GWF Show 12:  Hardcore Christmas

cerberosPosted on 04/06/05 at 04:23:30

Results of Hardcore Christmas Show 12:

Hardcore Christmas opens up with Randy Savage taking on Blitzkrieg.  Savage had his ribs taped up and Blitz went right for them with a series of kicks.  Blitz used all kinds of high flying moves, flying clotheslines, missile dropkicks, top rope sentons and planchas.  Savage wouldn't stay down however.  He came back and grounded Blitz.  He was on a roll when he went for a clothesline but Blitz countered with a crucifix for a huge upset!

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Blitzkrieg pinned Randy Savage after a crucifix in 0:12:05.
Rating: *****

Savage nearly broke down in the ring as he couldn't believe it.  Blitzkrieg ran into the crowd and celebrated.  Savage looked up as if to say why.  As he made his way to the back he passed Pretty Wonderful who were coming out for their match against the Brain Busters.  Roma laughed at Savage who just kept walking.

This match, even though under hardcore rules, didn't see any of the usual hardcore stuff used.  It was just four men beating the living hell out of each other.  Roma tired to use his agility and speed against the mat wrestlers but that didn't work.  Arn and Tully worked over Roma's knee at different times.  However when it was all said and done it was the experience of Orndorff that won it for Pretty Wonderful.  The Busters hit Roma with the Spiked Piledriver and Orndorff quickly tossed Tully to the floor.  Anderson went for a Spinebuster but Orndorff floated over.  He then hit a kick to the midsection and followed that up with his patented Piledriver.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Pretty Wonderful (Paul Orndorff and Paul Roma) defeated The Brain Busters (Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson) when Orndorff pinned Anderson with the Piledriver in 0:09:28.
Rating: **** 1/2

Out next match was a massacre.  Lance Hoyt, who debuted last month, was a lamb led to slaughter.  Vader destroyed him and seemingly enjoyed it.  Hoyt hit a Big Boot and that was about it.  Vader hit all his usual moves including his inverted powerbomb and his normal powerbomb.  He then finished Hoyt off with his Vader Bomb.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Big Van Vader pinned Lance Hoyt with the Vader Bomb in 0:03:26.

Next we watch as Mikey Whipwreck's career continues it's yo-yo act.  El Dandy, who does have a victory over one world champion, just got another as he defeated Mikey Whipwreck.  Whipwreck seemed lost in the ring and it showed.  He just wasn't on.  He missed a flying elbow and Dandy quickly rolled him up for the win.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
El Dandy pinned Mikey Whipwreck with a rollup in 0:04:14.
Rating: ***

Our next match was quite possibly a preview of next months match between Cactus Jack and Muhammad Hassan.  Jack beat the living hell out of Nowinski.  Nowinski was a bloody mess before it was all said and done.  Jack hit his Double Arm DDT on the floor followed by his elbow from apron.  In the ring Jack hit his running knee in the corner before ending it with is Double Arm DDT.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Cactus Jack pinned Christopher Nowinksi with the Double Arm DDT in 0:08:33.

Jack:  BANG BANG!  Hassan, your days are numbered.  I know you are in the back getting ready for your match but guess what?  Santa came early to my house and gave me your present.  PAIN PAIN PAIN!  BANG BANG!

Suddenly from behind the Sandman's mysterious man in black attacks Jack with a steel bat.  Jack goes down like a ton of bricks.  The man in black again leaves as quickly as he showed up.  From the back out comes Hassan and Daivari.  Hassan locks in the Camel Clutch as Daivari screams in the face of the unconcious Cactus Jack.  This brings out The Sandman, face partially bandaged from last months fireball.  The duo exchange rights and lefts when we hear from the ring announcer that we are going to have our world title match right now!

