Results of New Years Brawl Show 13:

New Years Brawl starts off with Eric Bischoff coming out to a chorus of boos.

Bischoff:  Welcome to our one year anniversary show!  Tonight against my better judgment Cactus Jack will challenge for the GWF Heavyweight title.  Not only that but Sting will debut as will Sabu and since it leaked out on the internet I will let you all know that New Jack will be the fourth man in the hardcore battle royal.  I am also out here to announce that next month will be a special event.  It will be entitled Survival of the Fittest.  It will consist of three 10 man elimination matches.  The survivor of those matches will advance into a battle royal.  The winner of that match gets a shot at the GWF Heavyweight Title.  Enough talk folks.  Lets bring our first match out.

Our opening match is a rematch between Randy Savage and Blitzkrieg.  The young high flyer seems to be gaining momentum as he again upset Savage.  Savage seemed sluggish, almost old in the ring.  He got in very little offense, mostly just punches and slams.  The end came when Blitz hit a double springboard headscissors followed by an awesome 450 splash for the win.

Blitzkrieg pinned Randy Savage after a 450 splash in 0:05:02.
Rating: *** 1/4

After the match Blitz celebrated in the ring.  Savage spins Blitz around and they go nose to nose.  Savage then raises the youngsters hand.

Savage:  This is the future of wrestling right here.  This company is the future of wrestling.  Everyone watch this man, especially you Muhammad Hassan, because there is gold in his future----OH YEAH!!

Next out came Bobby Heenan.

Heenan:  Are you people happy?  Are you!  You pushed my Powers of Pain so hard that they are now ready to kill each other.  I refuse to be a part of this match.  They are both out of the Heenan Family, but the winner will be welcomed back with open arms.

These two monsters dominated and destroyed one another.  Early on the Barbarian connected with a Kick of Fear that probably broke the Warlord's nose as ht started bleeding and soon his face was a bloody mess.  Later on the Warlord hit a clothesline that actually flipped the Barbarian inside out.  The Warlord then hit another clothesline that sent the Barbarian to the floor.  The duo then started brawling on the floor.  They brawled on the floor and they were both counted out.

Warlord and The Barbarian battled to a double countout in 0:08:59.
Rating: ** 1/4

They fought back into the ring where the Warlord locked in the Full Nelson.  The Barbarian started screaming when from the back out ran the monster known as Meng.  Meng nailed the Warlord in the back of the head with a thrust kick and then locked in the Tongan Death Grip.  The Brain Buster come out from the back and along with the Barbarian are finally able to pull the monster off.

Hennan:  well it looks like the Heenan family is almost complete.  There is one more member I want to introduce however.  This is a former GWF Heavyweight Champion, I give you the Man They Call Vader!

Vader comes out and embraces Heenan.

Vader:  Boo all you want.  BOO THE MONSTER!  I hired this man because he can get things done.  He has already got me a title shot later this year.  He has got more stuff done that I couldn't when I was trying to play to you.  Boo me all you want because I am getting my title back!

Suddenly the arena goes dark and there is lightning all over.  We then see the debut of Sting.

Sting:  We have heard this before.  This is the same speech you gave in WCW and in the WWF.  Well in WCW I kicked your butt and in the WWF---I guess everyone kicked your butt!

Vader looks completely nuts as he charges Sting in the aisle.  This was a wild match with Vader controlling most of the fight.  Vader hit all his big moves.  He just punished Sting constantly with body shots and high impact slams.  Sting however would stay down.  Vader went to the top and went for a moonsault against Bobby Heenan's wishes.  Sting came back with a series of chops and then hit a series of Stinger Splashes.  Anderson jumped on the apron and took a clothesline.  Tully to get in and took a dropkick.  The Barbarian ran in and got backdropped from the ring.  Meng then grabbed Sting and went for a suplex but Sting floated over and gave him a Scorpion Deathdrop.  The fans were on their feet as Sting went for a fifth Stinger Splash but Vader caught him and hit a running powerslam.  He then hit a powerbomb followed by the Vader Bomb for the win.

Big Van Vader pinned Sting with the Vader Bomb in 0:10:28.
Rating: *** 1/2

Vader stood over a fallen Sting as the Heenan Family all posed in the ring.

Next out came Christopher Nowinski armed with a mic.

Nowinski:  Well here I am the King of Hard---

Suddenly just like what we expected New Jack's familiar rap music started.  From behind out came Funk and Whipwreck.  They attacked Nowinski from behind.  New Jack came in armed with his trashcan full of stuff.  He went to hit Nowinski with what looked to be a playstation but missed and hit Funk.  Nowinski then locked in a side cradle for the elimination as Mikey and New Jack just watched.  So much for team work.  However Mikey and New Jack then took turns beating on Nowinski for about 10 minutes much to the delight of the crowd.  Finally Mikey hit a Whippersnapper followed by the 187 from New Jack for the elimination.  New Jack quickly hit a Piledriver on a stunned Whipwreck for the elimination and the win.

