DCW Brute Force (2/14/05)

americamamushiPosted on 02/16/05 at 00:34:10

*The show starts with footage of Snitsky brutalizing Hogan and Steamboat at the end of last week's Brute Force.  Then the opening video plays, followed by shots of the arena and pyro going off on the entrance stage.  The camera also shows "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who is sitting in the front row as a special guest for tonight.  As the camera acknowledges him, he stands up, smiles and gives a wave*

[hr]

Hello and welcome to Brute Force!  Tonight, we're emanating from the New Orleans Arena and we've got a packed house tonight for a special Valentine's Day edition of Brute Force!  We are now able to bring to you some information regarding the upcoming DCW PPV Tribulation, which we will bring to you at the end of tonight's broadcast!  Right now, we've got Paul London in the in the squared circle, so let's get down to ringside.

[hr]

*London is standing in the ring in his wrestling tights and his brand new DCW "London Calling" shirt.*

Paul London: I bet a lot of you are probably wondering why I attacked Mikey Batts last week.  First off, I just want to let you all know, that it was nothing personal.  Purely business.  You see at DCW Tribulation there is going to be a new title introduced.  The DCW Lightweight title.  I want that belt.  At the moment, I think that barnone, I am the best candidate to win that championship.  Last week?  I was just helping to level the playing field a little bit.  DCW is bringing in six new lightweight wrestlers and along with myself and Batts, the eight of us will be fighting in a pinfall only battle royal for the Lightweight title.  I'm not worried about those six other men.  Just a bunch of newbs.  Batts however, Batts is a talent timebomb that's waiting to explode.  I was just making sure that he doesn't do it at the pay per view.  *a few boos are emanating*  But I'm a fair man.  I admit it wasn't the best course of action, but I made a decision in the heat on the moment, and while not the best decision, I made it.  So Mikey Batts, I'll give you a match against me tonight, fair and square.

*It seems that the crowd doesn't know quite how to react to London as he makes his way to the back*

[hr]

*We are shown the back of the arena where a very sad looking Jimmy Jacobs is moping around, still wearing his shaved boots.  President Berry and Tag Division Adviser Ryan Niemiller walk up to Jimmy holding a box*

Chris Berry: Now Jimmy, we know that you're birthday isn't for a couple more days...

Ryan Niemiller: But we just couldn't wait to give this to you.  We hate seeing such a talented guy all depressed and unable to preform.

CB: So... *handing box to Jimmy, followed by he and Niemiller putting on little party hats*

Both: Happy birthday!

*Jimmy slowly opens the present, as he lifts the box lid his eyes light up, like he's the old Jimmy Jacobs again.  He seems speechless and then slowly pulls a pair of brand new fuzzy boots out of the box.*

CB:  It's ok Jimmy, you don't have to say anything.  The look on your face is enough, lil buddy.  Hey, good luck in your match, we've gotta go.

*Berry and Niemiller walk off*

Jimmy Jacobs: Of course... new boots!

*Jacobs runs off ecstatic as we go into a commercial break*

[hr]

*Steve Richards is in the ring once we come back from commercial.  He looks... different.  Much different.  Instead of his usual black tights, accompanied with an out of place bright colored shirt and happy demenor, his nickname of "Dark and Troubled" actually might fit now... kinda of.  Now Richards looks like some tight of high school poser goth kid, with unusual make up and everything.*

Steve Richards: Before my match tonight I want to offer an explination of why I was gone last week.  I was supposed to wrestle Dan Severn, but Raven thought it would be a good idea if I fit in better with the whole... Flock image.  So I had an extreme make over... Goth edition.  It's better this way, right?  I mean... *pulls a piece of  folded note book paper out of his tights and reads from it mechanically* I don't care what any of you think.  You will all... supo... suf... oh, suffocate in the eternal darkness.

