All of those three could beat your non-talented, leaden ass." President DeMei appears, apparently out of nowhere. DeMei: "Did I hear a challenge being put forth." D'Amore: "No you didn't, stupid yankee, always so eager to go to war over nothing. Chill down, warmongerer!" DeMei: "Actually, both my parents are from Belgium." D'Amore (looking quite confused): "Where's that? Kentucky?" DeMei: "Aaaanyway.. I was thinking that the winner of the Williamses could be the fourth man in the top contender match. But hey, I see you're not interested.." D'Amore: "Waaait!!! I have changed my mind!" Match 3 - Samoa Joe vs Abyss Samoa Joe had asked for the big ones, and he was not disappointed with the size and strength of Abyss, TNA's monster. Joe is a much quicker and agile wrestler than Abyss, proven early on when Abyss was taken down with a rana. The big hoss may be slower, but he may also be stronger. A spear took the breath out of Joe. Abyss ruled most of the match now, even chokeslamming the former IWA champ. Abyss then went for a power bomb, but Joe quickly countered it with a small package, making the 3 count for the win. Samoa Joe pinned Abyss after a small package in 0:09:51. Rating: ** 1/2 Match 4 - Walters/McGuinness vs Havana Pitbulls vs the Messiah/Homicide vs Skipper/Clark for the Top Contendership One of these teams would receive a title shot later tonight, but would the strain of fighting twice in one night aid Generation Next in keeping the belt again? Quick tags and double team action as the Pitbulls attack the team of Walters and McGuinness right from the start. Homicide aids them whenever he can, maybe the Rottweilers will be reunited here in IWA? The two heel teams dominated this match, keeping Walters or McGuinness inside, not letting Skipper or Clark enter. The temporary Rottweiler alliance was broken up when Romero saved McGuinness from a Homicide STF, causing Homicide to immediately Cop Killa Romero. This led to a wild brawl between the Pitbulls and Homicide, Messiah deciding to continue the onslaught on McGuinness. Whether the events in this match will affect the Rottweilers' relationship in RoH is unknown, but neither held back anything, Reyes' fisherman buster yielding a 2 count. Prime Time finally gets the hot tag, cleaning the ring for both Pitbulls and Rottweilers (all dogs in general). Skipper executes the Sudden Death on Reyes, while Clark goes for the 630. Reyes is saved by Walters. The match is closing 30 minutes now, and all teams are rather even. The only ones happy with this long match (besides the fans, of course), must be Generation Next, as the longer the match keeps going, the more tired and weary their opponents will be. In all the confusion in and around the ring, Homicide smacks Jerelle Clark with a keyboard, setting up Messiah with the Godsmack. Homicide and Messiah will face Generation Next later on.. but the Messiah has yet another four corner match before that! Not a good thing for the team of Homicide and Messiah. Number-One-Contenders-Four Corners Match: The Messiah and Homicide defeated John Walters and Nigel McGuinness, Elix Skipper and Jerelle Clark and The Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero) when Messiah pinned J. Clark with the Godsmack in 0:33:31. Rating: **** 1/4 The quite so popular tag-team of D-Ray and Buck never started this match against Paris and newcomer Lovett. The BCP's music played, and Teddy Hart and Kevin Steen made their entrance with the ever so lovely Elsa Bangz. Teddy: "Hold on a minute, would you? You see, on Valentine's Day, Coach D'Amore, the most important manager in wrestling today *loud boos* made the right decision. He fired Doug Williams and hired a winner instead. He hired me. D'Amore, as the genius he is, knew that BCP needed more. They needed a powerhouse. So that is why I am here today. Cause I see two powerhouses. Buck Quartermain and Lex Lovett." Teddy moves over to Buck Quartermain. "So, Buck. Would you like to make good money being the strongarm of the most powerful group in Independent wrestling? Or would you rather continue tagging with this freak? *pointing at the confused D-Ray*. The crowd is shouting *don't do it Buck* at Quartermain, who slowly takes Teddy's microphone. Buck: "You want me to be in a group that consists of an irate, fat Canadian, a run-of-the-mill pornstar, a nobody who calls himself Mr. Wrestling and an ungrateful brat who is booked only cause of his name?" *huge pop* Teddy: "Yes.... what? Stupid hillbilly..!" Teddy moves away as Kevin Steen has to restrain Elsa Bangz. Teddy now moves over to Lex Lovett. Teddy: "Lex Lovett. Same question to you. A simple yes or no would suffice this time." Lex: "Oh, gee.. I dunno.. my grandmother's actually Canadian.. I guess it would make her proud.. OK, I'm in." Teddy: "Great! Now, this match is cancelled. Air