[hr]

Welcome to Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan!  We've got a packed house tonight for the debut of DCW and our flagship show "Brute Force."  Tonight we hope to have some great action for you and give you an idea of the action you can expect from us in the future.  There are still many spots on the card that DCW President Chris Berry has not yet released and will be announcing here shortly, but we do know the following: Garrison Cade will take on Gene Snitsky at some point during the evening and Bubba Ray Dudley will be in singles action against Jerry Lynn!

*"Song 2" by Blur places over the PA system and President Chris Berry appears at the entrance way greeting the crowd [big pop]  He makes his way down to the ring and signals for someone to pass him a microphone.*

Chris Berry: Welcome everyone... to D...C...W!! [pop]  It's great to be here in *looks aruond knowingly* DETROIT, MICHIGAN! [obligatory hometown pop]  Tonight I have some action lined up for you that I hope will knock your socks off.  Tonight in this very ring, we're going to start the preliminary stages of our World title tournament that will culminate in the crowning of our first ever DCW World Champion in three weeks at our first pay-per-view "Seasons Sleighings."  I know, I know... the name is a little late for Christmas time *chuckles* but the play on  words just... "sleighs" me. [small pop at the obvious bad pun]  But thats not tonight.  I bet you all want to know whats happening tonight, am I right? [pop]  Well tonight, we'll start this tournament off with Hardcore Holly facing Raven! [pop]  We're gonna see Charlie Haas take on Kevin Nash! [pop] We're gonna see the amazing wrestling return of Rick "The Dragon" Steamboat as he takes on D'Lo Brown! [pop] And we'll see Steve Richards take on... "THE IMMORTAL" HULK HOGAN! [usual large Hogan pop] So sit back, relax and enjoy...

*Berry is interupted by "Untouchables", John Cena's theme music plays over the PA.  Cena appears at the ramp to a face pop, though oddly, he doesn't throw up the bull horns or preform any of his normal mannerisms.  Cena enters the ring and snatches the mic from President Berry*

John Cena: Yo, yo, yo, yo... I bet I know what y'all want.  Y'all want me to lay a rap down for you, right? [big pop]  Well... it ain't happening. [boos start eminating]  That's all you needy people want.  I come out to a ring, I walk down a street, hell, when I'm eating dinner in a restaurant all you people want is me to rap for you.  Rap about this, rap about that, rap about me.  Well I'm sick and tired of it.  I'm sick and tired of you.  As far as I'm concerned all you people can just suck my..

*Berry grabs the mic back from him*

CB: Wait, wait, wait.  Is that all you came out here to say?  You interupted me just to tell some fans you don't like them?  What the hell are you thinking?  I'm the president of DCW!  You don't interupt me!  Now listen, you don't want to rap, thats fine with me, I never much cared for it anyway, but what in the blue hell is the point of coming out here... especially when I'm talking, to tell everyone that you not gonna do it anymore.

JC: [off mic] I'm just representin', I'm just representin'

CB: Alright, you want to get attention so bad?  Well, you'll have plenty attention in you're match tonight... and by tonight I mean right now.  Because you'll be facing...

JC: [off mic] Bring it, just bring it, whoever

CB: DAN "THE BEAST" SEVERN!

*Cena looks like he's seen a ghost.  He tries to beg and plead with Berry as he leaves the ring and Dan Severn's music hits*

[hr]

Dan "The Beast" Severn vs. John Cena

The match start off with Cena attacking Severn before the bell to try and gain an advantage.  Cena kept that advantage for a while but foolishly went for an early F-U which Severn manage to wiggle out of.  Anytime that Cena didn't have Severn in a compromising position it looked like Cena was totally and completely terrified of Severn.  Cena did pretty well not letting Severn lock on any real submission holds.  Eventually Cena just got fed up and walked out on the match.