*Richards is interupted by "HUSS HUSS HUSS!" and then Jimmy Jacob's music*

[hr]

"Dark and Troubled" Steve Richards vs. "The Barbaric Berserker" Jimmy Jacobs

Jimmy Jacobs came to the ring like he was reborn and to a big ovation from the crowd.  Richards seemed to intent of staying in his new "Gothy" self during the match and flubbed a couple times, but Jimmy seemed like a man possessed anyhow.  He was all over Richards.  He was not only wrestling a match, he was trying to help avenge the memory of his old pair of formerly fuzzy boots.  Jacobs did a really good job of staying on top of Richards' game plan.  Much of the time, when Richards would try and reverse something, he'd only get halfway through before Jacobs would put the ball back in his own court.  Richards got whipped into the corner and Jimmy tried charging in at him, only to be met with a knee from Richards.  Steve grabbed Jacobs in a full nelson and held him in there, flailing him around a bit, untill Jacobs broke free and almost seemlessly went into a backspin DDT.  Both men were down for a 5 count and then upon getting up started slugging it out.  Jacobs gave him a nice slug right on the chin that knocked Richards back to the ropes, where he managed to fall out of the ring.  He quickly got up to his feet, though he was quite dazed.  Jimmy ran into the far ropes and then landed on him with a big plancha.  Upon rolling Richards back into the ring, Jimmy went up top and hit a flying dropkick once Richards got to his feet for a two count.  Then Jacobs hit the Contra Code for the win.

Jimmy Jacobs pinned Steve Richards with the Contra Code in 0:12:12.
Rating: ***

The crowd loved the Jacobs victory.  Jacobs celebrated quite a bit with the fans

[hr]

*Hardcore Holly's music hits and he comes down to the ring*

Hardcore Holly: Most of you people sitting in this arena and watching at home don't like me very much anymore.  All because of you're little golden boy Charlie Haas.  Well all of you fans can go screw yourselves.  I don't give a damn about any of ya.  You didn't give a damn about me anyway, it was always Charlie Haas this and Charlie Haas that.  Charlie Haas is nothing but a hack who got lucky a few times.  He is nothing.  Last week he cost me my match against Heidenreich, we screwed me over at Blizzard cause I'm sure that he cheated somehow, I'm sure of it.  But even before that, when we had a big chance against the Dudley Boys, what happened?  Charlie Haas happened.  He's the one that got pinned.  He's the one that lost us a big chance, lost me a big chance.  I'm sick of it and I'm sick of him.  Tonight Haas,  I'm gonna show you a real wrestling match.

*Hardcore drops the microphone and waits for Haas' entrance*

[hr]

Hardcore Holly vs. Charlie Haas

Holly and Haas have been a volitile duo in the DCW the past few weeks.  It all started when Holly and Haas teamed up to wrestle the Dudley Boys during a period when the Dudleys were having a hard time due to lack of a tag division.  Holly and Haas were beating the Dudleys in singles matches untill the Dudleys were granted a tag match against the two three weeks ago on Brute Force.  The Dudleys tore threw Haas and Holly like nothing they'd seen before.  When Haas got pinned after the 3-D Hardcore blamed him for their loss.  Then after a loss to Haas at Blizzard '05, Hardcore cost Haas his match the next night on Brute Force.  As retaliation, Haas returned the favor last week.  Haas began things with a lot of amateur wrestling which got Holly majorly frusterated.  Haas was just toying with Hardcore and everyone knew it.  After allowing Hardcore to get up, Haas even chuckled at Hardcore.  Big mistake.  Holly charged at Haas and leveled him with a huge clothesline, followed by a series of clubs to the face.  From there on it sort of deteriorated into a brawlfest, though not an unentertaining one.  Hardcore got a couple near falls on Haas after a flying crossbody block and a DDT, but nothing seemed to stick.  Haas would keep coming back for more.  Holly seemed a little taken aback at times that Haas kept getting back up, even though it was usually slowly and with the help of the ropes.  Eventually the surprise wore off and Holly would shout to Haas things like "Yeah, thats right, come back for more," usually adding in a name, that thankfully wasn't picked up by the camera microphones.  The match ended when Hardcore hit a big flying corss body block.  It appeared that when Haas went down he somehow tweaked his left arm.  Haas was obviously in a great deal of pain and referee Harley Donaldson threw up the 'X' and ended the match in a no contest.

Hardcore Holly battled Charlie Haas to a no contest in 0:09:52.
Charlie Haas tore his left triceps. He will be out for approximately 6 weeks.
Rating: ** 1/2

You could tell that Hardcore Holly wanted to keep wrestling, but obeyed the refs words of staying back.

