DCW Brute Force (1/31/05)

americamamushiPosted on 01/22/05 at 05:49:17

As some of you may notice I'm borrowing a thing here and there storyline/angle wise.  Of course, as most of you should this is common practice in pro wrestling and there hasn't been an original storyline since 19-dickity-3 (We had to say 'dickity' because the kaiser had stolen our word for 'ten')  The goal is to present it in such a way that it seems fresh and different... which obviously is what I'm trying to do.  Anyway, enjoy.

P.S. I know I haven't updated the site in a while, bad me.  I promise I'll try and get to it Sunday.  Have a wedding to go to tomorrow so it's not gonna happen till at least Sunday.

*A clip is shown from "earlier today" (since it says so at the bottom) of John Cena handing out pamphlets to the people in line.  It's hard to tell exactly what he's saying, but there is a "Jehovah" here and a "Jehovah" there as he passes them out.  This fades out and into the opening video sequence.*

*After the opening a capacity packed Phillips Arena is shown.  The cameras pan the cheering crowd as pyro explodes on the entrance ramp*

Welcome to Brute Force!  We're standing in the ashes of the Omni here in Atlanta, Georgia in what is know the Phillips Arena and we're live, one day removed from Blizzard '05!  What a pay-per-view we had last night and we crowned a new DCW World Heavyweight champion in Rick Steamboat.  Neither Hogan nor Snitsky and be too happy about that.  Tonight we'll see Tommy Dreamer take on Jon Heidenreich.  Will Heidenreich be himself after suffering that loss to Abyss last night?  He was destroyed by the monster two-fold in Memphis and Raven has to be happy about that.  We'll also see Konnan take on Dan "The Beast' Severn.  Last time we saw Konnan he was on the winning end of a match that he didn't even wrestle in!  Getting destroyed by Snitsky in the opening minutes.  Will he be in any condition to wrestle this week?  The new found tag team champions that were crowned just last night, a new incarnation of the legendary Assassins will face another team that debuted last night, the Great Sasuke & Kenzo Suzuki, who are using the tag moniker of another legendary tag team, the Orient Express!  Finally, in the main event Kevin Nash will be facing Charlie Haas!  Lets get down to the ring for our first match, Mikey Batts vs. Paul London!

[hr]

Mikey Batts vs. Paul London

What a great way to start of Brute Force.  Two talented DCW workers working each other and pulling out all the stops to kick off the show.  Batts has been a little less successful that London has been, but really took London and the crowd by surprise, taking control early on in the match, besting London in a few exchanges of reversals and counters.  London, not to be out done, hit an asai moonsault over Batts' head, landing on his feet behind him, picking him up for a back suplex, and instead of slamming him down he dumped him over the top rope to the outside.  The tried following it up with a plancha, but Batts barely moved out of the way and London got a face full of rail.  Batts got a little more cocky after this, thinking that he had London right where he wanted him.  He started slapping London around a bit.  He lifted him up onto his feet and went for a frankensteiner, but when he bent backward, London stopped him!  London pulled him back up and hit a vicious looking sitdown powerbomb!  The ref almost had a ten count before both men began to stir again.  They started exchanging blows, ending things up with a swinging facebuster by London.  He hit the London Calling for the win.

Paul London pinned Mikey Batts with the London Calling in 0:13:33.

"The Insurance Policy" Jon Heidenreich vs. "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer

Heidenreich seemed to make some stupid mistakes tonight.  His mind appeared to be somewhere else entirely.  It looked like his loss to Abyss last night really effected him.  Unfortunately for Dreamer he wasn't effected enough.  Heidenreich still could quickly change the tide of the match with a well placed boot to the face or even a simple push that landed the Innovator halfway across the ring.  Dreamer tried picking Heidenreich up for a Death Valley Driver.  He almost had him too, but Heidenreich slipped off and popped Dreamer on his own shoulders for the Insurance Form to end a fairly average and bland match, though not unwatchable.

Jon Heidenreich pinned Tommy Dreamer with the Insurance Form in 0:12:34.

*Gene Snitsky is seen walking backstage and from the look on his face he appears to be on a warpath.  A poor DCW go-for  got in his way and was quickly tossed aside and into the wall.  He walks a little further before stopping*

Gene Snitsky: BERRY!

*Gene Snitsky walks forward with a bit faster pace until he reaches a frightened looking President Berry.  Snitsky pushes him up against a near wall and lifts him up by his shirt*

GS: Last night I was robbed!  I was robbed by Hulk Hogan, I was robbed by Rick Steamboat, I was robbed of what is rightfully mine!  I'm obviously... not... very... happy.

