(By 7:40 p.m., Peel's Palace is packed! The booths surrounding the ringside area are full... the second level with very few seating has become standing room only. Some people have already visited the bar a few too many times, but they're having fun! Ring announcer Seth Martini comes to the ring and the crowd cheers him on. He thanks everyone for coming out to the show and urges everyone to have a great time. He then welcomes former UFC and WWE great, KEN SHAMROCK, who is sitting at a booth with a few friends. Rating: * 1/2

This was a hell of an opener! ICP and the Headbangers have built quite a rivalry here in Cincinnati Pro and they wanted at each other badly in this match... Strike Force just seemed to be a "third wheel" more or less. Strike Force showed us that same fire we saw at the last event! With ICP down and hurt in their corner, Stirke Force were able to score a submission victory as Martel sealed the deal with the Quebec Crab on Mosh!

(Up next, Chris Leben makes his way to the ring. As he passes by Ken Shamrock, Leben extends his hand in a show of respect. Shamrock looks at Leben's hand... the turns his head and takes another drink from his glass. Leben looks at the crowd, confused at the show of disrespect from Shamrock. The fans let out an "oooooo" because Leben just got dissed! Leben drops his hand to his side and climbs into the ring. The fans clap for him. His opponent... no one knows! Leben was scheduled to face a mystery opponent... but who is it? A patriotic song blares over the speakers and THE PATRIOT comes to the ring to the roar of the crowd! He looks like he's in great shape, but are there any signs of ring rust? He gets in the ring and recieves a warm ovation from the fans.)

Rating: *** 1/2

The match started off with Leben using some ineffective strikes on The Patriot, and when The Patriot was able to get his hands on Leben, he threw the poor kid! Leben was getting thrown all over the ring until he discovered a big weakness The Patriot had... he always left himself open to submission holds! When Leben discovered this, he applied submission after submission until The Patriot could not hold on any longer! The Patriot had to tap out or suffer a broken arm or worse. A glimpse into the crowd shows a majority of the fans clapping and cheering, but Ken Shamrock looks unimpressed. Leben leaves the ring and once again, extends his hand towards Shamrock who, again, declines to shake Leben's hand. Leben begins walking to the back and raises his hand in victory!

x Kronus beat M. Henry via a sunset flip in 0:19:40
Rating: * 3/4

Our second Triangle Match and just like the first, it went for a pretty good amount of time. Kronus was definatly the favorite in this match. All three men battled through 15 minutes until Kronus was able to put Jannetty away. Jannetty looked angry at himself as he left the ring. Kronus and Jannetty fought hard the first 15 minutes and Kronus was, while happy to have pinned Jannetty, extremely fatigued. Mark Henry had preserved and paced himself well throughout the match and was virtually fresh when Jannetty was eliminated. It looked like he was on his way to a victory, but Kronus countered a spinebuster slam with a sunset flip to score the win! Mark Henry was beside himself with the loss! Kronus slid out of the ring and celebrated with a few fans in one of the booths! Henry was arguing with the referee, but the decision was final.

(Alexander Otsuka came out for the next match. This guy looks mad about something every time he comes to the ring. He threatens a few fans at ringside before coming across Ken Shamrock. Otsuka is trying to get Shamrock to hop the guardrail and fight, but Shamrock shows no interest. The two have a past together... but it looks like Shamrock is over it. Otsuka, frustrated, gets into the ring and calls out Shamrock. The fans start to chant his name, but Shamrock declines the challenge. The decibel level in the building is unbelievable.

The winner is Alexander Otsuka. Time of match: 0:10:26

Alexander Otsuka made Jamie Noble submit to the Jujigatame in 0:10:26.
Rating: *** 3/4

This was one hell of a contest with the offense going back and forth! Every time it looked like one person had the advantage, the other would counter and be in control for a little bit! It all came down to who could get in the best pinning predicament, or in Noble's case, be trapped in an unescapable submission. Otsuka locked in the Jujigatame and while Noble fought it valiantly, he was forced to submit. After the match, Otsuka put a few boots to Noble before being pushed away by the referee. The fans booed Otsuka endlessly and cheered Noble when he got to his feet and walked to the back.

