Problem with my circuit history

SeanH529Posted on 08/28/05 at 03:13:47

I don't know why this bothers me but it just does! The title history for my heavyweight title is all messed up at the end.

Raven beat Jun Akiyama to win my title on my 128th card. This was a cage match.

Now on my CH plugin it says Raven won the title at Sacrafice my 141st card when in reality Raven defended the title over Shane Douglas.

As Jerry Seinfield says "what is the deal?!?!"
The CH says he won because they handed over the title. Is this a bug with Cage matches that started this problem?

I am just browsing along and notice another issue. MY CH doesn't even recognize the last Tag team to hold my titles.

Paul London and Colt Cabana won my tag titles at A Night to Remember and lost them at Sacrafice...same card numbers as the Raven title problem. I wonder if there is an issue because I wrote so much with the circuit editor...hmmm

Also I wanted to add the Tag titles were won as the titles were VACANT and London and Cabana won a 4 way match to capture the gold.

Hi Sean,

this is impossible for me to figure out remotely. Like any data-driven program (especially when you're dealing with things put in via the Circuit Editor), it's impossible to cover all the bases.

Long story short - if you send me your TNM zipped, I'll make the problem go away and will send you a new version of the Circuit History plugin :)

I can tell you now what the deal is.

You edited the match results and added text after the result and title changes. This violated the syntax TNM uses for its matches, hence it could no longer pick up on title changes.

Since the Circuit Editor plugin is a legitimate plugin and you did nothing wrong by adding your comments to the end of the match result, I reprogrammed both the Circuit History and the Weight Class Wizard (last five title defenses!) plugins to allow for such editing, while still recognizing title defenses.

Please feel free to download the new Circuit History 1.21 / Weight Class Wizard 1.91 plugins.

Thanks!