Chris Berry: *nervously* Ummm... h-has anyone ever told you th-that you look like a large Fuzzy Cupid?

GS: *tightening his grip, lifting Berry a little higher* WHAT?!

CB: He-he was a midget wrestler back in the... it's-it's not important.

GS: You're damn right it's not important.  But I'll tell you what is important.  That I get what's mine.  And I'll get it by any means nessicary.  I don't care if I have to destroy Ricky Steamboat, I don't care if I have to destroy Hulk Hogan... I don't care if I have to destroy Ryan Niemiller... I don't even care if I have to destroy... YOU!

CB: *gulp*

GS: So what are you going to do.

CB: Ok... ok... h-how about... next week you versus Hulk Hogan... w-with... ummm... Rick Steamboat as the special guest referee.

GS: *getting a sick smile and giving a quiet chuckle* Good... and between now and then just remember.  Whatever happens to Steamboat and Hogan? *quickly loses the smile* It's not... my... fault!

*Snitsky drops Berry, who falls to the floor and not on his feet.  Snitsky walks off as the camera zooms on Berry, who is sweating bullets*

Konnan vs. Dan "The Beast" Severn

Konnan came out looking for a fight, almost popping several of the fans in the audience.  Konnan jumped on Severn before the bell started, quickly making sure to take things out of Severn's realm and into his.  All street style brawling.  Severn managed to cover up pretty good and no one was quite sure how much was really hurting Severn and how much he was absorbing until he kicked out at one and quickly turned Konnan over before he could get up from the pin attempt, locking an arm submission in.  Konnan fought his way out and eventually managed to get another definite advantage over the Beast.  He clamped on the Tequila Sunrise and had Severn locked in for quite some time.  He never gave up though, opting to pass out before tapping out.  The ref dropped the arm once, twice, and almost thrice but right before it hit the mat Severn lifted his arm up which gave him a huge pop from the crowd and in started the "Beast" chants.  He broke the hold and started throwing some hefty punched at Konnan, one of which Konnan caught and brought him down into a Fujiwara armbar, which Severn quickly maneuvered out of and before either could get up, he managed to lock his finisher.  Konnan wouldn't submit either, but he unlike Severn, wasn't able to get a second wind before three drops of the arm by referee Delmer McGowan

Dan Severn defeated Konnan when Konnan passed out in the Bodyscissors Dragon Sleeper in 0:23:02.

*After coming back from a commercial break, we are shown prerecorded footage is shown that features several clips of Sabu mixed in with a few clips of the Sheik most of the clips of Sabu are him preforming risky moves or hardcore acts on opponents while the clips of the Sheik are mainly clips where he is not wrestling, but wearing the traditional Arabic headgear.  The Syrian flag watermarks the footage and traditional Arabic music plays over the clips.  Towards the end, while clips are still being shown we hear Sabu's voice*

Sabu: I will hide my heritage no more.  I am Syrian... I am Arab.  My uncle was unable to do it... but I, Sheik Sabu Farhat, will teach America... a lesson.

*the footage ends with just the Syrian flag waving*

*The camera fades back into the arena and we see Raven standing alone in the ring.  He has a microphone already and a smirk on his face.  He holds his hand up.  In his hand... boot hair.  The crowd rips him apart with boos*

Raven:  Thats right, boo the Raven all you want.  I won.  I beat Jimmy Jacobs last night and not only that, but I shaved those stupid boots of his.  He doesn't have much to huss about anymore does he?  And with that I'm through with Jimmy Jacobs.  I showed him what's what.  The Raven doesn't need to provide anymore proof.  I didn't just beat him, I humiliated him.  I destroyed him.  I finished him off.  Never again will that little turd be the same.  The Raven has made it so.  Not one of you can take this away from me.  Jimmy Jacobs... is... history.

