IWF Taping #4 on 1/25/06

Interview:
Shawn Daivari and Hassan announce tonight's guest referee and new info on Ken Shamrock.

---Daivari and Hassan opened thes whow with a quite a surprise.  First off, they
announced that Test would be the guest referee for their match tonight against
Shane Helms & The Patriot.   Daivari and Hassan were joined by police officer
around ringside after they announced that Ken Shamrock is unable to touch them.
The reason being is that a fan, who Shamrock threw out of the way to get to
Daivari last week, threatened to file a lawsuit against Shamrock and the IWF.
Hassan & Daivari struck a deal with the commissioner that as long as the fan
did not file suit (they would pay him off) Ken Shamrock could not touch them.
The board of directors had a meeting and agreed this would be the best method.
So now, Ken Shamrock is not allowed to touch Daivari, Hassan or Test!---

Blitzkrieg pinned Chuck Palumbo with the Stardust Press in 0:12:55.
Rating: ** 1/2

---**JUSTIN AND PSICOSIS GO TO MEXICO, PART I*

After the Blitzkrieg match, we went to video of Justin Credible and Psicosis,
along with Nicole Bass, Jason, and Jazz in a bar in Mexico.  Credible, sans the
Psicosis costume, and Psicosis, in full wrestling garb, were in Mexico so
Psicosis could show Justin the mexican heritage, if he plans on wearing the
costume.  After a few drinks too many, a few locals started getting into it withNicole Bass and Jazz, making the obvious jokes.  One thing lead to another, and
a fight broke out, and the 5 were dragged out of the bar.  MORE ON THEIR TRIP
coming up!----

Taz pinned Steve Corino after a German suplex in 0:08:33.
Rating: ***

---Taz continued his great performances by defeating Steve Corino in a 3 star
encounter.  Taz has been on fire, ok, maybe a bad choice of words given the pastcouple of weeks.  But since Taz's tag partner in the tournament, Ken Shamrock
was burned by Hassan & Daivari, Taz has been a man on mission.---

*STEVIE TV*

---After the match, the video monitor showed Billy & Chuck in the back with Stevie
Richards.  Billy & Chuck made a proposition to Stevie, involving activities thatwould make anyone blush.  A disgusted Stevie ran out of the room, with Billy &
Chuck promising to make him scream after the next match.---

Stevie Richards pinned Billy Gunn with the Stevie-T in 0:09:07.
Rating: ** 1/2

---After pulling out the win against Billy Gunn, Stevie Richards was in for the
freight of his life.  After the match, Chuck Palumbo made his way out to the
ring with a stun gun.   Palumbo stunned Richards, then dragged him outside the
ring, and put him in an uncomfortable position over the ring steps.  As Billy
came out to do god knows what, THE MASKED MAN ran out and made the save for
Stevie!  That was too close....---

---*PSICOSIS AND JUSTIN GO TO MEXICO, PART II*

On the monitor we joined the 5-some (Justin, Psicosis, Jazz, Jason, Nicole Bass)after they had been kicked out of the bar.  Ironically, walking by was a young
lad who had a 1997 WWF magazine with pictures of Justin as Aldo Montoya.  The
young lad, who was joined by a friend, began to mock Credible about wrestling
with a jock strap on his head, when Credible and Psicosis made their move to
attack.  Only they were in for a surprise, and not whats in Nicole Bass's pants. As they charged the lads, they were double superkicked in the knees.  Turns out
the two were Mexican Midget Wrestlers.  Mexican police than showed up and
arrested the five for the bar brawl, and trying to attack the midgets.---

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) defeated
M-N-M (Joey Matthews and Johnny Nitro) when J. Hardy pinned J. Matthews
after the Hardy Bomb in 0:24:08.
Rating: *** 1/4
[Melina interfered against Matt Hardy.]

