[Chris Sabin interfered against Spikyjim.]
[James Robinson interfered against Van Wild.]

Our first match of the night and we were immediately joined at ringside by Real Xtreme. Their presence was definitely felt as Van Wild kept getting distracted by them as well as James and Lance sticking their nose in the action on several occasions. Unfortunately, they were not able to successfully rob Van Wild of a win.

After the match, Real Xtreme continued to brawl against Van Wild all the way to the back. Spikyjim got up off the mat and got on the microphone and called out the Head of the Class, Chris Benoit.

Benoit is never one to step down from a challenge and came out to get in Spiky's face. They began to fight but Spiky had already been through a 6 and a half minute match and could not hold up against Benoit's fresh offense.

Also noted was Chris Sabin coming down to interefere - the strange thing was that Sabin now had blue hair JUST LIKE Spikyjim.

Next up - Rhyno & BJ Whitmer team up with Scott Starring vs Chuck Palumbo & Johnny Ace & a mystery partner.

We awaited the announcement of the mystery partner and then we heard "You're looking at the real deal now" and the crowd knew it had to be...

Johnny Ace called a favor from his days working for WWE and was able to acquire the services of D'Lo Brown as the 3rd member of his team.

After the match, D'Lo got on the mic and talked about how you are witnessing a formation of the three supreme stars in the business today. And from now on, you can refer to them as "Team Supreme".

Rating: ** 3/4

Rizzono was not too happy that Shannon Moore rode his coat tails last month and acted as if he was the one who got the victory when it was ALL Rizzono. Thus, Rizzono challenged Moore to a match and was able to shut him up for good with a victory.

Despair defeated local talent Joey Bag `o' Doughnuts

Chris Sabin rushed the ring afterwards and Despair told him if he wanted to get it on they can do it right now since his last match ended so quickly.

Rating: *** 1/4

Chris Sabin was distracted in the closing moment of the match by the man in the cowboy hat being right at ringside.

After the match, Sabin was left in the middle of the ring and got up to see Despair walking away with Mr. Cowboy Hat. Furious at the loss, he challenged Mr. Cowboy Hat
to a match later in the night.

This would be Chris Sabin's second match of the night and it may not go over very well for him.

In yet another match that was certainly up the alley of Malenko, he was able to secure a win over the Christopher St. Connection.

[Johnny Ace interfered against Terry Funk.]

Terry Funk was able to hold his own against both Shane Douglas and Johnny Ace. Funk continued to use that road sign to bash over Douglas until Douglas was a bloody mess and Funk was hauled off to the backstage area by security.

This has definitely not settled anything and we may have to take drastic precautions to keep these two from killing each other.

Coming up next - two men will face off with a 6 month contract going to the winner.

[TRYOUT MATCH]:
Zach Gowen pinned Tamon Honda with the One Legged Moonsault in 0:03:43.
Rating: **

In a tryout match where the winner would get a 6 month contract, we saw Tamon Honda from NOAH and Zach Gowen, formerly of WWE face off.

Honda was not prepared to face a one legged wrestler and that worked in Zach's favor as he got a quick win in close to 4 minutes.

Gowen will be given a 6 month contract and we wish him lots of luck in HARD KNOX and the same luck to Honda as he returns back to Japan.

Nothing more to say than that Stamboli left Ridge hanging in the end as he was a victim of the 8 Second Ridge and a pin by James Storm.

Rating: *** 1/4
[Van Wild interfered against James Robinson.]

Van Wild tried to ruin Real Xtreme's match but Real Xtreme was able to work through the interference.

Real Xtreme laughed at Wild as they headed towards the back.

After the match, Mohammed Yone looked over at Austin and i'm sure he was wondering why Austin did not break the pin when he was in the German Suplex by James Robinson. Austin left the ring and Yone was left standing in the ring alone.

[Despair and Spikyjim interfered against Chris Sabin.]

Chris Sabin had already wrestled earlier this evening but his obsessive nature forced him into another match. This time it was against Mr. Cowboy Hat who we've seen at ringside during Sabin's previous matches and also earlier this evening when Sabin and Despair wrestled.

