Cincinnati Pro presents Collision Course
Friday, October 7, 2005
Bell Time: 8:00 p.m.
Place: Western Hills Sports Mall in Cincinnati, Ohio

(It's already looking like a wild night here in Cincinnati Pro as just seconds after welcoming the fans, ring announcer Seth Martini was interrupted by the now familiar IWA-Mid South entrance theme. The fans collectively stand on their feet and boo. Out from behind the curtains is Ian Rotten. He is leading the way for three other IWA-Mid South representatives... BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Jacobs, and JC Bailey. A few fans are letting out "HUSS" chants for the "Barbaric Berzerker" Jimmy Jacobs, but he is not acknowledging them. The four of them climb in the ring as ring announcer Seth Martini cowers in the corner. BJ Whitmer walks over to him and snatches the microphone out of his hand. Whitmer then hands the microphone to Ian Rotten.)

Ian Rotten: One month ago... the last time the four of us were in Cincinnati Pro... things did not go so well for us. Not because it just wasn't our day... not because we were 'unprepared'... but because of a collaborative conspiracy against us! Everyone in Cincinnati Pro knows that we are a threat to this company. We are a threat to this company because together the four of us can bring this promotion down to rubble in the dirt! Last month, it was JC Bailey challenging that punk, ultimate fighter wanna-be Chris Leben. The referee's decision... Leben wins by submission... well BULL SHIT! Bailey never tapped out! Look at this kid! He has been through hell and back! He has faced men a hundred times more dangerous than Chris Leben! The referee took advantage of Bailey, abused his power, and claimed that JC Bailey could no longer continue. Oh, JC could continue alright and had the match gone any longer, you wouldn't be seeing the dream match tonight between Leben and Ken Shamrock. Secondly, Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer were FORCED to fight each other in a triangle match with Josh Abercrombie. What am I supposed to tell them? Am I supposed to tell these guys to go out there and NOT try to win? Of course not! They had to do what they had to do. Once again, Cincinnati Pro abuses their power, this time making best friends fight one another. And finally, myself... Ian Rotten was made the main target of three guys at one time. It was the big Four Corners Match for the Cincinnati Pro Tri-State Heavyweight Championship. There is no doubt in my mind that Volk Han, Hayabusa, and Chris Hero were TOLD before hand to take me out. It took all three of them to finally eliminate me from the match.

(The fans are disgusted at Rotten's comments. They don't believe a word he is saying. In fact, it appears that the only people that are agreeing with Rotten are his three friends standing in the ring with him.)

Ian Rotten: So Chris Hero and Hayabusa took up my offer and they came to IWA-Mid South... the TOP independant promotion in the U.S. today... for a one-night only tag team match against BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs. The match went to a time limit draw. You know what that tells you? That tells you that IWA-Mid South was NOT out to screw to Hero & Hayabusa... our referee was not out there to be biased... and there was not a hit put out on their heads. You see because IWA-Mid South are professionals! We treat this business right while Cincinnati Pro treats it like garbage and it makes me sick!

(At that comment, "My Hero" by Foo Fighters comes blaring over the speakers. The crowd is in a frenzy. Chris Hero and Hayabusa walk out from behind the curtain. The fans erupt. They walk towards the ring being very cautious. Jimmy Jacobs lunges towards the outside of the ring, but Bailey and Whitmer manage to hold him back. Rotten tosses the microphone to Hero, daring him to say something.)

Chris Hero: Ian Rotten... it was not very long ago that I worked for IWA-Mid South on a regular basis. Hell, I have been to the very top of IWA-Mid South. I paid my dues in your promotion and I'll be the first to admit... you guys are very professional about things over there. But to whine and make up excuses as to why you have been unsuccessful in Cincinnati Pro is VERY unprofessional! A professional would handle his business IN THE RING!!

(The fans back up Chris Hero with their cheers. Ian Rotten looks at the fans. Jacobs and Whitmer are screaming at them to shutup. JC Bailey climbs up onto the second rope and also tries to get the fans to shutup.)