---The Hardy Boyz finally had their chance at revenge against M-N-M, whose brutal
attack had taken them out of the finals of the IWF Tag Tournament.  And they
took advantage, defeating them, while fighting off Melina's constant
interference, in what was easily the match of the night so far.---

Juventud Guerrera and William Regal defeated Vampiro and Raven when W. Regal
defeated Raven via pinfall in 0:14:45.
Rating: ***

---Juvy & Regal pulled off a nice win against the team of Vampiro and Raven, in a
solid match.---

---*PSICOSIS AND JUSTIN GO TO MEXICO, PART 3*

While in prison, Justin and Psicosis were surprisingly joined by Mil Mascaras.
Mil, a legend in Mexico sat Justin down and explained the tradition of Lucha
and Mexican wrestling, and what is expected of him as the newest masked wrestlerPsicosis listened intently, excited that Justin had this opportunity.  The threemen were released at the same time, but Justin, Psicosis and their crew had beendeported out of
Mexico.  Mil followed them to the airport to say goodbye.  While at the airport,Mil cracked one too many jokes about Aldo Montoya, and Justin Credible has
enough and finally superkicked Mil through a store window.  As they boarded the
plane, Justin commented how much he hated Mexico, and that he would take Psicosis to his neighborhood in New York in the coming weeks.----

Match with Special Referee Test:
Muhammad Hassan and Shawn Daivari defeated Shane Helms and The Patriot when
M. Hassan defeated Helms when Helms passed out in a cobra clutch in 0:20:57.
Rating: *** 1/2

---This was a mugging, plain and simple, a long drawn out mugging.  Commisioner
Greenberg warned Test not to cross the line here, and he abided, for the first
15 minutes.  Then Test took out The Patriot with a chair as Daivari and Hassan
went to work on Helms back.  Commish Greenberg came out to try and restore some
action, but he was laid out with a chair as well.  The beating continued and
Helms was knocked unconscious, and Hassan locked in the Cobra Clutch just for
good measure, and Test checked to make sure the arms dropped three times for
no good reason.  After the match officially ended, the three continued their
beat down on Helms and The Patriot as the show signed off.----

I am going to wait a bit before posting future cards.  I would love some feedback on the first four events, ideas, etc.  This has been a lot of fun to do so far, I hope its enjoyable for whoever is reading.

Any ideas for a name, not the un-americans, for Hassan, Daivari, and Test?

Look forward to hearing some comments.

I'm enjoying IWF a lot so far. I've got a soft spot for Rick's Old School Rules because I used them myself for my old NDW circuit and had a great time with them. Looking at the length of this, I believe it could have easily fit into just one post, but no big deal. I definately agree that you should slow down your posting of cards - really, one a day tops is plenty, and the more often you post your cards, the less likely you are to get feedback on each, if you see what I'm saying.

I like your roster. You've got quite a few talented guys under contract, but not so many top quality workers that you get a half dozen ****+ matches on every show. I like that - it's realistic. Test makes a fairly good hoss for your promotion, although you can't forget that Billy and Chuck are both almost as big as him.

The JC&P Go To Mexico segments were excellent goofy fun, and they did their job of putting more heat on that impromptu pairing quite nicely. Can't wait to see what happens when they go to New York.

As for Test, Hassan and Daivari's stable name... well, if you wanted to be horribly stereotypical and goofy, you could call them the Magic Carpet Club. I'm sensing that you probably want something a little more serious, though. Guess it depends on whether you're trying to play up Hassan and company as angry Arabs, or angry Arab Americans. In the former case, something like Al Fatwah might work. In the latter, you could always call them the Arab Non Defamation League.

Finally, one of the best ways to get comments is to comment in other people's circuits.  It's not a guarantee, but it makes it more likely, I think.

I like the IWF too. I'm using a varied version of Rick's Old School Rules for NWA: West Coast as well.

The Steve Richards/Masked Man thing has my atention.. I can't wait to see who it plays out to be.

I like the whole "Un-Americans" vs Team Patriot angle too. Its a good traditional hook.

The JC/Psicosis storyline is pretty cool too. But I don't like using Nicole Bass with him anymore, just because she overshadows the enforcer type presence Jazz can bring.

All in all good job.
