(Triple H won the GPW World Heavyweight Title.)
[Ric Flair interfered against John Cena.]
[Batista interfered against Randy Orton.]

After the main event:
Batista entered the ring & lifted the new GPW World Heavyweight Champion onto his shoulders & carried him around the ring while Ric Flair strutted around giving his fellow Evolution members 2 big thumbs up. All the while Randy Orton stood outside the ring with a murderous look on his face as he stared at his former stablemates.

Card rating: *** 3/4

Match observation:
Michael Shane eliminated all 4 of his opponents singlehandedly. Not only that but he qualified for the main event, something his more established cousin: Shawn Michaels was unable to do.

Thanks to Batista, Randy Orton was unable to keep the GPW World Title off the waist of "The Game". What will it take to stop Evolution from taking over the GPW like the did on Raw?

John Cena came within a hair of becomeing the first GPW World Heavyweight Champion. You have to think that if it wasn't for Ric Flair, the outcome may have been different.

And finally; Triple H is once again on top of the mountain. But with the list of challengers growing daily, how long can he remain there?

Next week:
The GPW World Tag Team Title will be up for grabs in a 4 team tournament . First round pairings are as follows:
The Hardy Boyz vs The Dudley Boyz
The World's Coolest Tag Team vs America's Most Wanted

This & much more next week 1/27/05 on GPW IMPACT!

Good first card.  Nice rating.  That'll put the butts in the seat next week.

Michael Shane was kind of a surprise for me.  I figured Edge or RVD would have taken it.

Cena's win wasn't a shock, but a Batista win would have made for an interesting main event.

With the way you're taking things, Orton's win was good.  Continuing the Orton/Trips heat from WWE gives you a pretty credible starter feud.

Triple H winning wasn't a surprise either, but Shawn getting eliminated by D-Von is. :)

Good main event too.  Michael Shane seemed at a big disadvantage against the other three.  Apparantly Triple H's thugs thought so too because they didn't even bother interfering against him! :)

Looking forward to the next Impact.

Nice first card! I think you got the "right" winner in all your Royals. As Mushi said, you can continue the Evolution - Orton feud, while establishing Cena as main event and Michael Shane as the young lion (with four eliminatins..)