France, get the hell over to the losers on the other side of the ring. This match was just hijacked, and is now a 6 man tag!" Match 5 - Air Paris/Buck Quartermain/D-Ray 3000 vs Border City Patrol (Kevin Steen, Teddy Hart & Lex Lovett) The Border City Patrol have recruited Lex Lovett, and this tag-match has been turned into a 6 man match! BCP might have wanted to recruit Buck Quartermain instead, as he chopped away on Lovett until the recent signee had to tag Teddy Hart. In fact, the makeshift 6-man-tag team controlled most of this match, disappointing if you consider the fact that the BCP is the major stable in IWA. Maybe giving up on Doug Williams wasn't such a good idea.. This was also a quite long and entertaining match, with a lot of good spots. Hart did an impossible dive to the outside, fortunately landing in D-Ray's hair, which cushioned the fall. Air Paris power bombed Kevin Steen on a steel chair, raising the decibel level here in Kommaus to an incredible height. Air Paris picks up the win for his team after a flying elbow, but BCP soon got their revenge. Elsa Bangz crotches Buck while Lex brutally attacks Air Paris. And while Steen and Hart restrains poor D-Ray, Scott D'Amore brutally shaves D-Ray's wonderful hair. What a travesty! And here comes Doug Williams, clotheslining Lex Lovett and sending the rest on their way. Unfortunately for D-Ray, a little too late. Buck Quartermain, D-Ray 3000 and Air Paris defeated Border City Patrol (Kevin Steen, Lex Lovett and Teddy Hart) when Paris pinned K. Steen after a flying elbowdrop in 0:19:33. Rating: *** 1/2 [Elsa Bangz interfered against Buck Quartermain.] Match 6 - Petey Williams vs Doug Williams The battle of the Williamses, this time not on a tennis court.. Doug had obviously picked up a few things from his months in the BCP, notably how to brilliantly counter the Canadian Destroyer with a backdrop. This match was strength vs speed, but make no mistake, the plancha Doug hit on Petey showed that the Anarchis was capable of high flying as well. Petey had D'Amore and Bangz present, and the wily Canadians used their power of interference on many occasions, distracting the referee and allowing Petey to choke Doug, using a pair of Elsa Bangz' signed panties! Doug fought back, determined to avenge himself and to take the leader of the Border City Patrol down. Removing D'Amore and Bangz from the equation was paramount, so Doug went outside, chasing them to the back. Petey tried to take advantage of this, again going for the Canadian destroyer. Doug spinned Petey around and nailed him with a perfect German suplex for the victory. D'Amore and Bangz return to the ring with the Border City Patrol, sorrunding Doug. The Briton doesn't quite know what to do, until John Walters and Nigel Mc Guinness run in, ambushing the BCP from behind. BCP have the numbers, and manage to take down this new faction due to that fact. D'Amore retrieves his scissors again, planning on taking Nigel McGuinness' hair, when Low-Ki, Elix Skipper and Jerelle Clark run down, cluttering the ringside. BCP manages to get away, but D'Amore is caught by Low Ki and held back. Williams tries to rally his troops to get D'Amore back, but the amassed force in the ring is too intimidating. BCP have to watch as Doug Williams cuts of D'Amore's hair, getting his revenge! Doug Williams pinned Petey Williams after a German suplex in 0:09:48. Rating: *** 1/4 [Kevin Steen interfered against Doug Williams.] Match 7 - Balls Mahoney vs B-Boy Balls have yet to win a match in IWA, but since his matches have been a 4 corner match and a match against Samoa Joe, nobody could blame him. Against the 160 lbs lighter B-Boy, however, nothing but a win was good enough. But like Goliath underestimated David, so did Balls Mahoney. When B-Boy rolled him up with a small package and got the pin, the big man couldn't believe his eyes. B-Boy was pinned twice last month, so this victory must have been sweet! B-Boy pinned Balls Mahoney after a small package in 0:10:15. Rating: ** 1/2 Generation Next are preparing for their match, and Francine comes in with a lot of shopping bags. Evans: "Where've you been? We got a match soon / We're facing Homicide and that other loon / we can't lose/ you gotta choose / buy some shoes / or blow my fuse *makes obscene gestures to his crotch while laughing* Cross: "Dude, do you really need to rap in the locker room? It's kinda rude." Evans: "Whatever man.. you're the dude! I'm the man. So, honeypuff.. what've you got?" Francine: *angrily* "I told you not to do coke before a match, you get all messed up in your head. Try this one instead" *throws him a Pepsi Max* Evans: "What? Sugarfree soda? No way sugarbunny. Francine: "Anyway, I got myself a nice new pair of high heels... " *she picks up a pair of black high heels as all three laugh.. picturing the heel