DCW Brute Force (2/7/05)

americamamushiPosted on 01/26/05 at 20:17:24

*The show starts with footage of Snitsky destroying Nash, Haas, Holly & Heidenreich at the end of last week's Brute Force.  Then the opening video plays, followed by shots of the arena and pyro going off on the entrance stage*

[hr]

Hello DCW fans and welcome to Brute Force live from the Coleman Coliseum on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and can you believe what happened last week?!  Snitsky has simply snapped.  I don't think anyone, wrestler or otherwise is safe from his rampage and tonight in the main event Hulk Hogan will have to face him one on one and Rick Steamboat will be in the ring as well as the special guest referee.  Neither may admit it, but both simply must be scared to get in the ring with that psychotic monster.  Aside from that match we also will see the Assassins in non-title action against Rhythm & Soul, Jimmy Jacobs will face Mikey Batts.  Jon Heidenreich and Hardcore Holly will face each other in singles action... if they are in any shape to wrestle after last week that is.  Also we'll kick things off shortly with Dan Severn taking on Steve Richards.  Plus Sheik Sabu Farhat is in the building!  And we'll have the debut of one of the newest DCW wrestlers, the son of Jimmy Snuka, Solo Snuka as he faces Tommy Dreamer.  Right now let's get down to the ring for our first match!

[hr]

*Dan Severn is announced.  And then the ring announcers makes a statement*

Ring Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, Steve Richards is apparently not in the arena tonight.  There for Dan Severn's opponent will be Bestia Salvaje!

*The fans aren't too pleased that they won't see Richards (hopefully) get his ass kicked by Severn*

[hr]

Bestia Salvaje vs. Dan "The Beast" Severn

Severn and the fans both were not pleased with Richards not showing up at the arena.  Severn showed it by jumping on Salvaje right when he slid into the ring, landing punching and elbowsmashes on an already grounded Bestia like there was no tomorrow.  That pretty much set the tone for the match.  Severn in charge.  With strikes and submission holds he dismantled Bestia.  Salvaje did manage to hit some simplistic lucha libre spots on Severn, but they were short lived advantages usually.  The match came off a bit better than anyone really expected.  Nothing was really invested in the match, but none the less the wrestling was slightly above par and the fans seemed to appreciate that.   Bestia got a two count after a spinebuster slam, but that was the only attempt he managed to get.  Severn eventually won after hitting a series of 3 belly-to-belly suplexes followed by a german suplex.

Dan Severn pinned Bestia Salvaje after a German suplex in 0:14:45.

"The Insurance Policy" Jon Heidenreich vs. Hardcore Holly

Both men came out with large bandages on their foreheads and were obviously not at 100%.  The match quality suffered because of this.  It should also be noted that while crowd reaction for Hardcore Holly has never been great in DCW, but tonight the section of cheering fans was much smaller than usual and there were quite a few boos replacing the missing cheers.  At one point a "Haas of Pain" chant started up, which cause Holly to get verbal with some ringside fans.  The fans didn't seem to interested in the match for the most part... at least until the end of the match when Charlie Haas came out to ringside.  Holly let himself get distracted, allowing Heidenreich to whip him around for the Insurance Form.

Jon Heidenreich pinned Hardcore Holly with the Insurance Form in 0:09:53.
Rating: 1/4*

*John Cena is shown backstage walking around handing out his Jehovah's Witness pamphlets to random DCW backstage workers.  He happens to run into President Berry on his journey through the back and hands him a pamphlets*

John Cena: Good evening Mr. Berry, have you found Jehovah?

Chris Berry: ... huh?

JC: Jeho...

CB: *interrupting* No, I know.  I'm not interested though.  I'm a Buddhist.

JC: A Buddhist?  President Berry, I'm going to say this as nicely as possible, because now that I've found Jehovah I've turned over a new leaf.  I'm a changed man.  So to say this without hurting your feelings... Buddhism isn't... you know... right.

CB: *sigh* Right?  You do know that Buddhism isn't even really a religion in a certain sense right?  There is no deity worship.

JC: No deity worship?  You mean. *gasping* *shocked* You don't believe in Jehovah??

CB: Uh... no, sorry, I don't believe in god.

JC: Please, refer to him as Jehovah.  But... I... I... I'm just stunned... i'm... i'm working for a... heathen.

CB: Yeah, whatever, just remember who signs your paycheck scruffy.  Good luck with the whole... god... er... Jehovah thing though.  Oh and speaking of your paycheck... you... are still a wrestler right?

JC: I don't know how much Jehovah would approve of violence for entertainment.

CB: You realize if you don't wrestle then I don't pay you anymore right?

JC: Well... I'm sure Jehovah wouldn't mind... I mean... i need to buy food and things.

CB: Yeah, thats what I thought.