Chris Hero: So what I propose is this... tonight... you take care of business like a professional. The four of you lace up your boots and... well... three of you lace up your boots... Jacobs, you do whatever it is you do to get your furry boots on... and you climb in the ring as a team! Hayabusa and myself are challenging you four to an EIGHT-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH to settle this thing!

(Bailey, Whitmer, and Jacobs look at Ian Rotten and await his decision. Ian Rotten nods his head and accepts the challenge.)

Chris Hero: Tonight, IWA-Mid South, Cincinnati Pro will show you exactly how professional we can be when we kick your asses all over this building like professionals would!!

(The fans cheer as Hero's music comes back on and him and Hayabusa leave ringside. IWA-Mid South leave the ring and already Ian Rotten is discussing a game plan with them.)

[Mark Henry interfered against Tito Santana.]

Tito Santana came into this match on fire! Normally he is an active tag team wrestler and this is the first time we have seen him in singles competition in CP. Nowinski slowed him down for a bit, but Tito was quickly back on top. Mark Henry was at ringside and he put an end to the small burst of offense Tito had going. Nowinski locked Tito for the Full Nelson Bomb, but Tito countered with a backward kick. The fans were cheering Tito and Tito, making a HUGE mistake, responded to the fans. While he was doing so, Henry handed Nowinski a bat and then grabbed the attention of the referee. When Tito turned around he was eating a baseball bat! Nowinski slid the bat out of the ring and made the cover while Mark Henry let the referee get back to officiating. It was over and Nowinski has himself a cheap win with the help of Mark Henry. These two just became a combined unit last month, but already they are looking make a big impact together. Nowinski requests the microphone and Mark Henry gets it for him...

Christopher Nowinski: Did you see that? I defeated a LEGEND! And you know what... it was easy! Take a look at us... myself... and Mark Henry... we are unstoppable together. I am the future of this company... and I am the future of this industry! I will be at the top in no time! In fact, I will start tonight... VOLK HAN!! Bring that Tri-State Heavyweight Championship out here RIGHT NOW so I can take it!

(In no time, Volk Han's music comes on and he walks out. The fans give him a warm welcome. He has the Tri-State Heavyweight Championship around his waist. He climbs up onto the ring apron, takes the title off and lays it in the corner of the ring. Mark Henry starts stepping toward Han, but Nowinski steps him and tells him to back away. Mark Henry climbs out of the ring. Volk Han steps in the ring... Nowinski charges him, Han ducks a clothesline... Nowinski turns around and Volk Han jumps on him and takes him down with the Cross Knee Scissors. Han has it locked and Nowinski is tapping out immediatly. Mark Henry slides in the ring, but Han breaks the hold and slides out before Henry can get to him. Han grabs the title and holds it above his head with a smile on his face. The fans are cheering him. Nowinski is definatly not ready to face a champion like Volk Han.)

Sean O'Haire and Mike Awesome defeated The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) when Awesome pinned Thrasher with the Awesome Bomb in 0:12:24.
Rating: ***

The Headbangers were at a size disadvantage and it showed as they could not find a way to really hurt Awesome or O'Haire. Awesome & O'Haire started out strong by dominating both Headbangers, even busting Mosh open. The Headbangers would try to fight back, but would always get cut off. The fans were appreciative of their fighting spirit, but knew they may be in over their heads. Finally, the Headbangers started double teaming whenever they could and this gave the fans some hope. The Headbangers were making a comeback, but when they couldn't keep O'Haire and Awesome down, Thrasher got mad at the referee and tossed him to the outside of the ring. Then the match broke down and Awesome & O'Haire regained the advantage and shortly thereafter they put the Headbangers away for good. An excellent tag team match.

Pablo Marquez requested this match because he wanted to prove to everyone that he could go with the big dogs of the sport. When the match began, Pablo overwhelmed Shinzaki with all kinds of offense. The fans were impressed and it looked like Pablo might actually pull off the biggest upset of the year! However, once the two of them were on the outside of the ring, it was all Shinzaki from there. Shinzaki beat the poor guy all over ringside before rolling him back in and hitting the Praying Power Bomb for the win. When the referee called for the bell, Shinzaki's music didn't play... instead, John Kronus' music came over the speaker and he made his way to the ring wearing his ring gear... he grabs the microphone at ringside...

