cerberosPosted on 07/10/04 at 19:41:31

Velocity comes on the air and we go right to the ring where Mark Jindrak is with Theodore Long taking on Orlando Jordon.

Jindrak controlled most of the match against the youngster Orlando Jordan.  Jordan did have a little flurry including his running powerslam but that wasn't enough.  Jordan came off the ropes right into the Mark of Excellence for the pinfall.

Mark Jindrak pinned Orlando Jordan with the Mark Of Excellence in 0:05:12.

Paul London and Billy Kidman and Akio and Sakoda battled to a double pin in 0:10:29.

Commercial Break

Mordecai, fresh off his lost to Rey Misterio a week and a half ago, faced of with Charlie Haas and Miss Jackie.  Mordecai threw Haas around early on but Haas came back with a series of different suplexs.  Haas went for a version of the Stinger Splash but Mordecai caught him with a Chokeslam.  This brought Jackie on the apron.  Mordecai went over to her but she planted a kiss on him.  He was stunned and stumbled right back into a German suplex.  Haas locked in the Haas of Pain for the submission win.

Charlie Haas made Mordecai submit to the Haas Of Pain in 0:08:19.

Hey, quite a main there. Actually that really felt like an episode of Velocity. Just with a little more star power.

Good stuff.  It felt very authentic to an actual episode of Velocity - no long matches, no really big names, and lots of recaps.  If you want to make things even more accurate, however, you might want to consider tossing a no name jobber squash in there.  It actually wouldn't be that hard.  Just make up a jobber (just don't assign a finisher and they will never win), assign it some generic offense, and change its name every so often to someone from the indy scene or OVW.  And have them lose in 3 minute squashes.

Just a thought.

Actually that is a really good idea.  I was having a hard time with Velocity and never really thought of that.  Thanks a bunch.
