Match observations:

In our first ever match Jado & Gedo defeated L.A. Park & Super Delfin in an exciting match. Jado & Gedo work great as a tag team and showed that to the fans and the rest of the ISPuro roster here tonight.

Shinzaki vs. Yone was not a long match at all. In fact, it was probably over after Jinsei hit Yone with a hard savate kick that nearly took Yone's head off, but for good measure, Shinzaki went up top and hit a flying headbutt anyway.

Kendo Ka Shin gave up alot of height and weight to Takeshi Rikio, but definently proved that he can take down a big man if he needs too. Ka Shin's showing tonight could provide him a bright future in ISPuro.

The fans seemed a little torn on who to root for, Shiga or Saturn. Surprisingly Shiga got a good ammount of offense in, but fell victim to the Death Valley Driver after getting nailed with a superkick.

Tamon Honda seemed off his game tonight. He didn't seem to show alot of fighting spirit and it proved fatal. He not only lost to Super J, but some might say, gave up a chance at getting the win several times.

BATT got their first win as a team tonight (Shinzaki & Muto being in singles action) and it was over Mike Rotundo & Rick Steiner, better known as the varsity club. It was a big win as alot of fans and critics favored the Varsity Club to take the win as they are two of the best known gaijin in ISPuro. Kea, a gaijin himself, showed critics that he is not to be overlooked when speaking of the best foreigners in the federation by pinning Steiner aft erh Hawaiian Smasher.

From the heavyweights to the light weights. Naomichi Marufuji is one of the many shining up and comers in puro. The match had alot of back and forth early on and Marufuji hit alot of air-based attacks. Naomichi hit the Shiranui, his finisher by starting out in the middle of the ring and running with ARAI untill reaching the turnbuckle, showing that no matter where you are in the ring, you are not safe from the Shiranui.

In the semi-main event ISPuro's senior most members Genichiro Tenryu showed he's still got it as he defeated Super Strong Machine. Tenryu dominated most of the match, but got the win after countering a northern lights suplex by SSM with a DDT and following up with a powerbomb.

In the main event we saw two of ISPuro's biggest stars. Muto & Chono put on the classic that everyone expected. Not the best match ever, but a darn good one and one that may define ISPuro for quite some time. Muto finally got the win after reversing Chono's attempt to whip him into the corner, following it with a handspring elbow, 2 dropkicks to the knee, and the Shining Wizard. Jingu Baseball Stadium may have only been half full, but they gave Keiji Muto a standing ovation to top off the card.

As the credits roll clips are shown of Misawa and Saturn being interviewed after the match. Saturn, apparantly not in a chatty mood, just slammed the door to his lockerroom in heir face as they followed him down the hall, shouting at them in english. Misawa on the other hand gives the traditional interview in his lockerroom as he whipes the sweat off of his face. He says that he didn't expect as much as he got from Saturn in the match, but Saturn made a stupid mistake and he took advantage of it. He jokingly tells the reporters that this is the big leagues and he expects higher quality from his opponents than that.

Match observations:

The second card in the Pilgrimage to Glory tour for ISPuro has been dissapointing regarding turn out and viewer ratings. While attendence was slightly up from the last event, TV ratings took a nose-dive from 4.3 to 1.8. Management is still hoping that this is just a result of the opening stages of the federation and not a permenant trend.

Tonight was the begining of the round robin tag tournament that will end on the last card of the Pilgrimage to Glory tour, resulting in the crowning of the first ISPuro tag team champions. The first match in the tourny saw the Varsity Club defeat Taiyo Kea & Jinsei Shinzaki of B.A.T.T. Rotundo and Steiner were on a roll tonight, with alot of great double team moves and just out-wrestling their opponents in general. Everytime Kea or Shinzaki would gain the upperhand the veterens that are the Varsity Club would just snatch it right back. They made a good showing that this tourny could be swept by Steiner & Rotundo.

