TNM 7SE Build 4 won't start

The PhantomPosted on 10/01/05 at 15:31:01

I run TNM.bat and it opens a window but nothing happens. I don't see anything. I've even done it through the DOS promp but still, nothing happens. No error messages, just a blank screen.

I'm getting the same thing.  Black window with "Shortcut to TNM" when I run from my shortcut, Black window with D:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe when I go to the folder and launch it.  Running XP Home edition, SP2 on a P450 with 256MB RAM

Getting the same thing with windows xpservice pack 1, tried turning compatibilities on various settings but to no avail.

There was some kind of corruption in the archive. I just reuploaded and things should be fine. Thanks and sorry!

Caching problem?

Here's the direct link for the ZIP containing the corrupt file: http://www.tnm7.com/downloads/card.zip

Does it persist?
GordbergPosted on 10/01/05 at 20:51:57

Problem still exists.

Just to make sure: where should I unzip the file?
Easyc23Posted on 10/01/05 at 22:40:21

card.exe goes in the program folder of TNM.   I just redownloaded and put the card.exe in and now I get an Error 76 at pgm-ctr: 217001
IronwolfePosted on 10/01/05 at 22:49:23

That seems to have taken care of it on this side.
SWF_BigPoppaPosted on 10/02/05 at 00:59:38

Had the same problem, but Card.exe fixed it.  Thanks, Oliver.

Just updated the file again. Please try again if you had trouble.
The PhantomPosted on 10/02/05 at 07:59:02

My problem has been solved, thanks again Oliver!  :)
GordbergPosted on 10/02/05 at 11:38:35

Problem vanished. thanks, Oliver.

However, in one of my attempts to re-install TNM last night, I've decided to install it in another directory. now I'm simply unable to delete it. since he claims: "gfxt_pro could not be deleted, access denied" and asks me to make sure I'm not using the file (I don't).

Solutions would be appreciated.
Oliver CoppPosted on 10/02/05 at 11:49:23

That's actually easy. You need to reboot. Then you can delete the folder. The DLL is loaded when the Visualizer is loaded. Like all DLLs in Windows, it isn't unloaded from memory until you restart.

Thanks Oliver

You solved 2 problems i had.

The Card file fixed the TNM7SE starting problem..

And now i know how to delete the second folder i have also.

Thanks again
