Results of Guts and Glory Show 11:

Guts and Glory kicks off with Blitzkrieg heading to the ring and he has the mic.

Blitz:  Lately I have been on a bit of a slid but that is about to change.  I am issuing an open challenge because I can beat anyone in the locker room and that is a fact.  So anyone with the guts come on down.

Well a big someone had the guts as the massive Viscera comes out.  Blitz was ready and attacked as he got through the ropes.  He hit several dropkicks rocking the big man but on the fifth attempt he was swatted away.  Vis then tossed the masked superstar around like a ragdoll.  Vis however could not finish the man off.  Vis hit his Embalmer double chokeslam but didn't go for the cover.  Instead he went to the middle rope for a splash that would end the career of Blitz.  Blitz however managed to move and Vis hit hard.  Blitz quickly went to the top and hit the Stardust Press for the win.

Blitzkrieg pinned Viscera with the Stardust Press in 0:09:54.

After the match Blitz was about to celebrate when the Road Warriors music hit.  Blitz quickly left the ring and exited through the crowd.  In the ring Vis got to his feet and was hit with a double clothesline that sent him over the top.

Animal:  Enough of this crap.  We know they are in the back, so come on out here Dudley's.

The Dudley's music hits as they come out.

Hawk:  Now we didn't bring you out here to fight tonight.  Tonight we want you to watch what we can do.  You see you are from the "attitude" era of wrestling.  Well we went out and found a couple of the hottest stars in the business.

Animal:  We wanted you two right here at ringside to see what you are getting yourselves into.  Ladies and gentleman, welcome Michael Shane and Kazarian!

The duo get a pretty good ovation coming out.  In what the Warriors wanted to be a simple squash turned into a very competitive match.  Early on the Warriors used their superior strength to throw around the smaller men.  However Shane hit a vicious superkick on Hawk knocking him out and making this basically a handicap match.  With the odds on their side the smaller men went to work on Animal.  They hit several nice double team moves including a superkick/legsweep combo for near falls.  Finally Hawk came too and Animal made the tag.  Hawk beat both men down and tagged Animal back in to hit Kazarian with the Doomsday Device for the win.

The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) defeated Michael Shane and Kazarian when
Hawk pinned Kazarian after the Doomsday Device in 0:14:24.

The fans were on their feet for this match as many though that the youngsters were going to pull out the upset.  The Road Warriors helped them to their feet only to clothesline them back down.  They got a few stomps in until the Dudley's hit the ring from their ringside seats.  The Warriors quickly left before any physical confrontation.

Bubba:  Yeah it takes a couple of big men to do what you just did.

D-Von:  Well since you showed what you can do I guess we will have to do the same.  We found a team that you guys know pretty well.  Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back the Rock N Roll Express.

Much like the last match, it wasn't a cake walk.  The RNR have been around too long to take the Dudley's lightly.  There was really never a point where either team had the decisive advantage.  Lots of tags in this one to keep the fresh man in.  The end the RNR hit D-Von with their Double Dropkick and seemed to be setting up Bubba but he was ready.  He just stepped or more like stumbled back and they hit nothing.  Bubba quickly gave Robert his Bubba cut.  They then hit Ricky with 3D for the win.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) defeated Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) when Bubba pinned R. Morton after the 3D in 0:16:18.
Rating: *****

The fans again gave both teams a standing ovation.  The Dudley's helped the Express to their feet only to be shoved away.  The Express stormed to the back as the Dudley's celebrated.

Next out came Eric Bischoff.

Bischoff:  Welcome to Guts and Glory.  Tonight we have Randy Savage challenging for the GWF Heavyweight Title and I have decided that after their victory last month that Pretty Wonderful will get a title shot against Edge and Christian.  Also I want to announce that next month we will be having a Hardcore Christmas.  Tonight we will find out who will face the champion.  It will be either The Sandman or Big Van Vader.

Suddenly the champs music hits as Muhammad Hassan comes out looking extremely pissed out.

Hassan:  How is it that Vader continues to get chances at my title.  How many times do I have to beat him!  As far as the Sandman is concerned he doesn't even belong in the same building as me.  He is a drunk and dangerous in the ring.  Plus I don't even celebrate Christmas.  It isn't right to call it a Christmas show as not everyone celebrates that commercialized holiday.  I guess this is just another act of discrimination against my people.