(Mike Awesome and Sean O'Haire make their way to the ring. They are a scary duo for sure! Very intimidating! Some of the crowd is cheering them while the rest of the crowd is booing them. Much of the crowd came tonight to see this match as WWE Superstar Hardcore Holly and a surprise tag team partner will try to topple the massive tag team of Awesome and O'Haire. "How Do You Like Me Now" is blasted over the speaker as Hardcore Holly comes through the curtain! Peel's Palace is in an uproar! They love Hardcore Holly! Holly stands in the aisleway... the music cuts off. Everyone awaits with anticipation to see who Hardcore Holly's partner is.... "What Does Everybody Want?!" is heard and the fans ERUPT!! A "head" chant begins and AL SNOW comes through the curtain! He has Head with him!! AL SNOW is Hardcore Holly's tag team partner!! Rating: *** 1/2

This was quite the fight from beginning to end. It could have gone either way. Snow and Holly dished out a hell of a beating that most normal men would not have been able to overcome... but Awesome and O'Haire aren't normal men. These guys are tough as nails and they're HUGE! Anything Holly & Snow could dish out, Awesome & O'Haire took it and retaliated! When it was all said and done, O'Haire put Holly away with The Prophecy to the dismay of many of the fan's in Peel's Palace. Awesome & O'Haire celebrated their win at ringside despite the large amount of boos they were recieving. Snow & Holly left to an applauding audience. It's glad to have two great veterans like Snow & Holly to work with Cincinnati Pro!

(Ring announcer Seth Martini announces a brief intermission. Matt Stryker, Shark Boy, John Kronus, and Strike Force come out to greet the fans. As with the other shows, we'll have a look inside the locker rooms during intermission... just to hear comments, not to see the wrestlers changing... perverts.)
**INTERMISSION**
(In the babyface locker room, Hayabusa is prepping himself for his upcoming match against a mystery opponent. Jamie Noble and Chris Leben are speaking with each other. The topic of the conversation: Ken Shamrock. Leben is a little angry that Shamrock would not shake his hand and Noble is just trying to calm him down. Holly is pissed about his loss as we can tell when we see him punch a locker upon returning from the ring. Al Snow is angry as well, but not as mad as Holly. Chris Hero goes up to both of them and shakes their hands, personally welcoming them to Cincinnati Pro.)
(In the heel locker room, Buff Bagwell greets Mike Awesome & Sean O'Haire with a couple of attempted high fives. Awesome & O'Haire decline, but Buff is still excited. Buff congratulates them on "teaching Hardcore Holly a lesson!" There's obviously still bad blood between Buff and Holly and sooner or later, with Holly now working for Cincinnati Pro, these two are going to come to blows. El Dandy is attempting to work out a gameplan with Abyss, but Abyss is just staring blankly at the spanish-speaking luchadore. The Insane Clown Posse are discussing ways to finish off The Headbangers and also about how to get revenge against Strike Force.)

**INTERMISSION**

(We return from intermission to see ring announcer Seth Martini standing in the ring. He has an announcement to make.)

Ring Announcer Seth Martini: Ladies and gentleman... it is my pleasure to announce that Cincinnati Pro, as of this time next month, will be available on Time Warner Cable public access Channel 4! Now it may be small, but it is a step in the right direction. Unfortunatly for you great fans in attendance here at Peel's Palace, we will not start taping for television until next month, August 12th, where you can catch us in West Harrison, Indiana at the Harrison Health and Fitness Center!

