Greetings!

My name is Tim McDonald and I have the pleasure of being the main reporter for JGP, otherwise known as James Goodwin Promotions. Every month I'll be here to update you with all the on goings in the federation that you, the fan haven't seen! Pop on some music and prepare for a fun ride as we get started with the first volume of the Freedom Press. Good name eh? Every news story will have my comments, followed directly by quotes from the wrestlers themselves!

___

James Goodwin forms JGP

I assume most of you know that James Goodwin has opened a promotion...otherwise what are you doing reading this?! James Goodwin is a international star and has been off-on in the business for some time now. Over the years he's saved quite a bit of dough and he's using that money to found the promotion with the help of some key friends with lots of money. Goodwin has asked some of his friends from all over the wrestling world, and some people he just knew by reputation to come to the promotion. Why don't I just pass this over to Goodwin himself to explain this in more depth?

Goodwin: "I have wrestled for a decade, and I have seen some great talent come and go over the years. With this promotion, I want to bring the best together under one branch regardless of where they side as a person. There are people in this federation that I know close...those I hate and those I just have respect for but they are here because they ARE the best currently in the American independent scene. I plan on crushing them all like flies, but I plan on providing a good show in doing so!"

Goodwin even at this point in his career still has some cockiness it seems...the question is, with this high of a talent level, can he still reign at top?

____

Terry Rush's chance

Stevie .C has made it publicly known that he wants another match against James Goodwin! The two superpowers fought one time in Burning Spirit Puroresu which Stevie .C won, but since then Goodwin has claimed it was a fluke. Well the talking is over and Stevie is here to shut Goodwin up! However, Stevie wasn't planning on long time Goodwin enemy Sean King to align himself with his bitter enemy and join the fight AGAINST Stevie! Pressed against the wall, Stevie has asked independent superstar Terry Rush, a highly charismatic good guy to join him in this struggle. Can Stevie lead an unproven Terry Rush against two of the most destructive and unpredictable big men in the history of the sport or will Stevie find himself up against a brick wall?

Rush: "I'm proud to be given the chance to team with Stevie. It was an honor for him to approach me and I aim to live up to his standard! Together we'll fight and die as a team in this war. Watch out Goodwin, watch out King...because my Rush Special is aimed right for ya!"

Stevie .C: "Goodwin has claimed a lot since we last fought, and it's high time that I made him shut his overgrown mouth for good. I've fought all over the world just like he has and I won't be afraid to stand toe to toe with him. He might have awesome power and a wicked lariat, but I have skill and the Iron Blaster not to mention the Chill Factor which will put him on ice!"

King: "Why did I side with Goodwin? He's put me through hell but in the end I've enjoyed it! I'm a different man then I was even months ago, and now the darkness has overtaken my soul...for this I will destroy them all!"

Goodwin: "I look into your soul Stevie...and I smell fear! I am GOD and by challenging me you can only die in your pathetic attempt! What happened in BSPW was a fluke and NEVER, EVER will be repeated again! Not only will I take your head with my lariat, but I'll break your body into pieces with the Firedrop! Beg for your career! I rule this federation!"

The Arch-Angels set their sights high

Michael Arias & Gabriel Satou are two of the best wrestlers that haven't been picked up by a big time federation...Until now! Goodwin knew of them from various federation's he has competed in and spent top dollar bringing them into the federation. Arias & Satou are direct opposites of Goodwin in personality but they excepted the deal none the less. Both men have set their sights high immediately as both want the JGP title AND the Tag titles but in doing so they have to cross the path of a legendary team in the form of Death & Destruction! Arias & Satou had these things to say...

Arias: "I fight for what I believe in, and I try to stay on the straight path. By this course it has led myself and Satou here, to this federation to claim our destinies. We both have our eyes set for the singles title and the tag titles, and we won't rest until we have them. We fight for truth and justice for all people...and because of this we can not allow such filth as Gravedigger & Reaper to continue to plauge everyone! We will eradicate you!"

Satou: "I will beat everyone in my path, even Arias himself to claim the titles I want! Gravedigger. Reaper...If you stand in our way, you will be beaten and we will be victorious! We are followers of a power far greater then your "evil" and by helms light we will be victorious! ONWARD TO VICTORY!"

Johnston's challenge

Shane Johnston is outraged over his placement in the initial top ten! Johnston claims he is a international megastar(They LOVE him in Germany!) and still one half of the BETA tag champions(Even though the promotion collapsed...and even though he lost the title.) Johnston challenged anyone ranked above him in the top ten to a match and he was answered by Jonathan Byron! These two could not be further from each other in personality. Johnston is a loud mouth braggart while Byron is a legit tough man who is very passive. This could be a WAR!

Johnston: "What is this?! They demean me with such a low placement! I'm a tag champion damnit! I'm in high demand! I could be working in GERMANY! Byron, you were foolish to accept my challenge...I don't even know who you are! It'll only take one Highlight Flash piledriver to take you down, and move me one step closer to becoming an American Icon like I am in Tokyo!"

Byron: "Run your mouth Johnston. It doesn't matter to me. I've fought for everything in my life, and I am prepared to fight you for this. Underestimate me all you want but I will prove you wrong when I make you submit to my Figure Four Clutch!"

First show

I have learned that the first JGP show will be titled "James Goodwin Presents: Enter the Firestorm" yeesh that's a lot to type. Anyway, the main event will be Stevie .C & Terry Rush v.s. James Goodwin & Sean King in what is sure to be a barn-burner! Arias & Satou will get their shot at Death & Destruction along with Johnston v.s. Byron! Keep a look out for this show coming near you!

Issac Anderson v.s. Jayson Griffith

These men aren't strangers to each other, having fought in CWD together. Jayson got a few screams of "FLY!" as he was introduced but other then that the fans largely didn't have any strong idea of who these two men were. Anderson didn't wait for the bell and charged his smaller opponent but Jayson was waiting for it and moved out of the way. Anderson smashed into the corner hard, sneding himself staggering backwards into a roll up from Jayson! Anderson kicked out at 2.5 but the wanna-be Griffin was not to be denied. Jayson dropkicked Anderson in the face before locking on a side headlock. It proved to not be a strong move as Anderson using his size advantage powered to his feet while still in the hold and threw Jayson off. Jayson bounced into the ropes but was caught by a kitchen sink knee to the midsection making Jayson do a full flip! Anderson took control with his simple power offense before downing Jayson with a powerslam. Anderson then amazed fans by springboarding off the ropes with an elbow to Jayson! The move proved to be the end for the Griffin as Anderson maintained control the rest of the bout, lifted Jayson up onto his shoulders with his face pointing away from Anderson's body and he planted him with his reverse Powerslam finisher. However Jayson shocked the fans by kicking out at the last possible moment! Anderson was enraged and began to pound on Jayson with clubbing blows. Anderson then lifted Jayson and sat him on the top rope before following him up there. Anderson appeared to be setting Jayson up for a TOP ROPE verison of his Reverse Powerslam but Jayson fought the move. He couldn't fight a brutal second rope Superplex however and the move knocked Jayson out cold. Anderson put one foot on his fallen opponent letting the count be registered.

Issac Anderson defeated Jayson Griffith with a Second Rope Superplex at 10'39. (**)

El Halcon v.s. El Fuego Azul

El Halcon entered the ring first to his "Soul Warp" theme song. He was accompanied by his tag partner Kojiro Kanesaka. Halcon got a negative response, some fans remembering him from his WCPW stint. His opponent however got a BIG response from the crowd! El Fuego Azul entered the ring to a massive reaction from the former CWD loyal crowd. Coming out with Azul was Jason Taylor, his young tag partner to even the odds! The match started slower then you'd expect with two Lucha Libra trained wrestlers who know how to fly. Halcon seemed determined to prove he was a better overall worker then his opponent and took Azul to the ground. However that proved to be a mistake as Azul schooled Halcon on the mat with a variety of submission moves, ending his opponent scurring out of the ring to regroup. Kojiro fanned Halcon with a towel while saying in Japanese "He's scared of you!" And Azul responded by diving over the top onto both men! Azul recovered first, rolling in Halcon to break the count and covered. Halcon however kicked out at two and then rolled clean across the ring to the other side. Once out there he jumped over the guardrail and sat in the crowd to regroup, having learned his lesson about being too close to the ring! At the count of eight Halcon slowly climbed back into the ring and blinded Azul with a poke the eyes. Halcon took control of the match with a dropkick to Azul's knee, followed by a dragon screw legwhip to the same leg. He then threw in a Shining Wizard to immortalize his favorite wrestler! Halcon applied a spinning toe hold to the injured leg, but Azul broke the hold up with a stiff kick to his face. Azul got up but was favoring his leg, and not quite as spry to the attack as he was earlier in the bout but he opened up on Halcon with chops to his chest before throwing in an ill advised dropkick. Halcon took the brunt, but the move did no good to Azul's leg which he immediately injured anew. Azul fought the pain though and ran into the ropes...but was tripped by Kojiro on the outside! Azul fell but got back up and baseball slided Kojiro as Taylor rounded the post and attacked Kojiro! Azul watched but Halcon ran at him from behind and planted a knee square in his back! Azul bounced off the ropes backwards, and Halcon quickly rolled him up with a HEAPING of Azul's tights to gain the upset win!

El Halcon defeated El Fuego Azul with a roll up at 9'39. (**½)

Halcon got out of the ring pronto before Azul could recover and ran up the entranceway. Only he forgot all about Kojiro who was bitterly battling Jason Taylor at ringside. It suddenly dawned on Halcon that something was missing and he began yelling for Kojiro. Kojiro, hearing this, began to try desperately to get away from Taylor but the young wrestler would have none of it! Out of nowhere though, Taylor was blindsided by Shane Johnston! Johnston being best friends with Halcon came to the aid of his former HANGUN friends and a two on one battle began...until the crowd exploded as Jonathan Byron rushed down! Suddenly the four men were paired off with Kojiro & Taylor battling up the entrance way and Johnston & Byron in the ring...and the bell sounded! Their match was on!

Shane Johnston v.s. Jonathan Byron

Jonathan Byron was tearing into Shane Johnston with a vicious assault as the bell sounded. Byron was in the middle of pounding Johnston with middle kicks in the corner but head referee Mike Black pulled Byron away...giving Johnston time to nail Byron with a forearm shot to the head! Byron stumbled and that was all Johnston needed! He landed a beautiful dropkick to the face of Byron and began dropping elbow after elbow on Byron. After at least six elbow drops, he covered but Byron was far too strong yet to be pinned. Johnston merely shrugged and locked on a reverse chinlock to put pressure on Byron. However, Byron was quick to fight out of the hold as he somehow managed to flip Johnston over with some kind of judo takedown! Byron landed on top of Johnston in almost a Mixed Martial Arts mount position and he began to pound on Johnston with open palm strikes. Since the strikes were open palm, the referee didn't pull Byron off as Johnston covered up for dear life! Johnston managed to push Byron backwards at the same time Johnston lifted his legs, and somehow managed to cradle Byron! The cradle caught Byron off guard and almost netted Johnston the surprise victory but Byron kicked out and then proceeded to move away from Johnston. Both men rose to their feet and stared at one another...then both slowly nodded. It was obvious both men had underestimated the other and it wouldn't happen again!