4-Man Battle Royal:
New Jack won a 4-man Battle Royal:
        x C. Nowinski defeated T. Funk after a side cradle in 0:01:28
x New Jack defeated C. Nowinski after the 187 in 0:11:35
x New Jack defeated Mikey after a piledriver in 0:11:39
Rating: ****

As New Jack celebrated from the back out came Muhammad Hassan, Daivari and Sabu.  New Jack didn't see them coming and was attacked from behind.  He was beaten to a bloody pulp before being tossed from the ring.

Hassan:  So this is what hardcore is?  Hitting people with video games!  Look at my friend here, look at Sabu.  He is hardcore and he is wearing the scars to prove it.  He has taught me EVERYTHING about you Foley, Mankind, Cactus Jack---whatever you are calling yourself.  I know all your secrets because I have the man you can't beat.  You have beat Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker and Kane.  You have beat them all but you won't beat me just like you couldn't beat Sabu.

Enter the Sandman starts playing as the Sandman charges the ring armed with his trusty cane.  He swings at Hassan but he ducks and hits Daivari.  This was another wild brawl like the previous match.  Sabu and The Sandman bled buckets during the match.  The end seem to come out of nowhere.  Sabu went for the Triple Jump Moonsault but the Sandman pulled the chair Sabu used into the way.  He then hit a DDT for the win.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
The Sandman pinned Sabu with the DDT in 0:10:42.
Rating: *** 3/4

Hassan came in and hit his STO before leaving practically dragging Sabu behind him.

The most dominant team in the GWF's short life suffered one of their few losses against the unlikely team of Taka and Funaki.  Not only did they lose they lost their titles as well.  Most of the match saw E&C throw the two high flyers around like they were nothing.  They would get a random dropkick or punch in but that was about it.  Edge went for a spear on Funaki but he moved and Edge hit Christian.  Funaki gave Edge a backslide while Edge looked stunned at Christian.  The upset kids win and take the titles.  They run off and celebrate in the crowd.

Funaki and Taka Michinoku defeated Edge and Christian when Funaki pinned
Edge after a backslide in 0:12:41.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Funaki and Taka Michinoku won the GWF Tag Team Titles.)

A 12 man tag team battle royal was next and it was full of quick elimination.  Pretty Wonderful feel quickly after El Dandy hit a flying legdrop after Knobbs countered a Piledriver from Orndorff.  Next to fall was El Dandy.  Arn Anderson locked in a sleeper and Dandy tapped out.  Anderson then went on a tear eliminating Jerry Sags with a DDT.  Kazarian was worked over by the Brain Busters while the Rock N Roll Express worked over Michael Shane.  Shane was given a Double Dropkick from RNR while Arn got Kazarian to tap out to a Boston Crab.  It was then the Busters vs. the RNR.  They hit both men with the Double Dropkick.  Tully got back and went to clip Morton but missed and hit Arn.  Gibson quickly locked in the Gibson Leglock for the win.

12-Man Tag Team Battle Royal:
Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson won a 6-team Battle Royal:
x Dandy defeated Orndorff (partner: Paul Roma) after a flying legdrop
in 0:01:32
x Anderson defeated Dandy (partner: Villano IV) after a sleeperhold in
0:01:56
x Anderson defeated Sags (partner: Brian Knobbs) after a DDT

a Boston crab in 0:03:35
x R. Gibson defeated Anderson (partner: Tully Blanchard) after the
Gibson Leglock in 0:05:35
Rating: ** 1/2

From the back out came the rest of the Heenan Family.  They attacked the Express and left them laying.

Heenan:  We don't care if it Cactus Jack or Hassan that wins our next match we want the winner.  We are going to bring the title to where it belongs, the Heenan Family.

Only his second match back but Cactus Jack looked good.  We haven't heard if this is a short term thing of if Cactus is back for good.  However as usual Hassan seems to be blessed from above as he continues to win.  This was fought under hardcore rules but it wasn't needed as they actually stayed in the ring for the most part.  Jack did hit his clothesline over the top followed by his elbow to the floor.  In the ring Hassan locked in the Camel Clutch but Cactus wouldn't tap.  On the outside Daivari screamed at Cactus and that only enraged him.  Cactus got to his feet and just fell backwards.  Jack then went for his Double Arm DDT but Hassan was ready with a low blow and then hit his Modified STO for the win and a huge upset.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Muhammad Hassan pinned Cactus Jack with the Modified STO in 0:13:22.
Rating: **** 3/4
(Muhammad Hassan retained the GWF Heavyweight Title.)

