Match observations:
Another superb night of wrestling in the World Championship Tournament, with every bout in with a great shout for match of the night honours!

Group C is a tough one to call, as everybody has a realistic chance of winning it. Despite CM Punk's mind games, Eddie Guerrero was able to defeat the plucky 25 year old after kicking out of the Pepsi Plunge and pinning him with the frog splash. Punk had been quite dominant throughout this contest, focusing his attack on Guerrero's back with a backbreaker, several suplexes and a double underhook backbreaker. Punk nailed Latino Heat with a beautiful Shining Wizard but Guerrero managed to drape his leg over the bottom rope before the three count. Punk thought he'd collected three precious points after connecting with the Pepsi Plunge, but Guerrero kicked out after a long two count! Punk protested with the referee, which allowed Guerrero to gain his second wind. He unloaded with dropkicks, the Three Amigos trifecta of vertical suplexes and then a brain buster before picking up the win with the frog splash. Elsewhere, Doug Williams also picked up three points after putting away Christopher Daniels with the Revolution DDT in a wonderful bout. These too know each other so well and it showed in the early stages with some crisp technical wrestling exchanges. Daniels caught a lucky break when Williams went flying shoulder-first into the ringpost. Daniels was relentless in pounding on the injured body part, but Williams wouldn't quit. After an STO, The Fallen Angel scored with the Best Moonsault Ever for a two count. Daniels went for the Last Rites, but Williams blocked and looked for the Chaos Theory. However, Daniels was able to roll through and grabbed the tights for another near fall. Signalling the end, Daniels went for the Angel's Wings but Williams backdropped his way out of danger and quickly executed the Revolution DDT for the win. Getting off to a winning start is going to be so important in this group stage. In phase two, Punk takes on Williams and Daniels faces Guerrero.

B-Boy and Elix Skipper lead the way in Group D after emerging victorious from their opening bouts. Skipper used the P.O.D. for the 1-2-3 against Jun Akiyama while B-Boy pounded Trent Acid in a brutal match-up, finally besting him with his dangerous brain buster finisher. Prime Time and Akiyama both could have won their bout on several occasions. Akiyama pounded Skipper with a flurry of suplexes, including a wicked German and a powerful Soviet Suplex. Skipper responded with his magnificent rope walk headscissors, a top-rope huracanrana and a nice dragon suplex which garnered a near fall. Akiyama stopped Prime Time with a DDT and went for the Exploder, but Elix blocked it and caught Akiyama napping with a knee to the gut before uncorking the Play Of The Day. B-Boy and Trent Acid will be sore tomorrow after a match that was not for the weak of heart. These men traded stiff Yakuza kicks and forearm smashes throughout this contest. B-Boy kept trying to put Acid away with an STF, while Acid only gained near falls with a Falcon Arrow and a Splash Mountain. B-Boy was eventually victorious after utilising his Cross Special Brian Buster after scrambling Acid's brains with two Shining Wizards. Skipper and B-Boy will face each other in phase two with the winner advancing to round two; Akiyama and Acid will be looking to avoid defeat when they meet as whoever loses will be out of the tournament.

Much better commentary this time.  My only suggestion for continuing to improve would be to put your commentary with the matches instead of at the end.  It'd improve the flow of the card even more, and can be done easily with Tweakcirc if you have it.

Good card too.

Eddie vs. Punk was hard to call, since Punk is one of the top indy wrestlers at the moment while Eddie is simply phenomenal in WWE.  I can understand Eddie going over, but I don't like him kicking out of the Pepsi Plunge.

I'm a big fan of both Williams and Daniels, with perhaps a slight preference for Williams in the ring.  I'm therefore pleased by his relatively strong victory here.

Skipper and Akiyama could have gone either way for me, since I don't really follow either guy much.  Still, it looks like it was a solid, quality match, so I certainly can't complain.

And B-Boy takes out Trent Acid.  That's not unrealistic at all from what I understand, so I'll buy it.  I do like Acid, though.  He's really a very fun wrestler to watch.  I'd like to see him advance.

Keep up the good work.