This time they locked up, with Byron snapping out of with with a slick armbar. Johnston however was ready and countered with his own armbar. Byron sweeped the legs of Johnston and locked on a legbar submission. Johnston punted Byron in the face and blood went flying. Byron recoiled in pain but Johnston was quickly on him with a jumping knee to Byron's midsection, doubling over the bleeding Detroit native! Byron crumbled from the blow eventually. Wether it was from his nose or from the actual blow is uncertain but what wasn't was the fact that Shane Johnston was in firm control! Johnston backed away from Byron to showboat to the fans...over and over. Johnston was so concerned with pissing off the fans that he gave Byron enough time to get his senses back. By the time Johnston turned back to his opponent, Byron was alert and tried for a right cross. Johnston ducked the blow and quickly bodyslamed Byron to the mat. Byron was smart however, and hooked Johnston's leg on the way down sending Johnston down and Byron quickly locked on an ankle hold! Johnston thrashed around but got to the ropes. Byron rose to his feet, his nose losing blood and with a near wild look in his eyes, he signaled for Johnston to stand. Johnston stood but was met with a boot to the midsection which was followed by a cradle piledriver! Johnston was spiked by his own finisher as Byron covered...for 2.9! Byron climbed to the top rope and dove off with a flying legdrop! Johnston's body bounced from the impact as Byron covered again and again Johnston kicked out! The crowd roared with approval to this matchup as Byron lifted the near dead-weight Johnston to his feet and sized him up for a running palm thrust. Byron ran at Johnston but Johnston ducked the thrust and in one motion lifted Byron and planted him on the back of his head with a German Suplex! Johnston held the bridge but Byron managed to kick out at 2.9 and one half! Both men laid on the mat before Byron began to stir, followed by Johnston. Both reached their knees and began to hit each other with fists. One shot after another, neither man falling down. Finally a BIG shot from Byron sent Johnston sprawling onto his back looking up at the ceiling. Byron slowly got to his feet and walked over to Johnston. He grabbed Johnston's legs and quickly applied his Figure Four Clutch submission hold! Johnston was in the middle of the ring with no where to go as he began to maniacally reach for anything to help him reach the ropes. Byron began to wrench on the hold and Johnston looked like he was about to give up from the pain...and the bell rang! The crowd cheered as Byron released the hold and raised his hands above his head in victory...until it was announced that...

Jonathan Byron and Shane Johnston fought to a Twenty minute time limit draw. (*** 1/4)

The crowd booed viciously as Byron slumped in defeat having not put his foe away in the allotted time. Johnston used the ring ropes to pull himself up on his bad leg as the booing turned into cheering from the fans for the excellent match they had just seen. Byron, obviously touched by this walked over to Johnston and put out his hand for a hand shake. Johnston looked at him and slowly began to stick his hand out there before SPITTING in Byron's face and blindsiding him with a one-leg lariat! Johnston climbed on top of Byron and began to pound on him with closed fists and then grabbed his head and started RAMMING the back of his head into the mat! Wrestlers spilled out from the back to pull Johnston off of Byron, who was out cold from this assault. They pulled Johnston away from Byron and started to take him to the back but he managed to break free and stomped Byron right in the face before he was tackled to the mat by Terry Rush! Rush held Johnston down as other wrestlers grabbed his arms and legs as they began to HAUL him literally from the unconscious Jonathan Byron! A ring doctor climbed into the ring to check on Byron who hadn't even moved from the stomp to the face. Byron started to stir and wrestlers came out again, and this time helps Byron get to his feet and walk to the back while the crowd showed their appreciation with a loud cheer! Byron weakly raised one fist to show that his appreciation before nearly collapsing. After a short walk, Byron was taken to the back and not seen for the rest of the night.

Richard Cross v.s. John Hempy

Neither man got a huge reaction from the crowd on their way to the ring. The fans seemed to be a bit stunned by the incident before this match. Richard Cross got the bigger reaction with his getup which if you haven't seen it is a blue robe like thing, blue headband and blue pants under the robe. Hempy tried to charge Cross from the opening bell...but Cross held him at bay with garlic. This only worked for about two seconds before Hempy reasoned out that he WASN'T a vampire and then he took Crosses head off with a lariat. Hempy stomped the downed Cross but Cross wouldn't stay down and eventually fought his way back up with elbows to Hempy's midsection. Cross then blitzed Hempy with a lightning fast enzugiri which downed the big brawler. Cross showed off his quickness and climbed to the top as Hempy reached his feet. Cross dove off with a PICTURE perfect flying neckbreaker drop and covered...got the three count!?

Richard Cross defeated John Hempy with the Holy Cross Breaker at 6'28. (3/4*)

Arch-Angels v.s. Death & Destruction

The Arch-Angels consisting of Michael Arias & Gabriel Satou entered the ring to Arias's "Born in a Mourning Hall"  first to hefty cheers from the crowd. Their opponents though didn't get that much of a reaction per say as it was a dark foreboding from the crowd in the "..Oh god" type mold. Gravedigger & Reaper entered followed by their manager Hell's Angel, a woman who used to manage them during the CWD. The match started off with Arias & Reaper against each other. Reaper had a size advantage and enough speed to move comfortably but Arias was just too fast for him. Arias took to a good strategy to take out Reaper's legs, which if done would eliminate their team finisher the Death after Destruction. Arias & Satou tagged in and out working on Reaper's leg, but Arias made a crucial mistake as he tried a diving knee to Reaper's leg, which he missed. Reaper tagged in Gravedigger and the momentum of the match changed very rapidly. Arias & Satou seemingly bounced off Gravedigger with nothing seeming to work against him. Gravedigger began to club both men down, but with the hearts of warriors they rallied back and sent Gravedigger down. Reaper tried to come in but Arias disposed on him with a superkick. Satou then hooked Gravedigger and dropped him on his head with the Golden Gates Driver! Satou covered...but was pulled out of the ring by Hell's Angel! Satou SLAPPED her and climbed back into the ring, only to be hit by a running big boot by Reaper! Satou stumbled and fell as order was finally restored.  Satou rallied back and tried to tag in Arias but behind the referee's back, Hells Angel smashed Arias in the knee with her steel baton!  Arias collapsed off the apron holding his knees. Satou managed to reach his corner and reached out for the tag...but no one was there! A look of shock crossed his face...and a look of anger came across his face as he turned around and charged Gravedigger! However the charge was foolish, and Gravedigger caught him and planted him with a one arm side slam. Gravedigger tagged in Reaper, who climbed to the top as Gravedigger put Satou up on his shoulders in a Powerbomb position. Reaper then jumped off the top and BLASTED Satou in the face with a kick, and at that exact moment Gravedigger snapped Satou down on his neck with a Powerbomb! Gravedigger held the powerbomb and the three count was awarded. Death after Destruction indeed.

Death And Destruction defeated Arch-Angels when Gravedigger pinned Satou following the Death after Destruction combo at 12'09. (**)

Gravedigger picked up Satou and began to lift him back up onto his shoulders when out of nowhere came Richard Cross! He climbed in the ring and attacked Gravedigger. While Cross kept Death & Destruction distracted, Arias managed to crawl into the ring and join the fight. Eventually, Hell's Angel pulled her men from the ring and screeched "ANOTHER DAY!". Arias helped up Satou but Satou pushed him away and yelled "WHERE WERE YOU?!" before rolling out of the ring alone leaving a distraught Arias behind.

Stevie .C & Terry Rush v.s. James Goodwin & Sean King

Terry Rush & Stevie .C entered to Stevie's theme "C'Mon Feel the Noise" to MASSIVE cheers. Easily the biggest reaction of the night as loud chants of "STEVIE!" began to fill the arena. Rush ran to the ring, obviously excited for this chance as Stevie shook the hands of a few fans at ringside. He also rolled into the ring and a look of determination crossed his face. "And the Story Ends" hit the PA system and the crowd let out a huge "OOO" as James Goodwin in a full on black robe walked to the ring with Sean King behind him. King looked different then from in the past. He looked like he hadn't shaven in weeks and looked rather...unkept. Goodwin entered the ring...and whipped the tail of his robe into Stevie's face! Stevie charged him and Goodwin sucker punched him before they were separated! Both teams were pushed to their corners and formal introductions were held. Both teams had a conference to decide who would start and Stevie was adamant about starting first. Stevie stepped forward..and Goodwin stepped out to LOUD boos from the crowd! Stevie pointed at Goodwin and challenged him to step into the ring. Goodwin looked at Stevie and screamed "YOU ARE A DEAD MAN" and tagged himself in! The crowd ERUPTED as Goodwin entered the ring giving Stevie a huge smile on his face. The two began to circle each other, each sizing the other up for an opening. They locked up and Goodwin used his superior power to push Stevie into the corner and then slowly broke the lockup at the count of four...and then mockingly slapped Stevie in the face. That was the last straw for Stevie as Goodwin walked away with a smug smile on his face, he was BLASTED from behind by a Iron Blaster by Stevie! Goodwin went flying out of the ring, and King tagged himself in as Goodwin rolled to the floor stunned. King entered the ring and the two locked up, but King quickly broke out of it with a straight right to Stevie's eye, blinding him and dazing him at the same time. King followed it up by using his surprising agility and DROPKICKING Stevie! Stevie went down and King pounced on him with a choke hold. King refused to break the hold but Terry Rush broke it with a DEVASTATING Rush Special #2 to King's face! King recoiled from the blow as Stevie recovered from the choking and tagged in Rush. Rush came in to a few "TERRY!" calls from select females in the crowd and began to take it to King but Kign was more then up to this task and fought back, eventually winning a small brawl with a eye rake and then a lariat. King then pulled out a small nail and tried to carve Rush's forehead! A few fans screamed as Rush fought off the assault by kicking King in the forehead. Finally the madman relented and Rush pounced on him with a running cross body for a close call. King got up fast but Rush was waiting for him with a RUSH Special #1! The uppercut floored King, and Rush signaled for the Fury Driver and he lifted King, but King slid behind Rush and pushed him into his corner...right into a Goodwin headbutt! Rush stopped like he hit a brick wall and collapsed as King tagged in Goodwin. Goodwin shook his head to clear the cobwebs from the Iron Blaster he took, grabbed Rush by the neck and hoisted him up in the air with a choke lift! The referee began to count on Goodwin, so he threw Rush down in a heap and backed off waiting for Rush to stand. Rush stood and Goodwin charged, taking Rush's head off with a SUPER vicious lariat! Rush did a 360 and landed on his face. Goodwin rolled him over and covered, but Stevie .C broke up the count. Goodwin, not happy at this charged Stevie as he was walking to his corner and lariated him over the top rope in revenge for the Iron Blaster earlier! Rush was getting to his feet, so Goodwin booted him in the face and sent Rush crashing back down to the mat. Goodwin tagged Sean King back in, and then climbed out of the ring, grabbing a chair as he went by. Goodwin walked over to Stevie .C and swung the chair at him but Stevie avoided it and Goodwin cracked the chair against the ring post. Goodwin dropped the chair and Stevie smashed him with a running forearm! Goodwin fell to the floor as Stevie got back onto the apron. In the mean time, King had been beating Rush around the ring and lifted him up for the S.K. Driver. Rush tried to put up a defense but King squashed it flat by dropping Rush right on his head with the S.K. Driver! King covered but at 2.9 Stevie rushed the ring and broke up the pinfall! King tried to lariat Stevie, but Stevie ducked and King accidently clocked Goodwin who was on the apron! This counted as a tag(?) But Goodwin fell to the apron from the impact. King tried again on Stevie, but he avoided it again and King walked right into a RUSH Special #2 from Terry Rush! King fell out of the ring, followed by Rush who tagged out to Stevie, making the two legal men in the ring Goodwin & Stevie!