Japanese Diet member Hiroshi Hase has taken another break off of his official duties to sign on for a match here in ISPuro, this time facing Mohammed Yone. Yone looked alot better in the ring this time than at the last ISPuro event. Yone made a few attempts at his finisher, but none were successfull. Despite that, he did get a few near falls on Hase, but Hiroshi proved too much for him in the end and took Yone out after dodging a high knee.

Super Strong Machine pretty much man-handled L.A. Park in our next match. L.A. Park did manage to kick out of the Machine Suplex, but all it did was prolong his beating L.A. Park was beaten so badly by Super Strong Machine that he had to be helped to the back after the match.

Honda definently played the luck card against Sakoda, only getting the win after using a small package as a counter for Sakoda's T-bone suplex. The match had alot of back and forth, trading of reversals and submissions through out it's 6 minutes and was surprisingly fast-paced for these two wrestlers.

Takuma Sano knew what he had to do against Kenichiro ARAI: Keep him grounded. Thats why Sano locked in submission after submission on ARAI. Eventually he strayed from this strategy and when ARAI was out of the ring, went for a tope. Unfortunently ARAI dodged it and it looked like Sano had been knocked out cold. He rolled Sano back in the ring and hit the Hanshin Tiger Suplex. ARAI should have paid more attention to his ring placement though because Sano's foot ended up on the ropes after the move, stopping the three count. It would have been over right then an there if it hadn't been for that little mistake, and that little mistake ended up costing ARAI the match.

The second and last of tonight's round robin matches featured Jado & Gedo facing Akira Taue & Toshiaki Kawada. Due to their past success in singles action, Taue & Kawada were favored to win this match, but Jado & Gedo reminded them that singles wrestling is not the same as tag team wrestling. This ties Jado & Gedo with the Varsity Club with one win each.

The semi-main event aws the best match of the night. TAKA & SUWA defeated Marufuji & Delfin in a great show of athletisism and technical talent. Marufuji held on in TAKA's Just Facelock for 32 seconds that must have seemed like forever. Even TAKA looked surprise that he was hanging in their.

The main event started off with Misawa in charge, then about halfway through Saturn had a burst of offense that left Misawa reeling. Misawa came back though and from then on it could have been anyone's match. Saturn made a seemingly rookie mistake by getting back in the ring without really paying attention and as soon as he got to his feet he was clocked with the dreaded running elbow smash. For the pin.

Match observations:

As the credits roll footage of interviews with Chono, Saturn, Misawa & Muto are shown. Muto & Misawa sit next to eachother in the same locker room while Chono & Saturn are in seperate ones. Muto & Misawa say have they wre both caught off-guard by Perry Saturn's abilities. Misawa adds that he isn't done with Saturn though, he feels Perry got lucky tonight and their next meeting will not end the same way as tonight. Chono says how he was a little upset that his singles match with Muto turned into a tag match with Misawa and Saturn. Finally, Perry Saturn (who is much more animated like he'd be in an American federation) said he showed Misawa what the f[bleep]ing big leagues are all about. And that this isn't over. He wants Misawa in a singles match so he can tear him limb from limb. He finishes things off by throwing a few chairs around and pushing the camera man out the door violently.

Tonight's card opened up with a big upset in front of another half-filled arena and a somewhat dismal television audience compared to what ISPuro officials feel it should be at. Mohammed Yone got a major surprise victory over the veteren Genichiro Tenryu after hitting him with a hard jumping knee to the face. Yone was in rare form tonight, dominating most of the match against the 'shoe in' to win.

Continuing our round robin tag tourny to crown the first ever ISPuro tag champions, Akira Taue & Toshiaki added a win to their loss from last week against Jado & Gedo. This win now gives them a total of 5 points in the standings. Dispite the large following behind the stable known as B.A.T.T. or Bad-Ass Translate Trading, the crowd was behind Kawada & Taue all the way.

Next we have a lightweight battle between Kenichiro ARAI & Super Delfin that ended up being anything but. These two put on a fair showing, but at a much slower pace than the crowd expected. This expectation might have been a let down to some, but the crowd wasn't DISinterested by any means. Towards the end of the match it looked like ARAI's headbutt's were effecting him as much as they were Delfin as he favored that strike throughout the encounter.