striking down their foes* Match 8 - Low Ki vs the Messiah vs Mark Briscoe vs Doug Williams in a Top Contendership Match Low Ki had to win this one to keep his top contendership, but taking into account that two of them had fought earlier, and that the 4th man was a tag-team wrestler, Low Ki had definetely the upper hand. Still, he had to focus, as not to lose his match against teammate Christopher Daniels. It seemed clear that both Low Ki and Briscoe tried to end it quickly by taking out one of the tired guys, Mark going for Doug. It seemed that the BCP hadn't given up on Doug, as Kevin Steen interferred early on, executing the Package Piledriver on the outside. Low Ki and Mark Briscoe chased him away, giving the Messiah a pin opportunity. Doug kicked out, and repaid Low Ki's help earlier by locking him in a wristlock. Low Ki got to the ropes, and when Doug let go, Ki Krusher!! Briscoe, Doug and Low Ki shook hands as the Messiah got out of the ring. He hadn't been involved much, probably saving himself for his 3rd match this evening. Low Ki picked up a mic. Low-Ki: 'Christopher Daniels. I know you're not here, but I just wanted to tell you, you can't hide no more. You can't get President DeMei to make another top contender match, hoping to take that honor away from Low Ki. In 2 weeks, we will be in Lowell, Massachussets. That is the night where Low Ki becomes IWA Heavyweight Champion! Four Corners Match: Low Ki defeated Mark Briscoe, The Messiah and Doug Williams when Ki pinned D. Williams with the Ki Krusher in 0:07:18. Rating: **** [Kevin Steen interfered against Doug Williams.] Match 9 - Generation Next (Jason Cross & Jack Evans) vs the Messiah & Homicide for the Tag Team Titles Would the reign of Generation Next continue without Roderick Strong to help them? Or would the unlikely pairing of Messiah and Homicide strap the belts around their waists? Gen Next were serioysly outweighed here tonight, but they usually are anyway, but still manages to find a way out. Homicide tried to offset the weariness factor, choking Evans from the start of the match. the Messiah acted almost as an arms dealer in this match, providing Homicide with chairs or bats as he needed them. Cross and Evans tried their best to avoid them, but was caught up by the Messiah who sent Cross to the ground with a Burning Hammer. As a bloodied Homicide battles on the outside, the Messiah continues his quest to find new weapons, smashing a sign on Jack Evans' rather tiny head. Francine seems to realize that something must be done, entering the ring and smashing her stiletto heel into the Messiah's head. Jack Evans goes for the 630, but the Messiah kicks out! And reveals a bloodied eye! Has Francine taken out Messiah's eye?! Francine jumps onto the apron again, ready to take Messiah's other eye. Homicide pushes her down, but lets up his guard and allows Cross to connect with an inside cradle, getting the pin in tonight's main event. Generation Next (Jack Evans and Jason Cross) defeated The Messiah and Homicide when J. Cross pinned Homicide after an inside cradle in 0:13:39. Rating: *** (Generation Next retained the IWA Tag Team Titles.) [Francine interfered against The Messiah.] As Homicide and Messiah is taken away by EMT's, Francine enters the ring. Francine: 'As you all can see, nobody is able to beat my boys' Francine hugs both guys and kisses them on their cheeks. 'We have defeated every team in IWA.. there is no competition left. Francine continues to talk, but is drowned out by the crowd. The cameras scan the crowd, and show two guys making their way through the crowd and towards the ring. It's Matt and Jeff Hardy! As soon as Generation Next realizes what's happening, they quickly bail. The Hardy Boyz pose in the ring for a while, getting the crowd all excited. Matt Hardy picks up a microphone. Matt: 'Next month.. the reunion of the Hardy Boyz will culminate in the IWA Tag Team Titles!' The crowd goes ballistic as the show comes to an end. Card rating: *** 1/4 |
Shaun Sindelman | Posted on 04/23/05 at 18:20:29 *pops in the DVD* Let's see what we got here... Low Ki with opening comments...obviously The Fallen Angel has chosen to work somewhere else tonight. Here's hoping Low Ki makes it through the Top Contender's match tonight. Match 1 - Pat Kenney vs L.A. Park Nice win by The Irishman over The Mexican. Match 2 - Jerelle Clark vs UltraMantis Black Hmm, UltraMantis Black? sounds a bit jobberish to me. Wait...are Petey and Doug brothers? did I miss something here? Haha - i'm predicting Petey is the 4th man tonight. Match 3 - Samoa Joe vs Abyss Joe has quite a bit on his plate with Abyss across the ring but I think he can come through in the end. Smart move by Joe pulling out the small package. Match 4 - Walters/McGuinness vs Havana Pitbulls vs the Messiah/Homicide vs Skipper/Clark for the Top