Goodwin climbed back into the ring, and the two men had a stand off. Outside of the ring it was utter chaos with King & Rush brawling all over the arena. In the ring however, the two locked up and this time Stevie broke off the lockup, pushed Goodwin back and slapped him! Goodwin looked at Stevie in shock, then roared with anger and tried to attack him with a clubbing blow. Stevie avoided the move, grabbed Goodwin's arm and somehow whirled him around and hooked Goodwin for a German suplex! The crowd gasped as Goodwin was lifted almost vertical and dropped on his head! Stevie slowly got to his feet and rolled over the un-moving Goodwin. Stevie covered him...but Goodwin kicked out! Stevie signaled for the Iron Blaster and waited for Goodwin to rise. Goodwin rose to his feet and Stevie charged with the Iron Blaster. At the last possible second, Goodwin ducked under and then just murdered Stevie with a vicious Western style lariat to the side of Stevie's skull! Stevie collapsed sideways as both men took some time out to catch their breath. On the outside, King had floored Rush and grabbed a chair. Rush stood up and was BLASTED with the chair! In the ring, Goodwin rose first and backed up to the ropes to charge Stevie for another Western lariat. Stevie stood up and Goodwin charged him...Stevie saw it coming and ducked under. He ran and bounced off the opposite ropes as Goodwin did the same. Both men came bearing down on each other with their weapons cocked. Goodwin's Lariat v.s Stevie's Iron Blaster kick. Goodwin roared as he swung but before the lariat could get full momentum, he was clocked upside the head by Stevie's Iron Blaster! Stevie's attakc had far more range and the battle was won! Goodwin collapsed as Stevie signaled for the end and began to pick up Goodwin. Sean King jumped up onto the apron to stop Stevie but was suddenly hit from behind with a chair shot from Terry Rush! Stevie lifted up Goodwin, and hooked him from behind. Goodwin was lifted vertically and dropped right on his head with the Chill Factor! Stevie hooked the leg and the all important 2-0 victory was Stevie's for the taking!

Stevie .C and Terry Rush defeated James Goodwin and Sean King when Stevie .C
pinned Goodwin with the Chill Factor at 19'10. (****)

After the pinfall, everyone was sprawled everywhere exhausted. The fans jumped to their feet and began a massive chant of "STEVIE!" followed by "RUSH!" as the show came to an end.

What a show!

Hello again, I'm still Tim McDonald and this is still "THE FREEDOM PRESS!" I gave the caps lock a try. Last month's debut show was certainly one for the ages, everyone seemed to give their all for the fans in attendance! I have to say, Enter the Firestorm was a complete success for this promotion and it's set to be the first of many! So what has happened since the show? Lets find out!

_____

James Goodwin's challenge

James Goodwin fell to Stevie .C last show, finding out the hard way that he was quite beatable in his own federation! Goodwin has since been a raging inferno of hatred and has issued a public challenge to the man who beat him last month. However the challenge was deceptive, since both men have "seconds" to back them up, Goodwin suggested a four man tournament with the two winners going on to fight for the JGP Championship! Stevie agreed but what he didn't know before he signed on was it wouldn't be Goodwin v.s Stevie and Sean King v.s. Terry Rush but instead would be James Goodwin v.s. Terry Rush and Sean King v.s. Stevie .C!

James Goodwin: You defeated me again Stevie...but now the stakes are the highest we've had yet! When you accepted this, you had no idea what I had planned. King will tear you to peices and then lay before me like the good slave he is!

Sean King : Slave?! SLAVE?! I am no one's slave! I agreed to this partnership to hurt others but never forget that I will destroy you Goodwin at the drop of a hat. We're still mortal enemies but right now I will crush Stevie, and I hope Rush makes it to the title finals so I can carve him and end his career!

Stevie .C: Goodwin, if you want to lose to me again, that's fine but you drug Rush into our problem and that's something I can't stand for. Rush is my ally and I'll help train him to beat you! How will you feel when it's Rush v.s. Myself for YOUR title?

Terry Rush: Wow. I didn't think teaming with Stevie would help my career so much! King, I proved you are nothing but a mental patient that escaped from the guards! I'll send you back there for more therapy after I beat Goodwin. I hope Stevie wins too so I can test out my soul in a battle of friendship.

Satou's conflict

Gabriel Satou has always been the more reckless of the Arch-Angels but now he is trying to decide if he wants to even continue on his current path. Arias explained what happened in their match against Death and Destruction, but Satou insisted that he had to take time off to reflect and "Cleanse his soul". As such, Arias has re-challenged Death and Destruction but this time his partner will be Richard Cross! Cross came to the aid of the Arch-Angels and now he gets a chance to fight wrestling's most evil team!

Hell's Angel: These pathetic fools! Do they really think they can beat my team? I have helped in the training of these two since their debut. They feel nothing, they fear nothing and their only need is to destroy people that dare enter into their path! We killed Satou, now it's Arias's turn!

Michael Arias: Satou is a conflicted person...I failed him but I have a chance to redeem myself in my eyes, his eyes and the eyes of the entire world! Hell's Angel, you might have turned two big men into monsters but we are followers of light and light always defeats darkness.

Richard Cross: Naught is the time left in this struggle...thou has attack the innocent and purgedthe land of the good. Now it is time for the redemption of all those who have fallen before you! We shalt not fail and victory be ours for the taking!

The Six man struggle

Last month saw a union of sorts between three men. El Halcon, Kojiro Kanesaka & Shane Johnston are all friends. They know each other well and all three fought together last month. Because of the massive brawl that erupted between El Halcon, Kojiro Kanesaka, Shane Johnston, Jonathan Byron, El Feugo Azul & Jason Taylor a six man tag match has been issued! Can the former HANGUN members put down their rivals?

Shane Johnston: Byron, you are weak! You had your chance to finish me off and earn fame across the known world but you choked. Unlike myself, you seem to not be destined for the cameras, the lights and the fame! This time, I won't go so easy on you and I will put you out of your misery with the whole world watching us!

El Halcon: Speaking is for the weak! I am the greatest light-heavyweight in the world, and I will prove this when we crush you like fleas. Fear the bird in it's flight!

Kojiro Kanesaka(Translated to english): Hahaha! I relish this matchup! My Kojiro Leg Lariat will destroy you all! HAHAH!

Jonathan Byron: You proved to be my equal Johnston...but what you did after the match won't go unnoticed! I felt the wrath of your vengence but now you have to contend with mine! I grew up with the the evil of our lives, but I fought my way out of that world...but I still retain enough of it in me to make you beg for mercy. You have angered the wrong man!

Jason Taylor: What a bunch of idiots these three are! They have made two great wrestlers and myself mad. I may not have a lot of experience, but I can more then keep up with the likes of you Kojiro.

El Feugo Azul(Translated to english): I have been dishonored by the way these three fight and that can not be allowed! There have been many to try to end my career, but I have fought them all off and you will be no different!

Issac Anderson & John Hempy v.s. Jayson Griffith & American Patriot

To the surprise of quite a few people, Anderson & Hempy got quite a reaction from the fans which was entirely negative. Griffith entered next with his debuting partner the American Patriot the newest incarnation of the name. Patriot got the fans going with a USA chant from the opening bell and squared off against Anderson. Patriot is quite agile for his size and used this advantage to hold over Anderson's pure power but trickery was able to take the upper hand as Hempy kneed Patriot on the rebound of the ropes. For the next couple minutes Hempy & Anderson fast tagged on Patriot and wore him down with simple submissions and maneuver like body slams and snap mares. However, Anderson climbed the top rope and dove off with his beautiful elbow drop, but Patriot rolled out of the way and tagged in Griffith...who entered the ring and roared...? Before soaring into the air with a bunch of dropkicks to Hempy & Anderson. Jayson planted Anderson with a fisherman buster and climbed the top. He flew off the top with a moonsault press  However Hempy broke up the pin but was launched out of the ring by a recovered Patriot. Jayson tagged in Patriot and the two hit a double dropkick  Patriot whipped Anderson into the ropes and from behind Hempy slapped Anderson on the back...Anderson ran into a overhead belly to belly throw from Patriot. Patriot turned around to appeal to the fans..right into a Hempy Cutter from John Hempy  Hempy covered and got the three count

Issac Anderson & John Hempy defeated Jayson Griffith & American Patriot with the Hempy Cutter at 12'09. (**1/4)

Jonathan Byron, El Fuego Azul & Jason Taylor v.s. Assassin Destiny & Shane Johnston

Shane Johnston and his partners Kojiro Kanesaka & El Halcon all entered as a unit to Johnston's "Hollywood" theme song. They high-fived each other as "Edge of Soul" kicked in and Byron rushed to the ring without his partners  Byron, hell bent on revenge on Johnston forgot about safety and attacked his rival...and his three partners  It wasn't long however before he was overwhelmed but at that point Jason Taylor & El Fuego Azul ran down to make it 3-3  Things got very out of control at this point with wrestlers diving all over the place. At one point, El Halcon climbed to the top and dove off with a somersault plancha which creamed Azul & Taylor  Finally things got under control with Byron taking over on Kojiro. Kojiro & Taylor are the two most inexperienced people on the JGP roster and it showed as they made most of the mistakes for their respective teams. Taylor climbed to the top after a tag from Byron and creamed Kojiro with a picture perfect Crossbody Press but it was broken up by Johnston...who was then hit by a springboard dropkick from Azul  Byron then ran and leaped off the apron onto Johnston, sending both crashing in the guardrail  Byron rolled over and held his head after the move but in the ring El Halcon had tagged in and was going to town on Jason Taylor with his flashy arsenal. Halcon dropped him with a backbreaker and climbed to the top for his Halcon Nest finisher but Fuego ran down the apron and started attacking Halcon in an attempt to knock him off. Halcon sent Azul reeling with right hook...then blew poisonous mist into his face  The mist went through the mask into Azul's eyes and he collapsed off the apron. However, this had given Jason Taylor enough time to recover. Taylor came up from behind Halcon and landed a few clubbing blows on his back before snapping him down with a Powerbomb  Both men were sprawled out and they inched over to their respective corners and simultaneously tagged in Byron & Johnston