Dan Severn defeated John Cena by countout in 0:07:19.
Rating: DUD

Severn didn't appear happy with his countout win, wanting something more solid.  Both Cena and Severn knew that if Cena had stayed Severn would have won.

[hr]

DCW World Title Tournament Match: Raven vs. Hardcore Holly

Raven came down to the ring with Abyss.  It appears that Raven has some kind of odd control over Abyss.  Hardcore Holly knew that this wouldn't be a fair fight and kept one eye on Abyss the whole time.  That of course meant one less eye on Raven which was a huge mistake.  Raven kept an advantage over Holly in this match.  Holly would always use his strength to power out of a move giving him a perfect opportunity to capitalize on Raven, but he always let himself get distracted by Abyss long enough for Raven to recover and go back on the offensive.  Raven whipped Holly into the ropes and Abyss grabbed Holly's foot meriting a warning from the ref at which time Raven pulled something out of his tights and whacked Holly square between the eyes with it.  He got rid of it as the ref turned around, picked up Hardcore and to add insult to injury, hit the Raven Effect on an already KOed Holly.

[DCW World Title Tournament - Round 1]
Raven pinned Hardcore Holly with the Raven Effect in 0:06:47.
Rating: ***
[Abyss interfered against Hardcore Holly.]

With Raven's win here against Hardcore Holly, it makes him the first to advance to the next round of the tournament, where he'll face the winner of our next match.

[hr]

DCW World Title Tournament Match: Kevin Nash vs. Charlie Haas

Nash may not be the most gracefull wrestler in the ring and he may be plagued with weak knees that could ultimately be his downfall in any match, he's still a power house that knows how to get the job done.  Haas is looking to make a name for himself in DCW, while Nash has already made a name for himself in the wrestling world and definently does not want to lose to the likes of Charlie Haas.  Haas didn't wrestle a smart match.  He should have worked Nash's knees, but didn't.  He should have taken away Nash's vertical base, but didn't.  Haas tried to impress the fans with big moves instead of by beating a name like Kevin Nash.  Haas kept going up and trying to take things to a whole new level, but Nash kept stopping him dead in his tracks.  Haas went up top to try and hit some kind of move on Nash, but on his way down was met with a hard lariat that turned him inside out.  Nash pinned Haas with a single finger to rub it in.

[DCW World Title Tournament - Round 1]
Kevin Nash pinned Charlie Haas after a lariat in 0:15:27.
Rating: ** 1/4

Now we know at least one match up for next week's episode of Brute Force.  Kevin Nash will take on Raven in the second round of this tournament.  You have to think that Abyss will play a part in their match next week just as he did this week.

[hr]

Gene Snitsky vs. Garrison Cade

Gene Snitsky and Garrison cade are two of DCW's young hosses.  Neither wanted to be outdone by the other in hopes of climbing up the DCW ladder towards a title match in the future.  In these opening stages of the federation winning a match can be make or break for a young up-and-comer.  Cade went for alot of Shawn Michaels-esque moves and hit many of them to perfection.  Gene Snitsky was sent reeling with a Superkick, but managed to kick out.  Garrison Cade's one real mistake during the match was taking too much time on the top-rope playing to the crowd before going for his Flying Legdrop finisher.  Snitsky quickly popped up to his feet and threw Cade off the turnbuckle to the outside where the match was almost counted out.  Snitsky has victory in his sights so he threw Cade back in and finished him off.

Gene Snitsky pinned Garrison Cade with the Pump-Handle Side Powerslam in 0:09:01.
Rating: * 1/2

*We see Chris Berry sitting in his office backstage talking on the phone when Bubba Ray Dudley bursts in the room*

Chris Berry: ... um... i'll call you back *hangs up phone* *to Bubba* Can I help you?

Bubba Ray Dudley: You're damn right you can help me.  Whats the big idea putting me in a singles match?  The Dudleys are one of the greatest tag teams... no... THE greatest tag team in the history of wrestling.  We should be wrestling tag matches, not singles matches.

