IWF Taping #6 on 2/8/06

Interview:
Raven admits to trying to hit Stevie.

----Nothing like breaking the suspense early.  As the show started, Raven sauntered out to the ring and freely admitted that he was the one trying to hit Stevie
Richards. Raven brought up their past, about how Stevie was always his lackey,
and Raven finally rid himself of Stevie when he went to TNA.  Then, when he
signed on with the IWF, he had no idea Stevie was part of the roster.  From the
minute he saw Stevie, all he had in mind was taking him out.  Stevie, Raven saidwas the one that always held him back.  No one wanted to give Raven a chance,
with Stevie Richards tagging along, because Stevie was embarrassing.  This
brought out Stevie Richards, and he and Raven began brawling.  The bell rang
and their Tables Match began.----

Table Match:
Raven defeated Stevie Richards by putting him through a table in 0:17:07.
Rating: ** 1/2

----Raven picked up the win in this table match, but the excitement began after the
bell rang.  Raven, who was still all pumped from his earlier interview, began
putting Stevie through more tables.  First it was a DDT, then a Pile Driver.
Finally Raven brought the steps into the ring, placed them under a table, so
that when Stevie went through, he would smash into the steps, with nothing
breaking his fall.  It was then The Masked Man came running out, Raven
intercepted him and the two stood face to face, they were about the same size
with a very similiar build, the two just stared and stared, Raven wouldn't hit
him, and he would not hit Raven.  Then, running out of the back came Vampiro
who attacked the Masked Man from behind, Raven finally joined in, and then, the
two tried ripping off his mask, as the mask was being ripped the lights went outWhen they came back on, Stevie and the Masked Man were no where to be found, andRaven and Vampiro stood in the middle of the ring holding the mask.----

No-Time-Limit-Four Corners Ladder Match:
Johnny Nitro defeated Jeff Hardy, Joey Matthews and Matt Hardy in 0:25:05.
Rating: ** 3/4

----Johnny Nitro is the 4th combatant in the World Title Tournament.  Probably the
most unlikely pick to win the match, Nitro put on a great performance to join
Shamrock, Vampiro, and Raven in the World Title tournament.  The first twenty
minutes of this match were basically a tag team encounter, then with both Matt
and Jeff knocked out, Joey went for the belt, but Johnny Nitro stopped him.
The next 5 minutes saw all four men block their teammates, as well as their
"opponents" from the contract.----

----In the Back, the drawing for the Main Event was held.
The first three names pulled would team up.  The first name was.... Test
The second name was.... Taz.  So who would be number three.  It turned out to beShawn Daivari.  While Daivari was excited he didn't have to be on the same team
as Helms or Patriot, they then realized that Hassan would have to team with
them.  Hassan exploded, and went on a rampage all over his locker room.----

Interview:
Ken Shamrock update.

----Commisioner Greenberg joined us in the ring and informed the fans that Ken
Shamrock would be out of action til AT LEAST the World Title Tournament, maybe
even later.  The commish did say he had some good news though.  He had spoken
to lawyers about drawing up a contract to reverse the decision about Ken
Shamrock not being able to touch Test, Hassan, or Daivari.  He said it would
take a few weeks for the decision to be made.  This brought out the Trio who
already were having a terrible night, and they vowed to fight this.----

Justin Credible and Psicosis defeated
Billy And Chuck (Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo) when Psicosis pinned B. Gunn
after a sunset flip in 0:19:19.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Justin Credible and Psicosis retained the IWF World Tag Team Titles.)

----Psicosis and Justin Credible retained the Tag Team titles with a little help.
There had been rumors all week that Billy & Chuck had been causing problems in
the locker room since they arrived in the federation.  As the match drew to a
close, it appeared Billy & Chuck would win the titles.  Then, from the back,
came Raven, Vampiro, Blitzkrieg, Juventud, and Regal.  Jason, sensing something
was up, distracted the ref, and the 5 men beat the piss out of Billy & Chuck.
Jazz finished things off with two low blows.  The 5 men then began to beat on
each other, for no real reason, as the ref got distracted with that.  Two
chairshots and a sunset flip later, the champions retained their titles.
Justin, Psicosis, Jazz and Jason then dragged Billy & Chuck out of the arena,
and literally threw them out the door.

No-Time-Limit-Match:
Muhammad Hassan, Shane Helms and The Patriot defeated
Taz, Test and Shawn Daivari when Patriot made Daivari submit to a full nelson
in 0:08:16.
Rating: ** 3/4

----Hassan, Helms and The Patriot all earned their spot in the World Title
tournament, but it wasn't easy.  The three did not co-exist at all.  The match
started out as a 3 on 2 Handicapped til Hassan finally made his way out to the
ring.  With Taz taken out by his Teammate Test, Daivari held Helms, and once
again tried for a sledgehammer shot.  Helms ducked and as Hassan connected with
Daivari, the ref, whose attention had been turned to the Taz/Test fiasco, turned
around to see a knocked out Daivari in a full nelson by the Patriot who had
caught him after the sledgehammer shot.  Helms took out Hassan and the rest
was history.  After Test saw what happened, he jumped in the ring and took out
Helms and Patriot with 2 big boots.  Whether or not Patriot and Helms realize itthey have just helped Hassan earn a berth in the World TItle tournament----

Card rating: ** 3/4

NEXT WEEK:

**13 man Battle Royal for the final spot in the World Title Tournament

**Helms & Patriot vs. Raven & Vampiro

**Justin Credible & Psicosis vs. Matt & Jeff Hardy (Non-Title)

**Blitzkrieg vs. Joey Matthews

**Juvy Guerrera vs. Johnny Nitro

**William Regal vs. Steve Corino

Very nice job with the mystery man storyline advancement.

I also liked the four corner match that ended up with tag partners screwing each other over in the process of acquiring a potential shot at the World title.

Nice luck of the draw putting Daivari & Hassan on opposing sides, especially with Hassan teaming with The Patriot. And from the sound of that announcement from Commish Greenberg, the main event isnt the only thing they gotta worry about.

good lord - what a clusterf*ck during that tag title match.

Love the ending of the main event - wonder how Patriot & Helms are gonna deal with the idea they just put Hassan a step ahead in the tournament.

I love the whole Raven/Stevie thing. But who is the Masked Man? I'm beating my brains trying to figure it out.

Are Billy & Chuck officially gone now? Or was their being thrown out just a symbol for their loss?

I like the way you had Patriot, Helms & Hassan qualify for the tourney too.

Kepp up the good work.

They're done.  Good riddance I say.

Yeah, I should get a card out tonight or maybe tomorrow, some shockign stuff gonna take place.

The mystery man, well, there are a few options as to who it could be, hopefully they will be a little more clear soon.