Contendership Prediction - Havana Pitbulls Darn, I was wrong but Gen Next vs Homicide/Messiah will be a hot one. Here's hoping Homicide/Messiah can rest up from the 30+ minutes. Poor Messiah though having to do TRIPLE duty tonight. Don't care for any of the 4 men. Good thing BCP stopped it before it could bore us all. Match 5 - Air Paris/Buck Quartermain/D-Ray 3000 vs Border City Patrol (Kevin Steen, Teddy Hart & Lex Lovett) Wow - Lex Lovett with the turn...still doesnt make me like him anymore though. Haha - they shaved D-Ray's afro...too funny. Match 6 - Petey Williams vs Doug Williams The battle of the Williamses, this time not on a tennis court..THAT WAS CLASSIC! Who would've though that a simple backdrop could counter the Canadian Destroyer. What a war it could be if Doug teamed with the likes of Nigel and Low Ki and Elix. Match 7 - Balls Mahoney vs B-Boy I'm rooting for Balls. WOW - B Boy did pull that small package out of NOWHERE. Match 8 - Low Ki vs the Messiah vs Mark Briscoe vs Doug Williams in a Top Contendership Match Messiah with a 2nd match in 1 night going into a 3rd later on...this can't be his night and im sure the 30+ minutes earlier will weigh him down against these 3 other men. Same goes for Doug Williams. Like I said before, i'm going with Low Ki and i'm stoked to see Daniels go down from the Ki Krusher. Match 9 - Generation Next (Jason Cross & Jack Evans) vs the Messiah & Homicide for the Tag Team Titles Well we all knew that stiletto heel would come into play but wow, Homicide with a busted eye as a result. HAHA - The Hardy's are in IWA!!!! Here's to wondering if Matt is going to be still riled up from the recent events in his life over at WWE. I'm interested to see Gen Next vs Hardys but I dont think Matt and Jeff can pull off the title change. |
rey619 | Posted on 04/25/05 at 21:26:27 IWA:NE News Report - 03.22.06 With only a few days ahead before IWA:NE presents their Night of Champions, it is about time to get moving and order your tickets. The show is to be held in Lexington, Massachussets, and both titles will be on the line. IWA:NE Heavyweight Title Ever since Triple X arrived here at IWA, sparks have gone off between Christopher Daniels and Low Ki. The somewhat pacifistic leadership of the Fallen Angel made Low Ki react with anger and harsh words. After voluntarily stepping down as leader, Low Ki replaced Daniels as head of this influential trio. At the same time, Daniels defeated Samoa Joe and became the 2nd Heavyweight champion. Throughout his reign, Daniels has been attacked verbally by Low Ki, and now that Ki is the top contender, words may become action. Will this be all-out war? Or a friendly rivalry culminating in a match for the top belt in IWA? And will Triple X be the same, ever again? IWA Tag-Team Titles Jack Evans and Jason Cross, along with their manager Francine, have become an unstoppable force known as Generation Next. They have defeated the Briscoes, The SAT's, The Border City Patrol and Homicide/Messiah to become the longest reigning champion(s) in USA today. Now, they face their greatest challenge as the Hardy Boyz reunite following Matt's firing from the WWE. Can Jeff and Matt pull off some old Hardy magic, or will the roller coaster known as Gen Next continue into April? Monster Challenge Samoa Joe has challenged anyone heavyier than he is to come to IWA, to prove that he can defeat big men as well, not only small ones. President DeMei has asked NOAH for one of their guys, and they will send Bison Smith to do battle with the big Samoan. After sending Abyss back to TNA with a small package two weeks ago, can Bison fare any better? Pure Power Doug Williams defeated Petey Williams in Kommaus 2 weeks ago, proving to Scott D'Amore that the bulky Canadian made a wrong choice of Williams. Together with John Walters and Nigel McGuinness, Doug has formed a new faction here in IWA, called Pure Power! It will be stable vs stable in Lexington, Pure Power vs Border City Patrol ! Also scheduled to appear: LA Park, AJ Styles, Briscoes, Messiah, Homicide & KENTA (who makes another guest appearance here at IWA:NE). Mikey Batts was injured in the triple threat match approximately one month ago. He has been cleared to wrestle, but will not appear on Night of Champions due to getting married this weekend. Jerelle Clark will attend his wedding, so don't expect to see him either. Rumor has it that Mrs Batts doesn't care too much for Batts injuring himself in this crazy sport, so unless Mikey can escape the dreaded "whip", his career may be shorter than expected... Rumors are flying that IWA will invite 5 of NOAH's stars to a huge 5 on 5 match on IWA's April 2nd show! This is only a strong rumor, but as AJ Styles, Homicide, the Briscoes and Generation Next are all scheduled for some nights on the new NOAH tour, this might come to fruition.. |