John Kronus: Shinzaki... a challenge from a low-life like Pablo Marquez is nothing! A guy like you actually had a rough time trying to beat Marquez when a guy like me would have annihilated him! You're pathetic, Shinzaki! Here's a real challenge for you... right here... right now... me and you!

(Kronus throws the microphone down... Shinzaki is prepared in the ring, calling Kronus in... Kronus slides in and the referee calls for the bell!)

Rating: ***

Wow! This match was nothing more than a fight! Last month, Shinzaki defeated Kronus cleanly... when Shinzaki was going to show his respect for Kronus, Kronus slid out of the ring and walked to the back, obviously disappointed. Tonight, it was apparent that Kronus wanted revenge. These two barely stayed in the ring. They fought all over ringside, then fought in the ring for a few seconds, then right back out to ringside again. Kronus was split open at some point during the melee. In the end, Kronus hit a series of strikes on Shinzaki leaving him defenseless against the 450 Splash and Kronus picks up the win.

(The next match is a match between two mystery wrestlers... the winner will recieve a 6 Month Contract with Cincinnati Pro. The man who came out first was none other than "THE NATURAL" BUTCH REED! The fans did not respond to him too well. Butch Reed made his biggest impact in professional wrestling in the mid to late 80's in the WWF along with his manager at the time, Slick. He didn't do too well then and we haven't heard much about him up until now. Tonight, he's could take a huge step in the right direction to getting his career back on track. But we're not sure who his opponent is... "IT'S TIME... IT'S TIME... IT'S.. VADER.. TIME!!" Oh my god! The fans are on their feet! VADER HAS JUST APPEARED IN CINCINNATI PRO!! This is UNBELIEVABLE! He walks to the ring with arms outstretched... the fans are giving him one hell of a response! He climbs in the ring and this match is on!)

Vader pinned Butch Reed after a sunset flip in 0:09:10.
Rating: ** 3/4

Vader absolutely dominated in this match. Most of the offense Butch Reed was able to get in, Vader just shrugged it off and continued beating on Butch Reed. It's amazing that Butch Reed went 9 minutes with Vader, even kicking out of the Choke Slam! Surprisingly, the match ended with something as simple as a sunset flip, but we have to believe that Butch Reed was relieved when it was all over. However... I think everyone in the building heard the collective "gasp!" that came from the locker room when the referee counted three and Vader was victorious. The realization that Vader is actually IN Cincinnati Pro has to be heavy on the minds of EVERYONE competing here.

Rating: ** 1/2

This was a lengthy tag team match that probably could have recieved a better match rating had it not gone so long... but it was not a boring match at all. It started out slow, but picked up really quick and both teams were showing a lot desire to win. The team of Noble and The Patriot, however, obviously miscommunicated more than they would have liked and it was getting to them. At one point, the two exchanged negative comments towards each other. In the end, this new duo of Noble & The Patriot proved to be too much for the clowns as they picked up the win in just over twenty minutes. After the match, Noble celebrated on the second rope while The Patriot just stood in the ring with his hands on his hips looking at Noble. The team did not leave the ring together. This isn't looking too good because with this win, this team has won the opportunity to appear in the Tag Team Tournament planned for next month. Hopefully they can straighten things out.

(The next match is ready to begin. Rick Martel comes to the ring first with a good ovation, and then his tag team partners for this six-man tag team match, Shark Boy & Matt Stryker head to the ring. The crowd is really behind them. Then the music of "Vicious & Delicious" is heard and the fans cheers quickly turn to boos. Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton come out. Bagwell is all smiles, struts, and poses while Norton looks to be all business. They climb into the ring and Buff takes the microphone.)

Buff Bagwell: I'm not going to waste anybody's time because I know how much you all want to see us destroy these three punks. We searched for a whole month for someone that could roll with two guys like myself and Scott Norton. We're a couple of cool cats... and we wanted someone that could hang with us both inside the ring and outside the ring. Ladies and gentlemen... I introduce to you... our tag team partner... The Pearl River Pimp Daddy... AHMED JOHNSON!