(The fans boo because Cincinnati Pro is not taping for television at this show, but then they cheer because CP will now be available to new viewers on TV. We get right into our next match. Hayabusa comes out first and the fans are going insane! A lot of smart marks in the crowd are pumped that Hayabusa is a regular star in their area and they show it... by marking out huge for Hayabusa! Next... his opponent... newly signed to a one-year deal with Cincinnati Pro... from Kalamazoo, Michigan... JOSH ABERCROMBIE!)

Rating: **** 1/4
[Alexander Otsuka interfered against Hayabusa.]

As soon as this match began, Alexander Otsuka came down to ringside and took a seat. This served as a big distraction for Hayabusa, but to his credit, Hayabusa stayed very focused. Abercrombie made an impressive debut, but despite his best efforts and repeated displays of fighting spirit, he could not defeat Hayabusa. As the referee raised Hayabusa's hand, Otsuka ran in from behind and gave Hayabusa a sucker punch to the back of the head. Otsuka then rolled out of the ring and left ringside... just behind him, Abercrombie also left ringside. Is Otsuka responsible for bringing Abercrombie into CP? Or is it just coincidence that Abercrombie was not effected by Otsuka at ringside?

The winner is Jinsei Shinzaki. Time of match: 0:19:36

Jinsei Shinzaki defeated Christopher Nowinski, Scott Norton and Chris Hero when Shinzaki pinned Nowinski after a flying forearm in 0:19:36.
Rating: * 3/4

All four of these wrestlers wanted to prove something in this match. Nowinski wanted to prove that he should not be taken lightly and that he could be a legitimate contendor. Scott Norton wanted to show everyone that not only is he a great tag team wrestler, but he can go at with the best of them on his own. Jinsei Shinzaki has already proven so much in the first two shows of Cincinnati Pro, but he knows there is much more to be done here in CP. Chris Hero wants to get back in the main event scene after his unnerving loss in last months Round Robin. The fight went every direction for nearly 20 minutes before Shinzaki was able to get an opening to put Nowinski away to secure the win. A great effort by all four wrestlers, but there could only be one winner.

Shark Boy and Matt Stryker defeated Abyss and El Dandy when Shark pinned Dandy with the Dead Sea Drop in 0:06:35.
Rating: ** 1/4

At First Encounter, NWA:TNA star Abyss wrestled fellow NWA:TNA star, Jeff Hardy, in a less than stellar ladder match. He returned tonight to Cincinnati Pro for one final time to rectify that pathetic match. During the match, when Abyss was in the ring he was dominate. Neither Shark Boy or Stryker could find an opening to get some sort of advantage over Abyss. When Abyss had Shark Boy prone for a pinfall, El Dandy was eager to get in the ring... so Abyss tagged him in. Stryker then attacked Abyss as he was climbing out of the ring and knocked him to the concrete floor. This kept Abyss isolated just enough for Shark Boy to get the advantage back and score a pinfall victory over El Dandy! A really good match and an overall really good show! The fans left pleased with what they witnessed this evening. Ring announcer Seth Martini sent everyone home with the announcement of a CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT next month, August 12th, in West Harrison, Indiana! He also urged everyone to call the Hotline for updates on the upcoming show.

Overall: ** 3/4

Match of the Night: Josh Abercrombie vs. Hayabusa
CarlzillaPosted on 03/14/05 at 09:26:50

Strike Force winning was no suprise. I'm still a huge hater of ICP, although I have to admit I am looking forward to The Headbangers getting their hands on them in a one on one (or two on two in this case) affair.

I'm actually starting to root for Leben, I hate him in the Ultimate Fighter (being from Albuquerque, I'm a Deigo Sanchez fan myself), but I really enjoy him in your fed. I think that an impending Shamrock -v- Leben match would be sweet!

The next match...I would have gotten my popcorn and cola here...

Otsuka and Leben in an ultimate crush style match would also be sweet as both are MMA trained. I'm glad that Otsuka is getting a push here, and although I dig Jamie Knoble a little bit, the right man won the match.

