Cerberos's NO MERCY!

cerberosPosted on 10/03/04 at 18:05:57

Sunday night Heat is hosted by Josh Mathews and Bill DeMott.  They go over each match and basically we see video packages on each.  We then go to ringside where Michael Cole and Tazz are at the announce table.

Kidman took Jindrak in our first match of the night.  This was a great opener and the crowd was really behind Kidman.  Jindrak got a near fall with one of his picture perfect dropkicks.  Jindrak went for a belly to back but Kidman floated over.  Kidman then hit a swinging bulldog.  He went up and hit a flying elbow for a near fall.  Moments later he hit his BK Bomb for the win.

Billy Kidman pinned Mark Jindrak with the BK Bomb in 0:08:58.
Rating: ***

From the back out came Mordecai and a hooded man.  They completely destroyed Kidman giving the Crucifix Slam before the hooded man hit a flying splash.  The hooded man is as tall as Mordecai and well over 300 pounds.

Mordecai:  Sinners beware.  I have seen that words are not enough to sway the sinners.  So I have brought in someone to help me.  Ladies and Gentlemen I give my own personal hound, CERBEROS!

The two then proceed to press slam Kidman over the top.

We then get a video highlighting the main matches, Taker/Booker, Angle/Michaels, Cappotelli/Misterio to close out Heat.

No Mercy comes on the air and we see 20 men in the ring.  It is time for our tag team battle royal.

Some of the teams include Akio and Kenzo Suzuki, Funaki and Barry Horowitz, Paul London and Jon Heidenreich, Shannon and Orlando Jordan and the unique team of Luther Reigns and Rene Dupree besides some of the usual partners.  This was pinfall, submission or over the top rope.  First out was the team of Horowitz and Funaki.  Next Luther pinned London.  Moments later Nunzio upset Luther Reigns again this time throwing him from the ring.  It came down to the FBI, Chavo and Jamie, The Dudley's and the team of Mordecai and Cerberos.  The FBI then went on a streak.  First Nunzio clotheslined Bubba to the floor.  Moments later he hit Cerberos with a dropkick that sent him to the floor.  This left the FBI, and the Chavo/Noble team.  The Bull then showed his strength by throwing the smaller men around and finally tossing Chavo over the top by press slamming him to the floor.  He then tossed Noble into Chavo for good measure.

We then go to the back where the Undertaker is with his running buddies.

Taker:  Tonight is a night we can earn the respect we deserve.  Tonight Rikishi you can shake that stigmata of being some kind of dancing freak.  Tonight you have to destroy Scotty.  You have to end his career!  Now Bob and Billy, you two know what you have to do.  I want blood tonight!  And don't worry about Booker.  I will personally see that he knows all about respect tonight.

We then go to our first title match as JBL is taking on The Big Show.  This was a big man's match with a lot of punches and kicks.  Show went for the Chokeslam but JBL hit a low blow.  Official Nick Patrick warned JBL who shoved him down, rolled from the ring and grabbed his belt.  Show however was right there.  The duo fought on the floor and there was a double countout.

The Big Show and John "Bradshaw" Layfield battled to a double countout in           0:12:39.
Rating: * 3/4
(John "Bradshaw" Layfield retained the WWE US Title.)

The match didn't stop however.  The two continued to brawl until finally Show gave JBL his Chokeslam on the floor.  Show roared as security and agents pulled him away.

As JBL is helped to the back out comes John Cena and Mark Jindrak.  This time Cena rapped about Eddie Guerrero using slurs against the Latino's community.  Eddie came out without a low rider this time as he ran out on a mission.  He attacked both men with a springboard body block.  Guerrero threw Jindrak over the top and went right back to Cena.  These two went at each other with no regards for the other.  Cena hit the F-U but somehow Eddie kicked out.  Cena shoved the official down allowing Eddie to hit a low blow.  Eddie then hit a brain buster followed by his Frog Splash for the win.

Eddie Guerrero pinned John Cena with the Frog Splash in 0:09:48.
Rating: *** 3/4

Eddie celebrated when he was attacked from behind by Jindrak.  Jindrak hit his Mark of Excellence.  He hooked Eddie while Cena wrapped a chain around his fist.  Cena and Jindrak pummeled Eddie into a bloody pulp.  Finally Cena and Jindrak left Eddie a bloody mess.

