IWF Taping #10: Distrust and Masks on 3/8/06


Winner gets a Title Shot Next Week: Number-One-Contenders-Match:
Steve Corino pinned Stevie Richards with the Old School Expulsion in 0:09:31.

[Raven interfered against Stevie Richards.]

Steve Corino and Stevie Richards tore the house down to open the night in the #1 contenders match.  Of course Raven had to get involved.  Raven sauntered down to the ring on crutches, and when the refs back was turned, cracked Stevie with the crutches, Stevie turned around and was hit with the Old School Expulsion by Corino.  The replay was then shown over the video monitors and an annoyed Steve Corino told Raven to get in the ring.  Corino explained he wanted to earn the victory himself without anyone else's help, and there was only one thing he could do, Corino then smiled and shook Raven's hand, and the two whooped on Stevie Richards.  The entire crowd was waiting for the MASKED MAN to make the save, but it wasn't meant to me, a camera flipped to the back where Vampiro was blocking the entrance way to the ring and had the MASKED MAN beaten down.  Raven grabbed the mic and told Vampiro to hold off on the un-masking, for now.  Raven said he would give the man one more week to get lost, or he would reveal him to everyone, and make his life a living hell.  The two ECW Alum's Corino and Raven left the ring and went to the back, where, with Vampiro, they tossed the masked man out of the Arena.  What will happen next week?  We also can't forget that Steve Corino is now the number 1 contender, and he will face Shane Helms for the title next week.  Can Helms overcome Corino AS WELL AS Raven and Vampiro?

Interview:
Taped Announcement from Board of Governors.

Steve Drysner, speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors announced that because of the attack suffered at the hands of Ken Shamrock, Commissioner Greenberg is not expected to return to the IWF for a long, long time.  He said that the board will begin their extensive search for a new Commissioner, in the mean time, a temporary commissioner would be announced next week!

Juventud Guerrera pinned Blitzkrieg after a rana in 0:10:32.

A Battle between two friends turned into a fist fight.  Juvy and Blitzkrieg put on a terrific match full of highspots for about 10 minutes tonight.  The crowd, not knowing who to cheer for, was seemingly cheering for every move.  After hitting a rana on Blitzkrieg, Juvy grabbed his tights and secured the win.  A pissed off Blitzkrieg questioned Juvy about the tights grabbing and he denied it.  Blitz got on the mic and asked for a replay of the ending of the match, just as the ending was going to be shown Juvy sucker punched Blitzkrieg.  The two brawled for a few minutes until officials came out to break it up.

Vampiro pinned William Regal with the Vampiro Spike in 0:11:12.

Keeping up the string of good matches, Vampiro and William Regal put on a 10 minute exhibition for the crowd, which saw Vampiro pick up the win after hitting the Vampiro Spike on Regal.

Shane Helms, Taz and The Patriot defeated
Test, Muhammad Hassan and Shawn Daivari when Taz made Daivari submit to the
Tazmission in 0:20:39.

This 6 man match became bloody quick when the referee announced that it would be a no DQ matchup!

All 6 men were busted open, and Taz finally picked up the win for his team at the 20:39 mark.

Steve, from the Board of Directors announced that next week Taz will team with The Patriot against Hassan and Daivari in a Flag Match (think ladder match but with the American Flag hanging down).  The losing team must be handcuffed to the ropes for Five Minutes.

Triangle Match:
M-N-M (Joey Matthews and Johnny Nitro) defeated
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) and Justin Credible and Psicosis:
        x J. Nitro beat Psicosis via disqualification in 0:09:58
        x J. Nitro beat J. Hardy via a foreign object in 0:13:54

[Melina interfered against Jeff Hardy.]

M-N-M have become the new World Tag Team Champions!  Johnny Nitro hit Jeff Hardy with a baseball bat at around the 13 minute mark while the referee was distracted by Psicosis and Justin Credible.  Here's how it happened.  Justin and Psicosis were the first eliminated when, once again, Psicosis was late to showing up.  Finally, Psicosis made it to the ring with his trusy baseball bat, and again dressed like a gang member.  Psicosis walked in the ring and first walloped Johnny Nitro with the bat, causing he and Justin Credible, the TAG CHAMPIONS, to be disqualified from the match.  This set off Justin, who started brawling with Psicosis, the two battled up and down the ramp as M-N-M and the Hardyz continued their matchup.  Ian Brinks, the referee was distracted with Justin and Psicosis who had brawled back down towards ringside, when Melina handed Nitro the bat that Psicosis had brought to the ring.  Nitro hit Hardy with the bat, and the ref counted the  pin.  After the match, as M-N-M were celebrating, Psicosis came back in the ring and laid them
both out with the baseball bat.  Luckily for the Hardyz, they had cleared the ring.  At this point Psicosis picked up Justin Credible, who had been launched into the ringside stairs, and took him in the ring.  Psicosis hit a thundering shot with the baseball bat to Credible's stomach, and blood starting coming from his mouth.  Jason ran in to try and save Justin, but he was taken out by the bat as well.  Psicosis grabbed the mic, and in broken english, said something to the effect of, "Credible, you wanted me to be tougher, now you created me, and you cannot stop me"  With that Psicosis hit another thundering shot to Credible's chest, and climbed the top rope where the stunned fans had to give him a thundering cheer, for, everyone hates Justin Credible.

I have no idea who I should use for the temporary Commissioner at this point.

I want it to be someone on the current roster who isn't in a storyline.

Perhaps Regal I don't know.  

Would love to hear some comments on the card.