[hr]

Paul London vs. Mikey Batts

Mikey Batts and Paul London have met before.  In fact, London defeated Batts two weeks ago on Brute Force.  Batts might have a little more to fight for this time though seeing as how he was attacked without provokation by London last week.  The match had a lot of beautiful, quick spots, most of which ended in a stale mate, followed by applause from the audience.  Eventually London started to get the best of Batts in the exchanges, though Batts pulled out a few surprises and hit a couple huge reversals every so often as well.  At the end of the match London went for a rana, but Batts threw him off, flipping London backwards.  London landed on his feet and Batts tried for a rana of his own, but London held on and picked him back up tohit him with a powerbomb.  Batts hit a couple punches to the top of London's head, turned around on London's shoulders, and dropped down to the mat.  He grabbed London around the waist and rolled backwards.

Mikey Batts pinned Paul London after a rolling reverse cradle into a bridge in 0:07:20.
Rating: **

London was surprised that Batts got the win, but didn't seem mad neccissarily.  He gave more like an "Ok, you got me" smirk and nodded his head as Batts decided not to stick around in the ring and celebrated up the aisle.

*The Finnish National anthem hits and Ludvig Borga makes his entrance*

Ludvig Borga:  Abyss!  Last night on Rapid Fire, I challenged you to a match.  I took you to on like no other DCW wrestler ever has.  Last night you won, but it was a fluke.  It was not meant to be.  You got lucky last night.  I want a rematch.  I demand it.

*The Flock's music hits bringing out Raven & Abyss*

Raven: You just got beaten by the Monster Abyss and now you want more?  What's wrong with you Borga?  All that snow a darkness in Finland going to your head?  You actually want more of Abyss?  You must be crazy.  Abyss will just destroy you again.  Once again you'll be humiliated.  Do you really want that?  You want your little nordic brain rattled?  Abyss would be glad to...

*Raven is interupted by Tag Division Adviser Ryan Niemiller on the DCW Big Screen*

Ryan Niemiller: Hold on there just a minute Raven.  I think I know what this situation needs.  I've just been informed of two matches set for DCW Tribulation.  In light of Borga's request, President Berry has made signed Ludvig Borga vs. Abyss! *pop* And also Raven, you haven't been forgotten about.  At Tribulation, you'll be facing... Jimmy Jacobs!  *pop*  But I feel the need to make a match.  Something that really... tickles my pickle.  Thats why next week, we'll see Raven and Abyss... take on Ludvig Borga and Jimmy Jacobs! *big pop*

*Raven seems quite unhappy about this.  Abyss seems rather indifferent and Borga seems happy*

[hr]

Scott Vick vs. Kid Kash

Two of DCW's new Lightweight wrestlers debuted tonight against each other.  Kid Kash and Scott Vick, who some might remember as Sick Boy from his days in WCW.  Kid Kash entered to a mild reaction and Vick to almost no reaction, most likely due to how long it's been since he's been seen on national TV.  Things started off big.  Kash sent Vick into the ropes, Vick ducked a clothesline and stopped himself.  He nailed Kash with a Samoan drop on his way back and followed it up with a short lariat for two.  The two exchanged some punches and chops until Kash went for a back suplex.  Vick flipped over his back and elbowed Kash in the head.  He turned Kash around and right into a boot, followed by a piledriver, which he rolled fairly fluidly into a powerbomb for another two count.  Vick started working Kash's knees with stomps and kicks and then decided to take his chances on the top rope, but Kash caught him with a hard fist to the midsection on his way down with a flying axhandle.  Vick caught a kick to the midsection only to get an enzuigiri for his efforts.  Kash hit a spinning legdrop and played to the crowd a bit.  Once he noticed Vick back on his feet he hit a hard springboard dropkick that sent Vick across the ring.  Kash went for a pin, but used the ropes for leverage and got caught.  The crowd really got against Kid Kash, who managed to get a few more near falls on Vick.  One after a wicked top-rope frankensteiner.  Vick almost made Kash tap with a scorpion deathlock, but Kash managed to fight out of it.  Kash ended it by hitting his devastating finisher a double underhook piledriver he calls the Money Maker.

Kid Kash pinned Scott Vick with the Money Maker in 0:07:47.
Rating: *** 1/2

[hr]

Tommy Dreamer vs. Savio Vega

This match was scheduled to be Dreamer taking on Sabu in his DCW debut match, but apparently that was not in the cards as for some reason, "Sheik" Sabu Farhat was not in the building so Savio took his place against Dreamer.  The match went quick and was basically just Dreamer beating on Savio, though the crowd seemed to like it.  Savio never had a chance.  Dreamer hit the Dreamer DDT on Savio for the win.