CB: Well I'm sorry Bubba... while we in the office we're planning out DCW we kind of... forgot a tag division.  It was just a minor mistake

BRD: You... forgot??  You hired me and D-Von... and forgot about a tag division? *shakes his head in disbelief*

CB: Hey, if it makes you feel any better you two were some of the first wrestlers we called

*Bubba gives him a "it doesn't make me feel better" look*

CB: Look, I feel real bad about this misunderstanding.  I'll tell you what, you're facing Jerry Lynn tonight.  Why don't we just make that a tables match. [big pop]  Jerry Lynn used to be in ECW, i'm sure he wouldn't mind.

BRD: Fine, but don't think I'm letting you off the hook for this whole no tag division fiasco. *leaves*

*Chris Berry mouthes what Bubba just said to him in a mocking manner as the camera fades out*

DCW World Title Tournament Match: Rick "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. D'Lo Brown

Rick Steamboat came into this match with a huge weight on his shoulders.  If he lost this match, it would make his whole comeback meaningless and ruin his image past, present, and future.  He's surely never be able to get a shot at the title again because he'd be viewed as "Washed Up."  D'Lo brown had pressure on his too... after all... he was facing Rick fricken' Steamboat!  The match went back and forth alot and Steamboat put on a show that was comparable to preformances he had in his prime.  You could tell this was a different Steamboat than then though.  Older, almost wiser... and more mythical than even the likes of Hogan.  Steamboat still has it and proved it with a picture perfect flying corss bodyblock to pin D'Lo.

[DCW World Title Tournament - Round 1]
Rick Steamboat pinned D'Lo Brown with the Flying Cross Body Press in 0:16:15.
Rating: ** 3/4

Steamboat advances to the next round, where he'll face either Hulk Hogan or "Dark and Troubled" Steve Richards who has been seen hanging around with Raven and Abyss tonight.  With Richards' knew outlook it seems like an obvious combination, but does that mean that Abyss & Raven will play a part in the match?  Or is Raven only concerned with himself and his victories.

[hr]

Tables Match: Jerry Lynn vs. Bubba Ray Dudley

Lynn and Bubba Ray showed us tonight that ECW is still alive in a way as they put on a classic ECW style match.  Lynn was busted open early by a Bubba Ray charishot and bled alot throughout the course of the match, but never once didn't give it his all.  There were some close calls as both men almost went through tables several times, but the only tables that was broke was the announcers table ringside after a sitdown powerbomb by Bubba Ray Dudley

Table Match
Bubba Ray Dudley defeated Jerry Lynn by putting him through a table in 0:18:32.
Rating: *** 1/2

DCW World Title Tournament Match: "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan vs. "Dark and Troubled" Steve Richards

To many of the fans, this probably seems like a given win for Hulkamania, but on the other hand Steve Richards has some powerful friends in Raven and Abyss.  Unfortunently they didn't bother to show up to help their buddy out and Richards was thrown from pillar to post by the Hulkster.  It was surprising enough to most that Richards lasted as long as he did against Hogan, making the fans realize that maybe theres more to him than he has let on in the past.  As usual with Hogan, the leg drop sealed Steve's fate after 20 minutes of mediocre match.

[DCW World Title Tournament - Round 1]
Hulk Hogan pinned Steve Richards with the Big Leg Drop in 0:19:59.
Rating: * 1/2

Now the semi-finals of the tournament matches are set in stone and we have two doozies.  Raven vs. Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan vs. Rick Steamboat!  Well thats it for this, the debut edition of DCW Brute Force.  Join us next week when we'll see one more match in the World title tournament as Kevin Nash will face Raven.  And don't forget about the debut of DCW's other show "Rapid Fire" this weekend!  We'll see you then!

A very good opening offering.  You say you can't write the style guys like myself and 91 write, but this was more than respectable.  I don't like some of the names you're using, but the writing was quality.

