Kid Kash pinned Hector Guerrero with the Money Maker in 0:08:51.
Rating: **** 1/4

On a tough day for Los Guerreros, the show kicked off with one of their men.
Kid Kash was out to get a little revenge for his friend Low Ki against Hector
Guerrero. It was a tight little match, but all it took was one quick move
for Kid Kash to take the win. Impressive stuff by both men, but on this night,
Kid Kash was the man.

Chris Jericho made Jeff Hardy submit to the Lion Tamer in 0:06:54.
Rating: *** 1/2

Chris Jericho has been quiet of late, but against Jeff Hardy, he was regarded
as the heavy favourite. Jeff looked a little lost out there, perhaps due to the
suspension of his client Don Muraco, and Jericho was able to score a fairly
routine victory on this occasion.

The Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated
Los Guerreros (Chavo Classic and Eddie Guerrero) when R. Morton pinned Classic
after a crucifix in 0:09:48.
Rating: *** 3/4

Also victorious were former tag team champions the Rock'n'Roll Express as
they defeated Eddie and Chavo. Los Guerreros very much used every dirty trick
that they knew but the speed and teamwork of Morton and Gibson overcame this
to earn them a superb victory. No question if they can keep up this sort of form,
one might have to consider them firmly back in the tag title hunt.

Rob Van Dam defeated Kurt Angle by countout in 0:01:04.
Rating: **

Rob Van Dam, high on whatever, only took seven days, it would seem, to see
through Angles "bad knee" rouse, appearing today to call him on it. Angle was
furious that someone like Van Dam wouldn't believe him and agreed to go ahead
with the match that almost happened last week. Van Dam and Angle circled one
another at first, only for Angle to slide out, pointing at his shoulder, and
walk out for a countout. RVD wasn't pleased, and Angle backed down the aisle,
looking incredibly smug, his shoulder apparently fine now. Perhaps if he'd
turned around, he would have noticed Sean O'Haire sooner, O'Haire it would
seem had had enough of Angles cowardice and has some scores to settle himself.
When Angle did turn around, O'Haire quickly backed him down and Angle quickly
headed back to the ring where Van Dam hit him with a spin kick to send him
down before finishing him with the Five Star Frog Splash for good measure. For
Angle, it's surely a matter of time before he finds himself up against a
revenge seeking O'Haire, as well as a proper match with RVD.

The Miracle Violence Connection (Steve Williams and Terry Gordy) and La Resistan
ce (Rene Dupree and Sylvain Grenier) defeated The Syndicate (Lance Storm and Ken
Shamrock) and Edge & Christian (Edge and Christian) when R. Dupree pinned
L. Storm with the French Riviera in 0:11:56.
Rating: *** 3/4

Tag team action also eminated in eight man form. Edge & Christian were a part
of the proceedings and were seen earlier in the evening getting high with Rob
Van Dam. La Resistance meanwhile continue to try and curry favour with the
fans, but as always they failed miserably. After proudly saluting Delaware for
being most famous for corporal punishment (and then trying to say that they
supported this), they took a page out of the legendary Bret Harts book and
both gave a beret away to a ringside kid, neither looked particularly
impressed. The Syndicate meanwhile were in no mood for messing about and went
straight to work with their other opponents, the Miracle Violence Connection.
The Syndicate and Edge & Christian had the upper hand for most of the match,
particularly Lance Storm who continues to come on leaps and bounds, but it was
a chair shot from Terry Gordy to Storm during a pier-six that turned the tide.
Rene Dupree nailed the French Riviera and got the surprise pin, giving La
Resistance a kickstart after their dissapointing World Cup of Wrestling.

Masato Tanaka defeated Steve Corino by disqualification in 0:10:12.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Steve Corino retained the Television Title.)

Steve Corino has done a wonderful job as television champion in the last three
months, but Masato Tanaka has scored some impressive wins as of late, most
noteably over Chris Benoit. Corino underestimated the Japanese superstar quite
considerably. True, he had the early advantage, nicely utilising his old
school techniques to the full, but was too preoccupied with posing and mocking
Tanaka to finish him off and one too many comebacks for Tanaka cost the champ
as he was left reeling to the extent where he had to blast Tanaka with his
cast for a blatant DQ. Cheap, but effective. Doubtless though Tanaka will get
another chance down the grapevine after that one.

Hunter Hearst-Helmsley pinned Super Calo with the Pedigree in 0:01:24.
Rating: **

Hunter Hearst Helmsleys intents of regaining some momentum brought him
to the Kings Court today. No, Helmsley isn't changing his upper class ways and
going back to being a degenerate like the old days, but he is going back to
something else that brought him to the dance (sort of) as he announced he would
once again be the classy ladies man he once was, and will be accompanied by an
equally classy escort every night. The woman he had with him, however, didn't
exactly match that description as King Kanyon recognised her as the hooker
that had been hanging around outside the building (and she seemed to
recognise him too). Helmsley vehemontly denied this, saying she was a lady of
class and breeding. The fishnet stockings say otherwise. Still, Helmsley would
make quick work of his opponent for the night, Super Calo, after the "escort"
tripped Calo and Helmsley hit the Pedigree. Not bad, let's see if he keeps it
up.

