DCW Brute Force (1/24/05)

americamamushiPosted on 01/09/05 at 00:21:56

*As we fade into the show we see some poor quality footage of what looks like a small town church.  It looks like it's being filmed from the inside of a parked car.  We see a figure in black pants a white shirt and a black tie with a black backpack on his back walking into the church.  It almost looks like... John Cena??*

[hr]

*The opening video plays, followed by shots of the Savvis Center fans as the pyro goes off*

Welcome to Brute Force live from the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri!  We're just one short week away from DCW Blizzard '05 and what a pay-per-view that's shaping up to be!  And from the looks of it tonight won't be anything to snuff at either as we have some great action lined up for you tonight.  Apparently, something is happening backstage, let's see what going on...

[hr]

*The camera cuts to President Berry's office, where the Flock is already inside talking with him*

Raven: Listen Berry, tonight we want revenge for Jimmy Jacob's actions last week!  I don't care what we have to do to make you say yes, but come hell or high water you're going to give us our revenge.

Chris Berry: Alright, alright.  I'll tell you what.  We'll make a deal.  Tonight, I'm going to make a match.  Steve Richards versus Jimmy Jacobs.  If Richards wins you Raven, will get to face Jimmy Jacobs at Blizzard '05.  But if Jimmy wins, then he'll have every right to decline your match request.  And just as an added insurance policy, if you or Abyss interferes in anyway in the match... or if anyone at all interferes in the match then not only will you not get your match at the pay-per-view, I will hold you personally responsible for the interference and suspend you right there in that ring.  Thats the price you will pay if anyone interferes.  Even if they interfere against Richards.  It's your choice Raven.  Are you willing to take that chance?

R: I'm willing Berry.  I'm willing.

*The Flock begins to leave*

CB: Oh, and just for the hell of it, we're going to have Abyss take on Mikey Batts, the man you almost killed last week trying to get to Jacobs.

R: That's it?  Abyss versus Mikey Batts?  Whatever you say Berry.

CB: Whatever I say, huh?  Well, how about if Mikey Batts and Kenny Kaos take on Abyss in a tornado style handicap match?  Both men, in the ring at once, against Abyss.  You can go now.

*Raven doesn't look too happy as he instructs the Flock to leaves and we fade to commercial*

[hr]

Dan "The Beast" Severn vs. "The Insurance Policy" Jon Heidenreich

Heidenreich showed his dominance with a few early strikes taking Severn down.  He powered out of most of the submission holds Severn managed to lock on as well.  It wasn't the prettiest match in the world, but Heidenreich got the job done.  Heidenreich's only pin attempt got him the win after he hit a side suplex that made the ring shake.

Jon Heidenreich pinned Dan Severn after a side suplex in 0:04:45.
Rating: DUD

After winning the match Heidenreich picked up Severn and hit the Insurance Form (F-5).

*A new theme music plays over the PA.  It's one that the fans don't recognize.  Out walks a man in a suit with a microphone*

???: Hello St. Louis!  *hometown pop* You're all probably wondering who I am aren't you?  Well, I 'll tell you one thing, this isn't the first time you've heard from me.  I am Ryan Niemiller... and I am your Tag Division Adviser! *pop*  I'm out here to announce a slight change of plans regarding the tag team division.  *boos begin to surface*  Now don't jump the gun and assume those are bad changes.  I know I said that the second ever DCW tag team match would occur at the Blizzard '05 pay-per-view, but that just isn't going to happen anymore.  The second ever DCW tag match... will happen tonight in this very ring! *big pop*  And we'll be seeing the Dudley Boys take on the latest road blocks in their singles competitions Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas!  *another big pop*  And at the pay-per-view this Sunday... we'll crown the first ever DCW tag team champions!  The Dudley Boys and three new tag teams will be facing off in a small tournament, with the winner becoming the DCW tag team champions of the world!*yet another big pop*  But ladies and gentlemen, that's not all.  I've been informed by President Berry that he has made the World title match at Blizzard a triple threat between Hulk Hogan, Rick Steamboat and Gene Snitsky!  There for in tonight's main event... Hulk Hogan and Rick Steamboat will team up to face Gene Snitsky and... ummm... *pulls a paper out of his pocket*... well... it looks like the only guy left that can work a match tonight is... Konnan.  But still Hulk Hogan, Rick Steamboat and Gene Snitsky, am I right?? *big pop*

*Niemiller plays to the crowd a little bit before we fade to commercial*

[hr]

*As we come back from commercial we see Kevin Nash walking around, no crutches, not even limping.  President Berry comes up behind him and taps him on the shoulder, clearing his throat.  This startles Nash a little bit*

Kevin Nash: Umm... I ...