Raven vs. Nash and Hogan vs. Steamboat?  Is this 1994? ;)  Seriously, all four guys I wanted to win those matched didn't.  You do not rock, old lady.  I like the Cena stuff... I had thought of doing something similar with Cena back before he quit in GCW.  I appreciate the Severn ass-kissing too. ;)

And I'm very glad you're using Cade and Snitsky.  I enjoy both a lot.  And you totally need a tag division.  Every circuit needs a singles title and a tag title at the minimum.  Could lead to a fun angle though with the Dudleyz trying to bully Berry into installing a tag division.

Very solid opening... don't let this one die. :)

Nice, nice card. Good writing.

I love the fact that you had Severn "wiggle" out of a move. It caused me to burst into laughter. :)

I love seeing the older names like Hogan and Steamboat. Awesome. :)

Thanks.  This is the first time in a couple years that I've tried and been relatively happy with the results.

I don't like some of the names you're using
Me either really ;)

Raven vs. Nash and Hogan vs. Steamboat?  Is this 1994? ;)
I picked Raven just because my liking him has sort of been rekindled by recent TNA.  Nash I just picked cause... I dunno.  He's a name.  I'm not a Nashiot or anything, don't worry ;)  Hogan I picked because he's a name too.  I still consider myself somewhat of a "Hogan-Fan" just because I grew up on the guy.  I know he's a horrid worker, but you do have to give him some credit, he can get uber-over on the absolute least ammount of effort (in real-loife anyway)  Steamboat I picked because I'm a huge Steamboat mark.  I'd die if he ever made a full or even part-time return to the ring.  You can consider Steamboat and Raven long-term (TNM willing) but Hogan and Nash may be a different story, I might just use them to help build things up.  And yes, this is 1994. *builds time machine*

Seriously, all four guys I wanted to win those matched didn't.
Excellent... everything is falling into place... *maniacal laughter*

You do not rock, old lady.
Just wait till January 3rd... then we will see who does and does not rock, old lady. :)

I like the Cena stuff... I had thought of doing something similar with Cena back before he quit in GCW.
Why thank you.  I've always thought that WWE should turn Cena heel by having him stop rapping.  It would work like a hungry hobo it would.

I appreciate the Severn ass-kissing too. ;)
Whatever gets me in POGW faster ;)

And I'm very glad you're using Cade and Snitsky.  I enjoy both a lot.
I think Cade makes a good blue chipper.  Hence my hiring him.  I think Snitsky makes a good baby killer.  Hence my hiring him. ;)  Me thinks for sweeps I'll have him eat an unborn fetus live on TV.

And you totally need a tag division.  Every circuit needs a singles title and a tag title at the minimum.  Could lead to a fun angle though with the Dudleyz trying to bully Berry into installing a tag division.
All part of my master plan Ryan.  Not exactly sure how I'm gonna build that tag division for sure, but it's coming in due time.  I figured this would be a nice little thing they could do in the mean time.

Very solid opening... don't let this one die. :)
:)  Thanks for the support.  I've already got my cards through the PPV written out.  3 Rapid Fires, 2 more Brute Forces and then "Seasons Sleighings" (Puns rule)

Nice, nice card.  Good writing.
Thank you too!:) I have two fans.

I love the fact that you had Severn "wiggle" out of a move.
I don't think I even realized how funny that was when I wrote it.  Thank you for pointing that out. :) I've very tempted to ask him to do this. ;)

I love seeing the older names like Hogan and Steamboat.  Awesome.
I plan on bringing in certain legends here and there in the future.  No one is safe.  They will mostly do one shot deals (which may or most likely may not involve wrestling)  As long as Rick doesn't quit on me The Dragon will be a mainstay in DCW, Hogan however may not.  He's at least going to be around for the month of January as well though, I can assure you that much.

P.S. To everyone, a website will be coming soon, perhaps tomorrow.