Hassan:  I did it!  I TOLD YOU ALL I WOULD AND I DID!!  I defeated the unbeatable.  I defeated the man you said couldn't be beat.  Now look at him.

Cactus Jack is crawling toward Hassan and clutches at his boot.

Hassan:  Look at your hero.

Hassan spits on him and in comes Daivari and Sabu.  The trio begins to put the boots to Cactus when from the back out runs the Sandman and the Dudley Boys.  Right behind them are the Road Warriors who attack the Dudley's.  The locker room empties as they try and finally do separate the men brawling.  We see that Bubba is already busted open as the bell rings for our match.  Even though this match is under hardcore rules it is much more like a typical tag team match.  Bubba is soon bleeding like faucet and the mat is soaked.  Finally he manages to make a tag and D-Von is like a house of fire on both members of the LOD.  However he is soon isolated.  Animal hits his Powerslam for a very near fall.  They have D-Von up for the Doomsday Device but Bubba breaks it up.  Hawk comes off with a Flying Clothesline anyway but Bubba ducks.  Hawk gets back to his feet and stumbles right into 3D for the huge win by the Dudley's.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
The Dudley Boys (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) defeated The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) when Bubba pinned Hawk after the 3D in 0:15:46.
Rating: **** 1/4

Bubba practically collapses in the ring when the LOD attack D-Von.  They have him set up for the Doomsday Device but they drop him as the Sandman and Cactus Jack rush out for the save.

Cactus:  Look at you two.  So you two want to side with those jackasses in the back?  Well as Eric Bischoff said earlier tonight next month we have Survival of the Fittest, well you are looking at the Fittest.  BANG BANG!

NEWS AND NOTES:

Daivari/Muhammed Hassan/Sabu/Road Warriors vs. Cactus Jack /Dudley's/Sandman/Blitzkrieg

Randy Savage has left the GWF after being one of our first stars.  We hope that in the future we can bring the Macho Man back and wish him luck in all his future endeavors.

Sting was said to be impressed with the GWF and is in talks about returning on a more regular basis.

There is talks that local TV is interested in putting the GWF on in a late night position.

This month the GWF officials will be sitting down with all of their talent evaluating them.  Expect to see some stars who aren't working out to be released or not brought back.

Funny how you used "leaked on the internet" and just came out and announced New Jack. Good stuff since it actually did "leak." I like the idea of Elimination Matches leading to the Battle Royal. I love me some Surivor Series style stuff.

Maybe it's time for Savage to hang it up after losing a second time to Blitz. He had his moments in GWF, but it's time to just move on. Blitz gets a slight rub from Savage afterwards.

Just like Heenan... let the PoP kill each other and THEN let him back in the Heenan Family. What makes him think the winner will want to rejoin him? Warlord and Barbarian was certainly brutal... and a double counout result can only mean one thing... REMATCH! Meng is here!! The Brain Busters and Barbarian have to pull Meng off Warlord... oh jeez, this is nuts. So now Meng and Barbarian may be a tag team and who knows what is going to happen to Warlord.

Vader joining up with Heenan kinda sucks as I liked him as a babyface, but the change could be good for him. This prompts the arrival of Sting. All of the Heenan Family attempts to get at Sting, but are unsuccessful. However, Vader is still able to pick up the win - so maybe Heenan is good for him.

New Jack makes an impressive debut! The self proclaimed "King of Hardcore" had his ass handed to him. All four men are definatly capable of holding the title of "King of Hardcore" - maybe you can make it official somehow.

Two more hardcore wrestlers, Sabu and Sandman, beat the hell out of each other as expected. Too bad Sandman won because I was rooting for Sabu. The addition of Sabu makes me kind of like Hassan and Daivari as all 3 of them together seem like a formidable stable.

Awesome! Funaki & Taka won the titles!! Maybe they have finally shed that comedy routine and are proving themselves to be a hell of a tag team. It's no easy task defeating E&C.

After the tag battle royal, the Heenan Family make it known they're not messing around. I could see trouble for anyone in GWF that crosses the Heenan Family's path.

Hassan retains in a hard fought match against Cactus Jack, a certifiable legend. Everyone comes running out to get Arab group off of Cactus prompting a brutal tag team match! The Road Warriors put a beating on The Dudleys afterwards and are setting up for the kill, but luckily The Sandman and Cactus come to the rescue. Cactus' comment at the end about being the fittest is pretty funny...