The crowd roared as the two locked up but Byron quickly snapped out of it with a hammerlock but Johnston dropped to the mat and drop toe holded him down to the mat. Byron was quick to his feet but as he stood Johnston kicked him in the head  Byron stumbled backwards from the blow, and Johnston took the chance, blasting him with an enzugiri to the back of Byron's head  Byron collapsed holding his head as Taylor tried to get into the ring but was met by Halcon & Kojiro who held him at bay. Johnston covered and got the three count as chaos ruled the ring

Assassin Destiny and Shane Johnston defeated Jason Taylor, El Fuego Azul and Jonathan Byron when Johnston pinned Byron with an enzugiri in 13'52. (***)

Johnston tried to pick up Byron, but Byron was deadweight due to being out-cold. Johnston then stood over Byron and rose his hands in the air in total victory  Johnston then reached down and SLAPPED the unconscious Byron to add insult to injury  For the second time in a row, Johnston has left Byron laying unconscious on the mat after their match

Death & Destruction v.s. Michael Arias & Richard Cross

Death & Destruction entered first to their theme "Noldor (Dead Winter Reigns) accompanied to the ring by Hell's Angel. Angel once again carried her metal baton and made sure EVERYONE saw she had it because she planed on using it at liberty. Michael Arias & Richard Cross didn't enter as a team, instead both men came out separately with Arias entering to his real theme "Thorn" and Cross to his "Bloody Hell" theme. The match started with Cross & Gravedigger in the ring. Cross started the bout off by slapping Gravedigger for some reason, but the big monster showed no emotion and attempted to take Cross's head off with a punch. Cross ducked under the blow and dropkicked Gravedigger...to no effect  The monster merely turned around but he turned right into a running elbow from Cross. This blow rocked the big man and Cross followed it up with the Six Shot Forearm  Gravedigger went crashing to the mat as Cross tagged out to Michael Arias to a big reaction! Arias came into the ring and went for Gravedigger's leg. Arias rightfully figured that if the leg was taken out, Gravedigger wouldn't be able to fight effectively. Digger fought Arias off but a swift dropkick to 'Digger's leg took him down  Arias followed it up by slingshotting Cross into the ring with a knee drop to the leg and then Arias applied a half boston crab on the leg. This proved to be a mistake, as Gravedigger easily powered out of the move and tagged in Reaper as Arias recovered. Reaper entered the ring like a rocket, taking Arias's head off with a running clothesline then hitting him with a diving shoulder tackle. Arias stumbled backwards right into D&D's corner. Gravedigger grabbed Arias's throat from behind and began to just level him with shots to the chest. The referee finally saved Arias, but he walked right into a sideslam from Reaper who then tagged out to his partner. Reaper picked up Arias and held him so that Gravedigger could maul him with blows to the mid-section and head. Richard Cross had seen enough and charged into the ring, but Reaper was ready and buried his foot into Cross's face, sending him flying out of the ring. Reaper gave the single, and Gravedigger hoisted Arias up into position for their finisher, but Arias somehow managed to whip Gravedigger over with a frankensteiner. Reaper leaped off the top looking to catch an unaware Arias off guard, but Arias dodged the axe-handle and then tossed Reaper over the top like a bag of garbage! On the outside, Cross held Reaper down as Arias nailed the rising Gravedigger with a leg lariat. Arias gave the signal and nailed Gravedigger with the Devotion DDT  Arias covered but at 2.9 Hell's Angel yanked Arias out of the ring  Reaper had broken away from Cross and tagged himself in, he took the referee's attention as Angel WHACKED Arias in the head with the baton  She then amazingly picked up Arias and rolled him into the ring  Reaper covered the fallen Arias...but Arias summoned all his power and kicked out at 2.9  Arias crawled on his stomach to Richard Cross, who got the fans into a chant of Arias's name. Reaper stepped in to stop Arias who in a VERY surprising move, headbutted Reaper in the groin  Reaper doubled over in pain as Arias made the tag to Richard Cross  Cross climbed to the top and dove off with a Bulldog Headlock to Reaper who was still hurt  Gravedigger climbed into the ring, but Cross was read with a flying elbow shot to Gravedigger's face, which sent the big man tumbling down to the floor. Hell's Angel tried to awaken her big man as Cross picked up Reaper and slammed him down before climbing back to the top. Cross dove off with a flying legdrop, covering but only getting a 2.7  Cross then gave the signal for his Diving Neckbreaker Drop and once again climbed to the top. Cross dove off but was CAUGHT by the throat in mid-air by Reaper who with one hand lifted Cross and slammed him right on his head with a chokeslam  Arias looked on in despair as Reaper hooked the leg and Richard Cross was pinned, giving the victory to Death & Destruction

Death And Destruction defeated Michael Arias and Richard Cross when Reaper defeated Cross with a chokeslam at 14'05. (**3/4)

Arias rolled into the ring following the pinfall and went to his friend Cross, who wasn't moving much. Gravedigger & Reaper stood over them as Hell's Angel entered the ring and with one motion gave the instruction to attack! Reapper booted Arias in the head as Arias desperately tried to cover up Cross from further attack. Gravedigger reached down and grabbed Arias by the back of his neck, hoisting him up in the air from behind! Arias however wasn't completely done yet, and with quite a bit of force he kicked backwards and scored with Gravedigger's abdomen, doubling the big man over. However, before he could get far, Arias was plastered by a lariat by Reaper. Gravedigger grabbed Arias again, but this time hoisted him up into position for the Death after Destruction. Reaper began to climb to the top when out of nowhere he was pushed off the rope! The crowd roared as Gabriel Satou entered the ring with a large stick of some kind. Gravedigger dropped Arias and charged Satou but was met with a loud "CRACK" as Satou hit a home-run off Gravedigger's head! Hell's Angel tried to pull her men back...but was whacked in the face by the stick from Satou! Immediately, Gravedigger & Reaper backed off, lifting Angel up and carrying her to the back as Satou tended to his friends with a look of remorse on his face for his actions.

James Goodwin v.s. Terry Rush

The crowd was buzzing before the competitors were even introduced with dueling chants of "Goodwin" and "Rush" but the crowd exploded in unanimous cheers as Terry Rush's "Rumbling on the City" theme hit and the charismatic star entered the ring-area! He pumped his hands for the fans as he got into the ring and the lights went out. A loud "OOO" reaction erupted as "And the Story Ends" hit the PA system and out walked James Goodwin. Once again he was in a long black robe but this time a hood was over his head. Goodwin entered the ring...and immediately charged Rush! He caught Rush in the corner and squashed him with a body splash as the bell rang and the first of two Semi final title tournament matches began! Rush grabbed onto the ropes to hold himself upright as Goodwin began to lay into him with blows, then he stepped back and took off his robe...only to CHOKE Rush with it to loud jeers from the crowd. The referee finally pushed Goodwin away, but Goodwin shoved him down yelling "You work for me!" before turning his attention on Rush...who flew at him with a RUSH Special! Goodwin evaded the punch, grabbed Rush and just dumped him with a simple slam. Goodwin dropped a leg over Rush's throat...which transitioned into a chokehold! Rush fought out of the hold on his own as the referee was afraid to break up the hold! Rush rolled out onto the apron, but Goodwin was waiting for him and nailed him with a VICIOUS lariat! Rush went sailing off the apron and crashed back first onto the concrete! Goodwin went out of the ring and lifted Rush, but was caught off guard as Rush began to land bodyblows to Goodwin's mid-section. Goodwin nailed a hard knee lift to Rush, but Rush fought back with a straight to Goodwin's face! Goodwin grabbed his face and stumbled backwards giving Rush enough time to crawl onto the apron and give off with a splash! Both men went crashing into the guardrail with Rush falling OVER them into the first row! Goodwin was first to his feet, but Rush leaped off the guardrail with a Bulldog Headlock into the floor! Goodwin crashed to the floor, and Rush taunted him by roaring almost like Goodwin would while motioning for Goodwin to attack him!

Rush re-entered the ring and attempted to get the referee to count out Goodwin, but the referee wouldn't. Rush then backed against the ropes and waited. Goodwin got to his feet while blood poured from a gash over his forehead. Goodwin touched the cut and looked at his hand which was covered in blood. A murderous look crossed Goodwin's face and he reached up to re-enter the ring. Rush was ready and charged Goodwin with a running knee...but Goodwin caught the leg and THREW Rush backwards! Goodwin entered the ring and Rush this time dropkicked Goodwin, but the blow didn't even stagger Goodwin as he looked at Rush with rage in his eyes. Rush charged Goodwin with a clothesline, but he bounced off! Rush then got desperate and went for the RUSH Special #2 but Goodwin avoided the Uppercut and grabbed Rush by the throat. In one motion he BURIED Rush with a chokeslam that shook the very foundation of the ring! Goodwin looked down at Rush as the blood fell from Goodwin's face and onto Rush's body. Goodwin then looked up into the sky and let off a horrendous scream of rage with blood falling into his open mouth. Rush began to stand up but Goodwin charged him and took his head off with a Lariat! Rush sailed 360 degrees in mid air before crashing on his face. Goodwin reached down and pulled Rush up by the air. He turned Rush around, looking at him in the face...which Rush responded with a boot to the mid-section! Goodwin grabbed Rush by the throat again but Rush in a moment of inspiration let loose the RUSH Special #2 which caught Goodwin under the chin, staggering him backwards against the ropes. Rush charged for a cross body but Goodwin grabbed him in mid air and THREW him backwards over the top! Rush crashed onto the apron and fell to the floor. Goodwin shockingly climbed to the top and waited as Rush began to stand. Rush reached his feet but at that moment Goodwin sailed off the top with a diving clothesline to the floor! Both men crashed to the floor in a heap, but Goodwin stood up first but instead of lifting Rush, he picked up a chair and threw it into the ring! The referee pleaded with Goodwin to not use the chair, but one look was enough to silence him. Goodwin lifted Rush and tossed him into the ring over the top and climbed in himself. Goodwin, his chest now covered in his own blood lifted the chair and propped it up in the corner. He picked up Rush and whipped him into the chair! Rush smashed head first into the chair and Goodwin charged him to add the final blow, but at the last second, Rush moved out of the way! Goodwin crashed into the chair and staggered backwards...right into a RUSH Special #1! Goodwin AGAIN refused to fall, but he draped over as if his feet were the only things keeping him up. Rush took this chance and locked on a tight Small Package...FOR THE THREE COUNT!

Terry Rush pinned James Goodwin with a small package in 17'29. (***½)

The referee raised Rush's hand as a wave of cheers went through the crowd and a look of shock crossed his face. Goodwin got to his feet slowly, and now blood was just flying out of his head due to the accidently chair shot. He cast a look towards Rush and began to advance on him, but he collapsed to one knee and medical personal ran to his aid. They pulled Goodwin away from the ring to allow Rush to bask in the glory of his biggest singles win of his entire career!