Tommy Dreamer pinned Savio Vega with the Dreamer DDT in 0:03:39.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Sabu no-showed.)

*The camera cuts to the inside of the locker room of Kevin Nash and Jon Heidenreich, though it is only occupied by Heidenreich.  John Cena enters in his usual garb, with backpack and handful of pamphlets*

John Cena: Have you found Jehovah?

Jon Heidenreich: Huh?

JC: Jehovah.  You know, the supreme being?  Haven't you ever felt lost?  Without direction?

JH: Yeah, all the time.  How did you know?

JC:  Jehovah knows all.  He's always here, all around us.

JH: *looking around* Even... *whispering* right now?

JC: Even now.  Do you want to get rid of that feeling of loss?  Do you want your life to have direction?  Do you want to be saved?

JH: Yeah, I think I do.

JC: Then here *hands Heidenreich a pamphlet* take this, read it, and when you are ready to leave the path of sin and join the path of righteousness come see me.  There are plenty of heathen sinners in DCW, do you really want to be a part of that?

*Kevin Nash walks in*

Kevin Nash:  What the hell is this?  What are you doing in here?

JC: I'm here to spread the gospel and bring this poor soul into the light, godless heathen.

KN:  What are you talking about, I'm Christian.  I believe in god, I'm just not a little freak like you are.

JC: *cough*sinner.  Just think about what I said Jon.

KN: *shoving Cena out of the door*  Get out of here. *he turns to Heidenreich who has been reading through the pamphlet the whole time.  Nash takes it out of his hands and crumples it up* Gimme that garbage.  Come on, I have a match to get ready for.

*As Kevin Nash leaves he throws the wadded up pamphlet in the trash.  After he's gone, Heidenreich gets up to leave as well.  Before he walks out the door he stops, bends down, and takes it out of the trash can.  He puts it in his pocket and leaves as we fade back to the ring*

[hr]

Solo Snuka vs. Kenny Kaos

Snuka stayed in control throughout this match.  Kenny just seemed unable to keep up at times.  He sure was trying though.  Snuka wrestled a match quite similar to his father, but it seemed he did it without quite the same flair.  One of Kaos' few moments of control saw him hit a big Uranage out of no where, but he followed it up with a kneedrop, which Snuka rolled away from.  Kaos tried for the Electric Chair Drop, but Snuka countered with a Victory Roll for 2.9.  After a well placed Savate kick, Solo went up top for a flying headbutt, but Kaos rolled away.  He was still too dazed from the kick to capitalize though.  After some brawling on the outside, Solo threw Kaos into the ring, hit a really big standing hiptoss and then went up top for a beautiful Superfly Splash.

Solo Snuka pinned Kenny Kaos with the Superfly Splash in 0:15:56.
Rating: *** 3/4

After the match Solo opted not to celebrate his win.  He exited the ring and walked by Roddy Piper.  He stopped, turned, and looked at Piper, who had a smile on his face.  He stared at Piper for a moment motionless.  Piper kept asking him what and eventually stood up.  Solo stepped closer getting in his face.  Piper still had a smirk on his face when Solo went to turn around and turned back with a huge slap to the face!  Piper turned back and tried to get at Solo, but was stopped by security.  Solo chuckled at Piper as he was escorted out of the building.

[hr]

