[Title Shot Contract up for grabs]: Number-One-Contenders-Triangle Ladder Match:
Afternoon Delight (Lee Awesome and Lee Handsome) defeated
Hell's Angels (Anger and Hate) and Gangsta Heaven (Gotti and Hoffa) in 0:31:11.
Rating: **
[Cardinal Synn interfered against Lee Handsome.]
[Cardinal Synn interfered against Hoffa.]

These 3 teams went the distance and a winner had to be decided so after 30 minutes, the referee had to continue the match and 1 min and 10 seconds later,
Afternoon Delight were the #1 contenders.

Mexican Death No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Ben Tuckwell and Steve Austin and CM Punk and Trent Acid battled to a draw in 0:30:00.
Rating: **** 1/4

What a fight! This cant even be called a match...it was a brawl. What is it going to take to settle the score that has developed between these 4 men?

Scott Starring revealed his tag partner is R V D!!!

Who would have ever expected that Raven and Sabu would have to stand across the ring from Sabu's old partner, Rob Van Dam who was Scott Starring's surprise tag partner for the following match up?

Raven and Sabu defeated Scott Starring and Rob Van Dam when Sabu pinned Starring with the Triple Jump Moonsault in 0:23:24.
Rating: *** 1/2
[Van Wild interfered against Rob Van Dam.]
[Van Wild interfered against Scott Starring.]

We may have the beginnings of an incredible run between former partner, Sabu and Rob Van Dam who have been seperated just like Van Wild seperated himself from Scott Starring.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Iron Man Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Jonathan Smith beat Frank Knight 3 falls to 0:
x Smith beat Uncle Frank via the Finding Yahweh in 0:10:10
x Smith beat Uncle Frank via an abdominal stretch in 0:23:52
x Smith beat Uncle Frank via a sleeperhold in 0:28:10
x time limit expired (Smith and Uncle Frank) in 0:30:00
Rating: **** 1/4
[Lily-Ann Smith interfered against Frank Knight.]

Uncle Frank has to get used to it. He can NOT defeat Jonathan Smith in singles action. We are already hearing rumblings that Knight is looking for a partner to try and take out Smith in tag team action.

Texas Death Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Eddie Guerrero with the Gory Bomb in 0:05:39.
Rating: *** 3/4

This was insane. Chavo proved to his Uncle Eddie that he may indeed be the better Guerrero.

[World Tag Title]:
Team Xtreme (James Robinson and Lance Williams) defeated
Afternoon Delight (Lee Awesome and Lee Handsome) when Williams pinned Handsome
after a powerslam in 0:16:45.
Rating: ****
(Team Xtreme retained the World Tag Titles.)
[Marty Lyons interfered against Lee Awesome.]
[Marty Lyons interfered against Lee Handsome.]

Real Xtreme kept their tag titles but not without help from their manager, Marty Lyons who distracted referee Jason Bach whenever the tag titles were at risk.

After the match, Afternoon Delight petitioned for a rematch being that the referee was not Senior official, Hector Ortega who is supposed to officiate ALL title fights. That rematch WILL happen next week.

Elimination Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Edge, Lance Storm and Werewolf Gregorson beat
The Hatebreed (Jack Ripper, Lark Fenriz and Lucifer Magnusson) 3 falls to 0:
x L. Storm beat Magnusson via a Northern Lights suplex in 0:18:00
x Edge beat Fenriz via a chop in 0:30:21
x L. Storm beat Ripper via the Superkick in 0:34:45
Survivors: Edge, Lance Storm, Werewolf Gregorson
Rating: *** 1/2
[Cardinal Synn interfered against Werewolf Gregorson.]

The faces got themselves a win! Enough said.

Travis LaGrange pinned Teddy Diablo after a jack-knife power bomb in 0:07:42.
Rating: **** 1/4

These two were pitted in a standard rules match unlike their previous hardcore encounters and LaGrange showed he didn't need all the carnage in order to get a victory over Diablo.

[World Title]: No-Time-Limit-Match:
Maxis Cendres made Jack Evans submit to an airplane spin in 0:10:50.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Maxis Cendres retained the World Title.)

Maxis won his first title defense. The match originally went to a Double Countout but the referee decided to continue the match so that the fans would not go home with a sour taste in their mouth.

Card rating: ****

Post Event observations:

***HUGE NEWS UPDATE**
Eddie Guerrero and RPW management were expected to sit down after tonight's event for a renewal of Eddie's contract. Eddie showed up but instead of renewing, he chose to walk out on the RPW. Obviously his loss tonight to his nephew set something off inside of him. Eddie was expected to face the World champ at our next big event after he won the Rumble Pro Rumble match but that title shot is now up for grabs. A new contender will be decided in the weeks to come.

On to next week's card where we will see in action...

- A rematch for the World Tag titles between Afternoon Delight and Real Xtreme...this time, Hector Ortega WILL be assigned as the referee.

- Ben Tuckwell and Steve Austin will do battle in a steel cage against CM Punk and Trent Acid and there is NO TIME LIMIT

- Jonathan Smith has agreed to face Frank Knight in a tag team match. Smith has already chosen his tag partner but we don't have any names at this time. Frank Knight says he has called upon a favor to someone who he feels will get the job done. We'll have to see what the mystery is all about come next week.

- Raven, Sabu and Van Wild will do battle with Scott Starring, Rob Van Dam and a mystery partner that Scott Starring says is yet another skeleton from the closets of Sabu and Raven.

- Our main event for the evening will be Maxis Cendres defending his World title for the second week in a row. His challenger this week is Travis LaGrange and the special referee will be Travis' good 'buddy', Teddy Diablo.
Let's see if Diablo's presence in this match works against LaGrange.

Also we will be starting to draw names for the next Rumble Pro Rumble that will decide who will be the NEW contender to face the World champ at our big year end event a few short months away.

All this and much more at next week's Rumble Pro event.

Eddie's quitting sort of throws a hitch into the "ultra-promote" the card for week #49 thing doesn't it?  ;)

Of course, there's a LOT of directions the big end of year show can head now.  This should be a real cracker jack!
Shaun SindelmanPosted on 07/16/04 at 09:30:11

Yeah - i figure the only way to get the fans still interested in the big mega card on wk 49 would be to build up towards a new #1 contender and hope nobody quits on me til then.

Part of me felt like bringing Guerrero back in time for a big return in week 49 but after he left me holding my d*ck in my hand, he can go f*ck himself. =)