Another fairly lightweight match, though this one with a bit faster pace. TAKA Michinoku dominated the rookie Shiga. TAKA didn't give much room for Kentaro to get on the offensive, but when he did he hit some pretty hard hitting moves that looked as if they could turn the tide of the match, but TAKA showed that he isn't world reknown for nothing and in each instance quickly regained the upper hand. In the end TAKA tossed Shiga with a quick rana and quickly scrambled over to make the cover, grabbing a hand full of tights. If the referee had caught that, it might not have been over then, but things certainly seemed to be heading in that direction none the less.

Our second round robin tuorny match was supposed to see Jado & Gedo facing the Varsity Club, but unfortunently Mike Rotundo was not able to come to the show this evening and Super J was chosen to take his place. Rick seemed smug when Tano announced Rotundo's absence to the crowd and that Super J would be his replacement for this evening's match, but when Tano announced that even though there was no Rotundo that this match would still be a tourny match Steiner was noticably upset. Jado & Gedo pulled pulled off their normal display of tag moves onto Steiner and especially onto Super J, who isn't used to tag team wrestling.

Takeshi Rikio had a breeze of a match until the end when Sakoda seemed to be mounting a comeback untill Rikio almost took his head off with a short arm lariat.

The submission match between Kendo Ka Shin and Tamon Honda was the semi-main event. Honda and Ka Shin exchanged moves a great deal in this match. It was almost devoid of punches and kicks. Honda would execute some roman-greco wrestling moves and Ka Shin would answer with some quick takedowns into submissions. Towards the end the match deteriorated from the technical match it started out as and saw Kendo losing his temper and the match being taken to the outside. Ka Shin didn't want to let the submission go after the match, and had to be pried off by the reffing staff.

The main event seemed mostly to be Perry Saturn vs. Mitsuharu Misawa. They spent most of the time in the ring battling it out. They threw everything at eachother. All of the moves that each are best known for were executed untill finally Saturn hit a DVD to get the pinfall on Misawa.

Insider Report...

- Mike Rotundo was unable to make the latest ISPuro even due to a car accident suffered on the way to the event earlier today. He is reportedly ok and will not miss any other events.

Match observations:

As the credits roll highlights are shown from the previous ISPuro events involving the round robin tag tourny. It finishes off with Jado & Gedo's win tonight.

ISPuro officials are extremely pleased with their turn out for the 4th Pilgrimage to Glory show. Feelings were that it would be another low draw, possibly worse than the previous 3 shows due to this being the first time ISPuro has preformed outside of the Tokyo area. Hiroshima's fans provided a much needed morale boost for the ISPuro lockerroom. Also, ISPuro was pleased to get the TV ratings back to find that their show did a 3.3%.

The opening match of the evening saw Sakoda get as much cheating into a match behind the ref's back as he possibly could. With all the stuff Sakoda pulled Hase still managed to soundly beat him, proving to the youngster that skill and fighting spirit defeats cheating virtually always.

The two oldest competitors in ISPuro teamed up tonight to take on two of the younger guys. The veterens pulled it off but not without a few close falls. Tenryu and Honda didn't play the 'tag wrestler' game, sticking pretty much exclusively to single's move, while on the other hand SUWA & Michinoku went for the double team moves every chance they got. Unfortunently for them most of their attempts ending in ruin as Tenryu and Honda would get in a counter and switch the momentum back in their favor.

The first tourny match of the night was Jado & Gedo vs. BATT. Jado & Gedo knew that if they won this match they would without a shadow of a doubt be the new tag team champs. If they lost however, they'd be tied with the winner of the Varsity Club/Taue & Kawada match. They went for the sure thing and gave it their all to become the first ISPuro tag team champions after from of Gedo's famous Frog Splashes.

Kentaro Shiga vs. Masahiro Chono looked to be an easy win for Chono. The match went in his favor pretty much the whole way. Shiga hung in there though, even going so far as to hang on without submitting in Chono's dreaded STF for almost a full minute! Finally after fighting out of the STF Kentaro exploded with a giant burst of offense, eventually locking in a jujigatame to make Chono submit for the upset victory. And not only did Kentaro score the upset, he got it in ISPuro's first ever 5-star match!

