Los Guerreros (Chavo Classic, Hector Guerrero and Mando Guerrero) defeated
Hayabusa & Tajiri (Hayabusa and Tajiri) and Low Ki when Classic pinned Ki
with the Chavobomb in 0:14:31.
Rating: **** 1/4

Los Guerreros head to Ultimate Annihlation with two prizes in mind - the World
Cup of Wrestling and the Cruiserweight belt. Chavo and Hector going for the
former, Mando the latter. Taking on the three men in their way today, Low Ki,
Hayabusa and Tajiri proved a tough challenge, but after the obligatory pier
six, Mando was able to steal the belt and smack Low Ki in the back, allowing
Chavo Classic to score the pin. Big win for the Guerreros, their opponents
will all be out for revenge at Ultimate Annihlation.

Masato Tanaka pinned Hunter Hearst-Helmsley with the Diamond Dust in 0:07:45.
Rating: ***

Masato Tanaka, despite his recent loss to Brad Armstrong, is still looking
good. Having beaten former champion Chris Benoit recently, he was able to put
away another former champion, Hunter Hearst-Helmsley. Tanaka looks in the
best of form and given another chance, he could well be holding title gold
soon.

Brad Armstrong pinned Rey Mysterio with the Peoples Elbow in 0:09:22.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Brad Armstrong retained the Intercontinental Title.)

Following his win last week, Rey Mysterio Jr. was named number one contender
to the Intercontinental title. Brad Armstrong however was not impressed and,
doing his Rock impression, ridiculed the challenger before the match today.
Saying that Rey could do nothing more than punch "The Rock" in the ankle, he
went on to say he would take Rey on a one way trip to Smackdown Hotel. That he
did, sort of. Rey put up a terrific fight but Brad is on a roll and the self
proclaimed Rock got the win, fair and square with the Peoples Elbow after a
well hit spinebuster. After waving his arms around in an even more over
exaggerated fashion than The Rock, Brad turned up his nose and sauntered out.
Yep, he's got it.

The Miracle Violence Connection (Steve Williams and Terry Gordy) defeated
Jody Fleisch and Dynamite Kid when T. Gordy pinned J. Fleisch after
a short clothesline in 0:12:47.
Rating: *** 1/2

Things look tough for Team England as they teamed up today to get a feel for
one another, much like Chris Benoit and Owen Hart recently did for Team Canada.
Unlike the excellent performance the Canadian duo put in, the English pair
looked a little disjointed, clearly not trusting each other. Taking on the
Miracle Violence Connection, Dynamite was out to settle some scores there,
which upset Jody Fleisch who repeatedly argued to Dynamite that he wasn't
getting nearly enough ring time. Eventually the two began squabbling and Jody
tagged himself in. Dynamite shoved back his partner and Terry Gordy caught
him with a huge short arm clothesline. Williams held Dynamite back and Gordy
scored the win. A huge win for the Miracles whom we should be giving more
credit to as they looked in fine form regardless of how much easier things
were made for them. Team England on the other hand have the collective
abilities to win the whole thing at Ultimate Annihlation but are going to have
to gel MUCH better than this if they hope to pick up the one million dollar
prize money.

Nikolai Volkoff pinned Villano IV with the Bearhug in 0:04:03.
Rating: ** 3/4

With Team America taking on The Bolsheviks, representing Team Russia, in the
first round at Ultimate Annihlation, we were surprised to see Volkoff and
Zhukov appear today. Their one off appearance at the PPV seems to have been
extended to a couple of weeks as they wanted to showcase their abilities today
in order to make sure everyone doesn't forget them. Yes, they're in the
tournament. No, nobody gives them a hope. The fact Volkoff beat one of the
Villanos today in their showcase didn't set the world on fire, but credit to
him for getting the win at least.

Matt Hardy pinned Jeff Hardy with the Twist of Fate in 0:04:04.
Rating: *** 1/4

With Matt Hardy suspending Don Muraco last week, he issued a statement today
saying that Muraco was BARRED from DWF building until further notice, and made
it clear that he wasn't about to drop the suspension lightly. Jeff Hardy is
certainly not happy about this and a match was made between the two, brother
versus brother. Matt invariably was the better man and he scored the win, but
Jeff Hardy will doubtless be doing all he can to ensure his man is allowed
back in a DWF pronto.

Meanwhile Matt Hardy was keen to know the progress The Young Lions were making
with their investigation. The Lions said that they could have found the
evidence on the cinder block to incriminate Jody Fleisch as early as next
week. Hardy seemed VERY interested at this, let's hope for some news to wrap
up this one once and for all.