(What?! Ahmed Johnson comes out from behind the curtain. He's in GREAT shape! He has a step in his walk and a grin on his face. This isn't the same Ahmed Johnson that we remember from the WWE. There's something different about him. He seems to be a little full of himself and he is continually checking out his body and flaunting himself for the fans... who, by the way, have taken an extreme disliking to him already. He climbs in the ring and Buff jumps Rick Martel from behind. The referee calls for the bell and forces the remaining wrestlers onto the ring apron.)

Rating: 3/4*

Shark Boy nails the Running Forearm Smash on Norton knocking him silly and picking up the pinfall victory in only two and half minutes! Ahmed Johnson didn't even have the opportunity to get into the ring... until after the bell. Shark Boy and Stryker were celebrating the win when Ahmed and Buff clubbed them from behind and knocked them out of the ring. Martel came at the two of them, but the stopped him. They whipped him into the ropes and went for a double clothesline, but Martel ducked and came back with a clothesline of his own flooring both men. Buff popped back up but was met with a dropkick and he rolled out of the ring. Scott Norton got to his feet, but was quickly clotheslined over the ropes. When he turned around, Ahmed kicked him in the gut and then nailed the Pearl River Plunge on Martel. Vicious & Delicious & Ahmed Johnson left ringside with grins on their faces. We're not sure what to expect from this new trio.

Rating: **

These two have a heated rivalry we thought we were going to see a "slobberknocker" so to say... but they seemed to keep their hands cool and their tempers under control as we witnessed a rather good wrestling match. We expected to see the match break down at any time, but the two kept the pressure on each other with wrestling holds, locks, and slams. In the end, El Dandy was able to keep Jannetty down for a three count after a flying legdrop. Jannetty was not too pleased with call. Dandy rolled out of the ring immediatly and celebrated on the outside. He then requested the microphone...

El Dandy: Marty Jannetty... usted es un perdedor! El Dandy es superior luchador! Haha... you will never win...

(El Dandy turns towards the crowd and laughs. He is obviously proud of his comments... but Jannetty did not take to kindly to his words. When Dandy turned around, Jannetty came flying out of the ring with a big plancha taking down Dandy. He sat up on Dandy and started raining down punches. He pulled Dandy to his feet and slammed him head first into the guardrail. Jannetty walked around the ring and grabbed a chair. He walked towards Dandy and took a swing at him with the chair, but Dandy luckily got out of the way and then ran off to the back. Jannetty is irate and you can believe that this is not finish by a long shot!)

(The next matchup has been building for months. Ken Shamrock has been appearing at Cincinnati Pro shows for quite sometime now, at first as a fan, then involving himself in Chris Leben's matches. While not under contract, he has agreed for this one-night only match against Leben. Finally, these two will meet in the ring, one-on-one. Chris Leben makes his way to the ring first. He looks more prepared than we have ever seen him. This will definatly be the toughest challenge of his life. His opponent, Ken Shamrock, makes his way towards the ring. He looks focused as always. As soon as the two are in the ring, they are nose to nose in the center. The referee steps between them to seperate them. After some time, they finally break away into seperate corners and await the official bell.)

This was fight if we have ever seen one! These two tore into each other! No one expected Leben to put up this good of a fight against Shamrock, but he made a believer out of everyone tonight. It didn't take long for Shamrock to get in the zone as he was pumped up right from the beginning. But Leben would fight back hard and come close to winning the match. Leben is not as good at submissions as Shamrock is, so he tried to knock out Shamrock and win by pinfall. Shamrock took a lot of shots, but he managed to keep his wits about him and in the end, he locked on the Ankle Lock Submission. Leben crawled and reached and fought the Ankle Lock Submission, but it was too much. The referee called for the bell before Shamrock snapped the ankle. Shamrock stood and raised his hands in victory but he was exhausted and everyone saw it. Leben gave him a run for his money. When Leben finally got to his feet with the help of the ropes, the fans were on their feet for him. He looked like he was getting emotional, but he pulled it together and with the help of the referee, headed to the locker room.