Stevie .C v.s. Sean King

Once again, the crowd were rabid before the match even began and they let loose with a lot of jeers as Sean King made his entrance. This time King sported a torn shirt, torn jeans but he had shaved...He still looked unkept. The arena litterally became unglued as "C'Mon Feel the Noise" came on and Stevie .C made his entrance! He turned his back to look at a few fans in the crowd...and was BLIND SIGHTED by Sean King! King took Stevie down with a boot to the spine, and then quickly picked up a chair! He slammed the chair down on Stevie's back and then turned him over, straddling his throat with the chair! The crowd went insane with jeers as King looked around wildly while choking the life out of Stevie. He finally let go of the choke hold only to drive the chair a few more times into the gut of Stevie! King finally tossed the chair away, grabbed Stevie's arms and began to drag him like a pile of meat to the ring. Once there he tossed Stevie in and covered...for a 2.7! King climbed on top of Stevie, landing blows to Stevie's face. The referee finally had enough after two matches like this and tackled King off of Stevie! King quickly got to his feet and booted the referee in the face! This gave Stevie time to recover and he ducked a King lariat and then hit him with a neck breaker from behind! Both men hit the crowd and King rolled to the floor after the move...He wasn't given much time to recover however as Stevie shot through the ropes like a bullet, clocking King with a Suicide Elbow shot! Both men went down as the crowd chanted "Stevie". The chants seemed to help him as Stevie was the first to stand, but King hooked onto Stevie's legs and violently yanked the leg from underneath himself, sending Stevie crashing head first into the guardrail!  King slowly got to his feet, grabbed Stevie by the hair and slammed his head back into the guardrail a few times before rolling him into the ring.

King was quick to the assault, lifting Stevie up and applying a Texas Cloverhold submission! Stevie thrashed around trying desperately to reach the ropes, but King used his size advantage to keep them dead center in the middle of the ring. Stevie however wasn't beat just yet, as he summoned all his power and somehow powered out of the submission! King recovered from the shock fast enough to blast Stevie from behind with a lariat! He rolled Stevie over and covered but Stevie managed to kick out at two. King lifted up Stevie and lifted him for the S.K. Driver but Stevie slipped behind him and planted him with a beautiful german suplex! Stevie somehow managed to hold the bridge but King kicked out at two! Both men laid sprawled out on the canvas but both men got to their feet at the same time and they met in the center of the ring with a slugfest. Neither man moved as the sweat flew off their bodies with each hit. The crowd began to chant along with each blow until finally King knocked Stevie back with a big right hand. Stevie bounced off the ropes and BLASTED King in the face with the Iron Blaster kick! Stevie collapsed on top of King for the pinfall...but King kicked out! Stevie rolled over exhausted but soon both men began to rise again and Stevie charged up for another Iron Blaster shot. He charged but King amazingly dodged it and NAILED Stevie with a Roaring Elbow shot to Stevie's chin! King, having used one of his oldest moves covered Stevie but STEVIE kicked out for a nearfall! King lifted Stevie onto his shoulders and planted him with the S.K. Driver...but he didn't pin him. Instead, King looked up at the turnbuckle as a wave of apprehension crossed the fans in attendance. King pulled Stevie up to the corner and with a finger roll motion signaled for his world famous 450 Splash! King climbed to the top but was suddenly stopped by...Goodwin! He told King to get down and showed the chair he was holding. It was obvious what Goodwin wanted to do.

Sean King climbed from the top with a look of disgust on his face and lifted Stevie. He held Stevie and set him up for a Goodwin chair shot. Goodwin reared back and swung the chair clocking Stevie upside the head...but he ALSO clocked King! Both men fell in a heap! Goodwin began to enter the ring but was stopped by the man who beat him earlier in Rush! He yanked Goodwin off the apron and then tossed him over the guardrail! Rush then DOVE over the guardrail with a chair shot and both faded out of sight. In the ring, King got to his feet and screamed "Damn you Goodwin!" before backing against the turnbuckle to regain his footing. Stevie .C stood as well and both men looked at each other. Stevie shrugged and they met in the center again for a slugfest! Blow after blow the two took from each other. Once again, King knocked Stevie back with a right hook and again Stevie charged like earlier in the bout. King dodged the Iron Blaster again and went for his Roaring Elbow! Stevie this time ducked under, kneed King in the back and hooked him! He dropped King vertically on his head with the Chill Factor and covered getting the illusive three count!

Stevie .C defeated Sean King with the Chill Factor at 15'29. (****)

Both men slowly got to their feet, King having problems standing and shockingly Stevie .C gave his hand out to him to help him. King looked up at him, nodded and accepted the hand! Both men stood in the center of the ring and slowly shook hands. At this point Rush dove into the ring, having finished his brawl with Goodwin. King took this chance to leave the ring, on the outside he found an enraged Goodwin. Goodwin began to berate King blaming him for the loss even though had Goodwin not ran down, there was a good chance King had the match won! King looked at Goodwin during all this and slowly a look of pure anger crossed his face...and he attacked! Goodwin was taken by surprise and for the third time tonight he was on the receiving end as King beat him all over ringside. King found a bear bottle and BROKE it over the ringpost and charged Goodwin with it! Goodwin seeing the threat took of RUNNING and both disappeared out of sight.

In the ring, Rush was tending to Stevie, but all of a sudden Stevie pushed him away! The two looked at each other, the realization that they were the final two men in line for the JGP title suddenly coming over them. They were now rivals for the same title. Slowly, Rush extended his hand in friendship and Stevie accepted. For this moment at least, they were still friends and allies. Now it all depended on if they still would be after their match for the JGP title!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Dawn of a new era?

Welcome everyone to the third edition of the Freedom Press  Dark Saga is in the record books, and it proved to be quite the amazing show  The Johnston/Byron feud was taken to a new level when Byron for the second time was taken out by Johnston. Byron suffered a minor concussion in the match and will not be at the next show  Terry Rush scored the biggest win of his entire career when he pinned James Goodwin 100% clean in the middle of the ring. He'll go onto "Superclash" to face Stevie .C to crown the first ever JGP champion  Below that we saw the breakup of the Sean King/James Goodwin alliance when King snapped and brutally attacked Goodwin  We all knew these two wouldn't remain allies for long...but two months is quite under par for them

Lightning Strikes Twice is looming large, lets see what is on tap for the next big show

_______

The rebirth of a warrior

Issac Anderson was at one time considered to be one of the fastest improving rookies in wrestling. Known as "Silver Wing", a mysterious masked wrestler but with loads of charisma, Anderson stole quite a few main events in the long dead promotion CWD. Since then he has drifted aimlessly through the wrestling landscape not really achieving anything of note...

Until now

Issac Anderson is no more  Silver Wing is reborn and has signed a deadly alliance with a former enemy. Issac, longing for the success that has always seemed right before him has finally given in to his demons. Silver Wing is back...but as James Goodwin's underling  Goodwin is in need of new allies after King deserted him and he has already signed three of them. The first one was Anderson who approached Goodwin looking for a rebirth to his career following Dark Saga. The next two should be no surprise to anyone...as Death & Destruction have joined Goodwin  Goodwin, in the span of one month has signed himself three allies and at Lightning Strikes Twice he will team with Issac Anderson & Reaper to face Stevie .C, Terry Rush & Michael Arias

James Goodwin: You all thought I was finished when King deserted me  Hah. You should have seen it coming all along. Anderson has been nothing but a shell of himself for years now and I am giving him a chance at everything that has alluded him  Angel is my woman...did you really think I wouldn't call upon Death & Destruction?  Judgement is the time of day, and vengeance shall be mine

Stevie .C: Why don't you just give it up Goodwin? You've lost to Rush and myself back to back  You can't defeat us. Now you are trying to scare us by using more puppets? I seem to see a cycle repeating here, you can't keep anyone on you're side who can actually think for himself

Silver Wing: it has been a long time since I donned this getup...I have no remorse for my actions now, nor will I have doing Goodwin's bidding. This is my chance to once again perch myself at the top of the heap in this sport...but this time, I'll finish the job and become a legend

Terry Rush: My, my, my. Things never seem to change round here. In one month I'll be fighting for the world title, but I've still got to deal with Goodwin and his petty threats. Goodwin, I don't care who ya throw at me or Stevie. We'll beat them all because you can't change destiny

Hell's Angel: It is glorious  I have waited for this day for years  The honorable Goodwin has more ties to my men then you might think with you're puny little brains. He helped train them, he helped make them into the monsters they are now and for years they did his bidding  Now it has all come full circle  We are HOME

Michael Arias: Two times I have failed in my quest to destroy these monsters..and now I am over my head in this conflict. Satou will not be by my side this time, I am with strangers...but I will fight  I will fight with my very soul  Regardless what happens again to my body, my soul will continue this fight until I have passed from this realm

_______

The continued struggle.

Having came back from a self-imposed exodus, Gabriel Satou has wasted little time in making his presence felt. He saved his partner Arias from a potentially brutal beating at the hands of Death & Destruction and has now challenged the biggest of the two, Gravedigger to a one - on - one bout  Satou has claimed he will win this fight in order to vanquish the two demon warriors...but the hard money is against him in this fight

Gabriel Satou: The pain was immense when I looked upon the carnage that had been unleashed during my exodus...it is a heavy burden on my heart. They didn't try to win...they wanted to end his career  I can not allow such a thing to continue  The warrior code that I live by dictates that I must throw everything I have at you to stop this  Gravedigger, you may be one big bad monster of a man, but I am guided by the helm's light  I will win

Hell's Angel: I thought maybe he had gotten a clue when he disappeared but I was mistaken. He is far too dense to realize he is far, far over his head in this conflict. Gravedigger feels no pain. Only anger, and I control that anger. I will unleash his full potential and fury against you Satou  I will make an example out of you

________

Greed, the most powerful tool in the world?

A promise has been issued and one man has had his greed peaked with interest. Shane Johnston has an impressive record thus far in JGP and a promise has been issued...If he can win two more matches, one at Lightning Strikes Twice and one at Superclash he will be made the #1 contender and get the very first shot at the JGP title. Johnston has won many titles...but a world title has eluded him thus far. With his greed working in full force and his desire in full affect it seems nothing could stop him from his title shot...

Other then the fact that he was two of the tougher men in JGP back to back  At Lightning Strikes Twice, Shane Johnston will face Richard Cross in what will sure to be a fast paced brawl. Cross is in the hunt for a title as well having a 1-0 record in singles competition. If Johnston can somehow defeat Richard Cross, then at Superclash he will face the returning Jonathan Byron for the #1 contender ship

Shane Johnston: Fah  Bah  Why should I have to prove myself to get a title shot  I am a legend in Tokyo damnit  They don't scream "GOZILLA " anymore, they scream "JOHNSTON "  I suppose it doesn't matter either way...someone such as myself is destined to win the title from whoever holds it any-way. Cross, you stand between me and my biggest shot of a lifetime...You stand before my chance at being an American hero...Prepare to die.

