GPW Impact 2/17/05 (Week 5)

JustinPosted on 01/25/05 at 15:19:58

This week's Impact kicks off with the same promo video of Sabu that was shown last week. The only change is that it doesn't end with the words: "Next Week", this time as the video fades, Sabu's music plays & he comes out onto the entrance ramp. As he walks out the crowd explodes into a chant of "SABU, SABU!" Halfway down the ramp, Sabu stops & points to the sky. He then sprints to the ring & slides in, drops his head dress and awaits his opponent.

Evolution's music plays as Triple H, Batista, & Ric Flair come to the ring.
HHH: Last week, I once again walked in the World Heavyweight Champion, and walked out the same way. Now I don't know what wasgoing through John Cena's mind when he F-U'd Randy Orton ,and frankly I don't care. What I do care about is that the one man that I should have been able to rely on wasn't there. So I've got only one question for you Batista (he turns to face Batista). Where the hell were you last week when my title was in jeopardy?
B: Where was I? If memory serves correctly, I was home last week because I nearly tore the muscle off my arm in a tag match that I had to win for Evolution 2 weeks ago. Now if you can't beat Randy Orton on your own, that's not my problem.
HHH: Not your problem? If something happens that causes me to lose this title, then it's everybody's problem.
B: Two weeks ago, I basically wrestled that tag match against Cena & Orton alone. And I still managed to win. Now if you can't beat either one of them by yourself. Then maybe you don't deserve that title.
HHH: Oh, and just who do you think does big man? You?
B: As a matter of fact.
Ric Flair jumps between both men as they step nose to nose.
RF: Hey! Knock it off! We're Evolution! We have to stick together. This is all Orton's fault & Cena's fault. They want us to be at eachother's throat.
Triple H adjusts his sunglases and takes one step back from Batista.
HHH: You're right Ric. Orton & Cena are the cause of all this tension. But you better help get Batista's head back on straight if we're going to work as a unit.
Batista steps forward and starts to draw back his fist as Flair steps in to block him.
Just then John Cena charges the ring & attacks Triple H. Flair & Batista jump on Cena and pull him off Triple H. Randy Orton runs down to the ring with a chair & chases Evolution to the outside. Then he & cena get in a shoving match as well.
GPW Commissioner: Steve Rogers steps out from the back.
SR: Alright, that's enough! (the arguing continues between Evolution & Cena & Orton) I said "KNOCK IT OFF!" (all 4 turn & face the commissioner) I'm fed up with all the crap the 4 of you have been pulling. So in 3 weeks there is going to be an end to all the controversy. I'm making an every man for himself 6 man elimination match for the GPW World Heavuweight Title. And I've already got over half the names I need for it. It will be: Randy Orton vs John Cena vs Triple H vs Batista. Now I know I said it will be a 6 man match, so that means that for the rest of the night every GPW superstar needs to make my stand up & take notice if they ever want to be concidered for this shot. Now as for tonight, Randy Orton, you and Triple H have the night off from in ring competition. But John Cena, since you were so anxious last week to interject yourself, you will facing a man that should healed, rested, & ready to go in the main event: Batista!

JK: Tonight in all his "infinite wisdom", GPW Commissioner: Steve Rogers has given my newest client an "Unsanctioned" match, sight unseen. RO: What the hell is your problem?
JC: Hey, I did what I had to to make sure that I don't get screwed again.
RO: So what; you just go ahead & screw me out of the belt?
JC: The way I see it; you were partially responsible for me not getting the belt 2 weeks ago. Remember?
RO: Hey, you wanted my help & I did my best to try & get that belt off Triple H for you. I should have known you weren't up for it. So now in 3 weeks, I'll be World Champion.
JC: In 3 weeks you'll have to go through me to do it. And I suggest you stay out of my way tonight.
RO: You don't want my help anymore? Fine, then I'm outta here. I have better things to do with my time than save your ass. Like getting ready for that 6 man match. Good luck.

Match observations:

A 6 man match fo rthe World Heavyweight Title is just 3 weeks away. Batista, Triple H, John Cena, & randy Orton are the first 4 names to be entered, who will the other 2 be? And how will they be decided?

Is trouble brewing in Evolution? After Triple H ask Batista where he was last week when "The Game" faced Randy Orton, Batista told the champ if he can't beat Orton alone, then he doesn't deserve to have that title. He then went on to declare that he has his sights set on the belt as well.

John Cena has finally beaten "Evolution's Animal" Batista as Triple H stood on the entrance ramp and watched his fellow Evolution member. As the six man match for the title closes in, you have to think this gives him some much needed momentum.

It seems like the alliance between Cena & Randy Orton is pretty much over as both these young lions want to dethrone the GPW World Champion: Triple H, and neither seem to care who they have to go through to do it.

Sabu put on an impressive showing in his debut against Petey Williams. But what can we expect from a man that can be described as unpredictable at best?

Jason Knight has brought yet another former ECW wrestler to GPW in Perry Saturn, who made quick work of Jeff Hardy. And even though he has yet to sign a contract, Knight is demanding that Saturn be included in the 6 pack challenge for the GPW World Title. Saturn has held a championship in every promotion that he has ever worked for, could this be the place where he gets his hand on his first World Title?

It will certainly be interesting to see who the 5th and 6th guy will be.. Perry Saturn should be an obvious choice since he has already marked out for it.

And yeah, you really need to do a Michael Shane / Shawn Michaels angle someday.. that's just begging to be made.
JustinPosted on 01/26/05 at 00:30:18

the Shane/Michaels feud is something that is inevitable. so be patient & stay tuned