Mohammed Yone had something to prove tonight against Takuma Sano. There have been murmurs around the puro world that Yone may not have been the right choice to send to the big cross-promotion GWA event coming up in December. Sano is considered to be one of ISPuro's most solid workers in regard to overall talent in the ring and consistency. Many said that this would be a proving moment for Yone. If he were to lose this match then it would just show that Yone's victory over Tenryu was just a fluke of sorts and that his placement in the GWA international title gauntlet was a large mistake. Yone however battled Sano in a sound match that saw alot of back and forth, but with Yone never really letting Sano come close to victory.

The second tag title tourny was simple a formality. Varsity Club got the win but it was bittersweet as Jado & Gedo had already won the titles earlier in the night, not losing a single match. They almost didn't win it, as Mike Rotundo had to make the save after the Nodowa/Powerbomb combo. After breaking the pinfall, Kawada was let himself get a bit distracted by Rotundo and let down his guard. When he turned around he was met with a hard Steinerline and the Dog-Faced Gremlin made the pin.

Kendo Ka Shin was surprisingly able to hold his own against Keiji Muto. Ka Shin is considered to be one of the most under-rated wrestlers in ISPuro and he has really been showing what he can do. The battled Muto to a double count out which while not a win is still not a loss. He let his emotions get the better of him (as he is known for) and waffled Muto with a chair after the match.

ISPuro's first real taste of mexican style wrestling came tonight in the semi-main event as L.A. Park got revenge for what happened a few shows ago at the hands of Super Strong Machine. Just like in lucha libre there was quite a bit of ripping and tearing at masks by these two wrestlers. It seemed they were more focused on hurting eachother or unmasking eachother than winning the match though as there wasn't a single pinfall attempt untill Super Strong Machine hit the Machine Suplex to score the first fall. After that L.A. Park kicked it up a notch and within minutes scored 2 falls to win the match.

Perry Saturn finally got his wish in this week's main event. He got Mitsuharu Misawa in a single's match and boy was it epic. There were several big spots and the crowd broke into chants of "MI-SA-WA! MI-SA-WA" several times. It did seem that Misawa carried Saturn a little bit through certain portions of the match, but to the unkeen eye both men came out looking extremely good. Saturn hit a series of 3 Death Valley Drivers, one right after another on Misawa and somehow he kicked out at 2.9. It finally ended after Misawa hit the Tiger Driver for the 3-count.

This ends the "Pilgrimage to Glory" tour. ISPuro has new tag champions and the next thing to do is see who will be the first ISPuro Heavyweight champion as ISPuro brings you the "Maximum Zenith 04" Tour.

End of Tour Report:

Currently ISPuro feels that the following people are the largest draws with the fans and have the most popularity (Hot List)

Kendo Ka Shin (8) - ISPuro plans to continue pushing Kendo Ka Shin

Kenichiro ARAI (8) - ISPuro plans to keep ARAI in the low to midcard, though they want to make his name synonymous with the lightweight's of ISPuro

Kentaro Shiga (8) - ISPuro feels that Kentaro Shiga can have a solid role in the future with ISPuro if his popularity continues.

L.A. Park (8) - ISPuro at the moment plans to keep L.A. Park in the midcard.

Mitsuharu Misawa (8) - ISPuro plans to keep Misawa in or at least extremely near the main event

Tamon Honda (8) - ISPuro is admittedly surprised with Honda's popularity. Now knowing this they are high on pushing him up the card and possibly to the main event before age takes too much of a toll.

ISPuro feels that these workers are currently the least popular in terms of draw (Not List)

Mike Rotundo (2) - ISPuro continues to remain high on Mike Rotundo and the Varsity Club as a whole. They find his lack of popularity a bit odd, but hope to build it up a bit in the coming weeks.

Perry Saturn (1) - ISPuro is not especially surprised by this. ISPuro now feels that Perry Saturn has done his job in the main event against Misawa and plans are to place him in the lower/midcard. The assuptions of this result by ISPuro is one of the factors that lead them to place Yone in the International title match at the GWA supercard instead of Saturn.