Psychoanalysis (Brian Pillman and Sean O'Haire) defeated Larry Zbyszko and Rhyno
when O'Haire pinned Rhyno with the Seanton Bomb in 0:12:28.
Rating: ****
(Psychoanalysis retained the Tag Team Titles.)

Billy Kidmans days may well be numbered, as with or without the title, he will
face Brian Pillman in four weeks time at Retribution. Kidmans protests are
falling on deaf ears as he fears for his own safety while Pillman, ever losing
a grip on sanity and knowing right from wrong. Kidmans desperate pleas to Matt
Hardy at hearing the match had been signed were ignored. Pillman meanwhile is
relishing the chance to tear Kidman up and take away the DWF title as his
rollercoaster ride up the ladder continues.

All tying into this is a man who believes himself to be the number one
contender to the world title, one Larry Zbyszko. Putting forward his case to
Matt Hardy today, the commissioner was a little more willing to listen - indeed
his impressive list of victims in the past two months contain four former
world champions as has been well documented. The recent loss to Pillman took
him down a peg and tonight he had the chance to right that, whilst also getting
the title shot he so desired - maybe not THE title shot he wanted, but in any
event, the tag team titles were there for the taking. Matt Hardy told Zbyszko
all he had to do was find a partner and the match would be on, for the belts.
Larry found a partner alright, when he brought out the 'Manbeast' Rhyno. The
two didn't fare too badly as a team, but the tag team experience lay with
Psychoanalysis and invariably it was the reigning champs who came out on top.
Pillman managed to take care of Larry, sending him to the outside and into the
guardrail and Rhyno quickly became a victim of some double teaming, leading to
O'Haire scoring the pin and attaining the win. Pillman had further plans,
nailing Rhyno with one of the tag team belts after the match, looking at him
with wild eyes as dreams of being the world champion escalate. The DWF could
be a very dangerous place with Brian Pillman as champion, but to most people,
it would be far preferable to the reign of Billy Kidman. And whilst our world
champion might not have said as much, you can see the fear in his eyes as we
head into this one.

Match observations:

After holding it off and delaying it for so long, Matt Hardy finally revealed
what the test results on the cinder block had revealed - sort of. The Young
Lions reported to Hardy that there had been a break in at the lab and the
evidence destroyed. Well natch. Hardy simply curled up his lips and blamed
Jody Fleisch for his 'obvious defamation'. Fleisch, on the other hand, says
that he knows nothing of any of this - all he cares about is this Saturday
night when he gets the chance to host his own show. Matt Hardy is obviously
displeased about this but is currently discussing with Shane McMahon what
rules and limits will have to be put on Fleisch' booking this Saturday. From
what we understand, Fleisch will be presented with these rules at the start
of Clash of the Champions before he makes his matches which he claims could
change the shape of the DWF.

Two men who will be available to Fleisch will be Jerry Lynn and Raven who
returned today to cut an interview backstage. They've been sitting back for
the last few weeks recovering and plotting what they hold for the DWF, with
promises that they will be in attendance this Saturday and somebody will be
suffering. Knowing these two, there's no arguing that - question is where, if
anywhere, will Jody Fleisch put them on the card that he's currently planning.

Alex Wright was interviewed today concerning Dynamite Kids remarks of last
week when the Brit said he wanted another piece of Wright. Wright confidently
stated that if Dynamite wanted a piece of him, he'd get it, before continuing
in German - we caught Ulf Hermanns name during this, but not much else. That
said, Hermann is certainly a huge asset for Wright and if Dynamite and Wright
do look up, Dynamite Kid may need to keep an extra eye on this huge bodyguard.

I'm really surprised O'Haire and Pillman haven't lost their titles yet.  Not that I expected Cousin Larry and Rhyno to beat them tonight, but both O'Haire and Pillman seem to have their own personal feuds going that I figured the titles would be hot shotted onto another team by now.  Miracle Violence Connection, maybe?

HHH brings a hooker!  Yay!  The fact that Kanyon recognized the hooker is even better.

Of course someone broke into the lab to destroy the evidence!  Hehe, and people have been yelling at me for not revealing Black Tiger. :)  I'm looking forward to Jody's booking though.  So much that I'm going to go read... RIGHT NOW!

As far as the tag titles are concerned, that's all planned out (asuming there aren't any more irritating injuries). Yeah, those personal feuds may even get twisted in when the time comes for them to drop the belts...
