re: trial version / previous registration

This is probably something that has been covered elsewhere before, so excuse anything that is common knowledge to everyone else :)

A few years ago I bought/registered my copy of TNM7 (I don't remember the build or any other specific info - it was before all of this SE business! :P ). After a year or two, I kind of fell out of the whole wrestling thing, and as a result abandoned TNM as well. I deleted it from my computer, and no longer have any record of my registration info.

Yesterday while sitting around (I just got my wisdom teeth pulled  >:() I decided to pull out my N64 and play WWF No Mercy. I remembered how fun wrestling was/is, and I remembered how much I enjoyed simming around with TNM. So, I went to tnm7.com and downloaded a trial version of this new build SE thing  :P I basically wanted to just play around with the program some, not really remembering what it was like, and kind of get a feel for it again.

After installing it, I tried to run the program. A prompt came up that said "You turned back your clock!" (or something very similar). Now, whenever I run it, I am taken to the register screen and it says my trial is over (so I can quit or register, basically).

I understand this is a security feature in order to stop people from deleting the progam when the trial has expired and then reinstalling it. I would resend for my reg. info, but I no longer use the email address it was registered under (I could provide it, though, if that would help), nor do I have any record of my passwords (for the program or the TNM site).

So, is there anything that can be done short of registering again?

I believe that not only can Olly help you get your old registration info, but you can also download pre-SE TNM7 (I don't know the link, but Oliver posted it somewhere in the Help board recently).  Also, if you decided to step up to SE I'm pretty sure it still costs less to upgrade from TNM7 to TNM7SE that it would to just buy TNM7SE without any previous TNM7 purchases.

Either try e-mailing Oliver or you can wait till next time he's around the boards. :)

TNM7SE has to be purchased separately -- it wasn't a free upgrade from the original TNM 7. If you write directly to Oliver, he might be able to get you a new trial period, but don't count on it -- he's been loath to do it in the past.

As far as your e-mail address goes, I believe there's a link to change your e-mail address directly on the www.tnm7.de homepage that will update your info.

Ah, I see. I wasn't aware that SE was not a free upgrade. That sure makes a difference! I will try changing my email address and finding an old link somewhere.

Thanks guys!