Richard Cross: Such arrogance  Your words are a slap to my face and I don't like that feeling  Johnston, you may have a pretty face and big mouth, but you have maybe half the skills I do, and I will crush you

_______

First true conflict

Both shows thus far in JGP have featured an Assassin Destiny v.s. El Fuego Azul /Jason Taylor match and this show will be no different  However this time it'll be the first tag team match between the two teams.

_______

Third show looms large!

The third JGP show is on the horizon. Lightning Strikes Twice will feature some very big matches on this five bout card. The main event will be James Goodwin, Silver Wing & Reaper taking on Stevie .C, Terry Rush & Michael Arias. Below that will be Gabriel Satou v.s. Gravedigger. Shane Johnston will face Richard Cross in a top contender determination bout and Assassin Destiny will take on El Fuego Azul & Jason Taylor.

Keep the dream alive...and keep supporting the federation!

(Thank you Fujita, even though I already knew you were a fan :). It helps me to know that with all the views this has gotten there are those who actually care. As such, I'm putting in a new feature to the shows. I enjoy doing the news reports so much that I may as well try and spruce up the cards a little. Each card will now have at least one quote from a wrestler. Could be a Roleplay, could just be a little comment. We'll see how it goes.)

(Goodwin: "The day of reckoning awaits us all someday. We will all pass from this world but what lays beyond is a question that even I do not know. I am sure we shall be judged upon what we have accomplished in this world and what feats we have succeeded at. My list is ever endless, as among being the best wrestler of this generation I have added being a promoter of a growing promotion of power to my list of accomplishments. It would be folly to compare the likes of you to me, Cash...but I ask this upon you. What awaits you in the next world? Have you done anything truly worthy of being allowed passage...Somehow I doubt that to the highest degree. You're days draw close to their end and I will be the one to send you to the next world. I am the keeper of the lost and the lord of those found. I will crush you Stevie, I will rid my promotion of you're filth eventually. You live on borrowed time and you cower from my shadow. Enjoy what you have for this will be all that you have to keep.")

James Goodwin Presents
A James Goodwin Promotion event:
LIGHTNING STRIKES TWICE

Jayson Griffith v.s. John Hempy

The winless Jayson Griffith entered this time to a smaller fanfare then usual. It also appeared that the sail had been taken out of him since he didn't try to "Fly" like usual. His exact opposite was John Hempy, his opponent who had on a steely expression from the opening bell. Hempy was set to be Issac Anderson's tag partner before those radical changes took place. As such he's without focus now and he took out his anger on Griffith with a brutal assault from the opening bell. Griffith seemed taken aback and reluctant to fight back against the assault. Hempy showed no mercy in this match using all his signature moves before following it all up with his ace crusher finisher the Hempy Cutter. Hempy put one foot on the face of Griffith for the pinfall.

John Hempy pinned Jayson Griffith with the Hempy Cutter at 6'27. (* 3/4)

Assassin Destiny v.s. El Fuego Azul & Jason Taylor

El Fuego Azul and his partner Jason Taylor entered the ring area first to a great response from the crowd. Many wouldn't know it, but in his younger years Azul was one of the biggest stars of a federation known as WCPW. Their opponents came out but they weren't alone! Flanked by Shane Johnston who carried a black and silver flag with the word "HANGUN" sprawled on it came El Halcon & Kojiro Kanesaka with new ring gear. El Halcon still sported his demonic head gear but the rest of his ring attire was in the colors of their former Japanese faction HANGUN with the Black & Silver. Kojiro wore the same outfit(He always sported the colors) but with a T-shirt with HANGUN on it. Before the bout could begin, El Halcon took the microphone and announced that HANGUN was reborn to the confusion of the non-Puroresu following fans in attendance. He also added that all three members could accompany any of their members for any match...authorized by James Goodwin himself! Having heard enough the referee used what authority he had to force Johnston out of the ring and start the bout. El Halcon & Jason Taylor started the match as Halcon called Taylor to come closer and then feinted a mist attack! Taylor spun out the way but right into a kneel kick from Halcon. Taylor hit the mat as Halcon got to his feet with a laugh. Halcon put the boots to the young wrestler before grabbing his legs and dragging him into the HANGUN corner. Kojiro was tagged in (To a few "KOJIRO!" calls from the Puroresu smart fans to boot!) And immediately started in with his flashy offense with a rolling senton. He followed that up with a delayed elbow drop before covering for the pin but Taylor forced the break of the count. Kojiro picked up Taylor and dropped him with a shoulder breaker before climbing to the top. He then flew off with a corkscrew moonsault to the utter SHOCK of the fans but Taylor moved at the last second sending Kojiro crashing to the mat in a heap. Taylor wasted no time tagging in Azul who got a huge reception from the fans. Kojiro tagged in Halcon giving us the stand off the fans wanted. The action was quick and fierce at this point with both men charging each other with everything they had. A furious exchange of counters, reversals and escapes followed that would be near impossible to describe here.

Halcon finally got firm control of Azul with a chop block after the luchadore had missed a moonsault bodyblock. Kojiro was tagged in but the young Japanese man didn't target the leg, instead dropkicking Azul right in the face nearly knocking the man out cold. Kojiro then called for Azul to get up then when he did Kojiro ran, springboarded off the middle rope BACKWARDS to Azul and caught him square in the face with a leg lariat! Kojiro then screamed out "KOJIRO LEG LARIATOH!!" as JPG had finally seen his signature flashy move!  Kojiro tagged in Halcon who climbed to the top immediately and dove off with a elbow drop which Halcon then followed up with a pin attempt but Taylor rushed across the ring and broke up the pinfall...then dropkicked the distracted Kojiro off the apron and into the railing(..He has a weakness for girls.). Halcon seeing this, threw Azul into the corner of his enemies and challenged Taylor to tag in for a one on one stand off! Wasting little time, Taylor tagged in and a stand off was reached. Both men charged but Taylor was surprisingly the one who survived as he dropped Halcon with a drop toe hold into the middle rope. Halcon got up a little shaken into a superkick from Taylor! Halcon fell to the mat and Taylor climbed to the top as Kojiro charged into the ring...but was restrained by the referee! Taylor got ready to jump off but Johnston appeared under him and clocked him with the HANGUN flag! Taylor flipped off the top rope as Johnston then distracted the referee. Halcon & Taylor got up at nearly the same time...but then Halcon punted Taylor right below the belt! Taylor clutched his groin and Halcon took the chance with a small package as Johnston released the referee who registered the three count!

Assassin Destiny defeated El Fuego Azul & Jason Taylor when Halcon pinned Jason Taylor with a low blow attack at 10'43. (*** 3/4)

Following the pin fall Johnston rushed into the ring waving his flag as Kojiro rolled in on the opposite side. All three members stood together and began to stomp the crap out of Taylor who was still on the mat. Azul finally managed to get into the ring crawled over and laid down on Taylor to absorb the blows for his young partner. The beating continued until the ground roared as a street dressed Jonathan Byron and Richard Cross charged the ring! Suddenly faced with a four on three situation HANGUN did the smart thing...they got the hell out of there! Byron started chasing Johnston around the ring area...so Johnston dove out into the crowd to get away! With their enemies gone, the two men checked on Taylor and Azul and the four walked out together.

Gabriel Satou v.s. Gravedigger

The crowd really picked up at Noldor came on. Gravedigger the biggest man in JGP walked out accompanied by his leader Hell's Angel for his first singles match in a long, long time. No Reaper was in sight, obviously being saved for the six man main event. The crowd leaped into chants of "SATOU!" as the World Warrior, Gabriel Satou walked out! Satou walked alone much for the same reason Gravedigger was but he showed a fire within his eyes that many would run away from. Gravedigger however did not flinch an inch. Before the bell rang the two met in the center of the ring with a intense stare down. Gravedigger's mask allows no emotions to show through but you can still see his eyes...which never change from their one look: Absolute hatred. The bell sounded and the two met again in the center of the ring but this time Satou attacked! He launched shots at Gravedigger trying to take the big man down somehow. Gravedigger showed no ill effects from the attacks before grabbing Satou. He lifted Gabriel up and basically just tossed him like a sack of dirt across the ring to the shocked amazement of the fans. Gravedigger advanced but Satou surprised him(...?) With a dropkick. The Big man took a step back but this time charged right across the ring, grabbing Satou by the neck and pressed backing him into the corner. The referee tried to get between them but Gravedigger swatted him away and continued to choke him. The referee started to go to disqualify Gravedigger but was suddenly clubbed from behind by Hell's Angel! He walked over to where the assault was taking place telling Gravedigger to release his neck. Gravedigger did so but began to viciously pound Satou in the head with punches. Angel casually strolled out of the ring and grabbed a chair, bringing it back into the ring. She then handed it to Gravedigger and told him to "Finish the Job". Gravedigger wrapped the chair around Satou's neck, pulling back for all his worth while putting a knee in Satou's back arcing him a SICK position. Satou's face literally began to turn blue but Gravedigger released the choke hold and Satou collapsed to the mat in a fit of coughing. Gravedigger lifted Satou by his hair and was about to ram him chair first into the turnbuckle when Michael Arias charged to the ring to save his partner...but was CLOCKED from behind by Reaper who had Angel's steel Baton! Arias crumbled in a heap and Reaper took up position in the aisle way to prevent another attempt by someone. Gravedigger dropped the chair having changed his mind as Angel called out "Don't kill him! Just make him understand the error of his ways! Hurt him!". Gravedigger picked up Satou and planted him with a power bomb onto the chair. Finally Gravedigger turned around, leaving the ring. Somewhere during all this the bell had been sounded and Satou had won...but at what cost?

Gabriel Satou defeated Gravedigger via disqualification at 10'53. (*)

Angel led Reaper & Gravedigger to the back as medical help finally ran down to Satou. Arias had finally waken back up having crawled into the ring. Tears streamed down his face at his inability to help his closest friend. Arias suddenly cast a dark look towards the back and charged down there with a look of pure murder on his face...a look never seen before on his features.