*Raven begins to laugh as he slowly sprinkles the boot hair from Jimmy Jacob's boots onto the mat as we fade to another quick commercial break*

Non-Title Match: The Orient Express vs. The Assassins

It was only the third match ever for the Assassins and the second for the Orient Express.  To legendary teams that have been 'born again' with new wrestlers.  There are still a lot of questions as to just who these new Assassins are.  There have been many Internet rumors of them being Kane and the Undertaker, and signs at the arena tonight have supported this theory.  They just debuted yesterday and their title win last night already seems to be turning some fan's heads.  The Assassins definitely were taller than their Japanese opponents and almost seemed to tower over them.  Much of Sasuke's high flying moves were ineffective on the Assassins because they'd simply catch him and slam him down.  Kenzo's strikes seemed to provide a much better wave of offense as several of his kicks managed to level the Assassins.  It didn't seem that, had this been a title match, that the Assassins were in any trouble though.  Although Kenzo got a near fall on Assassin #1 after hitting the Clawhold STO.  Kenzo tagged into Sasuke after that fall attempt.  It didn't take long before the Assassins were back on top of things.  Assassin #2 came into the ring eventually and the two hit a double chokeslam that literally bounced Sasuke off the mat upon impact.  #1 covered and #2 ran interference against Kenzo to keep him from breaking up the pin fall as the ref counted three.

The Assassins (Assassin #1 and Assassin #2) defeated
The Orient Express (Kenzo Suzuki and Great Sasuke) when Assassin #1 pinned Sasuke after the Double Chokeslam in 0:18:42.

Main Event: Charlie Haas vs. Kevin Nash

It may seem like an odd main event given what's been happening in the world title scene, but with Steamboat given the night off and Hogan resting a mild injury that was received last night there wasn't much left.  Haas thought he was on top of the world though.  A win last night on the PPV and a main event match on Brute Force?  Life was good.  The match started off slow.  Haas preforming some quick moves to get around the lumbering Nash.  It wasn't long before Hardcore Holly quietly made his way down to ringside with a chair.  He plopped down right at the side of the ring to watch the match first hand.  Haas was a little distracted to say the least.  Nash took advantage, that being in his nature and all.  Haas could get the advantage, but couldn't see to take his eyes of Hardcore for very long.  At least not long enough to be effective.  Eventually Haas went for the Haas of Pain even though the ref had been knocked down, he hooked Nash's legs, but was playing to the crowd a little bit before actually falling to the mat to lock it on.  Hardcore went up on the turnbuckle behind him with the chair and quickly jumped off the top, mashing Haas' potato with a sick chair shot.  He exited the ring just as the ref was getting up.  Nash hit the Jackknife to add insult to injury and pinned Haas easily.

[Hardcore Holly interfered against Charlie Haas.]

He celebrated a little as Hardcore rolled in the ring and got in an pretty much unconscious Charlie's face.  Wait!  Here comes Gene Snitsky!  No one seems to notice he's marching down to the ring!  Hardcore sees him as he slides in.  He almost takes Hardcore's head off with a clothesline.  Nash turns around and is knocked down with a big boot!  Snitsky leaves the ring and grabs a chair and here comes Jon Heidenreich to help out his man Nash!  Both get in the ring at the same time, Snitsky ducks a boot and waffles Heidenreich with a hard chair shot right between the eyes.  Hardcore and Nash are both starting to get up and he pancakes the both of them as well!  Snitsky now is looking toward Haas who is just starting to stir.  He... he's helping him up?  Why is Snitsky helping Charlie Haas to his feet? Oh no!  He just helped Haas up to get a better shot!  Here comes the DCW reffing staff from the back, but one by one they are all pushed off the apron by Snitsky.  He's going back to laying into all four fallen men with his chair!  All four men are bleeding badly from their heads.  Snitsky looks at the seat of his banged up chair and there is quite a bit of blood on it.  He takes his fingers and wipes them on the blood, then writes "DIE" on his chest.  The camera fades out on a closeup of his psychotic face

This John Cena thing is pretty fuck weird, my friend.  Though I'm strangely intrigued as to where this is going.

A great way to open the show with London/Batts.  I haven't seen much of Batts, but I hear he's a good young talent.  Who's cousin is he again?

Took Heidenreich longer than I thought to finish off Dreamer.  Ah well.  That one was never in doubt though.

Snitsky is going to destroy me!  YAY!

Those poor fans had to watch 23 minutes of Severn and Konnan?  Holy hell. ;)

Sabu is DCW's answer to Muhammad Hassan.  Sounds good to me.

Oh, those crazy Assassins and their anonymous stature.

Well, I'm glad it was Haas/Nash/Heidenreich/Holly and not me.  Snitsky is one sick mofo.  I wouldn't feel all that comfortable being in Hogan's or Steamboat's shoes.

heh heh heh.  Its gonna be great.  Hopefully everyone will get a kick out of it.

Batt's is Billy Kidman's cousin.  The most I've seen of him is his jobbing on TNA once in a while, though he seems talented.

Obviously I just book who will win and not when the match will end ;)

Who'd of thought that a Jerry Lynn moment would make such a good springboard for Snitsky's psychoticness ;D
