cerberosPosted on 07/19/04 at 03:38:59

Velocity comes on the air and we see Booker T coming to the ring.  Funaki came out next and we have our opening match.

Booker seemed to be rejuvenated against Smackdown's number 1 announcer as he destroyed Funaki in short order.  He hit several Book Ends before hitting his Axe Kick for the win.

Booker T pinned Funaki with the Axe Kick in 0:01:40.

After the match we see that our main event tonight is Luther Reigns taking on Scotty 2 Hotty and up next it will be Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly taking on the Basham's.

Commercial Break

Billy and Hardcore were jumped as the entered the ring.  The quickly hit their Ball and Gag finisher on Holly but Gunn broke it up.  Gunn quickly hit his One and Only Cobra Clutch slam.  Gunn turned right into a right hand from the other Basham.  Gunn reversed an Irish whip and kicked him in the gut.  Gunn ran into the ropes but is hit in the back with a chair.  Brian Hebner quickly called for the bell.

Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly defeated The Basham Brothers (Doug Basham and Danny Basham) when B. Gunn defeated Danny Basham by disqualification in 0:03:12.

[Dawn Marie interfered against Billy Gunn.]

The Basham's didn't know what to do till Dawn slapped them.  They both looked confused till she slapped them again and walked away and the brothers quickly followed.

We then go to footage of the Cruiserweight title match on Smackdown.  We also see that after the break it will be Charlie Haas, with Miss Jackie, taking on Mark Jindrak.

Commercial Break

Charlie Haas actually went for the runway with Miss Jackie as he came out.  Mark Jindrak came out with Teddy Long.  Mark was in charge early by shoving Charlie around with his superior size.  Haas ducked a clothesline and took over with an exploder suplex.  Haas went to the top and hit a flying clothesline for a two count.  Teddy jumped up on the apron but was knocked off by Haas.  Haas turned right into a picture perfect dropkick.  Jindrak went for the Mark of Excellence but Haas countered into a modified DDT.  Haas then locked in the Haas of Pain.   Teddy again tried to interfere but Miss Jackie distracted him by acting like she is tying her shoe and showing off her 'assets'.  Jindrak didn't tap out but finally passed out.

Commercial Break

After the break we see footage of the Tag Team title match from Smackdown.  We see Eddie attacking D-Von and basically costing the Dudley's the titles.

Commercial Break

We come back and we see Shannon Moore in the ring waiting for Johnny Stamboli with Nunzio.  Early on Moore was able to keep the much bigger Stamboli off his guard with some high flying moves.  However Johnny caught Moore and gave him a vicious press slam into a powerslam.  Johnny then went to work stomping the hell out Moore.  He tossed the cruiserweight around a little more before hitting his Fuhgetaboutit swinging Rock Bottom.

Johnny Stamboli pinned Shannon Moore with the Fuhgetaboutit in 0:07:54.

Commercial Break

After the break we see footage of Eddie Guerrero winning the WWE Title for a second time.  We also see footage from after Smackdown went off the air.  We see that Luther attacked Eddie as he was getting back into his low rider.  Luther gave Eddie the Roll of the Dice on the car.  We go to our last break and see that our main event is next.

Commercial Break

We come back and see Luther, along with Kurt Angle, entering the ring.  Luther dominates the Worm master Scotty 2 Hotty.  Scotty was able to take over after a missed clothesline with a few right hands and a splash in the corner.  Scotty hit his bulldog and went for the WORM but Luther was ready.  As Scotty went for the chop to end it Luther nipped up and hit a clothesline that turned Scotty upside down and inside out.  Luther then hit his Roll of the Dice for the win.

Luther Reigns pinned Scotty 2 Hotty with the Roll of the Dice in 0:05:47.

Decent episode again - once again, it has that feel of an episode of Velocity, but with some storyline advancement, decent matches and a couple of star names (Booker and Angle for starters) there.

Interesting that Luther seems to be being groomed for some sort of feud with Eddie, even if it's at Angles bidding and it's him that ends up getting the big title shot, you'd figure Luther gets a match with Eddie somewhere too... maybe even this Thursday. I'll be intrigued to see how that one ends up panning out.

Hey, here's a question - what will happen if someone you're using gets transfered to Raw or even leaves the company (were you planning on doing any storylines with Rikishi...)? Will you stay faithful to the real life goings on or will you make your own decisions?
cerberosPosted on 07/19/04 at 04:10:47

Well I will do my best.  Right now I have Rikishi through summerslam since I have it done up till then.  I will try to stay as current as I can as far as stars.  Like you could see Big Jon Heidenrich show up but you never know.  Anyway thanks for the praise.
