IWF Taping #7 on 2/15/06

Justin Credible and Psicosis defeated The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy)
when Credible defeated M. Hardy by disqualification in 0:10:54.
Rating: ** 3/4

----An exciting opening match came to a pretty dull ending when Justin Credibile pushed Matt Hardy into referee Tim Coughlin.  The ref only saw Hardy hitting himand when he finally came to, called for a disqualification in a match that the Hardyz had controlled most of the way.  After the Hardys returned to their locker rooms, Credible called out Psicosis in the middle of the ring, telling  him that he needs to be tougher.  And he is going to have to take him to NY
next week to toughen him up!!----

Juventud Guerrera defeated Johnny Nitro by disqualification in 0:15:37.
Rating: ***
[Melina interfered against Juventud Guerrera.]

----Melina ruined what was a great match between Juventud Guerrera and Johnny Nitro at every chance she got.  Finally, Juvy had Nitro finished, and went up
to the top.  Melina pushed him off, and was caught in the process, thus having Nitro disqualified.  After the DQ Juvy chased Melina around the ring until Joey Matthews ran out for the save, the two beat down Juvy until Blitzkrieg came out from the back to make the save for him.----

Muhammad Hassan pinned Taz after a kick to the head in 0:08:51.
Rating: **
[Shawn Daivari interfered against Taz.]

----Going into the World Title Tournament, Muhammad Hassan picked up a nice win over Taz.  Although, as always, it didn't come without interference.  Shawn
Daivari made his way down to the ring half way through the match and proved enough a distraction over the course of the match that Hassan was able to squeakout the win with a Kick to Taz's head, then a holding of the ropes.----

----After the match, Commissioner Greenberg came out and promised an update on the status of Ken Shamrock at the end of the night.----

Submission Match:
William Regal made Steve Corino submit to the Regal Stretch in 0:16:33.
Rating: *** 1/4

----William Regal picked up a submission victory against Steve Corino in a special attraction submission match.  The two wrestled a very European style match with
lots of counters and reversals.  The fans, surprisingly, were very into this match, as it appears Regal has been building quite the following around the IWF,or people just dislike Steve Corino that much.----

Stevie Richards defeated Shawn Daivari by disqualification in 0:16:20.
Rating: ** 1/2
[Muhammad Hassan interfered against Stevie Richards.]

----As expected, Muhammad Hassan wanted to make a statement.  After defeating Taz earlier in the evening and becoming irate at the announcement by Commish
Greenberg regarding an update on Ken Shamrock, Hassan ran in on this match between Daivari and Richards. Hassan laid out Richards with a chair, and he and Daivari continued the beating until THE MASKED MAN made the save for Richards.  Although it appeared to be part of an even more elaborate trap. After the masked man got to the ring, Raven and Vampiro came out from the back,
and the 4 men beat on Stevie and the Masked Man.  When they were both out cold, Raven paid off Hassan and Daivari and they left.  Then Vampiro went to go removethe Masked Man's mask, to which, for some crazy reason, Raven stopped him. After a stare down between Raven and Vampiro, the two finally shook hands and
retreated to their Locker Room for their upcoming match.----

Blitzkrieg pinned Joey Matthews after an Asai moonsault in 0:04:57.
Rating: ***

----Short and Sweet.  Thats all that can be said of this encounter.  Blitzkrieg and Joey Matthews entertained the fans in 5 minutes of solid action with tons of high spots.  Both men are looking to get on some sort of streak, and this seems a good way to start for Blitzkrieg.----

Shane Helms and The Patriot defeated Vampiro and Raven when Patriot pinned
Vampiro with the Uncle Slam in 0:14:54.
Rating: *** 3/4
[The Masked Man interfered against Raven.]

----Shane Helms and The Patriot got an unlikely assist in winning their match against Vampiro and Raven.  After a ref bump, Test, Hassan and Daivari made their way out to the ring and began to attack Helms and Patriot.  At that point, the arena lights went dark, and a purple strobe light ran through the arena.  THE MASKED MAN came out of the back and took out Daivari, and Vampiro as Hassan, and Test fled to the back.  Finally, Raven, who had fled to ringside when the man came out, returned back to the ring.  He and the Masked Man had an intense staredown and you could finally see some differences between the two men.  Raven stood an inchor two smaller than the Masked Man and looked to be giving up maybe 20 lbs.  Thetwo men then began going Punch for Punch and fought all the way up the ramp and in to the Locker Room.----

William Regal and Stevie Richards put on an AMAZING showing in this 13 man Battle Royal to earn the final spot in the World Title Tournament NEXT WEEK. Regal eliminated 4 men, while Richards eliminated 5, and that one man was the difference.  In less than a minute span, Richards and Regal helped each other out tossing Taz, Daivari and Matt Hardy.  When the two were left in the ring with Test the crowd errupted.  The two men beat on Test for a good two minutes before finally tossing him over the top rope.  Then, after a standing ovation, Richards and Regal finally went at it with Richards besting the english man.  Test, who was still on the outside of the ring charged back in armed with a chair, he was joined by Hassan and Daivari who took out the two men, busting
them both upon in the process.  This brought out the Commissioner.

Interview:
SHAMROCK?

----The commish came to ring side and Hassan, Daivari and Test tossed Richards and Regal out of the ring to hear what he had to say.

The commissioner announced that not only would Ken Shamrock be back for next weeks World Title tournament, and the fan who had threatened to sue Shamrock, had lifted the complaint, thus his ban had no been lifted!!  With that, Commissioner Greenberg's next words were "Oh yeah, Hassan, meet your first round opponent"  And out from the crowd came Ken Shamrock, steel chair in tow, clearing the three men from the ring to an amazing response from the crowd.----

Card rating: *** 1/2

Too bad for the Hardyz... I'm lookiong forward to a rematch soon.

Glad that Stevie qualified in the battle royal. You can be sure the Masked Man will be after Raven in the first round of the tournament.

Sounds like the Masked Man may be Tommy Dreamer. But it's just a guess I'm allowed to be wrong.

Another hot show.... Keep it up!
