SCHOOL OF HARD KNOX - DEBUT SHOW
DATE: FEBRUARY 12 2005
LOCATION: AMAZURA BALLROOM - JAMAICA, QUEENS, NY

School of Hard Knox held it's debut event last night at the Amazura Ballroom in Jamaica, Queens, NY and it started off with a bang.

Lance Williams and James Robinson AKA Real Xtreme came down to the ring along with their manager, Marty Lyons. Being that they are from the NY area, the local fans were on their feet cheering for the hometown team.

Williams and Robinson basked in the cheers and then began to brag about how they are the best tag team in the business and their long history of wins along with their title reigns speak for themselves.

Lance and James were then cut short by America's Most Wanted coming down to the ring to say how they feel THEY are the top tag team around and THEIR numerous reigns as TNA tag champions speaks for itself.

All 4 men decided to battle it out to see who indeed WAS the superior tag team.

The bell rings. The time limit has expired.
America's Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris) and Real Xtreme (James Robinson and Lance Williams) battled to a draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: ** 3/4

The match quickly went to the outside and stayed there for the bulk of the match. By the time it got back in the ring, there were only a few minutes left before the time limit expired. And expired it definitely did.

With this draw, nothing has been settled. Both Real Xtreme and America's Most Wanted vow to gain a win over the other team the next time they meet in the ring.

Next up - SpikyJim vs Josh Prohibition.

Josh Prohibition did not show up to the building for the event and the HARD KNOX officials chose to put Chris Sabin in the match as a replacement. They also announced that they have sent Mr. Prohibition his pink slip for insulting the company so early. A new hire will be announced by next month.

(Josh Prohibition no-showed.)

Spikyjim didn't seem to care whether it was Chris Sabin or Josh Prohibition across the ring from him as he stuck close to the HARD KNOX way and finished Sabin off with a powerbomb through a table for the 3 count.

Match with Special Referee Dean Malenko:
Chuck Palumbo and Johnny Stamboli defeated The Christopher Street Connection (Buff-E and Mase) when Palumbo pinned Mase with the Jungle Kick in 0:10:37.
Rating: * 3/4

HARD KNOX was able to secure the services of Dean Malenko to be the special guest referee for this tag match.

I feel that Mr. Malenko did a wonderful job as referee. Unfortunately, Buff-E and Mase did not and they showed this by getting on the microphone after the match to claim that Dean Malenko screwed them out of the match. They also called him a "gay basher".

Mr Malenko had already left the ring by this point and could not be reached for a response to these allegations.

Triangle Match:

Rating: ***

After suffering a loss at the hands of SpikyJim, Chris Sabin decided to insert himself into the match between Mohammed Yone and Spiky's tag partner, Despair, thus making the match a 3 way dance.

In the end, Despair secured another win for the Suicide Kings as he finished Yone off with his Despair Driver finisher.

Chris Sabin was not too fond of not winning the match and showed his disappointment quite well as he headed towards the back.

Chris Hamrick and Johnny Ace defeated Rhyno and BJ Whitmer when Ace made Rhyno submit to an abdominal stretch in 0:18:20.

[MAIN EVENT]: Triangle Match:
Shane Douglas defeated Chris Benoit and Raven when Douglas pinned Raven with the Franchiser in 0:15:35.
Rating: ** 1/2

Each man in this match had a score to settle with someone else. Raven hated both men for supposedly 'holding him back' over the years in WWE and WCW. Shane Douglas hated Raven and Benoit for leaving ECW for so called `greener pastures' in WCW. Benoit was simply proving that he was indeed the big man out of the 3.

In the end, Chris Benoit was knocked out at one end of the ringside area and The Franchise came out on top with a pinfall over Raven.

Card rating: ***

Next month's card should be a good one as we see:

* Real Xtreme
vs
America's Most Wanted II

* Chris Sabin & Mohammed Yone
vs
The Suicide Kings (Despair & SpikyJim)

* A new signee to replace Josh Prohibition

* A tag team tryout match between two unknown teams

* The Christopher St Connection have asked for a rematch against The FBI. That request has been granted and will happen next month as well.

AMW & RX battle to a draw.  Nice way to start a feud.  It may have ended in a draw, but surely they both can't be the best.