Richard Cross v.s. Shane Johnston - Johnston trial series Match one

Having to follow that was no easy feat but these two were more then up to the challenge. Richard Cross entered first but his face seemed to be twisted in worry. In the back Satou was being loaded up in a ambulance but things were supposed to be alright for him. His exact opposite was Shane Johnston who entered the ring flanked by Kojiro & Halcon. This time Kojiro had their flag...which he constantly shoved in the faces of the fans at ringside. Johnston did his usual poses but there seemed to be an underlying determination from him. Johnston knows what is at stake here, if he wins this match he's one more step closer to his first ever challenge for a world title. Something that has eluded him thus far in his career. Cross offered his hand to Johnston, who hesitated at first...but then spat into Cross's hand and then turned around with a smirk on his face as the bell rang. Cross's ideals refuse to allow him to make a sneak attack and he was forced to wait until Johnston faced him...which Johnston seemed unwilling to do. A stand off resulted with Johnston annoying the hell out of Cross with his refusal to be a man and fight him. Finally, the referee had had enough and forced Johnston to turn around, and he was immediately slammed by a running forearm from the Holy warrior! Cross dropped a legdrop then hooked both legs and flipped over into a jackknife cradle for a VERY close count! Johnston rolled to the ropes, then wrapped his legs and arms around it in sheer desperation to escape the assault! The referee backed up Cross giving Johnston time to stand back up and regroup. Finally the two wrestlers locked up and Johnston quickly snapped out of it with a hammerlock, which he then compounded by leg tripping Cross to the mat giving himself total control position over Cross. Cross however refused to be shaken as he waited for Johnston to make a mistake which sadly did not take very long at all. Johnston gave up his hammerlock position to try for a front chancery which Cross QUICKLY countered by grabbing Johnston's knees and sweeping him to the mat. Cross grabbed one of those legs and locked in a reverse Achilles tendon hold which Johnston answered by...screaming and trashing to the ropes in sheer desperate hope. Johnston rolled out of the ring to get encouragement from his partners...until Cross dove over the top rope in a VERY shocking move smearing all three of them onto the concrete floor! Cross lifted up Johnston and rolled him back into the ring.

Cross hooked Johnston's arms, locking in a double armbar type move but Johnston was too close to the ropes which allowed him to get out of the hold. Cross backed up across the ring waiting for Johnston to get to his feet and then he charged across the ring looking for his Six Shot move. Johnston ducked causing Cross to crash awkwardly into the ropes, bouncing off in a heap. Johnston not being one to give up on a good thing dropkicked the side of Cross's head and then added a running stomp to his face leaving Cross is a semi-conscious state. Johnston lifted Cross up, setting him up on the top rope then allowing him to fall backwards into a tree of woe position. Johnston's face spread into a large grin as he backed to the opposite corner to charge into a sliding kick to Cross's face which connected. Cross dislodged from the turnbuckle and collapsed allowing Johnston to cover for a close count. Johnston grabbed Cross around the head, lifting him up and then dropping him with a DDT but once again Cross kicked out from Johnston's pinfall attempt. Johnston, showing signs of pure desperation once again lifted Cross up, but Cross rallied with European uppercuts to Johnston's chin, rocking the overconfident wrestler backwards. Cross shook the cobwebs free from his head and charged Johnston...only to be hotshotted into the top rope! Cross's head snapped backwards and he crumbled to the mat. Johnston shook his head and lifted Cross into Piledriving position and then drove his head into the mat with his Highlight Flash Cradle Piledriver. Hooking BOTH legs, Johnston covered Cross and got the three count!

Shane Johnston pinned Richard Cross with the Highlight Flash at 13'43. (*** 1/4)

Johnston collapsed backwards from his exertion but Kojiro & Halcon ran into the ring giving him no chance to rest before lifting him onto their shoulders. They then paraded him around the ring as if he had already won the JGP title as he waved the HANGUN flag in celebration. Johnston suddenly jumped down and took a microphone. Shouting into it with breathless bursts he said: "Byron! ... Next Month you are going down! ... Our leader is coming then you have no hope!" He then threw it down and walked out with his partners....Leader? Johnston ISN'T leader?

James Goodwin, Silver Wing & Reaper v.s. Stevie .C, Terry Rush & Michael Arias

Stevie .C, Terry Rush & Michael Arias entered first but with each having their own entrances. Stevie .C got the biggest reaction by far but Terry Rush & Arias weren't very far behind him. Of note was the look on Arias's face. His rage had obviously not subsided and was now to the point where he could be capable of practically anything. Several of the fans took notice since they had never seen him this upset before. James Goodwin and his personal army entered next but they came out as one unit. Issac Anderson got noticed right off the bat with his mask back on. The Silver Mask with pointed ears gets noticed very soon and he seemed like a brand new person under it. The four person squad(You didn't think Angel wouldn't be out there right?) Circled the ring before Goodwin pointed and then did a cut throat action...and the charge was on! A Huge brawl erupted, there was no tagging and no order. No one knew what was going on but the person in front of them they were battling. Goodwin paired off with Stevie, Rush with Silver Wing and Arias with Reaper. Goodwin & Stevie spilled out of the ring and soon referee's poured out of the back to try in desperation to get some type of order installed. The fate was so thick you could taste it between these six men. Finally both sides were separated and forced onto the aprons. Silver Wing & Stevie .C started the match off officially but they seemed to stop before attacking each other to have a discussion. It seemed to be that Stevie was asking Anderson why he did what he did...but Anderson refused to give him an answer and merely shrugged in response. He then bowed and offered Stevie the first attack in a supremely cocky move. Stevie opted for a lockup and soon the two were trading moves back and forth. Anderson showed far more skill and confidence under the mask then he ever did without it and he proved to be a equal match for Stevie. The two going back and forth with moves. Finally they had a stand off to which the fans applauded before they tagged in the next two. These two turned out to be James Goodwin v.s. Michael Arias! A combination never seen before like this got the crowd excited but they were soon shocked as Arias charged across the ring leaping onto Goodwin with a furious attack! Arias began to just pound the crap out of Goodwin with blows as his face clouded over with pure anger. He was finally pulled off but this gave Goodwin his chance which he took by leveling Arias with a lariat. Goodwin then savagely kicked Arias in the face a few times to mock him before tagging in Reaper who throttled Arias much like Gravedigger did to Satou earlier in the match. This seemed to re-spark Arias's anger and he poked Reaper in the eyes! Arias then dropkicked Reaper in the leg and began to choke HIM! Arias released it at four then tagged in the shocked Terry Rush who got several people chanting his name as he came into the ring. Reaper reached his feet but was rocked by Rush who hit him with a elbow to his face. Rush hit three more before running into the ropes coming off them for a lariat but Reaper stopped that dead by big booting him right in the face. Reaper then tagged in Silver Wing and a new part of the match began.

Terry Rush was turned into the proverbial whipping boy as each man on the Goodwin Army team took their time beating him around the ring. At times Silver Wing seemed reluctant, and wanted to pin Rush but he heeded Goodwin's orders when the big man issued them. For some time Rush was beaten around the ring as his teammates could only look on. No one on the Goodwin team were trying for the win, they were just beating on him for the pleasure on in Anderson's case because he was ordered to. Goodwin lifted up Rush onto his shoulders for the Terror Ride but Rush managed to slip off, then rolled past a lariat attempt by Goodwin and ran into his corner tagging in Stevie .C! The crowd roared as Goodwin & Stevie faced off for the second time under the JGP banner. The two began to trade strikes in the middle of the ring, with Goodwin seemingly winning until he tried to lift Stevie for a bodyslam. Stevie slipped behind him and then dropped him on his head with a Release German suplex! Stevie covered the big man but Goodwin powered out of the pin attempt. At this point all hell broke loose in the ring again, as Goodwin's partners rushed the ring seemingly on cue(Angel could have issued the order...who knows.) Causing both teams to meet in the ring. During all this, Silver Wing & Michael Arias were tagged in but only the referee seemed to take notice. Eventually both teams spilled out of the ring but Arias had Wing trapped in a corner setting him up for a Top Rope Backdrop Suplex, but Hell's Angel ran onto the apron to stop it. Arias seeing her BOOTED her in the face as the crowd roared! Angel fell off the apron and Arias went to finish his move but from behind was attacked by Reaper. Reaper grabbed him and then power bombed him off the top rope. Anderson recovered on the top and then dove off with his signature move as Silver Wing: The Flying Elbowdrop, the best in the world of wrestling! Anderson landed with the point of his elbow crushing into Arias, hooking the leg and getting the three count as the chaos raged all around him!

James Goodwin, Silver Wing and Reaper defeated Stevie .C, Terry Rush and Michael Arias when Silver Wing pinned Arias with the Flying Elbowdrop at 20'29. (Rating: ****)

The two teams continued to brawl all over ringside until Gravedigger ran down making it four on three. Things were looking bad until I am Hated sounded! Sean King came running out to a huge response but he wasn't alone! In one hand he had a bat and in the other he had a friggin KNIFE. Goodwin seeing what was going on called his troops and immediately retreated wanting nothing to do with the madman with a pointed weapon. King chased them but they luckily got away. King turned back as Stevie, Rush & Arias were finally getting fully up, King then dropped both his weapons and extended his hand to all three men. King proceeded to shake each of their hands and formally joined their army to destroy James Goodwin!

I tell you what I like, the bit (and this particularly holds true with the last show) where you're building up matches and throw in comments of sorts from the two wrestlers in question. Nice touch, gives it that real "hey, I could be watching this on TV, hypothetically" feel.
HawkPosted on 09/11/04 at 23:02:20

Thank you for the comments 91. I happen to consider the news reports to be the best and most defining feature of the federation.  It certainly is where I have the most fun aswell.

I'm glad that you commented on the fed,. It makes me feel all special.

Destiny looms close...

Hello once again! Another edition of the Freedom Press is in the process of being written but my oh my is there a big show coming up. Easily the biggest show in the four month tenure of James Goodwin Promotions will be the SUPERCLASH! Formally the biggest event of the year for the CWD promotion(Which Goodwin owned a portion of, hence it's ties in with JGP) but has now been brought back as JGP's biggest event. The World title will de decided, several new wrestlers will make their debuts and a classic rivalry will be renewed. Read on to find out what is all in store for you lucky, lucky fans

_____

The World title is decided.

Stevie .C:
A name that is instantly recognizable to any wrestling fan. A huge success in the EWWL, RJPW and BSPW promotions not to mention his work in smaller fare.

Terry Rush:
A virtual unknown. Independent fans knew who he was due to his hard work ethic, but no one on a national scale had any idea of who he was...Now he's fighting for a world title in the biggest new promotion in the world.

It's quite the tale of two different worlds merged into one for an epic bout. Stevie .C is questionable in the twilight of his career, having done just about everything he could do as a wrestler. Terry Rush has toiled in smaller federations until now, but has every tool imaginable to finally secure himself that golden spot in wrestling's hall of fame. To add to the drama is the fact that these two men are close friends and treat each other like brothers. They know how each other will approach the match and are constantly sparring to make themselves stronger.

Now the two closest allies not in a tag team are fighting for the first ever championship in the promotion. Terry Rush defeated James Goodwin in a shocker that took many by surprise. Stevie .C defeated Sean King in a violent, bloody brawl. What type of match will we see? A brawl that fits Rush's style or a technical masterpiece that both men can deliver. So many unknowns but three things are for certain:

A friendship hangs in the balance.
A World title hangs in the balance
And there can only be one winner.

Stevie .C: Terry, you are the only person in this promotion that I would call my friend. You came up to me immediately before the first show and introduced yourself, shaking my hand not as a rival, not as a enemy and not as suck up. You shook my hand like someone who wanted to be the best as much as I do. I respected you for that and we started sparring soon after. You impressed me with you're untapped skill, and we've been working to uncover that skill you have. Now it's the biggest match of your career, and maybe the last major chance for me. I won't hold back, no matter how close I consider you as a friend. This isn't about our friendship but about the title. About the respect and about the fame. Give me everything you have Rush, because I will give you everything I have.