(IWA-Mid South representatives Ian Rotten, Jimmy Jacobs, BJ Whitmer, and JC Bailey came out for the big Eight-Man-Tag Team Match. Chris Hero & Hayabusa came out next, but they didn't have their partners with them. When they climbed in the ring, "How Do You Like Me Now" was heard over the speakers and out came Hardcore Holly and Al Snow! They're the partners of Hero & Hayabusa! IWA-Mid South were floored by this revelation!! This is going to be good...)

This was pure pandemonium from the opening bell to the final bell! Bodies were everywhere! All eight of these men have been known to get hardcore at times, some more than other, and this match had plenty of hardcore. When it was coming close to the end, Hayabusa just couldn't seem to put away Ian Rotten. Rotten had a lot of fight in him and he took so many shots from Hayabusa. Finally, when it looked like Hayabusa wouldn't be able to get it done, we saw a repeat from the Four Corners Match last month as Hayabusa scored the pinfall over Ian Rotten! The fans were on their feet. This is a big win for Cincinnati Pro! The question now... is the heat between Cincinnati Pro and IWA-Mid South finally over? Only time will tell.

What is going on!? First, this match was thrown together at the last second. Both of these guys were anxious to get in the ring, so they just put them in their together. Secondly, Alexander Otsuka was expected to dominate this match. And third, the fans don't like EITHER of these guys... well, they didn't when the match started. This match was AWESOME! The fans loved every second of it. Bull Pain had control in this match more than Otsuka, and both of these guys were getting cheered by the fans. It had nothing to do with the fact that both of these guys are assholes... it had more to deal with the fact that both of these guys were out there doing what they love and putting on one hell of match. In the end, Bull Pain was forced to tap out to the Jujigatame. But the big story here... this has to be ranked in the top 3 matches of Cincinnati Pro history thus far... and that is saying a lot.. especially for Bull Pain! Bull Pain was a guy who put on such a disappointing performance in his first showing here that everyone thought they would never see him again. And now this? Unbelievable!

(Volk Han retained the CP Tri-State Heavyweight Championship)
[Alexander Otsuka interfered against Volk Han.]

Alexander Otsuka never really left ringside after his previous match with Bull Pain. Instead, he stayed close by as Abercrombie and Volk Han went at it. Just when we thought Otsuka was just a spectator, he pulls down the top rope on Volk Han leading Volk Han to fall out of the ring. This raised the ire of the fans... not just against Otsuka, but against Abercrombie as well. Here was a guy they thought was a clean, fair wrestler... but now he shows himself to be a guy who would cheat to score a victory and a guy would try to beat the Tri-State Heavyweight Champion into an early retirement. And that's exactly what Abercrombie and Otsuka tried to do. When Han hit the floor, Abercrombie jumped down after him and started beating him on the outside of the ring. He must have lost track of the count because him and Han were both counted out.

(The final bell rang and Otsuka then started putting the boots to Volk Han. This went on for only a short time before MATT STRYKER ran out to make the save. He leveled Abercrombie and then nailed Otsuka. Both Abercrombie and Otsuka then backed off as Stryker checked on the Champion. Otsuka and Abercrombie, proud of what they had just done, left the ringside area with their hands raised and the fans against them. Matt Stryker helped Volk Han to his feet and waited for Han to gather his senses. Han then requested the microphone...)

Volk Han: (in a thick, Russian accent) It looks like... I owe you one... anytime... anywhere... you want a shot at my Tri-State Heavyweight Championship... you got it...

(The fans cheered at the announcement. Stryker nodded his head, but continued to help Han to the back. That is respect and we're damn proud to see that between two top class athletes. Next month is scheduled to be the Tag Team Titles Tournament, so be sure to check out the hotline for all the details!)

Cincinnati Pro Official Hotline
Updated October 22, 2005

After the extremely successful Collision Coarse show just two weeks ago, we have some disappointing news to report. Following his upsettling loss to Ken Shamrock, emotions ran high with Chris Leben. After contemplating his decision to become a professional wrestler, Chris Leben has decided to return to his mixed martial arts roots. Thus, after attempted negotiations, Leben has decided NOT to renew his contract and is no longer a part of Cincinnati Pro or professional wrsetling.