Kurt Angle and Lance Storm battled to a double countout in 0:15:56.
Rating: **** 1/4

In one of the biggest matches of the evening, Kurt Angle came out to blast the
Canadian crowd for being a bunch of American-wannabes who suck up to the U.S.
in order to remain chummy chummy with them and leech off the perks of being
neighbours. Angle claimed that just because Canada was right next to America,
it didn't mean that it was anywhere near as good, and evidently the American
influence hadn't rubbed off. Angles opponent for the evening, Lance Storm, had
heard enough and ran down to get things under way. Storm, in front of his
home Canadian fans, was looking to secure a big victory, and looked like doing
so on many occassions. Angle too was on form, as always, and the two exchanged
near falls and counter holds like few can. In the end, Angles ridiculous
attitude caused tempers to flare and the two ended up brawling to a double
countout. Officials quickly seperated them and hauled Angle to the back while
Storm got a great ovation for his efforts. Suffice to say, Angle is not
through with trying to put his absurd point across. Interviewed afterwards, he
said that in two weeks time, Team America would reign supreme in the World
Cup and he'd be there to cheer them on.

Pitbull #2 pinned Paul Roma after a short lariat in 0:02:41.
Rating: **

In a bonus match, Pitbull #2 took on Paul Roma. Both men were flanked by their
respective cornermen (Pitbull #1 and the Mean Street Posse). Quickly, the
Posse tried to interject themselves, but #1 made a quick rush at them, taking
them both out with a double clothesline. In the ring, #2 made quick work of
Roma to score the win. Another crushing performance by the Pitbulls.

Psychoanalysis (Brian Pillman and Sean O'Haire) defeated
John Cena and Billy Kidman when Pillman pinned Kidman with the DDT in 0:13:23.
Rating: **** 1/4

If Billy Kidman thought he had problems coming at him from one side in the
form of Brian Pillman, he found more coming at him from the other after todays
main event. With Steve Corino out of action with a reported fracture in his
arm, he was at ringside cheering on his main man Kidman as he teamed up with
John Cena to take on Psychoanalysis. Much talk of the upcoming Kidman/Cena
match was made, but the two functioned well as a team in this non title match.
Corino on the outside began making a nuisance of himself, tripping Brian
Pillman and allowing Kidman to take control. O'Haire was being beaten on the
outside by Cena, while Kidman did a very nice job in the ring. After flooring
Pillman with a picture perfect facebuster, Kidman signalled to the crowd that
he was the champion and champion to stay. Cena on the outside meanwhile had
dealt with O'Haire after Corino took a shot with his bad arm (cast and all),
and smirked somewhat at this, before grabbing Corino and smashing his arm
into the guardrail. Corino dropped screaming, clutching at his arm. Kidman saw
everything and instantly went over to confront Cena. Cena smiled evily again
and simply began walking backwards towards the exit. Kidman was fuming, but
was also giving Psychoanalysis valuable time to recover. Both Pillman and
O'Haire made their way up behind Kidman, lifted him in the air and just
dropped him. Kidman was out of it, and Pillman finished with the DDT to score
a victory. Pillman had a wild look in his eyes and across his face as his team
were declared winners, and perhaps he's booked himself a crack at the title.
Kidman meanwhile will be concerned both with the condition of Steve Corino and
this apparent double cross from John Cena. Is this one last evil masterstroke
by John Cena to ensure he becomes the worlds heavyweight champion?

Card rating: *** 1/2

Match observations:

La Resistance represent Team France at Ultimate Annihlation and having made a
good start to their DWF careers, they could be considered dark horses for the
title. In an interview today, they stated proudly that they'd do France proud,
as it "is the greatest country in the whole world". When the fans began booing
them, they tried to point out that America was the second best country in the
world and with there being over two hundred countries in the world, that was
pretty good. Didn't appease anyone. They then said if they faced Team America,
they would EMBARRASS them. Again, they were booed, and they tried to say it
was no disrespect to America, but they just didn't think much of Sean O'Haire
and Rob Van Dam. More booing, so they tried to tell everyone they meant they
didn't think much of them compared to themselves, but it wasn't working. After
they tried to praise Jerry Lewis, they realised this one was a lost cause and
made their exit. OK so they're idiots, but as tag teams go, they look like one
of the most solid, but we'll see what happens when they're really tested.

Rest assured I have read both of these cards, and you will get full feedback as soon as I can (I'm currently out of town and don't have much net time).  Good stuff though, as always.

Very interesting card.  I like the story plots your building up here.. i'm interested about the Cena double cross.   Your bit about La Resistance was very funny.  Good work.