Sabin could have won the match but took a terrible spill in the closing moment and Mr. Cowboy Hat was able to secure a pinfall victory over an unconscious Sabin.

Mr. Cowboy Hat was joined in the ring after the match and we found out his name is TRAVIS LAGRANGE. We also know he is associated with Spikyjim and Despair in a group by the name of THE SUICIDE KINGS.

With LaGrange hanging with Spiky and Despair, Chris Sabin is certainly outnumbered. But who will be crazy enough to side with someone as obsessed as Chris Sabin in this battle?

Next up - our main event - Chris Benoit defends his HEAD OF THE CLASS title for the first time.

His opponent?

RAVEN!!!

Rating: ****
(Chris Benoit retained the HEAD OF THE CLASS.)
[Tommy Dreamer interfered against Chris Benoit.]

After about 15 and a half minutes and a serious piledriver through the announcer's table, Benoti was still able to come out on top and he remains HEAD OF THE CLASS.

After the match, Juventud Guerrera came down to the ring and challenged Benoit to a match. Juvy feels he should be the next challenger since he was the last person eliminated from the 4 way match last month.

Benoit - the ever defending champion that he is - accepted Juvy's challenge and promised to put the title on the line against him NEXT MONTH.

Card rating: *** 1/2

Next Month's Lineup is unavailable at this time due to contract negotiations being held.

**CONTRACT NEGOTIATION REPORT & NEXT MONTH'S LINEUP**

HARD KNOX had it's mid year review and here are the results:

- BJ Whitmer has re-signed and was given a 1 year contract.

- Buff-E has been resigned for another 6 months. Unfortunately, Mase has chosen to leave HARD KNOX after next month but wishes his "partner" lots of luck here.

- Chris Harris & James Storm have both renewed for another 6 months.

- Chris Sabin originally did not renew his contract but then he returned back to the offices an hour later and demanded to resign. Hard Knox has faith in what Sabin is capable of doing and has given him a SURPRISINGLY high 1 year contract.

- Dean Malenko has given his notice and was quoted in saying "I've proven myself to those that I needed to in the last couple of months and NOW my time has come to move
on". His partner, Perry Saturn will still be with us for at least another 2 months. Malenko will be leaving after next month's event.

- Mohammed Yone has been given another 6 months to his contract.

- Rhyno was also given a 1 year contract based on his ability to perform well in the ring with BJ Whitmer.

- As a result of his win tonight, Zach Gowen was given a 6 month deal with HARD KNOX.

- Chris Hamrick chose not to renew and some say it had to do with his fear of meeting up with Steve Austin anytime soon.

- Chuck Palumbo and Johnny Ace were both given 1 year contracts due to their great records thus far.

- Despair & Spikyjim also got 1 year contracts and said that they plan to spend those next 12 months keeping Chris Sabin VERY busy.

- James Robinson did not renew while his partner, Lance Williams has. Williams was given a 6 month deal and is no stranger to  performing in singles action. We wish
Robinson lots of luck wherever he ends up.

- Johnny Stamboli got a 6 month deal as did Steve Rizzono.

More contracts will be up for negotiation in the months to come but for now, everybody seems happy.

Next month we will have a 1 night tournament involving 8 tag teams to determine the first HEAVY HITTERS of HARD KNOX.

* First round action will see the following contests:

- The Flock (Raven & Tommy Dreamer) faces BJ Whitmer & Rhyno

- Steve Austin & Mohammed Yone have settled their differences from their tag match in July and will team up again to face a visiting tag team from Mexico.

- Van Wild & Scott Starring will do battle against Lance Williams and a mystery partner. James Robinson will be in Lance's corner to cheer his friend on.

- Despair & Spikyjim will face Chris Sabin and a brave ZACH GOWEN.

The winner of these four matches will meet in the semi finals and then the winner of those two matches will meet in the finals.

* Also in action:

-  Chris Benoit will defend the HEAD OF THE CLASS title against Juventud Guerrera

and

- Two men who are visiting HARD KNOX for the night will be in the ring.

That's it - see ya next month.