Terry Rush: Honestly I never thought it would come down to us. I figured Goodwin would defeat me, or King would make it past you. Had I known this would happen, I'm not sure I would have signed on to face you. I was a huge fan of you Stevie, before I ever met you. I watched all you're matches and I studied them to learn how you did what you did. I suppose I could ask you to take it easy on me, and I think you'd grant that request...but that isn't what I want. Together we're the two strongest, we won this right to face each other for the twenty pounds of gold. I wish you the best of luck as my friend...but as your enemy...I won't be beaten.

_____

An old rivalry returns.

I think most of us that knew these two men knew their alliance wouldn't last long. James Goodwin & Sean King warred for years against each other, a war that many surmise has never ended. Goodwin and King have taken it far beyond a mere feud but into a duel to the death. Family has suffered, lives nearly lost. There can not be a winner until one of them is in the grave it seems. There have been lulls in the battles every so often, and for some reason they all seem to gravitate towards each other in an odd sort of way...but eventually it all goes back to the violence.

For over six years, these two have fought off/on in as many federations as could be named. Goodwin has tortured King over these years with his attacks on everything King believed in and loved. King claims because of this, there is nothing left for him to lose...There are also rumors that Goodwin used underhanded methods to make King obey him for the time he did, but we can never be sure of what he did do to King.

It was just a matter of time before these two clashed in JGP and they picked the biggest show of the year to begin anew. For the first time in several years, James Goodwin & Sean King meet again in a singles encounter in the semi-main event of Superclash

James Goodwin: Quit hounding my steps King!  I know that has been you!  Every where I step, I sense you looming not far behind me. Waiting. Waiting for a chance to attack me while my guard is down. I fear no man but you are wearing my patience. I brought you into this federation not to oppose me, but to do my bidding  Why do you think I spent all that money training you?  Finally you saw the light but now you are back to you're old tricks again. Bring all the knifes you want, all the broken bear bottles. Bring a chainsaw, because in the end it won't matter. You are nothing to me but a peasant, a lowly piece of nothingness that I will freely tread upon. This will be the final encounter between us...I will make sure of that.

Sean King: I smell fear. Fear from the man who has destroyed my life and made me into this lunatic you see now. You fear me, you always have...I never noticed it since I was so caught up in other emotions during our battles. You've made me into a man with nothing to lose...Nothing. I will freely throw myself away to take you out once and for all! This will be the final encounter between us, because when I get my second victory over you...I'm going to use my knife. I'm ending this reign of terror once and for all. When you mess with the King...It's off with you're HEAD!

______

One step closer.

Shane Johnston seems to be stronger then ever before. Two singles victories in a row, the formation of a new group to aid him in his quest to be the champion and his never ending cocky demeanor. Could this all be leading towards the biggest win in his entire career? Can Johnston ride this wave of glory to a world title shot and take it in the champions first defense?

Jonathan Byron says no.

Jonathan Byron has returned from his injury, and Johnston has hell to pay. Shane Johnston & Jonathan Byron square off with the winner going onto face the World champion in his first defense. Twice now these two have faced off. The first time a draw that saw Johnston viciously attack him post-match and in a six man match that saw Byron completely defeated via KO. Now these two men of completely contrasting styles and attitudes square off once again. This time for Byron it's a chance at glory and redemption. For Johnston it's finally his chance to prove everyone wrong, and that he does indeed deserve to play with the "Big boys" in the main events. Who will win and who will have to return to the shadows for the time being?

Jonathan Byron: I feel honored that you have decided to hide yourself in the shadows of others to protect yourself from me Johnston. You can have all of you're little buddies at ringside with us, but it won't matter. You pinned me last time we fought, but that was because of a concussion I inflicted on myself by accident not by anything you managed to do. It's funny in an odd sort of way...I respect yet hate you. I respect your talent inside of the ring. Few can match it...but I detest you as a human being. I hate everything you stand for and because of that I will not lose to you!

Shane Johnston: You detest me? Feh. It doesn't matter to me if you don't like me or not Byron. Try taking that stick out of you're ass someday though pal. I don't need Halcon & Kojiro to beat you that's why they won't be at ringside. I'll prove to you and everyone else that I *AM* a sensation. That I *AM* a legend in the making. I can't prove it to you by stories of my success in Japan, so instead I'll finally drive it through your thick skull that you aren't in my league. After I destroy you, then I'll beat Stevie .C or Terry Rush and become WORLD champion! They will chant my name all throughout Asia! I will be Emperor of Japan!  ....All Hail Emperor Johnston...I like it.

The second Tag encounter

This match was a result of a special request from both Gabriel Satou & Michael Arias after the incident that took place at Lightning Strikes Twice. Gabriel Satou turned out to be just fine, but was quite banged up after the assault Gravedigger unleashed on him. Instead of making Arias & Satou give up this fight, it has seemed to reinvent them. Arias showed off a much different side of his personality in the six many following the attack, and results have stated that both men have viciously tackled training with such ferocity that some people were afraid they might die from it. Deep down, they both know this is the greatest test to their beliefs and their abilities they have ever fought...and it seems to have triggered a latent mind set in their minds.
Hell's Angel has led her team through many championships and many victories, but it is debatable if she has ever had them deal with such an insane change of character like they have made the Arch-Angels achieve. It's also debatable that in a straight up contest if D&D can beat Satou & Arias. Either way, we'll find out...Another thing that needs to be mentioned as reports are the JGP Tag Team Championships will be decided really soon, so this match could impact that in some form.

Hell's Angel: I have never seen cockroaches with such tenacity of live! We've beaten you constantly, we're hurt you and we've humiliated you...Why won't you die?! Does the need to "Defeat the evil" drive you to the point of suicide? If so then I must say I am surprised. I admit we have taken you lightly in the past, but with these new "Possessed" attitudes, we won't again. We'll add yet another victory in our favor at the biggest show of the year!

Gabriel Satou: Anger that I've never felt before in my life swells up deep inside of my heart. Somehow, you have managed to trigger my anger in a way that nothing ever in my life has done before. I am in a constant battle now with my own demons inside of me...but I can direct them to a new target, hopefully expelling them for good...and you as well.

Michael Arias: Much like Satou, I am facing emotions that I have fought to bury. After the attack, I lost that battle. All I wanted to do was hurt my enemies...and I would have succeeded. In a two on two encounter I doubt we can be beat but with these new attitudes to use against you..I KNOW we can not be beaten!

The HANGUN battles

Last month, El Fuego Azul & Jason Taylor were within an eyelash of beating Assassin Destiny before their trickery was able to defeat them. They have been granted a rematch with Assassin Destiny, one which they lobbied for quite viciously. However can the two defeat Assassin Destiny with Johnston and the "Leader" hanging around? We will have to just watch, wait and see what happens really.

El Halcon: Why do we have to fight them again?! We beat them fair and square...I guess we'll just have to do it once more. I'll be sure to make it one hot encounter.

Kojiro Kanesaka(Translated to English): No one beats my Kojiro Leg Lariat! I'll beat these weaklings with one arm tied behind my back! ...No...Don't tie it up, I was just making a comment....Please?

Jason Taylor: We've fought for this match hard. We know we can beat them, they don't win on their skill at all. They have to constantly cheat to win! I have my eyes on you Johnston! I won't fall prey to the same thing again!

El Fuego Azul(Translated into English): Trickery can only win so many matches before the opponent becomes wise to the tactic. They have a great combination of Youth, Skill, Trickery and Numbers. However, I used to know quite a few of those tactics and I'll freely use what I know against them..and about Johnston...You won't be a factor. Richard Cross will be in OUR corner!

"Leader": ...STUPID! NO COMMENT!

______

A random encounter

Silver Wing will take on Richard Cross. Silver Wing is looking for another victory under his mask, while Richard Cross is looking to get back in the winner's circle after his loss to Shane Johnston.

Silver Wing: I feel ashamed to be in such a low profile match. By the well I suppose. Cross, I'll beat you. There, good enough of a comment? Need more? Ok...You're a stupid man! Good? Great.

Richard Cross: Anderson, it is debatable as to who needs this match more. You or I. We both need this victory, but I will show you that I am no push over. I will beat you in the middle of the ring and go for a rematch against Johnston!

New Debuts

Superclash will see the debuts of not one, not two, not three...Ok I'll stop. Six new wrestlers will make their debuts at Superclash. A great way to begin a tenure in the promotion if I do say so myself. They will be split into two matches. The Blood Brothers consisting of Erin Brail & Matthew Salvation will take on Road Rage(Could they think up a better name? Yeesh.) Consisting of Axel Blast & "Dangerous" Danny McDaniels. Above that will have Tyrone Raptor taking on heavy metal enthusiast Donovan Drake. Both matches should be very good and a great showcase for the new talent.

Donovan Drake: Man, this is not cool at all. Tyrone, I have no ill will towards you dude, but I need this win. My Drakengarnd will put you to sleep, but don't worry, I'll wake you right up with a Seven Minute Solo on the AIR GUITAR~!

Tyrone Raptor: ...Is this a joke? Tell me this is a joke. I get put up against someone who plays the air guitar in his mother's basement? Screw this, interview is over.

Erin Brail: Ahh...the sweet smell of impending victory. I'm not sure I know who we are facing, but it really isn't of any serious concern. Not only will we beat them, but we'll confuse and humiliate them...It will be glorious.

Matthew Salvation: Goodwin gets a good laugh in at my expense. I assumed we would be treated with respect given our past's with him, but I was mistaken. Instead he puts us against Big Poppa Dan music video rejects...don't worry, I'm sure you ignorants don't know who that is anyway.

Axel Blast: Yes! I'm ready for this one! We finally get our shot at the main stage! Who are these chumps think they are? I'll have fun running roughshod all over you throughout the entire match!

Danny McDaniels: We'll crush them!

It took me some time to get this done, but I finally managed to finish it. I had to download a HTML editor (Me no know lots of code) and then had to relearn the code to make the links work.

I think it's just about perfect, so here is the JGP Roster page and it should help people know the characters more.  Hopefully it works right.

I figured I'd post and say a couple things.

Updates on JGP are going to be sparse(As if they weren't already!) because I started college today. Understandably, that is going to take up alot of my time not to mention that I have other things going on.

I still plan on doing this, so I could get Superclash's writeup done by even today if I get enough time.

I just want to thank everyone who has given this thing nearly 200 views and those that have posted here. I really appreciate it.

College...sucks...

I'm juust about done with this term, so I'll have almost a month off. Look for some JGP soon, but there is really no telling if I can keep doing the same format I have right now. Superclash is half done, but it's the main event matches that are the biggest writing challenge.

I might have to do abbrieviated results from now on, but I'm against that. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my writing. If I can't do it well, I'd rather not do it at all.
