NAWA Glory 9/25/03

In Commissioner Steamboat's office.

Steamboat is filing papers when Miles Stylish angrily bursts into his office.

Steamboat: Time for your weekly bitch session already, Miles?

Stylish: Steamboat, what is this shit about you refereeing my match this Sunday against the Gambler.

Steamboat: I'll tell you what it is, Stylish. It is to make sure that he gets a fair shake against you. You have been known to bend the rules from time to time. A little law and order must be maintained.

Stylish: You are insulting me, thinking that I would resort to cheating to beat the Gambler. Let's review the facts. The Gambler, former five time Jobber Champion, who's greatest wins have been against lower level wrestlers such as Shawn Stasiak and Disco Inferno. Miles Stylish, greatest wrestler on the Planet Earth today, man who defeated Ron Waterman last month at Truth or Consequences...

Steamboat: The official NAWA records say differently, Stylish. Waterman pinned you in the center of the ring.

Stylish: I would have won had some dumb blond broad not distracted the referee longer than she was supposed to. Speaking of referees, call the match down the middle or I will knock your ass out.

Steamboat: I'd like to see you try, Stylish. I will call the match right down the middle and there will be a decisive winner this Sunday night on Pay Per View.

Stylish: We shall see, Steamboat. I will prove once again that no one is on my level.

Stylish storms out of the office. As we fade to the usual run of graphics for Tonight.

Backstage:

Chris Cruise is standing backstage with the NAWA World Champion Harry Harris and the NAWA Tag Team Champions the Backyard Dudes. F.R.E.D hovers in the background with a banjo and a tequilla bottle.

Cruise: I am standing by with what may be perhaps the oddest formed alliance in the NAWA. Harry Harris, let me ask you one question, what possessed you to agree to team with the Backyard Dudes?

Harris: Steamboat wanted to do the madatory "let's hype the pay per view" six man tag team match with fucked up alliances and I agreed, because I didn't want to have any more heat with the management. Other than that, no special reason.

Cruise: Okay, your thoughts on your Rage in the Cage opponent, Shane Douglas. He did pin you last week in the center of the ring.

Harris: Yes I know. He pinned me. Yet again. The fact of the matter is this. The boy could not win the match where it counted. He could not pin my shoulders to the mat with the NAWA World Title on the line back at Truth or Consequences. He said he will finish the job he started. Well I say, let him bring it because the last guy who was in a cage with me was soundly thrahsed and it will not be any different. This is your last shot, Douglas. You better make it count because as long as I am NAWA World Champion, your title shots after this will not ever happen and I plan on holding this belt for a very long time.

Ricky Ricardo motions for the microphone.

Harris: I'm sure there is FCC laws towards incedency towards the human language against you two talking by now but what the hell.

Harris hands Ricky Ricardo the microphone which he takes eagerly.

F.R.E.D: Los tipos del patio trasero le gobernarán. LOL. WTF. OMG. Xtreme.

The Backyard Dudes run off, tripping and falling over each other.

Harris: Madness, every single one of them. Anyway, I am going to kick ass, take names, retain the title this Sunday, burn out my eardrums with a blowtorch after having to listen to those three at close range, win the six man tonight, and have enough time to find out how many licks it takes to get the center of a tootsie pop. Not nessasary in that order, however. What the champion speaks is true, all my opponents will end up black and blue.

Daniels enters the ring and he says he will have his partner for this Sunday in the number one contenders match against Norman Smiley and Jeff Jarrett and they will face Super Crazy and the Sandman in this next match. Daniels gets on the microphone.

Daniels: Something wicked is coming. Something sinister and dark is going to take the NAWA by force as the two most sinister men in the NAWA have formed a tag team. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fallen Angel gives you his partner for tonight and Rage in the Cage, THE DARK WARRIOR.

Oh no, not him. These two together would be a deadly force to be reckoned with. The lights go out and the red lights come out as "Darkness On the Edge of Town" by Bruce Springsteen plays and out comes the Dark Warrior. The Dark Warrior enters the ring and removes his robe to boos from the crowd. Thankfully, the Dark Warrior does not go for the microphone, otherwise this show would be a wee bit long.

Rating: ** 1/4

Daniels gets his hand raised and the Dark Warrior walks out with Daniels. This Sunday it will be the Dark Warrior and Christopher Daniels vs Norman Smiley and Jeff Jarrett where the winners get a shot at the NAWA Tag Team Titles.

Backstage:

Jeff Jarrett is getting ready but Norman Smiley comes into the dressing room.

Norman: What the hell was up with you hitting Christopher Daniels with a guitar three weeks ago in the Ladder Match?

Jarrett: Now you bring this up. You were about ready to lose the International Title so I lent a helping hand. Norman, I think you are taking this whole moral character thing just a bit too far unless you want to be trading losses with the Backyard Dudes in the opening matches.

Norman: You think I am not good enough to win any matches on my own. I won the NAWA International Title on my own.

Jarrett: I never said that but I am just saying, I would think you would be a little grateful after I helped you win the match. You were thisclose to losing that International Title to Daniels and you think he would have given you as many rematches as you have given him. I don't think he would have even spared one. Anyway, we have not been doing too good as a tag team. We lost to Daniels on his own in a handicap match at the last pay per view and the Backyard Dudes by some miracle beat us two weeks ago. Now, we really need some momentum because the Dark Warrior and Christopher Daniels are two dangerous men and even with their lack of experience, it would prove to be a hard fought battle. We need unity and we need it now. I am going to drop using the guitar if it makes you happy but we need to focus on victory. No barely winning or even worse, losing this time Norman, we need a decisive victory over Swinger and Lenny in our match later tonight. Are we on the same page?