We then go to a video of the actions of Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn since they joined forces.  We see them attacking random people just to 'make an impact'.  We then go back to the ring where we see a bloody Eddie Guerrero shoving away any help.  Eddie is stumbling to the back as the tag champs come out.  Eddie stumbles into Hardcore and falls down.  Hardcore picks Eddie up only to knock him down with a right hand.  Billy laughs as Holly stomps away.  Holly picks Eddie up for the Alabama Slam when he is nailed with a kick from Rico.  We now have our tag title match.  This wasn't a great match but the fans were into it.  It was a basic tag match with Rico being the man beaten down.  Finally he tagged Haas.  Haas was on fire and went for a "Stinger Splash" but Gunn moved Holly out of the way.  Haas hit his head on the post which allowed Holly to hit the Alabama Slam and retain their titles.

Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn defeated Rico and Charlie Haas when H. Holly pinned C. Haas with the Alabama Slam in 0:09:24.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn retained the WWE Tag Team Titles.)

We now see a video of Rob Van Dam's changing from fan favorite back to his cocky ECW persona.  We then go to the ring where Spike is coming out.  Next out comes RVD.  It took nearly 5 minutes for RVD to get into the ring as he had to great EVERY fan at ringside.  Finally the match started when Spike jumped from the onto RVD.  Spike grabbed a chair right away for RVD was ready and hit a Vandaminator.  RVD then posed but Spike wasn't down yet.  The two brawled back to the set which was basically a cage around the entrance.  Spike went for the Dudley Dawg off the set but RVD countered with slam.  He then hit a rolling front slam.  RVD scaled the cage and gave Spike a huge Five Star from about 15 feet up for the win.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Rob Van Dam pinned Spike Dudley with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:10:49.
Rating: *****

The fans gave RVD a standing ovation as he basked in the glory.  We then go to a video of Rey Misterio's recent history including his turning on Matt and his new attitude.  We then go to the ring.  This kept the crowd hot as these two left nothing in the back.  These two had Cappotelli's best match so far.  Early on Matt used his superior size to keep Rey on his toes.  However Rey went to the sky and took over with a springboard dropkick that sent Matt over the top rope and it tied his arm between them.  Rey then went to work on his arm, wrapping it around the post, and getting a near fall of a single arm DDT.  Matt came back by countering the West Coast Pop with a powerbomb.  Matt went to the top for his flying cross body but Rey rolled through for a near fall.  Rey came up and hit a dropkick sending Matt to the floor.  Rey went for a flying cross body block but Matt caught him and rammed him into the post.  Matt rolled him into the ring.  Matt took Rey shoulder high and hit a running TKO for what would have been the pinfall but the bell rang at two.

Matt Cappotelli and Rey Misterio battled to a draw in 0:20:00.

(Matt Cappotelli retained the WWE Cruiserweight Title.)

Tony Chimmel:  Ladies and Gentleman, the time limit had expired, this match is ruled a draw!

Matt stood over Rey and seemed set to continue the attack but instead rolled to the floor, grabbed his belt and went to the back.  Rey slowly got to his feet to a chorus of boos.  Rey gave the crowd the bird as we go to another video feature.  This time it is the history of Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty.  We see from years ago the duo dancing and becoming tag team champions.  Then we go back to a few weeks ago when Rikishi attacked Scotty.  We then go to the ring.

This match killed the crowd a bit but it was short.  Rikishi threw Scotty around for a few minutes before missing his reverse splash in the corner.  Scotty went to the top and hit his Flying DDT for the win.

Scotty 2 Hotty pinned Rikishi with the Flying DDT in 0:03:32.
Rating: * 3/4

Scotty got ready to dance when the arena went into darkness.  The Undertaker slowly came out and Scotty quickly bailed out.  Rikishi got to his feet just in time to have his head taken off by a boot from the Undertaker.  Taker picked him up and gave him a chokeslam.  We go to the back as the Undertaker stood over Rikishi.