Good start to the show, I like the keeping of Sabin in there.  SpikyJim calls out Benoit?  Maybe he's starting to be like Sabin and not think before he takes action.  Oh, and Sabin dyes his hair like SpikyJim?  Interesting, very interesting. :)

D'Lo gets off to a good start.  Palumbo, Ace & Brown impressive in beating Rhyno & BJ.  Starring seemed to be the weak link.  I wonder if Rhyno & BJ will take exception to that.  They should make an interesting stable, although at first glance it seems to me like Brown might get lost in the fold.  Brown will have to work not to be overshadowed, especially by Ace.

And Shannon Moore is back to his old losing ways.  Some things never change ;)

Dispair defeats a bag of donuts and still has enough energy to put the hurt on Sabin, although with help from Mr. Cowboy McHat's presence at ringside.  Maybe Sabin will be able to get some revenge later tonight, but for some reason I doubt it.

CsC just doesn't know when to quit do they.  Once again getting their asses handed to them.  Will they never learn? :)

Johnny Ace helping Douglas?  Either Shane is in good with Team Supreme or he just wanted at the Funker for some reason.  One thing is for sure, Douglas took a LOT of punishment.

Boo.  I was rootin' for Tamon Honda.  I'm just not a fan of Gowan at all.

Good win for AMW

Not surprised that Austin & Ynoe didn't work out too well as a team.  Not to mention that Real XTreme is used to wrestling tag matches.  Austin/Yone match next month?  That could have some potential maybe.

WOW!  Big win for Sabin!  Revenge indeed.  Wait, confused.  Results say Sabin won, but the PBP says Cowboy hat won.  I'll assume cowboy hat won, since you write of it in the post match.  Oh well. ;)

And tonight's Hard Knox theme... INTERFERENCE! ;D  Being a title match for Raven, Dreamer had to interfere and try and help his man.  It's good that Benoit kept the title though, and in a good match too.

Spikyjim had a legitimate reason for calling Benoit out (he DID make it to the 4 way match the previous month) and it's Spiky's nature to not care whether he just wrestled 50 minutes or 5 - he'll still be up for a challenge.

Yea Starring is definitely better with Van Wild but VW was busy and Starring prefers tag action over singles. As for D'Lo, i can see him shining just as much as Ace and Palumbo.

And Shannon Moore is back to his old losing ways.  Some things never change ;)
yep!

Dispair defeats a bag of donuts and still has enough energy to put the hurt on Sabin, although with help from Mr. Cowboy McHat's presence at ringside.  Maybe Sabin will be able to get some revenge later tonight, but for some reason I doubt it.
I'm sure Despair did not need Cowboy Hat's help but as you saw, Cowboy Hat had his own agenda.

CsC just doesn't know when to quit do they.  Once again getting their asses handed to them.  Will they never learn? :)
They just pissed off the wrong person I guess. Unfortunately we'll never know how CSC could do in tag action since they have split due to the contract negotiations.

Johnny Ace helping Douglas?  Either Shane is in good with Team Supreme or he just wanted at the Funker for some reason.  One thing is for sure, Douglas took a LOT of punishment.
Maybe that tag match last month was more for those two than just a one night reunion. =) Yep - Shane is fuming over the post match antics of the crazed man from Amarillo, TX and a fuming Shane is NEVER good.

Not surprised that Austin & Ynoe didn't work out too well as a team.  Not to mention that Real XTreme is used to wrestling tag matches.  Austin/Yone match next month?  That could have some potential maybe.
HEY! no reading head to see that Austin & Yone end up facing off.

WOW!  Big win for Sabin!  Revenge indeed.  Wait, confused.  Results say Sabin won, but the PBP says Cowboy hat won.  I'll assume cowboy hat won, since you write of it in the post match.  Oh well. ;)
Yea - weird that TNM generated that result. Cowboy Hat did indeed win as you saw in the PBP.

And tonight's Hard Knox theme... INTERFERENCE! ;D  Being a title match for Raven, Dreamer had to interfere and try and help his man.  It's good that Benoit kept the title though, and in a good match too.
Yea that title match was definitely a hot one. We'll have to see what becomes of THE FLOCK in the months to come.

Just because I'm a curious little monkey, could you post who had the highest heat ratings? :)
