Chaz vs. Jerry Lynn

Tonight saw the debut of yet another newcomer to the DCW roster in Chaz, who some might remember better as Mosh of the Headbangers.  Chaz came to the ring to a pretty lack luster reaction.  It seemed the fans either didn't know who he was or didn't care.  He tried to remain upbeat, but the lack of reaction seemed to bother him a little bit.  He just couldn't illicit a reaction.  Once the bell rang Chaz tried to get the crowd going, with no success.  Then Lynn said to Chaz "Allow me" and proceeded to get the crowd going pretty good.  Chaz didn't seem real happy, but just sort of brushed off the upstaging.  Chaz extended his hand and the two had a clean shake before they started wrestling.  Lynn started things off with hitting a hard whip of a snap suplex out of the lock up, both men popped back up and Lynn tried to spear Chaz, but didn't have enough momentum and Chaz was able to grab Lynn and keep himself from going down.  Still holding Lynn he hit a couple knee lifts before Lynn wiggled out of Chaz's grip, though didn't escape getting hit as Chaz landed a couple punches square on Lynn's jaw.  He followed it up with some chops, then Lynn hit a few chops of his own.  Lynn tried for a dropkick, but Chaz batted him away, quickly grabbed him and whipped him into the ropes.  Lynn hit Chaz with a frankensteiner on his way back for a close 2 count.  The two managed to have several exchanges like this, most of which saw Lynn coming out on top with a near fall.  Chaz almost had Lynn a few times as well.  A well placed DDT almost won Chaz the match.  Chaz ended up in trouble again as Lynn took descisive control of the match.  He went for a fireman's carry into an ace crusher, but Chaz got out of the attempt and hit a big powerbomb where Lynn just about landed fully on the back of his head for 2.9.  Chaz took a quick breather and waited for Lynn to get up.  Once Lynn had pulled himself up with help from the ropes Chaz went for a huge flying shoulderblock, but Lynn got out of the way and Chaz's neck ended up landing on the rope, effectively hot shotting himself.  Lynn grabbed him and hit a Northern Lights suplex for 2 then imidiately hit the Cradle Piledriver for the 3 giving Chaz a loss in his debut.

Jerry Lynn pinned Chaz with the Cradle Piledriver in 0:08:47.

Disco Inferno vs. The Great Sasuke

Both Ernest Miller and Kenzo Suzuki were ringside for this match.  Miller tried to interfere a few times, but referee Bud Sims thwarted each attempt before it could happen.  Eventually Miller got himself ejected for picking a fight with Suzuki on the outside, jumping off the ringsteps and hitting the Feliner.  Meanwhile on the inside, Sasuke had been a force to be reckoned with.  Disco just couldn't keep up with him really, only being able to hit brawling moves without getting countered.  He managed to get out of two attempts at the Thunder Fire Powerbomb, but it looked like things were almost over after Sasuke hit a swan dive senton.  Unfortunently this all happened before the Cat had been ejected and this was the fatefull moment when Miller decided it'd be a good idea to create a ruckus.  Sims got distracted before he could notice Sasuke went for the pin and then ejected Miller.  The fans effectively made an 11 count while waiting for the ref to notice.  By the time he did the ref still managed to get a 1 in before Disco kicked.  The match wore on with Sasuke still staying on top of things.  Sasuke went up top for for a flying chop but on the way down Disco turned around and hit him with the Disco Duck!  Sasuke was out cold and the crowd couldn't believe how fast the match had turned around.  Disco pulled Sasuke away from the ropes and hooked the leg for the pin.

Disco Inferno pinned Great Sasuke with the Disco Duck in 0:06:50.

*Kenzo Suzuki pulled Sasuke out of the ring and helped him to the back while Disco danced in celebration.  Disco's 'getting down with his bad self' was interupted by the Finnish Nation anthem and Ludvig Borga made his way down to the ring.  Once he got in the ring it looked like the angry Disco was going to tell Borga whats-what, but after Borga grimiced at him, Disco's courage faded away and he decided to go while the gettings good*

Ludvig Bogra: *in kinda broken-english and obviously a Finnish accent* I am out here for a reason.  I want to prove that I am the the greatest wrestler.  I want to prove that I am the Finnish strong man.  That my muscles are like rocks.  President Berry has not given me a fair chance, so I must make my own chance.  I will prove my worth right now.  That is why I am calling out... Abyss!

*The fans seem to like this idea even though they don't nessicarily care for either man all that much.  It doesn't take long before the Flock's music hits and Abyss comes down to the ring*

Main Event: Ludvig Borga vs. "The Monster" Abyss

The match started with a shoving contest.  Impressively Borga was able to go shove for shove with the Monster Abyss.  They finally locked up and pushed eachother around to three of the four corners, before Borga gave Abyss a clean brake.  They locked up again and Abyss tried whipping Borga into the ropes.  Borga reversed it, but Abyss hit him with a spear and layed in some rights before getting up.  The first near fall went to Abyss after hitting a powerslam.  Both men managed to hit eachother with a number of high impact power moves and everytime they would come back for more.  The fans have never really seem some one handle Abyss like this in DCW.  Borga even countered a Black Hole Slam attempt not once but twice.  The fans didn't seem to really be into the match all that much though.  The fact that Borga was going toe-to-toe with Abyss just wasn't enough to impress them.  Borga tried getting Abyss up in the torture rack, but with no luck.  Borga almost ripped Abyss' mask off too, before being stopped by the Monster and hit with the Shock Treatment.  Borga kicked out of the following pin attempt at two.  Abyss picked up Borga and punched him, but Borga blocked it and answered back with 3 of his own.  Abyss hit a quick kneelift and whipped Borga into the ropes for the Black Hole Slam.

Abyss pinned Ludvig Borga with the Black Hole Slam in 0:21:52.

Chaz!  And everyone hated him!  Woo!  The guys you hire are always so strange, but they somehow manage to fit with you and your circuit.

Disco pins Great Sasuke?  Wowie wow wow!  That's insanity!

Gotta admire Borga's guts for calling out Abyss.  However, his ass was surely going to be kicked, and it was.

Ummmm... thank you? ;D  Yeah, I've been trying to hire some more off-kilter guys that you don't always see around the boards... at least for the lower card positions.  I've been trying to stick with guys people will know as well.  I'm trying to be realistic in the way that I'm not exactly the 'in charge' guy on DCW.  Just the booker/writer with some influence... if that makes sense... and if it doesn't... then... ummm... tushy. :P
rey619Posted on 02/02/05 at 20:55:34

It certainly makes sense. In some of my circuits I'm only the booker as well. Hirings are random, and whether or not the board will renew wrestlers contract is also out of my hands. I think it is fun playing that way, trying to do the best of what you're given.
americamamushiPosted on 02/02/05 at 22:31:04

I don't do it randomly in this circuit, I just try and think more realistically than trying to create the ultimate federation.  I (most likely) won't ever fudge on the contracts/injuries though.  Not even if it means that my champion, who is in the middle of a big angle, leaves.

I think it's awesome when someone brings a wrestler into their circuit and turns them into a star. Also, creating 'dream' matches like Disco vs. Sasuke - and look at the ratings for it! This was an impressive card and although I don't know much about this fed, from the roster I see so far, it looks awesome. I'll be looking for me.

Thanks for the feedback Vertigo and welcome to the boards.  If you're interested in reading all the back cards (which are only a little over 2 months worth) you can check out the DCW website (link in my signature) and/or sift back through the circuit board.  Website doesn't always have every card uploaded as it's posted on here though... thats what you call my being... oh, whats the word... ummm... lazy.  Yes, thats it.  ;)
