NWA:TNA - Northeast Region - Week 22

Shaun SindelmanPosted on 01/17/05 at 02:48:51

Week 22
Date/Time: April 8 2005 at 3:00pm

We start off the evening with the NEW X Division champion standing in the ring with the title draped over his shoulder and microphone in hand.

Tazz spoke about how he pulled off an upset by defeating Chris Hero and taking the X Division title from him.

He then spoke about how he did this not for him but for someone else who deserved the title even more.

Tazz pointed to the entrance way and out of the backstage curtain came ROB VAN DAM!!

RVD entered the ring and got on the microphone to address the entire locker room, particularly the X Division superstars. He talked about how the TNA officials over looked him for many weeks when it came to X Division title matches and thus, he was forced to come up with a strategy. Simply put, have the Human Wrecking Machine work his way into the good graces of the champion, win his respect and then take the gold away from him. Which bring us to the present and speaking of presents...

At that point, Tazz handed the X Division title over to Rob Van Dam.

Tazz and RVD laughed at the expense of the entire company and locker room before leaving the ring. Instead of going to the back, they went through the crowd and exited the building.

What a shocker as RVD is now the NEW X Division champion after Tazz handed the gold over to him. What will the TNA officials say about this? We'll hopefully find out soon enough.

In the mean time, let's go to our opening match - our