Chris Berry:  You're knee still bothering you?

KN: Uhh... yeah, it ... I mean I... the doctor...

CB:  *mockingly* buh, buh, buh, buh, yeah, save it.  I see what's going on here.  Fool me once shame on you, try and fool me again and you've got yourself a match against Jerry Lynn tonight. *as he walks away* dumb ass...

*Nash seems a little perturbed that he got himself into a match tonight as we fade back to the ring*

[hr]

"Dark and Troubled" Steve Richards vs. "The Barbaric Berserker" Jimmy Jacobs

Raven had a lot riding on this match tonight.  His whole plot for revenge on Jimmy Jacobs rests on Richards' shoulders.  If Jacobs wins he can deny Raven his match if he so chooses.  Richards was in good shape early on, until he went for a Stevie-T and Jacobs turned things around for a little bit until being caught in the face with a superkick.  Further into the match when Jacobs had recaptured control of things he made Richards look like a fool, but Hussing around, dodging Richards' attempts at lock-ups, kicking him in the butt here and there.  Eventually, Richards got so fed up he tried to spear Jacobs into the corner.  Problem was that Jimmy moved just in time and Steve went sailing into the corner post.  Jacobs pulled him back in and hit the Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Select Start, otherwise known as the Contra Code.

Jimmy Jacobs pinned Steve Richards with the Contra Code in 0:09:39.
Rating: *** 3/4

After defeating Richards Jacobs asked for a mic.

Jimmy Jacobs: Raven!  This Sunday at Blizzard, you've got your match! *big pop*

[hr]

Kevin Nash vs. Jerry Lynn

Nash came down to the ring, using his crutches again, which got a lot of boos now that the fans know he's a big faker.  He took one of the crutches and went after Lynn with it right after the ref started the match, but he was intercepted by referee Rod Marquez and the crutch was disposed of.  As Marquez was disposing of the first crutch, Lynn came up to Nash in the corner, and was met with Nash's other crutch upside the head as he turned around.  He tossed the crutch outside just as Rod Marquez turned around, none the wiser to what had just happened.  Nash gave the most innocent look he could as Marquez looked at Lynn's limp body and then to Nash.  Nash quickly covered him for the 3.

Kevin Nash pinned Jerry Lynn after hitting him with a crutch in 0:00:39.

The Dudley Boys vs. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas

The Dudley Boys showed their tag team dominance once again.  What they can't seem to get done in singles action they more than make up for in tag team action.  Even when Holly and Haas were in control of the match for a few moment it appeared as through the Dudleys were just waiting to bust out a big come back.  Hardcore tried to hit his Alabama Slam on Bubba, but it was turned into a sunset flip for a one count.  Later Hardcore would manage to hit the Alabama Slam on D-Von, but only for a two count.  The fans were it was coming as D-Von tagged in Bubba Ray and picked up an already beaten Haas.  A big 3-D would give them the win.

The Dudley Boys (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) defeated Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas when Bubba pinned C. Haas after the Dudley Death Drop in 0:24:55.
Rating: *** 3/4

*A prerecorded promo is shown.  It shows a man, standing in front of a Syrian flag.  He is wearing traditional arab headgear.  Stereo-typical Arabic music plays softly in the background.  He turns around*

???:  I have forgotten my roots for too long.  My uncle, the greatest wrestler ever to set foot in a ring would be rolling over in his grave at how I presented myself and my heritage in the past.  But now I will bring praise back to the name... back to the family... and back to wrestling.  I will show all you American wrestlers who is really on top.  I was trained by the best to be the best.