MAIN EVENT: Kevin Nash vs. Gene Snitsky

Kevin Nash seemed really hesitant to get to get into the ring with Gene Snitsky.  He'd already beaten the hell out of Nash, as well as quite a few others over the past two weeks.  Snitsky seemed... well... crazy as usual.  Once the bell rang Nash decided to go for broke and charged in with clothesline knocking Snitsky into the corner.  He followed with a fury of rights and lefts and elbows and kicks.  Nash whipped Snitsky into the far corner and ran at him, but Snitsky bounced off and they ended up hitting each other with dueling clotheslines, sending both to the mat.  Snitsky ended up beating Nash to his feet and locked in a bearhug.  Nash broke out of it pretty quickly and tried picking Snitsky up for a bodyslam, though Snitsky blocked it and hit a low blow.  Ref Dwain Cross gave Snitsky a warning, but was probably afraid to fully DQ the psycho.  Snitsky hit Nash with powerslam for two, then latched on a choke.  The ref threatened DQ a couple times and eventually Snitsky let go.  Snitsky got in the ref's face, giving Nash time to get to his feet.  Snitsky turned around and got caught with a boot to the midsection.  Nash hit the Jackknife Powerbomb to the surprise of everyone, but Snitsky kicked out at two.  Nash managed to stay on the giving end for a little bit, even managing to hit another Jackknife for 2.9 and then got another two count after a lariat.  Snitsky went back on the offense though and started tearing Nash apart.  For the rest of the match Snitsky was in charge and hit Nash with clubbing blow after clubbing blow, power move after power move.  Until he ended Nash's suffering with the Pump-Handle Side Powerslam.

[Main Event]
Gene Snitsky pinned Kevin Nash with the Pump-Handle Side Powerslam in 0:19:38.
Rating: -**

After the match, Snitsky surprisingly didn't terrorize Nash more.

And finally, in the main event at Tribulation Gene Snitsky will take on Rick Steamboat for the DCW World Heavyweight title!  Thats all for tonight, join us this Sunday for DCW Rapid Fire, where we'll see a match between two more of the wrestlers to be involved in the 8-man Lightweight title battle royal!

Yep, that aint some guy in a mask, that's Hardcore Holly.

And if wrestling has taught me one thing, it's that Kevin Nash is a big devil worshipping heathen. "Religiously Uptight" John Cena is a heck of a leap from his WWE persona, but this one is pretty funny so I'm bought.

What I find ironic is that the circuit is pretty entertaining despite a roster chock full of your Nash-Holly-Snitsky-Heidenreich types. Credit to you mang.
americamamushiPosted on 02/16/05 at 21:04:37

Thanks 91.  I do what I can ;)  When I hired people (and when I hire in the future) I try not to think of just "Who would be a great work machine that'll give me high ratings" or "Who can I hire that I like"

I mean, Nash and Hogan are names, theres no doubt about that.  Snitsky I admit, has kinda grown on me in real life, and Heidenreich I think is useful in the kind of roll he's in in DCW.  I try not to have him work a lot in the ring or talk a lot, but he's a presence, and that is ultimately what I want him to be viewed as
Snabbit888Posted on 02/16/05 at 21:23:15

Ooh... Paul London gaining some heel tendencies... nice.  The thing with Mikey Batts is going to be cool... I like both of these guys a lot.

Ha ha... yay for acknowledging Jimmy's birthday!  And we got him a sweet gift.  Seriously, you're handling his character brilliantly right now.

Stevie trying to be more Goth, but instead he's a goofy angsty teenager.  And Jacobs wins!  Hooray!

Holly is a dick and hurts Haas!  He's hardcore!  With Holly's reputation for being stiff and rough, could this have been a shoot?  Could be an interesting "backstage story" type thing.

Very good Batts/London match, and with a good finish.  How long before London loses it and beats some A!?

LUDVIG BORGA ON PPV!  AND A LUDVIG BORGA/JIMMY JACOBS TAG TEAM?!  *drools*

Kid Kash and Scott Vick are good additions.  I always thought Vick was immensely talented and never really got to shine in full.

Sabu no-shows his first match... ouch.

Cena's so f'n weird, and he rules because of it.  Future feud with Mr. Nash in the works?

Solo Snuka wins!  Yay! *cough* 'Nuff said.

Good main event.  Snitsky needs to beat anyone and everyone all the time.  And he gets his World Title shot at Tribulation!  Yippee skippee!

PPV is shaping up.  Booyah.

Yeah, I like the way things are going with London.  Funny thing is that it all started because the extremely high random interference seed has London interfere.

I had this all planned out before I realized it was Jimmy's birthday.  Then I realized it and was all like "bonus"

Sabu no-shows his first match... ouch.
Yeah, I was miffed that he no-showed.  I have, however, planned reasoning out pretty well.;)  It actually works better that he no-showed I think.

Well of course you're gonna say it's better!  Because if you say it's worse, no one will want to read DCW and we'll all think you're a big stupid silly!

Muhahahahaha.

*cough*

Um...

*pie-faces!*