From the back out comes Mikey Whipwreck, Terry Funk and the Dudley's to help Cactus Jack.  Muhammad Hassan continues to win here in the GWF but quite often with some help from someone.  This time it was the man in black.  Early on the Sandman used his hardcore history to decimate Hassan.  He was thrown around and bloodied before he came back with a low blow.  Hassan came back with a modified STO for a near fall.  He then locked in the Camel Clutch but The Sandman fought out.  He rammed Hassan in the buckle and grabbed his trusty cane.  Hassan jumped at this moment to twist the Sandman's bandage.  Hassan went for his STO again but the Sandman just gave him a low blow.  He then went on to cane the living hell out of Hassan.  From the crowd out came the man in black.  He attacked the Sandman from behind.  He tried to hit the Sandman with his bat but missed and was hit with a White Russian Legsweep.   The Sandman then ripped the mask off only to reveal Sabu.  The Sandman was shocked and it cost him as Hassan hit a Cobra Clutch Slam.  He then locked in the Camel Clutch.  The Sandman refused to tap out but finally passed out.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Muhammad Hassan defeated The Sandman when The Sandman passed out in a camel clutch in 0:18:38.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Muhammad Hassan retained the GWF Heavyweight Title.)
[Khosrow Daivari interfered against The Sandman.]
[Sabu interfered against The Sandman.]

Hassan:  Here he is Foley.  One of the few men you have NEVER beat.  You can't beat me and he taught him how to beat you.  I don't fear you or the pain you claim to be bringing.  Next month I will beat you Mick Foley or Cactus Jack or Mankind or Dude Love or whatever you want to call yourself.  Next month I will make sure that you never EVER WRESTLE AGAIN!!

Sabu, Hassan and Daivari walk out as the Sandman just lays in the ring.  Finally he gets to his feet and the fans gave him a standing ovation.  He then points to the sky ala Sabu and storms to the back.

In a match that we have seen before Edge and Christian took on the Powers of Pain.  This was a wild match that went all over the building.  However as they were in the ring the Barbarian missed his Kick of Fear and hit the Warlord.  That set him up for the Edgecution and the quick pinfall.

Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Edge and Christian defeated The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian and Warlord) when
Edge pinned Warlord with the Edgecution in 0:05:01.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Edge and Christian retained the GWF Tag Team Titles.)

E&C went to the back laughing as the Powers of Pain, along with Bobby Heenan, argued in the ring.  Heenan tried to get in between the two men but they both shoved him.  Heenan finally just watched as the PoP actually broke down.  The two men came to blows and the fans loved it.  From the back out comes El Dandy, Villiano IV, Mikey Whipwreck, The Bushwhackers, and several agents to break it up.  However they are just thrown around by the PoP.  Finally the Brain Busters came out and drug the Barbarian to the back as the Warlord stood in the ring.

The Dudley Boys, Taka and Funaki came out and looked ready to fight when out came Eric Bischoff.

Bischoff:  Sorry to both you fine folks but next month is our first anniversary.  I wanted to let you all know that it will be the biggest, best show the GWF has put on yet!  Just a few of the matches include Muhammad Hassan taking on Cactus Jack.  Sting will debut and face off with former foe Big Van Vader.  Also we have The Dudley Boys taking on the Road Warriors and just signed the debut of Sabu facing off with the Sandman.  Now lets get to the main event, eight man tag team elimination action.

This was a flash back to ECW and it was wild.  There was so much action that I couldn't even begin to tell it all to you.  For nearly 25 minutes these eight men fought.  Teams were eliminated together in this match.  The first elimination came after the 3D from the Dudley's.  However they let Taka get the win over Hawk with a flying elbow.  The next elimination came when the Road Warriors ran back out and hit D-Von in the head with their spiked wrist guards.  This knocked him right back into a German suplex from Gibson for the pinfall.  In the end it was the unlikely team of Taka and Funaki getting the win.  Funaki took both himself and Ricky Morton over the top with a flying crossbody.  In the ring Gibson went for a suplex but Taka floated over and hit the Michinoku Driver for the huge win.

