S-L-O-W Intros
| Fighter_Hayabusa | Posted on 05/05/05 at 16:12:56 Hi all, I installed that latest build yesterday (3b) and the intros are just incredibly slow. I guess it's done this way for folks who use theme music to add to the excitement and give the tune a chance to get going. Is there any way to speed this up? I don't use themes and don't like to sit and wait like that. If there's no way to speed it up, is the intro tweak the only difference with the new build? If so, I'll definitely roll back to the old build. >:( Thanks FH |

Download http://www.tnm7.com/downloads/intros.zip and unzip it to the PROGRAM folder. Then open the file TNM.CNF in Notepad, move to the end without editing anything and the add the line: HurryUpDuringEntrances=1 That should help. |

There's a way to get it to knock that off, but I can't recall what it is off the top of my head. I believe TNM.CNF is in the main TNM7SE file, not in the PROGRAMS file. That said, I believe WinXP will think that TNM.CNF is a SpeedDial application by default. To edit it, you need to open notepad and use that to open it. Eric "Critic of the Dawn" |

There's a way to get it to knock that off, but I can't recall what it is off the top of my head.In any Explorer Window (just open "My Computer, really): Tools Folder Options "View" Tab Select "show hidden files and folders" Just for good measure, also DEselect: "Hide Extensions for known file types" AND "Hide protected operating system files" Just be careful not to delete files you "don't recognize," as they might be important. ;D But Eric is right, I think you need to browse to the tnm.cnf through notepad.
