another bug - Crowd Chant Editor

LillaThrillaPosted on 09/27/05 at 03:40:55

I go to update TNM for the first time in a year and I'm a bug magnet...  :o ??? :P

I went into the Crowd Chant Editor for the first time and a message popped up in a little windows box that says...

PowerBASIC
Not taking: Patrick_*(Which One's Which)

I hit okay and this message repeated several more times with others - Gerald, Marc Mero, and Chris Candido at least.  After the final ok, the Crowd Chant Editor seemed to open fine and work fine after that point.

Hmmmm...interesting.  I added a new wrestler and gave him a chant to make sure it worked okay then saved and exited.  The error I just mentioned isn't reoccuring.  Weird.

BTW, is there any way to mass-delete wrestlers?  This is my fantasy wrestler only copy of TNM so I don't want all these "real" guys clogging things up.  But the normal Windows multiple selection tricks with CTRL or ALT don't work. :(

You can select all if you go to the very first one, hold shift and hit the =/+ button.  At least in the newest version you can.

I'm using the 1.0 version off the website and that doesn't work for me. :(

I had the same problem when I installed it for the first time (back when I was on a Win98SE machine). I admit I haven't really played with it much since installation, but I definitely recall this happening. I think the program deletes the chants it can't handle, but am not certain.

The plugin drops entries it can't identify... so all is well.

To delete all the chants, delete the file CROWD.CNF in the DATA folder.
