There is now a DCW website.  http://dc-wrestling.tripod.com

Welcome to the debut of DCW Rapid Fire.  We're once again in Detroit, Michigan and we have three action packed matches for you this evening, let's get right down to it!

[hr]

"The Barbaric Berserker" Jimmy Jacobs vs. Konnan

Jimmy Jacobs probably isn't too well known a face to many of you, but he's been working his way through the indies and becoming an great performing in the past 5 or 6 years.  He may be a little unorthodox, but then again, that could give him an advantage against some of the other members of the DCW roster who have been removed from the independent scene for a while.  Konnan let his mexican lucha libre roots hang out taking Jimmy and the fans by surprise a bit.  Jacobs managed to get a quick roll up for the upset while Konnan argued with the ref.

Jimmy Jacobs pinned Konnan after an inside cradle in 0:07:14.
Rating: *** 3/4

After the match Jimmy was smart and got the hell out of dodge.  Not a huge reaction from the crowd for the Barbaric Berserker, but pretty good for someone that many of the fans are not familiar with.

D-Von Dudley vs. Paul London

Just like his brother from another mother Bubba Ray, D-Von was forced to wrestle a singles match this week instead of a tag match, which is obviously their forte.  D-Von out-powered London many times during the match, usually managing to take control back very quickly after London swiped the advantage away with some more aerial moves.  D-Von didn't do as well as Bubba did on Brute Force against Jerry Lynn though, and as he went for the Saving Grace, Paul London flipped over and with a burst of power hit a german suplex.  He scurried to his feet and quickly followed it up with the London Calling.

Paul London pinned D-Von Dudley with the London Calling in 0:10:51.
Rating: ** 1/4

A nice win for London, but the Dudleys are already in a bad mood over the abscence of a tag division and this is likely to just make matters worse.

"The Monster" Abyss vs. Tommy Dreamer

No back up for Abyss here tonight, of course, it's not like he really needs Raven or Steve Richards at ring side to help him win.  He's perfectly capable of destroying anyone who gets in his way as is.  The poor wrestlers on the chopping block for Abyss' debut?  Tommy Dreamer.  Poor Tommy Dreamer.  The fans knew that his fate was sealed from the moment he appeared out from behind the curtain.  I think Tommy knew it too, but damned if he wasn't gonna try.  He slid into the ring and began to tear into Abyss with hard rights and lefts... unfortunently, this didn't seem to effect Abyss.  Dreamer tried a different approach, headbutts... no effect.  Finally it dawns on Tommy Dreamer like the morning sun... clotheslines.  One... no effect... two.... no effect.  They say third times a charm, but in this instance third time is a Black Hold Slam and Tommy was almost driven through the mat.

Abyss pinned Tommy Dreamer with the Black Hole Slam in 0:01:19.
Rating: 3/4*

Abyss picks up the win, though no one really expected him not to.  There is a reason why they call him "The Monster" Abyss.  Dreamer actually had to be carried to the back by EMTs he was so hurt from that move.

That wraps up Rapid Fire for tonight, we'll see you tomorrow on DCW: Brute Force!

Again, not a bad little show here.  Cool to see Jimmy Jacobs.  I dunno if I would have booked an Abyss squash as the main event, but hey, it's your show, not mine. :)

Cool to see Jimmy Jacobs.
HUSS!

Yeah, in retrospect that was a flub on my part.  I should have put it on Brute Force and maybe put Snitsky/Cade in the main event instead.  I didn't want Abyss to come off as low card since he was on the secondary show, but I wanted him to mutilate his opponent.  *smacks own wrists with ruler*

Hehe, oh trust me, it's not something so detrimental that it completely ruins Abyss or anything.  Worry not. :)

Though the ruler is pretty kinky... er... what?

*runs*

Good card yet again my man. Very enjoyable.

I was sad to see Dreamer get the tar beat out of him by Abyss, but it was bound to happen.

YAY for HUSS!! :)

I'm anxious to see how the Dudley's take the no tag division. I hope they don't hurt the president of DCW. ;)
Hehe.

Nice site.  I love blue! :)