Also, when CP opened up, Shark Boy said he would help the promotion get off the ground. Well CP is definatly off the ground and rising quickly. Shark Boy has made the decision leave CP. We're not saying he is gone for good, but he is gone for now. Also, the tag team partner of Mike Awesome, Sean O'Haire has declined to renew his contract for reasons unknown. Awesome said O'Haire was unhappy with his place in the company, but we can only speculate.

Just two weeks from tonight, live from Peel's Palace in Florence, Kentucky, Cincinnati Pro will hold a one-night tag team tournament to crown the very first Cincinnati Pro Tag Team Champions. This will be an 8-team single elimination tournament. Teams already confirmed for the tournament are the Insane Clown Posse, the Headbangers, Vicious & Delicious, Jamie Noble & The Patriot, Strike Force, and the brand new duo of Alexander Otsuka & Josh Abercrombie! Two more teams are yet to be announced, but according to recent reports from the booking office, Chris Hero has thrown his name into the tournament. Whether or not he has a partner we have no idea. The final team has not been confirmed, but what we do know is that the team will be flying into Northern Kentucky from OUTSIDE of the U.S. We pride ourselves on our extensive international roster and we welcome the possibility of two more international stars with open arms.

At the end of Collision Course, Matt Stryker saved Volk Han from an attack by Josh Abercrombie & Alexander Otsuka. As a show of appreciation, Han has given Stryker the opportunity to win the Cincinnati Pro Tri-State Heavyweight Championship in two weeks. Stryker was quoted saying "I look forward to the opportunity and I can promise this... I will be bringing the best of me to that match and I will walk away the champion."

That's it for the update this week. Check back next week for a complete list of the tournament bracket and other matches for November 4, 2005 at Peel's Palace in Florence, Kentucky.

Cincinnati Pro Official Hotline
Last Updated October 29, 2005

Folks, we are just one week away from Tag Team Extraordinaire next Friday night at Peel's Palace in Florence, Kentucky! We have a HUGE update right now, so let's get into it...

All EIGHT teams for the Tag Team Championship Tournament have been confirmed with the exception of one person. The international team we alluded to last week consists of lucha libre stars Pierroth Jr. and Rayo De Jalisco Jr. The one person we have not confirmed yet is Chris Hero's partner. Apparently, Hero has no idea who his partner is going to be... Cincinnati Pro is assigning him one... but no word out of the Cincinnati Pro committee as to who it is! So at this point the tournament looks like this...

The Headbangers vs. Alexander Otsuka & Josh Abercrombie
Jamie Noble & The Patriot vs. Pierroth Jr. & Rayo De Jalisco Jr.
Chris Hero & a mystery partner vs. The Insane Clown Posse
Vicious & Delicious vs. Strike Force

This will be one hell of a tournament! But the tournament is not the only thing going down that night... IAN ROTTEN has issued a challenge to Hayabusa. Ian Rotten has suffered to pinfall defeats at the hands of Hayabusa... the first at Rise of the Champion as Hayabusa pinned him in the Four Corners Championship Match... the second just three weeks ago at Collision Course when Hayabusa pinned him in the eight-man tag team match. Ian Rotten has promised he will be there ALONE.. no other IWA-MS wrestlers... and he wants to settle this with Hayabusa once and for all. Hayabusa has accepted the challenge on the account that no IWA-MS wrestlers will be present.

HUGE NEWS!! DEAN MALENKO has contacted Cincinnati Pro and has asked permission to make a big announcement in our very ring! Of course Cincinnati Pro has obliged. As many people know, Malenko retired from wrestling and has been working as an agent for the WWE for the past few years. Is the announcement regarding the WWE, is it regarding WWE wrestlers such as Hardcore Holly and Al Snow working in Cincinnati Pro, is it regarding Dean Malenko himself? We have no idea! But we'll find out just one week from tonight! So join us November 4th at Peel's Palace in Florence, Kentucky for Tag Team Extraordinaire!

Confirmed for Tag Team Extraordinaire

Tag Team Championship Tournament
- The Headbangers vs. Alexander Otsuka & Josh Abercrombie
- Jamie Noble & The Patriot vs. Rayo De Jalisco Jr. & Pierroth Jr.
- Chris Hero & mystery partner vs. The Insane Clown Posse