DeMott:  Booker, in mere moments you will be taking on The Undertaker in a respect match.  Basically you have to do something very few have ever done, and make the Undertaker tap out.

Booker:  Bill, it isn't that I don't respect the Undertaker, far from it.  It is the fact that he thinks he is some kind of leader yet he is constantly holding people back.  He uses his pull in the locker room to keep people down.  Bill, we have dealt with that before.  It is WCW all over again.  Tonight I beat the Undertaker for the locker room.

The crowd was hot for this match.  Booker controlled early on with a series of kicks.  He locked in several submission moves but he couldn't get the dead man to give out.  Taker came back with a low blow and just started to choke the life out Booker.  Taker then hit a snake eyes followed by a running boot.  Booker came back when he hit the Book End out of nowhere.  Booker locked in a figure four and Taker nearly said the magic words but he managed to get to the ropes.  The end came when Booker went for the Scissors Kick.  Taker stood up and the locked in his Taking Care of Business Dragon Sleeper.  Finally Booker said "I respect you".  The official called for the bell but Taker didn't release the hold.

Respect Match:
The Undertaker made Booker T submit to the TCoB in 0:13:24.
Rating: *** 1/2

The Undertaker didn't release the hold.  Finally nearly the entire locker room came and surrounded the ring.  Taker released the hold and basically challenged everyone.  Bill DeMott and Funaki pulled Booker from the ring.  We see on the ramp Hardcore Holly, Rikishi, Billy Gunn and Rey Misterio watching this shaking their heads.  They go to the back as the locker room helps the nearly unconscious Booker to the back.  Taker looks furious in the ring.

We then got a video of Angle's bragging in recent weeks.  We also see highlights of Shawn Michaels career.  We end the video of Shawn knocking Kurt out on Smackdown with Sweet Chin Music.

This is the finest wrestling match you are going to find these days.  It had a little bit of everything in it.  It started off with some slapping and shoving.  Next came some mat work which Shawn actually managed to come out on top of.  Angle took over when he hit his Angle Slam out of nowhere.  Angle went to work on the leg and tried to lock in the Ankle Lock but Michael's rolled him up for a near fall.  Michaels got up right away with a series of rights, a clothesline and a flying elbow.  Michaels warmed up the band for Sweet Chin Music but Kurt was ready and caught the boot.  He then locked in the Ankle Lock.  Michaels fought for two minutes but wouldn't tap out.  He finally got to the ropes.  Kurt went to the top for a moonsault but Michaels moved.  Michaels quickly hit Sweet Chin Music but Angle rolled to the floor.  Angle got back in at a nine count.  Michaels crawled and got a two and nine tenths count.  Michaels once again warmed up the band.  He went for SCM again but Angle ducked it and Michaels nailed official Charles Robinson.  Suddenly from the crowd out ran Raw superstar Triple H armed with his trusty sledgehammer.  He nailed Michaels in the ankle and ran off nearly as fast.  Angle looked shocked but quickly locked in his Ankle Lock.  Michaels fought the pain but finally tapped out ending an excellent match.

Kurt Angle made Shawn Michaels submit to the Ankle Lock in 0:35:53.
Rating: *****
(Kurt Angle retained the WWE World Title.)
[Triple H interfered against Shawn Michaels.]

Angle grabbed his belt and hugged it like it was his baby.  Michaels held his ankle and looked toward the crowd where Triple H ran off.  Michael Cole and Tazz wonder what it means now that a Raw superstar has invaded Smackdown.

FUCK! Van Dam and Spike getting *****, in only ten minutes no less, that's impressive. Star wise the card was quality (obviously something like Angle/Michaels was almost a given, but the rest was fair to great). Now I'm guessing there's going to be some sort of Raw/Smackdown battle about to start, which you hinted at when you started posting Raw.

Most noteably though, you hired YOURSELF!! I really hope that it's a specific wrestler under the hood...
cerberosPosted on 10/03/04 at 20:13:38

it is a certain wrestler and it is none other then Gene....Snisky.  After seeing him on Raw I liked him and thought I would find a place for him.  I had the idea of giving Mordecai a follower and thought the battle royal was a good place for it.  And it was pretty hard to hide the upcoming Raw/Smackdown feud wasn't it?