Match observations:

As the credits roll Jado & Gedo are interviewed briefly and highlights are shown from the card's tournament actions.

It was the start of the Maximum Zenith Tournament and it turned out to be a classic match as Rick Steiner faced Mitsuharu Misawa in the first round of competition. This match has surely set the standard for this, the debut of the annual ISPuro singles tourny. The match itself was not that long, only lasting a bit over 6 minutes, but it was action packed and both wrestlers showed all of their fighting spirit. It was apparant that Misawa was favoring his back after taking a few consecutive backbreakers from Steiner. Finally after Steiner barely kicked out of the tiger driver, Misawa hit a Tiger Suplex for the pin, making him the first to advance in toward the ISPuro Heavyweight title.

The second match of the tournament lasted more than twice as long but managed to retain the same quality and excitement level of the first as two of ISPuro's younger competitors Kentaro Shiga & Sakoda fought it out to advanced to the next round. Sakoda managed to fight out of the Shiga Sleeper once, but he just couldn't do it twice and was forced to submit.

Next up Toshiaki Kawada faced Kendo Ka Shin in yet another Maximum Zenith classic. It really could have gone either way most of the match as these two exchanged submissions kicks, and reversals. Ka Shin tried to work the arm as much as possible to wear it down. Finally Kendo took Kawada down and locked in his famous Jujigatame. Kawada held out as long as he could and to his credit he never did submit, passing out from the pain before he had a chance to.

Tamon Honda i has become an unlikely celebrity here in ISPuro. While his match with Super Strong Machine wasn't quite on the same level as the previous 3, it was nothing to sneeze at. Tamon had the crowd chanting for him several times as he'd show up SSM. Once Honda hit the Rolling Olympic Hell you could have counted to 20, SSM was out.

It looked like L.A. Park knew that Mohammed Yone has been on the way up these past few weeks. L.A. Park tried to be ready for him, but it looked like Yone is getting better than anticipated. This match saw the ISPuro debut of Yone's finisher, the devistating Muscle Buster. Up untill this point in ISPuro Yone hadn't used it, but now you've got to think that the rest of the wrestlers in the tournament will be on the look out for it if they have to face Yone on the way to the Heavyweight title.

Chono vs. Marufuji was veteren vs. rookie and Chono showed why he is the veteren that he is. He not only dominated alot of the match, but toyed with Naomichi alot, locking in the STF and then releasing it to unleash more damaging moves, then locking it in once again. Marufuji looked to have landed almost on his head from the release german suplex that Chono hit him with.

Kenichiro ARAI gave up alot of height and alot of weight to Akira Taue tonight in our second to last first round match-up. ARAI's head just wasn't hard enough. It seemed like every headbutt he'd throw at Taue didn't effect him in the least. He kept at it though, and it lost him. Taue hit a couple of his signature moves and finished it off with his Nodowa Otoshi.

The second to last match of the evening capped off the night's tournament on-going on a fairly good note. Muto & Rotundo didn't quite put on the classic that we saw earlier in the evening, but it was definently entertaining. Rotundo kicked out of several pin attempts by Muto after some devistating moves that looked like they would end the match. Rotundo didn't get but a few pinfalls of his own in before Muto finished him off with a shining wizard.

The main event saw the first title defense of Jado & Gedo and it was a successful one. They faced Taiyo Kea, who they faced on their way to the titles, and a different member of B.A.T.T. in Hiroshi Hase. Jado & Gedo put on their usual spectacle of tag team moves that will make them tough to beat in the future, at one point hitting Hiroshi Hase with a double diving headbutt from opposite corners that got a big reaction from the crowd despite their being heels.

Insider Report...

- Mitsuharu Misawa suffered an injury to his back that will keep him out of action for a short period of time, so even though Rick Steiner lost tonight, he will advance in the tourny. Doctors have said that he will be out around 3 weeks or so meaning he will MISS the GWA Supercard! He was scheduled to be in the GWA International title match. ISPuro has announced that they have decided on a replacement that will be announced in a press conference. Clips from the press conference will be shown at the next ISPuro card.