Norman: If we are going to use no illegal tactics, no cheating, win one hundred percent cleanly, and yes, we are on the same page.

Jarrett appears to go to roll his eyes at this but perhaps we are mistaken as he just nods and shakes hands with Norman.

Jarrett: Now if you excuse me, I need to make a phone call before our match.

Jarrett walks off as we fade to a commercial.

We have another video involving the French Revolution. We might as well go to this one.

We fade into some kind of government building, only no one is there except the janitor who is scrubbing the floors. We pan back to see the French Revolution. Lord Napoleon is standing by the podium with his Translator Pierre Marquette standing by himself. The third member, Jacques Strap is just standing in the background looking useless. Lord Napoleon gets on the microphone which thankfully doesn't work but Pierre notices that they forgot to plug it in so unfortunately this will go on:

Napoleon: Salutations, porcs américains impérialistes. Mon nom est seigneur Napoleon et je suis très dérangé au sujet de quelque chose. Le manque de lutteurs français dans la lutte. Il est franchement effroyable. Nous ne sommes pas un groupe de grenouilles lâches. Seulement ceux qui ont combattu les Nazis dans la deuxième guerre mondiale.

Pierre: Greetings, imperialist American pigs. My name is Lord Napoleon and I am very disturbed about something. The lack of French Wrestlers in wrestling. It is frankly appalling. We are not a bunch of cowardly frogs. Only the ones who fought the Nazis in World War II. (talks in his own words) Indeed, Napoleon, I would have to agree. We are not cowardly frogs and I can take George W. Bush personally with both hands tied behind my back and blindfolded. Anything else you want to say to your adoring minions in the audience. Or in our superior language, Toute autre chose que vous voulez dire à votre public plein d'adoration.

Crowd shot seeing the Janitor doing more dusting.

Pierre: Allow me to repeat that challenge in the language of the Imperialist pigs. Yes, I am going to lay out a challenge to the three most imperialist pigs of them all. The Backyard Dudes. Twizted Youth and Ricky Ricardo are not the greatest tag team in wrestling, that is the French Revolution and we shall win the Tag Team Championship. F.R.E.D. on the other hand is worse because he is Mexican and only part of the NAWA affirmitive action policy. Plus Youth and Ricardo are morons because they can't speak any reckonized language.

Pierre makes a digusted face.

Pierre: Indeed, we are going to prove that stupid Americans like the Backyard Dudes do not have a place in civilized world when the French takes over the world. There is one thing left to say. The Tag Team Belts will be around the waists of the French Revolution in no time should the Backyard Dudes by some pitiful miracle remain champions much longer and that is a sad statement of the quality of American wrestlers. The Backyard Dudes are the most moronic trio in the fed and an obvious product of the poor education of the United States. We are French, we are the destined rulers of the earth, we shall not fail in our quest.

The video quickly cuts out on this note as we fade to something more revelent in the ring.

Teddy: Kliq, you seem to be always messing with the business of my family. This Sunday night, I shall prove who the superior wrestler is when the four of us beat the three of you and your little mystery partner. You could bring Jesus Christ himself in and we'd still come out with the victory. Tonight, we are going to give a little preview in this six man tag team match when Harry and Jack will join forces with the best wrestler in the United States, Miles Stylish, to face Waltman, Hall, and the Gambler.

"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and out struts Miles Stylish to boos. Stylish enters the ring and it looks like he is going to get on the microphone.

Stylish: It is all coming to a head. Three days from now, Gambler. Three days before I expose you for the fraud you all. See, you may be a good midcard novelity act but you cannot step it up and face the greatest wrestler on the planet earth today, the custom made, styled to perfection, there is only one, because the world would be cracked if there was such perfection multiplied, that is me, Miles Stylish. Gambler, you may be tough. You may be tough enough to give me a bit of a fight but at the end of it all, even with a biased referee, I will pin your shoulders to the mat one, two, three. Steamboat, you may stack the deck against me, but I will triumpth in the end. Yes it is a cage match which may favor the Gambler a little more than me but I have no problem with that since it is the speciality of the Pay Per View and I expected any match that I would have to be that. Being referee may make for a for anxious moments but once again my superior talent will see me through and score the win over the Gambler just like I defeated Ron Waterman last month at Truth or Consequences.

What kind of delusional universe is Miles Stylish living in? He got pinned by Ron Waterman last month. It looks like Miles may be underestimating the Gambler which Disco Inferno, Lenny Lane, Shawn Stasiak, and so many others have done before him. If Stylish is not ready for a fight, the Gambler could shock him like he has an opponent before and win. The Gambler will not go down without a fight. "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC plays and out comes the Gambler, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman. The bell rings and this six man tag team match is underway.

Turn your back on him for one second. Stylish picks up the Gambler on his shoulders and FIREMAN'S CARRY INTO A MICHINOKU DRIVER. Stylish gets on the microphone.

Stylish: Gambler, once again, I have proved that I am superior. I am standing right here and you are lying on the mat injured. I can pin you with any more I like, at any time. The only hard part is to decide what move in my vast arsenal I should humble you with.
