Match observations:

Lex Luger earns himself a title shot! Vader and Hayabusa
square off to settle a rivalry in the making.....

In our opening bout, a 10 man battle royal was held
to determin the number one contender for the world
heavyweight title. We saw a great number of stars
wrestle tonight in one of the longest battle royals
we have seen in quite some time. Mil Mascaras was a
no show and Shawn Michaels was eager and quick to take
his place, hoping that he would win the match tonight.
It was clearly every man for himself as not even a minute
into the match, Steve Austin had eliminated his friend and
tag team partner, Brian Pillman. Lex Luger ended up
getting the win after elimination The Undertaker

A match for the tag team titles, The Rockers took on
the champs, Demolition. Shawn Michaels looked tired
after giving it his all in the previous match. It did
show as he was not able to be at 100 percent for his
team. Demolition are still tag team champs!

A great rivalry in the making, Hayabusa took on Vader
for the television title. Hayabusa was quick to score
with some high flying ariel attacks that had Vader
stunned. Vader was then able to turn the tides as he
his a big choke slam which many people thought the match
was over. Hayabusa had alot of heart and kicked out of
the pin. The match went back and forth until the ref
called for the bel signaling that the match had ended via
time limit draw.

The Steiner Brothers took on the Powers of Pain. The
Stiener Brothers are looking to hopefully get a shot
at the team that defeated them for the tag team titles
not to long ago, Demolition. With a win over The Powers
of Pain, that might put them in contention for a shot
at the next card.

Lex Luger took on Jushin Liger for the world heavyweight
title. Luger took it to Liger due to the fact that he had
a size advantage. Liger stuck to his ariel attacks and
speed to try to hit and run against Luger. Liger
caught Luger off guard as was able to hit a small inside
cradle and get the 1..2..3!

After the match, Chris Jericho came out from the crowd
and attacked Jushin Liger. He did a number on the world
champion. He then got on the mic and said that he was
sopossed to be getting a title shot tonight. He was
the true number one contender. He wanted Jericho at
Wrestlefest in a cage so it could be just the two of
them to show the world that he was the true world
champion.

I wonder if Austin's eliminating Pillman will cause any uneasyness in the hollywood blondes

And Hayabusa and Vader battle to a 30 minute draw, how epic.  :)

Demolition retaining the titles isn't a surprise to me.  The Steiners next month might be a little bit different.

I think all three matches that have already been announced for next week will be great encounters.  High rating from Liger/Jericho in a cage.  Medium/High rating from Hayabusa & Vader in the cage, but I don't think the fans would care if this one was a snooze fest, they just want to see Hayabusa get revenge on his former partner.    Steiners/Demolition should be good too.

Predictions: (I haven't done this in a while, but...) Liger, Vader, & The Steiners Brothers.  I think we'll only see one belt change hands next week.  I think it'll take Hayabusa longer into the program to overcome Vader and for some reason I just don't see Jericho taking the title away from Liger, at least not by next month (Not saying Jericho isn't deserving of the title in IWA, just saying that if he does win it off of Liger I just don't think it'll be next month)

Like I have said before, no one can predict the IWA. *lol*

We will however see some new faces (or heels) in the IWA come Wrestlefest II. The quesiton is, who will be the new impact players in the IWA, and what will their role be?

;D