Elimination No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
The Dudley Boys (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley), Funaki and Taka Michinoku  beat The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) and Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) 2 falls to 1:

Blitz upsetting Savage in a 5* encounter. This win should put Blitz very high in the rankings considering Savage has been a main player in GWF recently. The defeat obviously weighed heavy on Savage's mind, but damn Paul Roma laughed in his face. So disrespectful.

The Brain Busters' Spike Piledriver has nothing on Orndorff's Piledriver. I was glad Roma got his ass handed to him for that show of disrespect towards Savage, but sad to see the Busters on the losing end tonight. Great match, though.

Poor Lance Hoyt. He was absolutely dominated by the former champion, Vader. Vader just recently made his debut in my promotion, Cincinnati Pro. Maybe he will have the same kind of luck he has had in GWF.

Had Mikey been on top of his game him and Dandy could have put on one hell of a high flying contest. But alas, not everyone can be on and Mikey certainly was not tonight.

The hardcore legend that is Cactus Jack takes down the hardcore wanna-be Christopher Nowinski. The man in black strikes once again... he has got to be a hitman for Hassan.

SABU! SABU! SABU!! SABU is the mystery attacker!?! Was it him all along? Or was it just him at this moment? Was he the same masked man that attacked Cactus? In any case, the shock factor was enough to put Sandman out of his game and Hassan picks up the win yet again with help from someone on the outside.

E&C keep the tag titles, but the real story is PoP fighting each other! This is bad news. The two of these guys will tear each other apart... but it appears that this is what everyone wants to see. Warlord vs. Barbarian would be BRUTAL!

Amazing! The team of Funaki & Taka lasted throughout the entire match and were the surviving team. I'm surprised the Road Warriors were even eliminated as I had guessed them to win, but it was not so. Congratulations to Taka & Funaki as this win gives them a title shot at next month's card.

The upcoming card looks amazing... the marquee match between Cactus & Hassan will be great, Sandman trying to get revenge against Sabu, Warlord AGAINST Barbarian... will Heenan be at ringside? And if so, in who's corner? Top to bottom, looks like the show is going to be killer.

Just starting reading your stuff and I like it a lot.  Seems similiarly booked to how I run the IWF, even with people getting fireballed.

I like Sabu with Hassan and Daivari, have you thought of a name for them yet?

I also like the mix of old school and new school with E & C and the powers of Pain.  Warlord vs. Barbarian should be real cool, its one of those matches that if they were in the WWE today would have happened after they broke up.

Are you booking Taka and Funaki their Kai En Tai days, or are they a comedy team?

Taking a quick look at  New YEars Brawl, I gotta like Hassan to solidify himself as a bad ass champ.  Cactus doesn't need to go over to remain scary.  It remind me  of the Cactus/Trips HIAC match.  Both men will probably be bloody but Hassan may outlast.  Dudleys/Warriors is a match of two of the best teams in their prime.

I do have another question though, why would you spoil Meng's debut and New Jack being the mystery person in your match schedule?

I look forward to reading more, check out the IWF.  You will need to see a few cards to get the latest storylines.

I assume he keeps notes on what matches he is going to book and what stuff to have happen during those matches and he just accidentally pasted those into his posting w/o realizing his notations were included as well.

DAMN!!  Yeah I always do that and then usually I erase it before posting.  Damn it all to hell!!!  Or maybe I am just using that to confuse you....yeah thats the ticket.  Now when that doesn't happen you will be confused...yeah  ;)  Oh well, it is still a good card even knowing a few of my surprises.

As for a name of the Sabu/Hassan/Daivari triangle I don't know if I will use them as a group long.  To let you in on a booking secret here...the man in black came out of me not using a match involving the Sandman and that man continually interfering against him.  So I had to cover this by using the man in black.  I liked it so I continued it.  I just picked Sabu because he would fit in with Hassan and them.  Was he the only man in black however?  Only the shadow knows!  MUHAHAHAHAHAAH!
jekyll316Posted on 04/06/05 at 23:36:59

You gotta bring him in as Haku