*Cena begins to walk away, but stops and turns back to Berry*

JC: *smiling politely* You're still a heathen though. *Walks off*

CB: *under his breath*  Yeah... well... I'll heathen you.

*DCW Techie passing by gives him a funny look at the comment since it doesn't, you know, make sense*

CB: What, it's been a long day... why don't you go back to work.

DCW Techie: I'm union *Pulls newspaper out of his back pocket, smiles and walks off*

*Berry shakes his head and walks off camera as we are brought back to the ring*

"The Barbaric Berserker" Jimmy Jacobs vs. Mikey Batts

Jimmy Jacobs seemed... distraught.  He was still wearing the same boots that Raven shaved at Blizzard.  Jacobs looked like someone had just shot his best friend and despite the cheers of encouragement from the crowd and the numerous signs relating to Jacobs and his bald boot situation, he really didn't seem to want to be there.  The match consisted of Batts hitting a couple takedown moves and allowing Jimmy to slowly get back up.  Jimmy was just depressed and didn't want to be there.  Batts ended the match with just a small package that Jimmy didn't even seem to want to kick out of.

Mikey Batts pinned Jimmy Jacobs after a small package in 0:03:48.
Rating: ** 1/4

After the match Jimmy walked to the back, dragging his feet the whole way.  As Batts celebrated in the ring Paul London emerged from the audience, slid into the ring and attacked Batts from behind!  He laid the boots to Batts, eventually hitting a swinging facebuster and the London Calling before leaving the ring as fast as he came.

[hr]

"The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer vs. Solo Snuka

Snuka put on a good show for his debut, coming out wearing tights like his father wore, though he seemed to care less about the fans and didn't really acknowledge them at all.  Dreamer had a good amount of support, even eliciting some "ECW" chants.  Snuka didn't seem to be bothered by anything the fans did in favor of Dreamer and was just all business.  Dreamer might have been able to get the three count after hitting a Death Valley Driver, but he neglected to make the pin.  Solo managed to block an attempt at the Dreamer DDT and hit a quick reverse neckbreaker that really seemed to hurt Dreamer.  Solo went up top and flew to the middle of the ring onto Dreamer with the Superfly Splash.

Solo Snuka pinned Tommy Dreamer with the Superfly Splash in 0:12:01.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the match Snuka doesn't play to the crowd at all.  He just quietly walks up the ramp to the back.

Non-Title Match: The Assassins (Assassin #1 & Assassin #2) vs. Rhythm & Soul (Ernest Miller & Disco Inferno)

It didn't seem like Miller & Disco had a snowball's chance in hell against the tag team champions.  Much of the match was the Assassins powerhousing and manhandling Miller or Disco followed but a few points where Rhythm & Soul got lucky.  Disco managed to hit the Disco Duck on #1 as Miller hit the Feliner on #2 and it looked like they might actually win, but danced instead of going for the pin.  While they danced #1 & #2 both sat up!  They threw Disco over the top rope to the outside and hit Ernest Miller with the double chokeslam.

[Non-Title Match]
The Assassins (Assassin #1 and Assassin #2) defeated
Rhythm & Soul (Ernest Miller and Disco Inferno) when Assassin #2 pinned E. Miller after the Double Chokeslam in 0:15:39.
Rating: ** 1/4

The Assassins are handed their titles and celebrate in the ring, but are quickly interrupted by the Dudley Boys!  The slide in the ring and attack the Assassins from behind.  The Assassins quickly regain their composure and begin fighting back and winning.  Bubba hits an Ace Crusher on #1 and D-Von hits #2 with a low blow.  3-D on #2!  The Dudleys celebrate over the fallen Assassins as we go to commercial.

[hr]

*When we come back we see Sheik Sabu Farhat already in the ring.  The crowd is still booing him*

Sheik Sabu Farhat: Is this how you treat a diplomat?  By booing them and berating them?  Is this how you act?  Like children?  Or maybe you just don't like me because of where I come from and who I am.  You can act like children all you want.  Thats all this country is.  The largest gathering of immature little children and bullies.  And the pathetic thing is that you're proud of it.  You relish in the ridiculous way you act.  You have a phrase.  "America: Love it or Leave it."  I certainly do not love it.  I used to love it but my eyes were shut.  Now I've seen the light.  And despite this fact, that I do not love America... or even like America... I will certainly not leave.  I will stay here and show you how inferior your 'athletes' are.  How inferior... you are.  Next week, I will fly into New Orleans and I will face Tommy Dreamer in my DCW debut.  Dreamer will be the first to pay for American indiscretions.

