NEW TNM FE Puroreso based Circuit!

Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/25/04 at 17:10:01

Since my SE has only one more day after today before it expires (until a couple of months) I won't be running any more cards in my fantasy wrestling circuit! Actually, I had to reinstall tnm se last night, so the circuit has been cancelled yet again!

So now, I want so advice on who to have in my brand new Puro Based circuit using TNM7 FE (which luckily I am registered to!

I want to know who I should hire, so I'm going to do what Jimi C is doing and ask the fans, who they think I should hire. I want Japanese wrestlers, North American Wrestlers, a good fed name (but not a real Puro fed name, I want to keep it original), I'd also like to add at least one European based wrestler to the mix (I already have William Regal in mind)

Title and tag team suggestions would be good too!
xsouporheroxPosted on 06/25/04 at 17:29:07

Mitsuhara Misawa
Toshiaka Kawada
Yuji Nagata
Jun Akiyama
Steve Corino
Kurt Angle
Jyushin "Thunder" Lyger

Fed Name: Great Tokyo Pro Wrestling, Wrestling PRO X.  Doesn't have to sound correct/nice to american ears to sound like an incredible hit to the Japanese either.

Japanese Wrestlers: Keiji Muto (Or Great Muta), Shinya Hashimoto, Masahiro Chono, Takuma Sano, Jun Akiyama, Kenta Kobashi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Taiyo Kea, Hiroshi Hase, Jinsei Shinzaki, Hayabusa, Takao Omori, Yoshihiro Takayama, Tatsuhiro Takaiwa, Yuji Nagata, Toshiaki Kawada, Mitsuharu Misawa, Kentaro Shiga, Taiji Ishimori, Tadao Yasuda, Tatsutoshi Goto, Shiro Koshinaka, Shinjiro Otani, Akira Taue, Satoshi Kojima, Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Tatsumi Fujinami, Riki Choshyu, Daio QUALTT, Naomichi Marufuji, Masato Tanaka, Mr. Gannosuke, Masahito Kakihara, Koji Kanemoto, Jushin Liger, Kenichiro ARAI, Dick Togo, CIMA, SUWA, Don Fujii, TARU, Milan Collection AT, Atsushi Onita, Great Sasukem YOSSINO, Dragon Kid, Ultimo Dragon, Chocoflake K-ICHI, K-Ness, Susumu Yokosuka, Ryo Saito, Genki Horiguchi, Naoki Tanisaki, Masaaski Mochizuki... ok... umm... I went a little over board with the names... and I didn't even name everyone. :)  Some people may look at this and say "That guy isn't good" or something, but you have to remember, puro fans & Japanese fans look past just the talent and look to the fighting spirit of someone.

American: Curry Man (Christopher Daniels), Vader, Too Cold Scorpio, Mike Modest, Stan Hansen

European: Regal would be a good choice.

Titles: World & tag obviously, probly a light/cruiserweight too.

I might list some guys I didn't above here

Teams/Stables: Italian Connection (Milano Collection AT, YOSSINO, Condotti Shuji, Brother YASSINI, Berlinetta Boxer, Pescatore Yagi), Crazy MAX (CIMA, TARU, SUWA, & Don Fujii) Do FIXER (Magnum Tokyo, K-Ness, Susumu Yokosuka, Ryo Saito, Genki Horiguchi, Naoki Tanisaki), No Fear (Takao Omori & Yoshihiro Takayama), Jinsei Shinzaki & Hayabusa.

Hope that was helpfull :)
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/25/04 at 18:38:51

I forgot to add. Any Luchadors (but not the high spotters) I could add? I was thinking about guys like Dr. Wagner Jr, and Mil Mascaras
americamamushiPosted on 06/25/04 at 21:07:52

El Hijo Del Santo, Satanico, L.A. Park (Formally the original La Parka), Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, & Shocker would be good choices.
91Posted on 06/26/04 at 00:38:18

I'm not overly familiar with puro, so I'll whack out those few guys who I am familiar with.

Guys like Hayabusa, Dick Togo, Jinsei Shinzaki, Takao Omori, Keijo Muto, Toshiaki Kawada, Jushin Liger, Masahiro Chono, Kendo Ka Shin and Kenta Kobashi, off the top of my head. I'll throw on Tajiri and Funaki while I'm here as the ultimate "I DEFINITELY know those guys" deal.

If you're going for American guys, I guess the obvious move is to go for people who have a history in Japan. We're talking Vader, Stan Hansen, Steve Williams, The Patriot, Chris Jericho, X-Pac (might want to go for a younger export), Chris Benoit and, good lord, Hulk Hogan (I'll leave that one at your discression as to whether you count that as a vote or not).

And if you want European guys, damnit, I'm gonna say Jody Fleisch again. And William Regal. And Dynamite Kid.

Finally, were Hayabusa and Shinzaki ever a team? If not, sod it, there's my token tag team suggestion.

Actually, they were a team at one point, albeit briefly
91Posted on 06/26/04 at 01:04:22

Had a suspicion they might have been, since I understand they're close friends, but I was speculating. Still, the tag team vote stands.

Yep.  They were a mystery tag team in my circuit recently.

Yeah, they teamed up in ECW. I do remember that.

What're the standings?
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 07/01/04 at 19:22:16

Sorry, that I haven't been attending to this post recently, but I had some problems on my computer that I had to work out first (non-TNM related) It's currently 2:52PM here, I will post the standings tomorrow night
americamamushiPosted on 07/01/04 at 20:18:33

Suggestion...

Have Atsushi Onita use his Great Nita gimmick and Satoshi Kojima use his Great Koji gimmick (both are Muta knock-offs)

Then have a stable called... I don't know... something darn clever though with Great Muta, Great Nita, & Great Koji.
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 07/01/04 at 20:24:37

Doesn't Koji Kanemoto also have an alternate gimmick with Great in it?
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 07/01/04 at 23:55:34

Could you please go back and edit your post, I would perfer if all the wrestlers to not be jumbled together in a paragraph format, I find it hard to pick out the names that way, just a suggestion. Maybe if you just separtate all the wrestlers into two or three paragraphs instead of one, it would be most helpful in be counting the votes. I should have said something sooner. I'm not just picking on you, this goes to everyone

Owen Hart RIPPosted on 07/06/04 at 20:50:00

I am no longer taking votes on the fed name, I've decided to call it NWWJ (New World Wrestling Japan)

As for wrestlers, I've decided to limit the amount of wrestlers one can vote for to 10! That's not 10 wrestlers altogether, just 10 per post! Meaning, you can vote for more than 10, but in order for those wrestlers to count, it has to be in seperate posts. I have no limits on title suggestions, Venues, etc. There will also be a limit of 5 tag teams per post. I will not use any FCA cubed matches because I can't get it to work. I decided to keep this a strictly technical fed, any "hardcore" matches will be used for feuds and stuff only. I may add a hardcore title though, but I'm not giving any promises!