Boo Josh Prohibition.  Hail Sabin!  In my eyes this made for a better match anyway.  Sabin may have lost, but surely he put on a helluva show.

Jungle kick out of freakin' no where.  Nice :)  Malenko seems the perfect foil for a role like this.  The straight-laced technical wrestler that will call it down the middle counting the three over 2 heels he wouldn't let get away with anything.

Slick move putting the upcoming 30-man Iron Man match for the X-Division title in a non-title preview.  Daniels did it in Hard Knox, but will he be able to at the TNA PPV?  Well... I guess that's out of your hands, but still, good idea ;)

Hmmm... inserting himself in the Despair/Yone match, not a good idea for Sabin.  After not only wrestling, but being beaten by a powerbomb through a table by SpikyJim, it was apparant that Sabin wouldn't be able to fight off both men for a victory.  At least he wasn't involved in the fall.  Two pinfalls in one night would look bad.  Seems Sabin wants to start some stuff with the pairing of SpikyJim & Despair though, but is that a good idea?

hee hee, 18 minute match that ends in an abdominal stretch, gotta love old school ;D  Do Hamrick & Ace and Rhyno & Whitmer represent actual teams in Hard Knox or just makeshift teams for tonight's card?

Douglas, Benoit & Raven should prove interesting.  Benoit can't be happy with not even being involved in the fall.  I'm sure he'll have something to say about that, seeing as how he's trying to make himself out as the "big man" of the three.  Shane proved that staying with ECW proved beneficial, and if Raven proved anything, it was just that there is a reason that he was being held back by Douglas and Benoit ;)

Predictions for Next Month

* It'd be interesting if Real Xtreme battled AMW to another time limit draw, but I'll assume you're running unbooked, so it'd more likely that this time there will be a winner.  I think AMW will take it, but the feud won't be over.

* Sabin and Yone will pull out a win over the Suicide Kings, probably just barely.

* The FBI will beat the CSC and show that it wasn't Malenko's doing that they lost this month.

Can't wait to see who will replace prohibition.  Are you using the M key?

Tag tryout match should be interesting too.

Good stuff Shaun

Thanks - I thought it was a pretty good thing also (amazing what an aid TNM can be for developing storylines out of nothing).

Boo Josh Prohibition.  Hail Sabin!  In my eyes this made for a better match anyway.  Sabin may have lost, but surely he put on a helluva show.
Yea man! Screw Josh Prohibition. He sucked in XPW anyways!

what ya think about CSC's reaction to the loss?

Well the PPV has come and gone and maybe now he'd wish HARD KNOX was real and that the title was on the line. *grin*

Hmmm... inserting himself in the Despair/Yone match, not a good idea for Sabin.
Well Sabin was initially involved with the triangle match but when he had to sub for Prohibition earlier in the card, i thought it was classic for him to still be involved in the match later on since Despair and Spiky are partners. I personally think Sabin should back off but hey, if he's got Yone on his side, who knows what can happen next month.

hee hee, 18 minute match that ends in an abdominal stretch, gotta love old school ;D  Do Hamrick & Ace and Rhyno & Whitmer represent actual teams in Hard Knox or just makeshift teams for tonight's card?
Nope - makeshift teams but i may keep Rhyno & Whitmer together regularly now.

Douglas, Benoit & Raven should prove interesting.  Benoit can't be happy with not even being involved in the fall.  I'm sure he'll have something to say about that, seeing as how he's trying to make himself out as the "big man" of the three.  Shane proved that staying with ECW proved beneficial, and if Raven proved anything, it was just that there is a reason that he was being held back by Douglas and Benoit ;)
yea - Benoit obviously has being from WWE going for him but Shane seems to be dominant.

Good stuff Shaun
Yea - AMW vs RX II should be classic again.

The Kings are pretty tough guys so Sabin/Yone have a feat
ahead of them.

To replace Prohibition - I've got a circuit that i use for testing so i'm gonna run a m vs m match there and winner gets a deal w/ HARD KNOX.

The tag tryout match should be good - somehow every time i do one of those, i end up with La Rez on 1 side. =)

thanks for the comments.