*He says something in Arabic and then turns back around as the screen fades to black.  Suddenly four giant white letters fade in.  They read "Sabu."  Then, more smaller letters fade in above and below it so that it now reads "Sheik Sabu Farhat", then fades out along with the music*

[hr]

*The camera fades up to a locker room where Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly are already in full blown argument about Haas being pinned by the Dudleys and their losing the match.  This quickly escalates into shoving and eventually DCW officials enter and break it up*

Mikey Batts & Kenny Kaos vs. "The Monster" Abyss

This match was much more of a work out than Abyss is accustom to.  Having to face both at the same time was a little more difficult for the Monster.  Batts & Kaos even had moment where it almost looked like they could get the victory.  Abyss had his moments too, usually involving him chucking one of his opponents out of the ring, then just about mutilating the one that was left.  Only when he could focus his attention on just one man did he have the big advantage that we're so used to seeing.  Abyss threw Batts out of the ring with a gorilla press slam, almost tossing him onto the barricade around the ring.  Kaos ran at him with a clothesline to no effect.  He tried picking Abyss up for a bodyslam, but Abyss leveled him with a giant elbow smash to the back of the head.  Then he whipped Kaos into the ropes for the Black Hole Slam.

Handicap-Match
Abyss defeated Kenny Kaos and Mikey Batts when Abyss pinned Kaos with the Black Hole Slam in 0:23:41.

Main Event: Hulk Hogan & Rick "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. Gene Snitsky & Konnan

Before the match even got started Gene Snitsky grabbed a chair and leveled his own tag partner!  He completely knocked out Konnan and busted him wide open in the process.  EMTs came down to put him on a body board and take him to an ambulance while the opening  stages of the match took place.  Snitsky seemingly took on Hogan and Steamboat with great ease.  Of course, it may have helped that neither Hogan nor Steamboat really wanted to be teaming with the other, seeing as how they would be enemies at the pay-per-view, not to mention whats happened these past few weeks.  Steamboat kept trying to get to the corner for  tag, but Snitsky kept pulling him back and dealing him more and more punishment.  Finally, Steamboat got to the corner, but Hogan jumped off the apron!  Steamboat slowly gets up, staring a hole right through Hogan.  He starts shouting at him.  Finally, he turns around and gets a face full of Snitsky boot.

[Main Event]
Gene Snitsky and Konnan defeated Rick Steamboat and Hulk Hogan when Snitsky pinned Steamboat after a big boot in 0:19:36.
Rating: ** 3/4

Brute Force fades out with Hogan staring at Snitsky, who is standing over Steamboat's body, with a somewhat scared look on his face.

Woah Kevin Nash can wrestle without getting hurt!!?!!?
Snabbit888Posted on 01/10/05 at 10:08:46

RYAN NIEMILLER IS THE TDA!  HELL YEAH! *wombats for all* Three new teams at Blizzard, eh?  Knowing you, I can only imagine who these teams end of being. :)

Heidenreich wins, as expected.  It's about time he does something now oher than get his ass kicked by Abyss.

Jacobs' finisher should be called the Konami Code.  That code worked for numerous Konami games, not just Contra.  *slaps Jimmy Jacobs* But Jacobs wins, and accepts Raven's challenge anyway!  Huzzah!

Dudleys win, Haas and Holly fight.  Aww.

Konnan in a main event... and being on the winning team!?  Never you mind that Snitsky killed him and he never wrestled... he still gets a W, and I am sad.  But Snitsky wins, pinning the World champ!  Snitsky for champion at Blizzard!
americamamushiPosted on 01/10/05 at 16:07:05

*Names his wombat "Wombat"*

The reason it is the "Contra Code" is that he and his brother have an inane obsession with the old Contra game.

lol, I picked Konnan specifically just to rile your feathers.  Wrestling is petty if it's anything ;)

Hey, Heidenreich has done some of the ass kicking too :P

Hopefully I've done a good job of hyping the PPV.
rey619Posted on 01/10/05 at 17:34:06

Snabbit888Posted on 01/10/05 at 18:41:11