After all that soda and pop-corn, I would have to use the bathroom...I'd do it here. Although I like Mike Awesome, and Sean O'Haire, there is something about them as a tag team that repells me, I just can't figure out what it is. Plus, I've never been a fan of Hall or Snow. Although a Snow -v- Janettey, New Rockers Showdown, would be kinda cool.

Hayabusa is the man, his win is unsuprising, but it definatly left me with a good feeling. Who is Josh Abercrombie?

Hero, Shinzaki, and to a lesser degree Norton, are sweet, I was glad to see Shinzaki triumph, but would have accepted a Hero win as well. I would seriously mark out for a Jurrassic Powers match in CP!

The main event, I'm not a fan of any of the workers really, I guess mostly because I'm not to familar with them. Although what I have seen of Abyss is sorta...blah...I was definatly suprised by the outcome though. I figured since this was supposed to be the last CP match for Abyss, that he would pick up a win. I was wrong, and it was cool to be suprised.

I think you have the most promising fed on the boards right now. You have a great write-up style and you appear to know your wrestling. I, thus far, have been both entertained and impressed. Keep it up!

He's a small time Indy guy.. doesn't have any big appearances on his resume though...

Frank Shamrock being the ringside guy who will be feuding with the up and comer was genius.. a lot better than the way I handled it..
VertigoPosted on 03/14/05 at 12:25:35

Josh Abercrombie, as of right now, is probably best known for his recent barbed wire match with Ian Rotten for IWAMS. He wrestles mostly IWAMS. I think given more time he'll become a pretty big indy name... so I'm using him in my circuit to "build his indy name" as far as TNM goes.

Thanks for the comments... I appreciate you reading my circuit.

As for Diego... I really dislike him. He talks like he's half retarded... I really hope he doesn't win. I want anyone besides him or Koshchek to win The Ultimate Fighter.
meetzorakPosted on 03/14/05 at 18:21:52

i liked the the card mad... but a 20 minute match including krounus and mark henry i kinda silly and a 20 minute icp match uhh.

but you still did an awesome job the josh ambercrombie ian rotten was awesome to. even though ian getting a little old for that. (Abdullah the butcher comes oout stabs me with a fork and runs off.)

Cincinnati Pro Official Hotline
Updated August 5th, 2005

Thanks for calling the Hotline! We are just one week away from our next big event, Championship Road. It will be the beginning of the 16 Man Tournament to do determine the very first Cincinnati Pro Tri-State Heavyweight Champion! At the end of this show, we will have four wrestlers remaining who will do battle in September for the championship in a Four Corner Elimination Match!

If you called last time, we announced three matches. John Kronus taking on Matt Styker, El Dandy against Marty Jannetty, and the huge opening round grunge match between Josh Abercrombie's and IWA-MS wrestler and promoter, Ian Rotten. On this update, we have the rest of the matches for the first round of the tournament!

First, Chris Leben and Chris Hero have accepted the challenge of taking on mystery opponents. In the past, we've seen HUGE stars come into Cincinnati Pro as "mystery opponents" and you can bet that the guys Leben and Hero will be facing will be no different. The strongest man in the world, Mark Henry, will try to take down Alexander Otsuka. What a clash of styles that will be! Chris Nowinski has fought with CEO Russ Myers to let him in the tournament despite his not-so-good record. Myers agreed to let him in, but to Nowinski's dismay, he must take on Hayabusa!  And finally, a big international match! Mexico's Dr. Wagner Jr. takes on Russia's Volk Han! Dr. Wagner Jr. is known widely in Mexico and Japan, and Volk Han made a name for himself working a shoot-style promotion in Japan! This is going to be awesome!

Cincinnati Pro presents Championship Road on Friday, August 12th, 2005 live from West Harrison, Indiana at the Harrison Health and Fitness Center. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. and you won't want to miss a single second! See you there!
