Match observations:

What a night of awesome IWA action. What a night for Jushin
Liger who retains his World Heavyweight Title...

In our opening bout, The Television Title as on the line as
Vader took on the TV champ, Sabu. Sabu was the crowd favorite
in this bout. The fans didn't seem to like Vader after he
turned on Hayabusa. In the end it was the man from the rockie
mountains getting the win and becomming the new Television
Champion. Vader did issue a challange to Hayabusa. He said that
in his first match without Hayabusa, he won a title belt. He said
that that proved his point on how much of a weaker wrestler
Hayabusa is and he has no problem showing everyone.

Mil Mascaras took on his not so good of a friend Brian Pillman.
Pillman wasn't throwing tortillas or dressing as a mexican
outlaw tonight. He just came down to the ring his usal cocky
self. In the end it was Mascaras getting the win.

In our first look at Hayabusa since the Vader attack, he teamed
up with the young duo of The Rockers to take on The Powers of
Pain and the Undertaker. The crowed was really behind the Rockers
and Hayabusa. Hayabusa got the win for his team. After the bout,
Hayabusa said he accepted Vader's challange.

Triple Threat for the IWA Tag Team Titles! The Steiner Brothers, the
former World Tag Team Champs, took on Sting and lex Luger, a team
who have come so close to the tag team titles before, and the current
champions, Demolition. Ax and Smash are a team with power and
no remorse. With Mr. Fuji along side of them, they have the
chance to go along time as IWA Tag Team Champs. Ax and Smash
did indeed end up getting the win in this triangle match!

Steve Austin was set to take on The Ultimate Warrior. The
Ultimate Warrior no showed!

Steve Austin came out to the ring and said that he just spoke
to Vader. He said that Vader has issued a 1000 bounty on anyone
who could soften up Hayabusa. He then called out Hayabusa
and told him that if Hayabusa didn't want to get "jumped"
in the back he needed to come out and face Austin one
on one. Hayabusa came out and said he had no issues with
Austin, but had no problem showing Austin what he was going to
do to Vader next month.

Austin and Hayabusa went at it. Hayabusa took it to Austin like
no one ever has. Hayabusa's fatigue set in as he had already
wrestled once tonight. Austin seemed to have the match one, even
hitting the stone cold stunner. Hayabusa somehow mananged to
kick out. Hayabusa worked his way back up and was able to
get the win over Austin. A very big upset!!!

Our World Title bout, Chris Jericho taking on Jushin Liger.
Liger who was recently named Wrestler of the Year for 1990
came out to a big ovation from the crowed. He was also
the Most Popular Wrestler. This match went back and forth.
Both men had a counter for eachothers moves. We saw great
mat wrestling, high flying manuvers, technical wrestling,
we had a great treat to witness these two men square off. Liger
proved to everyone that he is still the worthy champ and
he has another shot of Wrestler of the Year for 1991!
Liger got the win over Jericho

Next month, IWA Presents: Truth of Consequenses

Matches announced:

10 man over the top battle royal, winner recieves Title Shot!

TV Title:
Hayabusa -Vs- Vader

Plus more to be announced!

Poor Sabu, not a long title reign at all.

3 smaller guys beat 3 bigger guys, looking at the match-up I think I would have guessed it would end this way either.  The Powers of Pain don't seem to have alot of momentum at the moment, but still. :)

Hayabusa did double duty tonight and still managed to pull off a nice rating for his second match.  I think Vader will win early on in the feud, but if the program is allowed to run for a while and build momentum, I think Hayabusa will end up on top.

Liger... what can I say.  I think that belt is straying around his waist for a while.

Hmmm, good effort from Hayabusa. Americamamushi says that Liger will hold on to the belt for a while, but after tonight, I have to wonder whether or not Hayabusa might be able to prove that wrong. He's certainly earned a shot - beating Austin (BIG win) and beating The Warlord (umm, I guess it's nothing to be ashamed of). OK, he's got a TV title shot for now, but if he keeps winning, then who knows...

Meanwhile, the Demos really have turned things around after that slow start and losing streak, they've got some serious momentum now.

And finally, the Warrior does something I approve of. ;)