Bischoff:  Mr. Hassan, I am in no way discriminating against you.  As for Mr. Vader's chances he is a former champion and the championship committee feels that a few of your wins have been tainted shall we say.  The last thing I am going to say is that the Sandman is always in condition to wrestler or I wouldn't allow him to go out to my ring.  Quite frankly Mr. Hassan as much as I respect you in the ring I am sick and tired of you coming out here and complaining.  Oh I forgot to mention one thing, at Hardcore Christmas all matches will be contested under hardcore rules.  No DQ and no countout...oh and falls count anywhere.

Hassan:  This is crazy!  This month I have a washed up has been in Randy Savage.  Next month I have to have some barbaric hardcore match with a fat bastard or a drunk.  Then if I survive that I have to then face a lunatic in Cactus Jack in a street fight!  Bischoff I will not stand for this much longer.

Hassan throws down his mic and storms to the back while Daivari follows screaming in Arabic at Bischoff.

El Dandy has gone from upset to being upset in some people's eye as the "King of Hardcore", who has demanded all his matches be hardcore matches.  This wasn't very hardcore as only a chair was used.  Dandy seemed set to win but missed a plancha.  Nowinski grabbed a chair and dented it over Dandy's head.  He then hit his Full Nelson Slam for the win.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Christopher Nowinksi pinned El Dandy with the Full Nelson Slam in 0:11:16.
Rating: ** 3/4

Nowinksi:  I told you all that I am the King of Hardcore.  I am the true Hardcore Legend.

Suddenly Cactus Jack's music hit.

Jack:  You, a Hardcore Legend?  THAT MAKES ME SICK!  Where are your scars?  What body parts are you missing?  What bones have you broke!  People like you make me sick to my damn stomach.  You walk around talking about how hard it is when you have never worked a real day in your life.  You have had everything given to you and now you say you are hardcore.  Well I will show you just what hardcore is next month.  I am the King of the Deathmatch but next month at Hardcore Christmas I will just beat the [BLEEP] out of you!  BANG BANG!

Nowinski nearly broke down when he learned that next month it will be the self proclaimed King of Hardcore taking on the King of the Deathmatch.

Mikey Whipwreck's yo yo ride in the GWF continued as he defeated Villano V.  There wasn't much in this match.  Villano was in control when the official took a stray elbow by accident.  Mikey then used his trusty fireball and threw it in his face for the quick win.

Mikey Whipwreck pinned Villano V with his special move in 0:03:32.
Rating: * 1/4

Some of the fans actually booed Mikey as he left the ring and the place really exploded into boos as E&C came out for their title defense.  This was a classic tag team match with lots of tags, double team moves and saves.  Must like the earlier tag matches neither team dominated.  The tag team division is so competitive right now that it is amazing that E&C have managed to keep the titles as long as they have.  Near the end E&C went for a Rocket Launcher but missed.  Orndorff came in and gave Christian a quick DDT and then seemed set to win the titles when from the back out ran the Brain Busters distracting the ref.  In the ring Pretty Wonderful hit a version of the Rocket Launcher but from the crowd out ran the Powers of Pain.  The Barbarian took Orndorff's head off with a big boot while the Warlord turned Roma inside out with a clothesline.  Bobby Heenan, who came out with the Busters, threw Edge a pair of brass knuckles.  Edge looked confused but that didn't stop him from knocking Roma out with them for the win.

Edge and Christian defeated Pretty Wonderful (Paul Orndorff and Paul Roma) when
Edge pinned Roma after hitting him with brass knuckles in 0:11:48.

(Edge and Christian retained the GWF Tag Team Titles.)
[Warlord interfered against Paul Roma.]
[The Barbarian interfered against Paul Orndorff.]

After the match E&C celebrated until the Heenan Family attacked them.  The Warlord hit Edge with a running powerslam followed by a flying headbutt from the Barbarian.  Meanwhile Christian was given a Spiked Piledriver by the Busters.  Heenan then laid the belts across the knocked out Edge and Christian.

It was then time for our number one contenders match as The Sandman defeated Big Van Vader in a very bloody brawl.  This went all over the building and very ECW like as the ref just watched.  Early on Vader was busted open by Sandman's cane.  Of course Sandman busted himself open with his beer can.  The Sandman and Vader were just exchanging rights in the ring when the man in black tried to attack the Sandman but he missed and hit Vader.  The Sandman grabbed his cane and tried to hit the man but he ran off through the crowd.  The Sandman picked up the nearly unconscious Vader and gave him a DDT on the chair and got the win.