Footage is shown from ISPuro's press conference concerning who will get Mitsuharu Misawa's spot in the match for the GWA International title at the GWA Supercard. President Tano and Mohammed Yone sit at a table along with a few other various ISPuro officials in front of a room full of reporters. President Tano makes a brief statement about Misawa's injury and how it is unfortunate that Misawa will not be able to be an ISPuro representitive at the GWA Supercard in London in a few weeks, but he says they think they've found a suitable replacement... GENICHIRO TENRYU! With that said Mohammed Yone gets a looks of disbelief on his face and once Tenryu walks into the room Yone looks enraged. "I can't believe this!" he shouts, "I don't deserve to be put in competition with him, i'm better than he is." Tenryu pretty much ignores him, making a comment about his imaturity here and there in a condiscending manor. Yone storms out of the press conference as Tenryu continues to talk to reporters. Before we can see what else Tenryu has to say we are brought back to Sogo Taiikukan Rainbow Hall and back to the action. Match observations:

As the credits roll Super Delfin is interviewed in his lockerroom. He talks a little on how he is looking forward to representing ISPuro in the upcoming GWA Supercard. After the interview clips are shown from the press conference involving Yone & Tenryu as the credits finish.

We start things off tonight with L.A. Park facing one half of the tag team champions Gedo. Surprisingly Jado was not at ringside to give his partner the assist which cost them. L.A. Park layed Gedo out with his infamous chair shot to get the pin and cheers from the fans. Jado made his prescence known after the match however and will try to extract revenge for his fallen friend at the next ISPuro event!

With Rick Steiner now back in the tournament for the ISPuro Heavyweight title, Mike Rotundo is left without a partner this week and thrust into singles action. He faired well though and defeated a tough opponent in B.A.T.T. member Taiyo Kea.

Next on the card Perry Saturn took on Takeshi Rikio, who was heavily favored to win, and made him tap out to a kneelock submission. Saturn knew he had to take the legs out on the big man and proceeded to do so untill he just couldn't take it anymore.

Takuma Sano really gave Super J the what's-what here tonight, dominating the 4 and a half minutes this match went on for. Super J seriously never had a chance, he just kept getting pummeled.

Our first Maximum Zenith tournament match featured Kentaro Shiga facing Rick Steiner, who some feel shouldn't even be where he's at tonight since he lost to the now injured Mitsuharu Misawa in the first round. But with Misawa out and ISPuro not wanting to give anyone a bye, Rick Steiner was allowed to continue despite his defeat. He definently is making good on this second chance though, as he forced Shiga to tap out, allowing him to advance, this time fairly, in the tournament.

The second tournament match was going to be a blow-out. Both men looked like they could win the match and are feasible possibilities to go all the way. Kendo Ka Shin is a young guy, great submission artist and technical wrestler and even though he's a lightweight he's no stranger to winning against heavier guys. Tamon Honda on the other hand has become an unlikely hero in ISPuro. Expected upon hiring to just be a solid midcarder for as long as his age and body would allow, he is quickly becoming one of the most over wrestlers in ISPuro. In fact, many are considering his not being included in the GWA Supercard to be a huge mistake. Honda got big and important win over Ka Shine, which will only fuel his popularity in the weeks to come.

After the footage we saw before this match started it was apparant that Yone was not a happy camper. Amazingly, his rage was an advantage against Chono as he managed to pick up the victory to advance closer to the title, almost leaving Chono with a knee injury in the process.

Muto vs. Taue was everything it was expected to be. A good, solid strong-style match between two good workers. The match was solid and smooth, but most knew that Muto would take the win over Taue.

Our main event was a little bit different than usual. A singles match featuring two of our lightweight workers, Super Delfin and TAKA Michinoku battling it out in the squared circle. There was alot of back and forth and trading of big spots and signature moves, but when it was all said and done Super Delfin showed Michinoku why it was him on the GWA Supercard and not TAKA.