*Sabu's music starts, he does his signature point to the sky and then leaves to a large number of boos*

Main Event: Hulk Hogan vs. Gene Snitsky w/ special guest referee Rick "The Dragon" Steamboat

Everyone was on edge for this match.  Would Snitsky tear Hogan to shreds?  Would he tear Steamboat to shreds?  After seeing him destroy four men in the ring last week neither are out of the realm of realism.  Snitsky seemed eerily calm as he entered.  Steamboat looked a little nervous and Hogan looked a lot more nervous than that.  Snitsky didn't dart at either as he was expected to.  The match was fairly slow and everyone was waiting for the powder keg to explode.  Slowly Snitsky started getting more and more physical with Hogan.  Hogan tried to keep up but couldn't.  Snitsky hit the Pump-Handle Side Powerslam but Hogan kicked at two.  That was when Snitsky snapped.  He started screaming at Steamboat and getting in his face about how the count was slow.  Steamboat amazingly held his ground.  Hogan came up behind Snitsky but Snitsky turned around and leveled him with a clubbing forearm.  He turned right back around and got in Steamboat's face again, going so far as to push Steamboat.  He pushed him again, and again, until Steamboat finally answered back with a hard right that sent Snitsky to the floor, but Snitsky got back up and latched a chokehold on Steamboat.  The time keeper called for the bell.

[Main Event]: Match with Special Referee Rick Steamboat Gene Snitsky and Hulk Hogan battled to a no contest in 0:12:23.
Rating: -**** 3/4

Hogan got up and saw Snitsky choking Steamboat out.  The fans were waiting for him to save Steamboat and it looked like he would, but then Hogan left the ring and walked to the back.  Snitsky kept that chokehold on Steamboat though as his face started to turn red.  DCW officials and security ran out to the ring to try and pry Snitsky off, but had a hard time doing it even with 10 people.  Eventually they pulled Snitsky off and quickly got away from Snitsky as it looked like he might attack any one of them at any moment.  Snitsky walked to the back laughing.  EMTs came down to help Steamboat to the back.  They hooked him onto a back board and began to wheel him out.  Once they were at the top of the ramp Snitsky appeared again from behind the curtain and chased the EMTs away.  He had a chair in his hands this time.  He knocked over the back board and begin laying into Steamboat with the chair.  Finally he stopped.  The show ends with Snitsky holding the chair while standing next to a bloodied and helpless Steamboat while the EMTs can only wait for Snitsky to leave to help the Dragon.

-4 stars.. lol.. well, what do you expect from a psychotic baby-killer and the Hulkster  ;D
I am curious where this John Cena religion thing is moving, but it's fun to see Cena with another gimmick than his rap gangster gimmick. What about some new hints as to the true nature of the Assassins? They're definetely not the Brothers of Destruction.. too obvious...

And do you have an export of Solo Snuka?
americamamushiPosted on 01/27/05 at 18:17:48

I don't remember where I got the export originally (I'm thinking TNMUK for some reason) so I uploaded the export as it is in my tnm.

Solo Snuka, a.k.a. Jimmy Snuka Jr.

I think you have to 'save target as'
Snabbit888Posted on 01/27/05 at 20:20:04

Richards no-shows, eh?  That buttplug.  Severn beats Salvaje in his slow plodding way.

Holly losing it because he's being booed!  As well he should be, and Haas isn't done with him yet!  And man, every time I picture Heidenreich doing his DCW finisher, I just laugh.  Don't know why. :)

Good humor stuff again with Berry.  Cena is shocked that you're a Buddhist!  Cena may have to sacrifice you to Jehovah if you're not careful.  And for some reason, Cena right now reminds me of Pedro Cerano <sp?> from the Major League movies.

Awww... Jimmy Jacobs is like Sampson.  You trim off his boot hair and he loses his power.  A big win for Mikey Batts as Jacobs has been on fire in DCW.  I surely wasn't expecting a Paul London beatdown though.  Whassupwitdat!?

Good debut for Solo Snuka.  Oh, you might want to zip up that export and reupload it.  I haven't got to try it yet because my ControlCenter is on the fritz, but a lot of times, unzipped .tnm extensions seem to get corrupted from my experience.

The Assassins win again, but suffer their first taste of an ass-kicking at the hands o' the Dudleys.  TDA Niemiller needs to do something about this! :)

Sabu doesn't like America.  Fair enough.  Let's see what you do with it.

LOL.  Best match rating for a main event... EVER!  the match itself was never the story here.  It was whether or not Snitsky was going to destroy Steamboat, and boy oh boy did he ever.  I love when a stretcher gets dumped.  Those angles always rule. :)

Good show, mate.
Critic of the DawnPosted on 01/27/05 at 21:40:24

Make that 2 requests for you to zip that up.  Since .tnm files are just text and line spacing, etc are all very important, it's very easy for things like Explorer to accidentally kill the export (as it did this time) if it's not zipped.