No-Countout-No-DQ Match:
The Sandman pinned Big Van Vader with the DDT in 0:09:38.

["A Fan" interfered against Big Van Vader.]

After the match the lights went out as the Sandman was cracking open a beer.  All we see is a fireball and we hear a scream.  The lights come back up and the Sandman is in the ring holding his face.  EMT's rush out and check on him.  We then see a spotlight catch a man in the rafters and it is the man in black just watching.

After several minutes it is time of another tag team match between the Nasty Boys and the PoP.  It wasn't much of a match as the PoP caught Knobbs coming in with a double big boot taking him out.  The Barbarian then hit his Kick of Fear, a running big boot, followed by the Warlord locking in the Full Nelson for a tap out in less then a minute.

The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian and Warlord) defeated The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) when Warlord made Sags submit to the Full Nelson in 0:00:45.
Rating: * 1/4

The PoP stood over Sags for a moment and then went to the back.  Our main event was a wild one.  Savage seemed on the verge of winning the title several times.  Early on neither man had an advantage.  Both of them exchanged armdrags, hiptosses and body slams.  Hassan took over because of an eye gouge and a low blow.  During the match we see Cactus Jack and a bandaged up Sandman come out to watch.  Hassan went to work on Savage's back with a series of backbreakers and slams.  He got a near fall off a tilt-a-whirl slam.  Hassan went for a flying headbutt but Savage moved.  Savage took over and went for it all right away.  He hit his jumping hotshot and nailed Daivari on the floor.  Savage went for the Flying Elbow but Hassan moved.  Savage got up holding his side and elbow.  He stumbled right into the STO from Hassan for the pinfall.

Muhammad Hassan pinned Randy Savage with the Modified STO in 0:17:01.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Muhammad Hassan retained the GWF Heavyweight Title.)

Hassan:  Did you see that Foley?  I beat another legend.  First Vader, then Savage, next you Sandman and then Foley.  NO ONE CAN BEAT ME!

NEWS AND NOTES:

Next month at Hardcore Christmas with all matches under Hardcore rules:

GWF Heavyweight Title:  Muhammad Hassan(c) vs. The Sandman

Several wrestlers are trying to be brought into the GWF right now.

Also GWF officials are trying to clear TV time in the future.

GWF officials are also investigating the attacks on the Sandman still.  They are going to have higher levels of security to hopefully keep interference out of his match.

The tag team division is so hot in the GWF that officials are considering a night of just tag team action in the near future with the teams fighting for a title shot.

There is a rumor that the Heenan Family, despite a very good night, were heard having a very loud argument in their locker room.

GWF officials are proud to announce that at New Years Brawl Sting will be in action and will face off with former rival Big Van Vader.

Signed for New Years Brawl:

Muhammad Hassan vs. Mick Foley
The Dudley Boys vs. The Road Warriors
Sting vs. Big Van Vader

Good way to start the show with Blitzkrieg issuing an open challenge.. and then backing it up with a revenge victory over Viscera. Hopefully this is the start of a good thing for Blitz.

Shane & Kazarian did a good job, but came up short. The RW are pretty dominate in GWF... and pretty awesome. A 5* match is great!! The RW probably could have taken the Dudleys, but not after a match like the one they had with Shane & Kazarian.

Damn! Back to back 5* tag team matches! Impressive... this has been an awesome show so far.

Hassan's chances of keeping that title are looking slim with that string of matches he's got lined up.

Nowinski over El Dandy... blah... it's alright, though. Nowinski is keeping that hardcore thing going and it's working for him. Cactus will kill him, though... easily.

The tag team scene stays on fire with the tag titles match. Powers of Pain interferring against Pretty Wonderful, and E&C keeping the titles with the use of a weapon.

As much as I like seeing Vader fight for the title, I think it's a good change of pace to see The Sandman getting that opportunity. The man in black fails big time in this one... I have a feeling that the man in black will be heavily responsible for the outcome of The Sandman's title shot.

I was surprised that Pretty Wonderful didn't try to get some revenge against PoP during their tag match... but I guess PW was still recovering from their match with E&C.

Wow... Hassan beat Savage somewhat cleanly. Savage came so close, but so far in the end. Hassan talks big for being such a whiner. I don't think he's going to look too tough at the next couple of shows.
