cerberosPosted on 10/14/04 at 09:13:06

Sorry this is late.  I had to change the format this week due to time.  Let me know if you perfer this style or the old style...if you care one way or the other.  Anyway on to RAW!

Rating: **** 1/4
(Chris Benoit retained the World Heavyweight Title.)

NOTES:

Raw came on the air with Christian in the ring talking about why he should be voted for against Chris Benoit at Taboo Tuesday.  Out came Stevie Richards, this time dressed like Tyson Tomko.  Christian went nuts and said he had beat Richards the last two weeks what's one more time.  He did just that in a very competitive match.

Next we saw Eric Bischoff announce the following "matches" at Taboo Tuesday:

Chris Benoit(c) vs. ????? in a title match
Batista(c) vs. ????? in a title match
Christian/Tyson Tomko vs. Richards/Partner of his choice in a fans pick match type
Victoria(c)vs. Trish in a fans pick the match type match
Eugene/William Regal(c) vs. ????? in a title match
The return of Matt Hardy vs. ?????
Triple H vs. ?????

Right after that Triple H barges in and demands he gets the title shot.  Bischoff says that is up to the fans.  Triple H vows to show what he thinks of the fans.

Next it was Rosey/Hurricane vs. Regal/Eugene for the titles.  During the match Triple H came out and attacked Eugene.  Regal tried to stop it but was attacked as well.  The official was down during this.  Triple H told Hurricane to pin Eugene but wouldn't so he was given a Pedigree and Rosey a chair shot.  Triple H put Hurricane on Eugene for the win and the titles.

After the break we see Eugene being tended to by EMT's.  Regal barges into Bischoff's office and demands a match with Triple H tonight which Bischoff gives.  In the ring Kane took Batista.  Both Randy Orton and Ric Flair were at ringside.  During the match a masked man once again attacked Randy Orton.  Meanwhile in the ring Kane got a huge victory over the IC Champ with sidewalk slam.

We come back and see Val Venis coming to the ring when the picture goes out.  We then see Paul Heyman's image appear.  Heyman reminds everyone that you can vote for ANYONE under WWE contract to have a match at Taboo Tuesday.  Remember it was Triple H who fired the first shot in this war.  We then to Val Venis taking on Shelton Benjamin.  Venis looks set to win but was caught with a superkick for a quick pin.  Venis attacked Shelton afterwards with a chair and left him in the ring.

We come back and it is the Highlight Reel with Chris Benoit as the guest.  This basically sets up a match between Jericho and Benoit.  Jericho talks about how at Taboo Tuesday he will be getting the shot because of his Jerichoholics.  Benoit says he will make him tap out like everyone else.  Bischoff announces the match tonight!

Triple H and William Regal had a blood brawl and it was violent.  In the end Triple H used a low blow and his Pedigree for the win.

The main event was another great match from Benoit.  Jericho got several near falls and looked about ready to get the win with the Walls but Benoit wouldn't give up.  Jericho went for a springboard clothesline but Benoit caught him and locked in the Crossface for the win.  After the match Triple H tried to attack but Jericho cut him off and locked in the Walls.  Benoit then locked in the Crossface.  In the back we see the William Regal is standing over a bloodied Ric Flair while Batista and Orton are brawling with Rosey and Hurricane.  We go off the air with a shot of Triple H screaming in pain.

I'd rather see the match comments put in with the match results.  Seeing the results first is almost like reading the spoilers before you get to see the show.  Takes away from it a bit.

Cool stuff with the Heyman "invasion."  A solid main event, and The Hurricane and Rosey are the tag champions!  Woohoo!  And just like RAW, it was very Triple H heavy.  Yay. :)

can we vote for taboo tuesday
cerberosPosted on 10/16/04 at 17:18:35

Yeah if you really want to you can.  Much like the WWE I think I know how the vote will turn out, but if someone puts together a great match I will run with it.
